    The article presents the three-dimensional virtual world of the Second Life as a filed of academic activity. The educational sector in the Second Life is still powerful and active despite certain decrease of virtual worlds’ popularity as social and business environments in the recent years. The paper provides a description of member and thematic groups as the academic cooperation tools. It also discusses the workshops, certified courses and academic programs organized in the Second Life, whose aim is to educate the scientific and didactic staff working in virtual environment.

    Узагальнено українсько-польські наукові зв’язки у гуманітарній сфері за останнє двадцятиліття. Особливу увагу приділено дослідженням археологів обох країн про заселення території сучасної України у найдавніший період, реконструкції шляхів міграцій та переселень у неолітичну та ранню бронзову добу, культурним зв’язкам стародавнього населення Прикарпаття і Волині. Показано основні напрями та тематику історичних досліджень в установах Польської академії наук, Національної академії наук України та університетах обох країн, зокрема й тих, які викликають найбільше дискусій у суспільстві. Узагальнено досвід етнологів, філологів і культурологів щодо дослідження трансформацій традиційної культури в умовах пограниччя, особливостей етнокультурної інтеграції населення України та Польщі. Відзначено необхідність перейняття українськими науковцями та представниками влади досвіду Інституту національної пам’яті Польщі щодо декомунізації історичної пам’яті, вшанування жертв тоталітарних режимів, проведення документальних пошуків та правових експертиз.
    The article analyses cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian academic institutions in the field of humanities in the recent two decades. It focuses on archaeological research conducted by scholars of both countries in the field of study of  early settlements on the territories that are now Ukraine and mutual cultural influences of Prykarpattia and Volhynia population, as well as archaeological reconstruction of Neolithic and Bronze Age migration routes. The article also examines the main directions and issues of historical research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and universities of both countries with an emphasis on problematic issues that attract attention in both societies. It summarises the results of  research conducted by ethnologists, philologists and specialists in the field of culture that are related to transformation of traditional culture on the borderland and specific features of ethnic and cultural integration of Ukrainian and Polish population. The article suggests that the Ukrainian academy and authorities should adopt the best practices of the Polish Institute of National Memory regarding de-communisation of historical memory, commemorating victims of totalitarian regimes, conducting documentary research and legal expert evaluations.

    In the EU, advanced international cooperation is a characteristic feature of relations between neighbouring states. The idea behind cross-border cooperation spreads into various fields, including daily life, common programmes, priorities, and strategies. The primary motives behind it include the will to communicate with your neighbours, overcome hostility and prejudice between the two co-existing nations, enhance democracy and develop local administration structures, overcome isolation and remoteness, and quickly merge with the integrated Europe. The article discusses cross-border cooperation between universities in Poland and Germany, with particular attention paid to cooperation taking place between neighbouring cities of Słubice, Poland, and Frankfurt (Oder), Germany. However, before the cross-border cooperation is addressed, the article elaborates on a broader context.
    W Unii Europejskiej, zaawansowana współpraca międzynarodowa jest jedną z charakterystycznych cech sąsiadujących ze sobą państw. Idea współpracy transgranicznej obejmuje różne dziedziny, w tym życie codzienne, wspólne programy, priorytety i strategie. Główne motywy, które za nią stoją, to chęć porozumienia się z sąsiadami, przezwyciężenie wrogości i uprzedzeń między dwoma współistniejącymi narodami, wzmocnienie demokracji i rozwój lokalnych struktur administracyjnych, przezwyciężenie izolacji i oddalenia oraz szybkie połączenie się ze zintegrowaną Europą. Niniejszy artykuł dotyczy akademickiej współpracy transgranicznej między Polską a Niemcami, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem współpracy między sąsiadującymi miastami Słubice w Polsce i Frankfurt nad Odrą w Niemczech. Zanim jednak omówiona zostanie współpraca transgraniczna, artykuł prezentuje szerszy kontekst.

