    Let M be a non-empty set endowed with a dense linear order without the smallest and greatest elements. Let (G,+) be a group which has a non-trivial uniquely divisible subgroup. There are given conditions under which every solution F: M×G → M of the translation equation is of the form $F(a,x) = f^{-1}(f(a) + c(x))$ for a ∈ M, x ∈ G with some non-trivial additive function c: G → ℝ and a strictly increasing function f: M → ℝ such that f(M) + c(G) ⊂ f(M). In particular, a problem of J. Tabor is solved.

    Modifying Mawhin's definition of the GP-integral we define a well-behaved integral over n-dimensional compact intervals. While its starting definition is of Riemann type, we also establish an equivalent descriptive definition involving characteristic null conditions. This characterization is then used to obtain a quite general form of the divergence theorem.

    Opis:
    The work deals with the estimation of the parameters of linear and non-linear models for the prediction of real estate market values. The problem is interesting and important. The attractiveness of the real estate as an investment of capital encourages searching the best methods to estimate its value. The subject of investigation is a database of real estates including functional premises situated in Cracow, in the administration unit Śródmieście. The models selected for estimation of real estate market values have been presented. The analyses aimed to check if the market value should be determined by summation or by multiplication of the attributes shares. Furthermore, the effect of considering the non-linear character of the relation between an attribute and the price on modelling quality was examined as well as the answer to the question, if it is possible to reduce attributes without deterioration of modelling results. To choose the general estimation model, the following forms of functions modelling a local market of functional real estates were analysed: -additive function; a particular case of this function is the model multiple linear regression; the model is created by summation of the attributes shares, taking into account the non-linear relation between the price and the attribute; -multiplicative function; a model created by the product of shares of particular attributes, expressed as exponential variation, considered in two forms: 1)simple form, where the estimated coefficients are raised to the power corresponding to the values of particular attributes; 2)complex form, where the estimated coefficients are raised to the power corresponding to the value of non-linear function, determined for particular attributes and estimating the relation between the price and the attribute. Estimated models were verified by many statistical tests examining their quality as well as comparing models between each other. Models were also assessed on the basis of values of defined invariant parameters.
    Tematem artykułu jest estymacja parametrów modeli liniowych i nieliniowych dla potrzeb predykcji rynkowej wartości nieruchomości. Zagadnienie to stanowi ciekawy problem naukowo-badawczy. Atrakcyjność nieruchomości jako lokaty kapitału zachęca do poszukiwania jak najlepszych metod oszacowania jej wartości. Przedmiotem przeprowadzonych badań jest baza nieruchomości, w skład której wchodzą lokale użytkowe położone w Krakowie, w jednostce ewidencyjnej Śródmieście. Zaprezentowano modele wybrane do szacowania rynkowej wartości nieruchomości. Celem przeprowadzonych analiz było sprawdzenie, czy wartość rynkową powinno się otrzymywać poprzez zsumowanie udziałów poszczególnych atrybutów, czy też przez wymnożenie ich przez siebie. Ponadto badano wpływ uwzględnienia nieliniowego charakteru zależności pomiędzy danym atrybutem a ceną na jakość modelowania oraz poszukiwano odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy możliwa jest redukcja liczby atrybutów bez pogorszenia wyników modelowania. Dobierając ogólny model wyceny, analizowano następujące postacie funkcji modelujących lokalny rynek nieruchomości użytkowych: -funkcję addytywną, której szczególnym przypadkiem jest model liniowej regresji wielorakiej; model powstały przez zsumowanie udziałów atrybutów, z uwzględnieniem nieliniowej zależności pomiędzy ceną a danym atrybutem; -funkcję multiplikatywną; model powstały z iloczynu udziałów poszczególnych atrybutów, wyrażonych zmiennością wykładniczą, rozpatrywany w dwóch postaciach: 1) w postaci prostej, w której szacowane współczynniki podnoszone są do potęgi odpowiadającej wartości poszczególnych atrybutów; 2) w postaci złożonej, w której szacowane współczynniki podnoszone są do potęgi odpowiadającej wartości funkcji nieliniowej, wyznaczonej dla poszczególnych atrybutów, a estymującej zależność pomiędzy ceną a danym atrybutem. Wyestymowane modele poddano wielu testom statystycznym weryfikującym zarówno ich jakość, jak i porównującym modele między sobą. Oceniono je także na podstawie wartości zdefiniowanych parametrów niezmienniczych.

    In this paper, we take up the problem of axiomatically characterizing what we have referred to in the paper as the additive choice function on the classical domain for choice problems. Apart from an impossibility result for the additive choice function, there is an axiomatic characterization, which as a by-product provides a counterexample to a conjecture for the egalitarian choice function. In an appendix, we provide a proof of an axiomatic characterization of the egalitarian choice function using a superadditivity axiom. In this paper, we also provide proofs of axiomatic characterizations of the family of non-symmetric Nash choice functions and the family of weighted hierarchies of choice functions. Our conclusion is that earlier axiomatizations are essentially preserved on the classical domain for choice problems. The proofs are significant in being non-trivial and very dissimilar to existing proofs for other domains.

    Let Y be a subgroup of an abelian group X and let T be a given collection of subsets of a linear space E over the rationals. Moreover, suppose that F is a subadditive set-valued function defined on X with values in T. We establish some conditions under which every additive selection of the restriction of F to Y can be extended to an additive selection of F. We also present some applications of results of this type to the stability of functional equations.
