Opis:: Niniejszy artykuł ma na celu ukazanie przydatności wybranych aspektów analizy narracji w diagnozie klinicznej, w której – oprócz rozpoznania obrazu zaburzenia osobowości, mechanizmu psychopatologii i etiologii – istotne jest też poznanie sposobu doświadczania samego siebie przez pacjenta. Zakładamy, że wypowiedź pacjenta sama w sobie jest fenomenem psychicznym – sposobem konstrukcji (i przeżywania) zaburzenia, a analiza autonarracji pacjenta pozwala zrozumieć, jak konstruuje on swoją psychopatologię. Jako wiodącą koncepcję narracyjną wybrano do opisu kliniczny model narracyjnej organizacji doświadczenia (model of narrative development – Salvatore, Dimaggio i Semerari, 2004), a jako przykład kliniczny omówione zostało paranoiczne zaburzenie osobowości.

Opis:: The article is aimed at presenting the usability of some aspects of self-narrative analysis in clinical diagnosis. Clinical diagnosis concerns not only the identification of nosological categories, mechanisms of psychopathology, or etiology, but also familiarity with patients’ self-experience. It is assumed that the patient’s narrative is a psychological phenomenon in itself; it is a way of construing and re-experiencing his or her disorder. Therefore, self-narrative analysis is expected to lead to an understanding of how psychopathology is construed in language. As the leading theoretical approach, the model of narrative development proposed by Salvatore, Dimaggio, & Semerari (2004) was chosen. In order to illustrate narrative analysis, examples of paranoid personality self-narrative accounts are presented.

Opis:: Children create narratives by imitating styles present in their culture and own experiences. Hence, nurseries and primary schools play an important role in children’s building narratives. My intention has been to present narratives constructed by children taking into consideration the form rather than the content, as it had been done by V. Propp in his morphology. This type of researching children’s texts has not been previously employed in early school pedagogy. The analyses demonstrated that most stories created by early school pupils assume the form of modified and updated fairy tales, with a different number of functions.

Opis:: Studies on narcissism and narcissistic personality disorder often emphasize the key role of self-esteem in the mechanisms of this disorder. In previous studies, self-esteem has often been treated as a permanent feature of an individual and has been tested using self-report questionnaires or, in some cases, using experimental methods. Assuming that self-esteem may differ depending on the situation, different methods should be used in order to observe and study the processes related to it. In order to collect self-narratives for the purposes of the study, a semi-structured interview method was prepared to examine the self-esteem regulation in social situations. During the interview, the participant answers questions related to personal life experiences. Based on the content of interviews of participants with a high level of narcissistic traits selected from 20 conducted interviews, a preliminary analysis of the proactivity and defensiveness of self-narratives was conducted. The analysis mainly concerns the autonarratives of experiences related to failures and conflicts as events particularly significant for the self-esteem of an individual. The results of the preliminary analyzes allow us to present conclusions regarding proactivity and defensiveness as well as the characteristics of self-narratives referring to self-esteem in narcissistic group.

Opis:: This article regards written autobiographical narratives of people who stutter. The collected material was analysed using both the quantitative and the qualitative method. The aim of the research was to determine whether the issue of stuttering is touched upon in autobiographical narratives of people who stutter. If so, what portion of the narrative is dedicated to the theme of non-fluency of speech. The conducted analyses permitted the verification of the hypotheses posed. It was concluded that the ones including the theme of stuttering were predominant among the narratives collected. Stuttering is present both as a separate thread and as part of other thematic threads. Threads where the issue of non-fluency of speech was taken up most frequently can be distinguished in the analysed narratives.

Opis:: In research on social risks and insecurity qualitative methods have obvious advantages and successfully complement statistical quantitative approaches, which have been practiced for decades. This study is based on the thirty-two in-depth interviews collected in the period June 2003 to January 2004 for the project “Life Plans and Life Paths in the Post-Socialist Estonia.” The interviewees are representatives of the so-called “generation of winners”, i.e. the people aged 20 or 30 years at the beginning of the period of post-socialist reforms. The paper examines representations of social risks and challenges of the transition period in the biographical interviews as well as discursive patterns and strategies that interviewees use to produce relatively coherent biographical narratives

Opis:: The objective of the study is to apply eight hypotheses of the socioanalysis for the interpretation and critical social reading of the "self-narratives" of deaf applicants to Higher Education at the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS-Brazil). It is located in the theoretical-methodological field of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), and Deaf Studies (DS). We will analyze a narrative of a deaf subject, corpus collected in 2014, in the college entrance examination for the Brazilian Sign Language Course (LIBRAS), and adopt this methodological guideline, to define object of study; identify areas of interfaces that meet the objectives; select the categories of each area of interface; establish the dialogue between categories; identify the social meanings constructed in the discourse. The result confirms the role of socioanalysis in seeking to unveil how the practice of social relations and (re)construction of their identities in the struggle for citizenship rights articulate in the deaf individual's life.

Opis:: Artykuł prezentuje miejsce wojny i represji stalinowskich w narracjach biograficznych Polaków z Ukrainy Centralnej. Tekst powstał na podstawie analizy treści 63 wywiadów. Szczegółowej analizie poddane zostały 4 wybrane wywiady, reprezentujące najbardziej typowe struktury narracyjne. Celem było pokazanie wpływu oficjalnej sowieckiej pamięci II wojny światowej na kształtowanie się tożsamości najstarszego pokolenia Polaków z Żytomierszczyzny, Kijowszczyzny i Podola. Jak wszyscy mieszkańcy radzieckiej Ukrainy, mniejszość polska poddana była po wojnie silnej propagandzie państwowej, która gloryfikowała zwycięstwo ZSRR w wojnie z Niemcami i przemilczała represje z lat trzydziestych. W tej sytuacji pamięć biograficzna rozmówców sprzeczna była z pamięcią oficjalną. Analizowane wywiady reprezentują różne sposoby negocjowania własnej tożsamości w sytuacji, którą można nazwać asymetrią pamięci biograficznej i zbiorowej. Są to: negowanie części własnego doświadczenia, jego świadome zepchnięcie do sfery prywatnej (separacja) oraz różne odmiany margnalności (wycofanie i poszukiwania).
The article researches role of war and Stalin’s repressions in the biographical narratives of Poles living in Central Ukraine. The text is based on the content of 63 interviews. For the purpose of the detailed analysis I have chosen four of them; each representing a typical narrative structure. The aim of the article was to show infl uence of the offi cial Soviet memory of the II world war on the development of the oldest generation of Poles from Zhytomyr, Kyiv and Podilia region’s identity. As all inhabitants of the Soviet Ukraine, Polish minority was after the war subject of strong state propaganda, which glorifi ed USSR victory over the Germans and silenced repressions of the 1930. In this situation the biographical memory of the interviewees was contradictory to the offi cial one. Analyzed interviews represent various ways of negotiating one’s identity in the situation that might be called asymmetry of the biographical and collective memory. These are: denying part of one’s experience, moving it to the private sphere (separation) and various types of marginality (withdrawal and searching).