    Prof. Walenty Piłat first co-operated with the Department of Russian Philology in the Higher Pedagogical School (in the mid-70s of the 20th c.). Prof. Piłat with Prof. Albert Bartoszewicz initiated a series of international Slavic conferences which have been organised in Olsztyn biennially until today. He also co-established Acta Polono- -Ruthenica, a scientific journal published in Olsztyn, and was its editor since 2001 to 2016. He always found it extremely important to cooperate with the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University in Kaliningrad. His academic interests have always centred on modern Russian drama, in this field he published extensively both in Poland and abroad. Not only a scientist, but also a teacher, he was a supervisor of a few dozen MA students and a few Ph.D. candidates.

    The International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD) holds a dominant role globally, its mission, since 1938, being to offer quality information and educate in the field of international taxation. The organisation has seventy experts from over thirty countries, along with the contributing correspondents in 120 countries, and keeps the world’s largest tax library. IBFD’s international offer includes independent tax/fiscal studies and research into the international tax law of the EU; education; international tax information; and, government consulting. IBFD’s cooperation with Poland and Polish tax law professors dates back to the 1960s and has been developing ever since.

    Głównym celem artykułu jest próba oceny, czy współpraca naukowa jest istotną składową regionalnego potencjału innowacyjnego. W pierwszej części, na podstawie przeglądu literatury, przedstawiono wstępną operacjonalizację najważniejszych elementów składowych potencjału innowacyjnego. Ich empirycznej weryfikacji dokonano za pomocą analizy czynnikowej. Na tej podstawie można stwierdzić, że współpraca naukowa jest istotną składową tego potencjału, gdyż wskaźniki ją ilustrujące weszły w skład jego wymiaru „naukowego” (centralność pośrednicząca) oraz „rdzeniowego” (umiędzynarodowienie). Współpraca nie była natomiast powiązana z wymiarem „technologicznym”, który odgrywał w badanym okresie największą rolę w kształtowaniu dynamiki wzrostu regionów europejskich. Natomiast „rdzeniowość”, w skład której wchodziło m.in. umiędzynarodowienie współpracy naukowej, okazała się istotna przy wyjaśnianiu dynamiki rozwoju trzech z dziewięciu wyróżnionych podtypów regionów np. „naukowo-technologicznego”. Może to oznaczać, że zagraniczna współpraca naukowa ma znaczenie dla rozwoju tych regionów, które są kluczowe z perspektywy europejskiego potencjału innowacyjnego.
    The main aim of the paper is an attempt to assess whether academic cooperation is an important component of a region’s innovation potential. First, a preliminary operationalization of the most important components of innovation potential is presented based on a literature review. The components are then verified using factor analysis which makes it possible to identify the main dimensions of a region’s innovation potential. The results suggest that academic cooperation is a significant component of the potential, given that the indicators that illustrate it are part of the potential’s „academic” dimension (betweenness centrality) and of its „core” dimension nternationalization). However, the paper shows that cooperation is not linked with the “technological” dimension that, at the time of the study, played the central role in shaping European regions’ growth dynamic. The ”core” dimension, on the other hand, comprising e.g. internationalization of academic cooperation, proved to be significant in explaining the growth dynamics of three out of nine subtypes of regions, the “academic-technological” among others. It may mean that foreign academic cooperation is important for the development of the regions that are key for European innovation potential.

    Począwszy od 2001 roku z inicjatywy badaczy reprezentujących środowisko Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego oraz Misyjnego Seminarium Duchownego Księży Werbistów w Pieniężnie corocznie odbywają się debaty naukowe pod wspólnym hasłem Sacrum i profanum we współczesnym świecie. Ich tematyka dotyczy ważnych problemów współczesnego świata – począwszy od wyzwań i zagrożeń dla pokoju, bezpieczeństwa oraz stabilności w poszczególnych regionach, poprzez problemy globalne, związane z istotą i ewolucją współczesnego ładu światowego, aż po zagadnienia odnoszące się do aksjologicznych i epistemologicznych aspektów funkcjonowania państw i społeczeństw w zmieniającym się świecie. Spotkania te stały się swego rodzaju instytucją, skupiając spore grono badaczy z różnych ośrodków akademickich, a także przykładem inspirującej współpracy naukowców, reprezentujących odmienne dyscypliny badawcze, różne podejścia metodologiczne oraz świeckie i kościelne środowiska akademickie.
    Since 2001, on the initiative of researchers representing the environment of the University of Warsaw and the Theological Seminary in Pieniężno, annual scientific debates are held under the motto “Sacred and profane in the modern world”. Their subject matter concerned important problems of the modern world ranging from challenges and threats to peace, security and stability in individual regions through global problems related to the essence and evolution of the contemporary world order to issues relating to the axiological and epistemological aspects of the functioning of states and societies in a changing world. These meetings have become a kind of institution bringing together a large group of researchers from various academic centres and an example of inspiring cooperation of scientists representing different research disciplines, different methodological approaches as well as secular and ecclesiastical academic environments.

    The article describes the experience of Belarus in the field of international academic mobility. The purpose of the article is to reveal the theoretical and methodological aspects of the internationalization of higher education and academic mobility and describe the current situation on the integration of Belarus into the international context, from a sociological and statistical perspective. In view of the significant number of Belarusian students in Polish and Eastern European universities, the topic is relevant in the context of the study of academic mobility in Eastern Europe. As part of the first task, the theoretical aspects of studying the internationalization of higher education in the country are described – with justification for the development of both the external and internal internationalization, as well as a description of various types of students’ adaptation when studying abroad (academic, linguistic, socio-cultural). As part of the second task, the results of the author’s sociological study are presented, which includes two main components. Firstly, the results of a survey devoted to the study of the views of Belarusian students regarding academic mobility (including cognitive, affective and behavioural aspects) are presented. Secondly, the results of a series of in-depth interviews among participants in the processes of academic mobility aimed at studying the practices of Belarusian students staying abroad for educational purposes are considered. The studies showed the need to increase the awareness of Belarusian students about the possibilities of academic mobility (the vast majority of students have incomplete or fragmented ideas about the possibilities of academic mobility), as well as the problem of the incomplete involvement of the Belarusian higher education system in the international context (the activity of students participating in exchange programs is not counted at Belarusian universities). In accordance with the results, recommendations are given for the further integration of the Belarusian higher education system into the international context.

    Opis:
    Contemporary Western philosophy has been generally perceived as one that encompasses two divergent traditions of philosophical thought: analytic and continental. A number of writers have drawn attention to the difficulty of explaining the differences between them. A small number of authors have even questioned the credibility of the analytic-continental division. In this paper I argue that the gulf between traditions is real and has a negative impact on three elements of education in Croatia: philosophy as an academic subject, students and university professors. Before delving into the aforementioned issue, I briefly specify areas of philosophical inquiry where the gulf is the most evident. I end paper with several suppositions concerning the future path of both traditions, which are mostly based on the idea of cooperation between analytic and continental philosophers as it would profoundly contribute to the advancement of teaching philosophy.

    In developed countries, the academic entrepreneurship makes up a very important element of academic environment activities. For some time, the increase in the role of technology transfer and knowledge commercialisation has been also promoted in Poland. Strong connections between the scholarship and the economy (in the future, within the university of the third generation) have a chance to build an economy based on knowledge in our country. The flow of knowledge and the introduction of new solutions (results of scholarly research) in enterprises take place through the intermediary of various methods of transfer and commercialisation paths. Independent of the manner, each fulfils an important role in the public life and economy. This is confirmed by the experience of the States that are recognised as innovation leaders, and presented in the paper as examples of Polish scholars’ academic entrepreneurship.

    The aim of the Faculty of Theology, Section in Tarnów of the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Cracow is a comprehensive and systematic study of God’s revelation in different periods and aspects of the life of the Church and a human being.     Opis:
    Academic achievement varies according to the perception of learning environments (LE). The current study aimed to investigate how the perception of LE differs according to level of academic achievement. 1,106 Thai undergraduate students replied to a survey. Analyzing the data with One-way analysis of variance differences were found in perception of the LE in terms of task orientation and instructor feedback. Average-achieving students perceived task orientation higher than high and low-achieving students. High-achieving students perceived instructor feedback the most. This study provides insights into each type of LE applied in the classroom and suggests how individual academic achievers can be suitably enhanced.

    1964 wurde im neutralen Österreich die „Internationale Lenau-Gesellschaft“ gegründet. Bei ihren Tagungen trafen sich Wissenschaftler aus zahlreichen Ländern diesseits und jenseits des ‚Eisernen Vorhangs‘. Die Arbeit an der historisch-kritischen Lenau- Ausgabe führte zu einer intensiven Zusammenarbeit von Germanisten aus der Bundesrepublik Deutschland und der DDR, Österreich, Ungarn und Polen. Berichtet wird von den Mühen und den Erfolgen dieses Grenzen überschreitenden Projekts.
    W roku 1964 utworzone zostało w neutralnej Austrii „Międzynarodowe Towarzystwo Lenaua“. Na konferencjach tego towarzystwa spotykali się naukowcy z licznych państw leżących po obu stronach ‚Żelaznej kurtyny‘. Praca nad historyczno-krytycznym wydaniem dzieł Lenaua doprowadziła do intensywnej współpracy germanistów z RFN, NRD, Austrii, Węgier i Polski. Artykuł jest relacją o trudach i sukcesach tego przekraczającego granice projektu.
    In 1964, in neutral Austria, the „International Lenau Society“ was established. Scholars from many countries on both sides of the ‚Iron Curtain‘ met at the conferences of this society. Joint effort on the historical and critical publication of the works of Lenau led to intensive co-operation of Germanists from East and West Germany, Austria, Hungary and Poland. The article relates the difficulties and successes of that transborder project.

    The article describes contacts between academic societies operating in the lands of partitioned Poland. Its purpose is to present the current status of research on this very wide topic and to indicate the need for research that arises in this respect. A comprehensive view of these contacts shows that the topic has not been acknowledged to-date. Therefore, it has not been properly reflected in the professional literature. Where the topic has been recognized by authors, it has often not been properly interpreted. The most frequent mistake that has been made by researchers is perceiving the issue from an exclusively ethnic angle, which – particularly in respect of the lands of partitioned Poland – is related to the conflicts arising in such conditions. Seen against the background of the contacts between the various academic institutions operating in the three partitions, it is clearly visible how complicated the matter was and how different factors played a role in forming and discontinuing relationships.

Prowadzą zajęcia dla studentów z zakresu wiedzy o zasobach i usługach biblioteki oraz organizują szkolenia m.in. z zakresu parametryzacji, open access i prawa autorskiego dla kadry naukowej. Biblioteki podejmują również inicjatywy mające zaspokajać potrzeby kulturalne. W artykule zaprezentowano działania Biblioteki Politechniki Opolskiej realizowane na rzecz i we współpracy z władzami i społecznością akademicką uczelni.
    The paper presents the areas of cooperation of the Main Library of Opole University of Technology with authorities, research workers and students of the university at the interface between didactic, scientific and service activities. The main tasks of the library focus on gathering, developing, sharing, scientific information as well as promotion and activities in the area called “third place”.

    The paper concerns the issue of student’s involvement in projects related to science-business cooperation, especially in the aspect of the development of their professional skills during academic training. The studies were the starting point for a reflection on students' interest in developing additional practical skills during their studies, and their knowledge of the essence of innovation and science-business cooperation. The issues concerning the role of students in science-business cooperation and the factors motivating and demotivating students to undertake such activity were also raised in the paper.
    Artykuł dotyczy kwestii zaangażowania studenta w projekty związane ze współpracą nauka-biznes, w szczególności w aspekcie rozwoju ich umiejętności zawodowych w trakcie kształcenia akademickiego. Badania były punktem wyjścia do refleksji na temat zainteresowania studentów w rozwijaniu dodatkowych umiejętności praktycznych w trakcie studiów oraz ich znajomości istoty innowacji i współpracy nauka-biznes. W artykule zostały również poruszone kwestie dotyczące roli studentów we współpracy nauka-biznes oraz czynniki motywujące i demotywujące ich do podjęcia takiej działalności.

    Enn Tarvel (1932–2021) is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most erudite Estonian historians. His expertise encompassed a wide range of historical topics, including medieval and early modern history, with a particular focus on the Polish rule in Livonia. This article provides insights into Tarvel’s educational background, his self-taught approach to research, and the challenges he faced during his career due to his reluctance to join the party. Despite his significant impact on Estonian scholarship, Tarvel’s international reach was somewhat limited due to the constraints of the Soviet academic system. Notably, Poland played a crucial role in his academic career. Tarvel’s first dissertation, later published as a book, focused on the management of Polish state manors and the peasantry in southern Estonia during the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. This research earned him recognition in Estonia and abroad, particularly in the Eastern Bloc. Tarvel was one of the first Estonian historians to submit his contributions to Polish historical journals. He published articles and other pieces in, for example, Kwartalnik Historyczny and Zapiski Historyczne. The vital role played by his Polish contacts for his academic development is emphasised not only by those articles but also by his research stays in Poland in 1959 and 1969 and his correspondence with Polish scholars in the 1960s and 1970s. Access to Polish archives and libraries facilitated his meticulous research. Tarvel also participated in numerous international conferences. However, he was not always able to attend them due to the constraints imposed by the Soviet regime.

    Prezentowany tekst analizuje umiędzynarodowienie polskiej kadry akademickiej z europejskiej perspektywy porównawczej i ilościowej, na podstawie rozległego materiału empirycznego, który obejmuje dane pierwotne pochodzące z dużej próby przedstawicieli kadry akademickiej 11 krajów Europy (Austrii, Finlandii, Niemiec, Irlandii, Włoch, Holandii, Norwegii, Polski, Portugalii, Szwajcarii i Wielkiej Brytanii). Nasze badania pokazują, że polska wspólnota akademicka jest dziś dość dobrze umiędzynarodowiona w obszarze dydaktyki i nieco gorzej w obszarze badań naukowych i publikacji. W tym drugim przypadku chodzi o grupę publikującą, której udział w całej kadrze jest niestety najmniejszy w 11 badanych krajach. Nie ma również istotnych różnic między Polską a porównywanymi krajami europejskimi w dziedzinie tych przekonań akademickich i (większości) działań akademickich, które bezpośrednio wiążą się z umiędzynarodowieniem. Polski system szkolnictwa wyższego jest mniej umiędzynarodowiony jedynie w kilku parametrach powiązanych z badaniami naukowymi i publikacjami, a same różnice nie są tak duże, jak można by przypuszczać. Polskie wzorce publikowania zagranicznego odpowiadają wzorcom europejskim – naukowcy z „twardych” obszarów nauki są bardziej umiędzynarodowieni niż ich koledzy z obszarów „miękkich” pod względem wszystkich najważniejszych parametrów związanych z publikowaniem i wzorzec ten nie różni się niczym od wzorców występujących w badanych krajach. Nasze badania pokazują też, że produktywność badawcza polskich naukowców (zgodnie z europejskimi wzorcami) jest silnie skorelowana z międzynarodową współpracą badawczą: średni wskaźnik produktywności badawczej dla polskich naukowców włączonych do współpracy międzynarodowej („umiędzynarodowionych”) jest wyższy niż ten sam wskaźnik dla naukowców nieprowadzących współpracy zagranicznej („lokalnych”) we wszystkich dziedzinach nauki (o 60-140%). Polscy naukowcy są średnio mniej umiędzynarodowieni pod względem badań niż wynosi średnia europejska, jednak wskaźnik produktywności badawczej polskich „umiędzynarodowionych” jest średnio dużo wyższy niż wskaźnik produktywności badawczej polskich „lokalnych”.
    The internationalization of the Polish academic profession is studied in a comparative quantitative European context. A micro-level (individual) approach which relies on primary data collected in a consistent, internationally comparable format is used (N = 17,211 cases). The individual academic is the unit of analysis, rather than a national higher education system or an individual institution. Our study shows that research productivity of Polish academics (following European patterns) is strongly correlated with international collaboration: the average productivity of Polish academics involved in international collaboration (“internationalists”) is consistently higher than the rate of Polish “locals” in all academic fields. Polish academics are less internationalized in research than the European average but the research productivity of Polish “internationalists” is much higher than the productivity of Polish “locals.” The impact of international collaboration on average productivity is much higher in Poland than in the European countries studied. In all countries and all clusters of academic fields studied, international collaboration in research is strongly correlated with substantially higher research productions. Internationalization increasingly plays as stratifying role, though: more international collaboration tends to mean higher publishing rates and those who do not collaborate internationally may be losing more than ever before in terms of resources and prestige in the process of “accumulative disadvantage.” The competition is becoming a permanent feature of European research landscape and local prestige combined with local publications may no longer suffice in the race for resources and academic recognition. Huge cross-disciplinary and cross-national differences apply but, in general terms, this study shows a powerful role of internationalization of research for both individual research productivity and the competitiveness of national research outputs. Cross-disciplinary and cross-country differences are discussed and policy implications are explored.

    Kształtowanie kompetencji miękkich studentów jest niezwykle ważne z uwagi na aktualną sytu-ację na rynku pracy. Komunikatywność i umiejętność współpracy w zespole są jednymi z najważniejszych umiejętności, na jakie pracodawcy zwracają uwagę podczas rekrutacji absolwentów szkół wyższych. Wiadomo przy tym, że osoby o różnych cechach osobowości w różny sposób współpracują w grupie i w różny sposób komunikują się w sytuacji niepowodzenia. Ponieważ badacze odnotowują wzrost narcyzmu wśród młodych osób, warto przyjrzeć się sposobowi, w jaki komunikują się ze sobąosoby o różnym poziomie tej cechy, w zależności od napotkanej sytuacji. W tym celu przeprowadzono badanie, w trakcie którego sprawdzono, czy osoby o wysokim i niskim poziomie narcyzmu różnią się sposobem formułowania komunikatów zwrotnych w trudnej sytuacji, w zależności od długości perspektywy współpracy z drugą osobą. Uzyskane rezultaty pozwalają na wyciągnięcie wniosku, że zmienna sytuacyjna może mieć większy wpływ na sposób formułowania takiej wypowiedzi niż cecha osobowościowa, jaką jest narcyzm
    Shaping students’ soft competences is unusually important due to the current situation on the labour market. Communication skills and the ability of cooperation in a team are one of the most important skills to which the employers pay attention during recruitment processes of higher education graduates. At the same time it is known that people with different personality features work differently in a group and they differently communicate in a failure situation. As the researchers notice the growth of narcissism? Among young people, it is worth checking how people, who have a different level of this feature, communicate, depending on a given situation. In order to do so a research was conducted, which checkedwhether people of a high and low narcissism level differ from one another in the way of formulating feedback in a difficult situation, depending on the length of cooperation perspective with another person.The achieved results allow to draw a conclusion that the situation variable may have bigger impact on theway of formulating such an utterance than the personality feature, namely narcissism.

    The domestic system of higher education is undergoing a path of renewal, aimed at the internationalization of higher education and cultural integration of teachers from different countries, improving the quality of higher education according to international educational standards. The integration of Ukraine’s higher education into the world educational space and the consequent development of international human capital exchange need to be modernized, including the system of academic mobility in the higher education system. Every year academic mobility programs expand the number of participants, both at the expense of domestic and foreign higher education institutions. Academic mobility is one of the most important aspects of integrating Ukrainian higher education institutions into the international educational space and a factor in the personal and professional development of teachers, as it puts him in the analysis and solution of life situations from their own and other cultures. At the same time, academic mobility is important for the personal and professional development of the teacher, as it puts him in the conditions of analysis and solution of life situations from the standpoint of their own and other cultures. This promotes the development of the ability to think in a comparative aspect; the ability to choose ways of interaction taking into account the peculiarities of another culture; readiness for intercultural communication; deepens knowledge of another culture. Participation of teachers in academic mobility programs gives them the opportunity to improve their skills, constantly develop professionally, get acquainted with teaching methods at universities abroad, develop personal and professional potential. In Ukraine, the academic mobility of research and teaching staff is regulated by legislation and includes a corresponding update of state legislation on higher education (Law of Ukraine «On Higher Education», Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine «Regulations on the exercise of the right to academic mobility»).
    Вітчизняна система вищої освіти проходить шлях оновлення, спрямованого на інтернаціоналізацію вищої освіти та культурну інтеграцію викладачів різних країн, підвищення якості вищої освіти за міжнародними освітніми стандартами. Інтеграція вищої освіти України у світовий освітній простір та подальший розвиток міжнародного обміну людським капіталом потребує модернізації, у тому числі системи академічної мобільності у системі вищої освіти. З кожним роком програми академічної мобільності розширюють кількість учасників, як за рахунок вітчизняних, так і закордонних вищих навчальних закладів. Академічна мобільність є одним із найважливіших аспектів інтеграції українських вищих навчальних закладів у міжнародний освітній простір та чинником особистісного та професійного розвитку викладача, оскільки ставить його до аналізу та вирішення життєвих ситуацій з власної та інших культур. Водночас академічна мобільність є важливою для особистісного та професійного розвитку педагога, оскільки ставить його в умови аналізу та вирішення життєвих ситуацій з позиції власної та інших культур. Це сприяє розвитку вміння мислити в порівняльному аспекті; вміння обирати способи взаємодії з урахуванням особливостей іншої культури; готовність до міжкультурної комунікації; поглиблює знання про іншу культуру. Участь викладачів у програмах академічної мобільності дає їм можливість підвищувати свою кваліфікацію, постійно розвиватися професійно, знайомитися з методикою викладання в університетах за кордоном, розвивати особистісний та професійний потенціал. В Україні академічна мобільність науково-педагогічних працівників регулюється законодавством і включає відповідне оновлення державного законодавства про вищу освіту (Закон України «Про вищу освіту», постанова Кабінету Міністрів України «Положення про здійснення право на академічну мобільність»).

    Opis:
    The article and its undertaken matter are part of the discussion on the pro-innovative nature of a university – featuring examples of (mainly educational) activities which boost innovation on the university campus and beyond, and referring to trends occurring in the analysed areas. The presented content has been limited to the social dimension of innovation, which among other things, changes the way of perceiving the world and interpersonal relations, also in terms of organization of workspaces and (co)working methods. The purpose of the article is also to draw attention to the participation of students, academic teachers in various activities (also pro-innovative ones) taking place within a non-traditional social infrastructure. Problem analysis was based on literature studies, including reports on research on innovation as well as on the author’s professional experience related to new spaces of education – and an attempt to answer the question: “Can cooperation within the described spaces strengthen pro-innovative attitudes, including the attitudes of future pedagogues?”
    Artykuł i podjęty w nim temat wpisują się w dyskusję dotyczącą proinnowacyjnego charakteru szkoły wyższej - podając przykłady działań (głównie edukacyjnych) na rzecz innowacji w kampusie uczelni i poza nim oraz odnosząc się do tendencji w analizowanych obszarach. W tekście ograniczono się do społecznego wymiaru innowacji, zmieniających m.in. sposób postrzegania świata i relacji międzyludzkich, dotyczących także organizacji miejsc i metod (współ)pracy. Celem artykułu jest również zwrócenie uwagi na udział studentów, nauczycieli akademickich w różnych aktywnościach (też proinnowacyjnych) nietradycyjnej infrastruktury społecznej. Analizując problemy, oparto się na studiach literatury, m.in. raportów z badań nad innowacyjnością jak i na doświadczeniach zawodowych autorki związanych z nowymi przestrzeniami edukacji, próbując także odpowiedzieć na pytanie: czy współdziałanie w ramach opisanych przestrzeni może wzmocnić postawy proinnowacyjne, także przyszłych pedagogów?

    У цій статті увага зосереджена на огляді багаторічного досвіду співпраці історичного факультету Харківського національного університету імені В.Н. Каразіна (далі – ХНУ) з університетами та науковими установами Польщі. Досвід історичного факультету ХНУ засвідчує, що успіх співробітництва між університетами України та Польщі полягає передовсім в тому, що були знайдені ефективні механізми взаємодії та плідні форми співпраці, а також були задіяні відповідальні і творчі виконавці проектів та організатори заходів. Також зазначимо, що хоча тематичний спектр досліджень є досить широкий, тим не менш помітною є орієнтація на спільні проекти з культурної історії, яка апріорі не може бути конфронтаційною.

    Opis:
    The goal of the article is to present an applied research project which sets an example of best practice in international academic cooperation for building an evidence-based prevention system in Western Ukraine. As a neighboring country, Poland is open to sharing its experience and achievements in attaining effective systematic solutions regarding alcohol and drug issues, which is of interest to Ukraine and is confirmed by the execution of the presented project, realized in cooperation with the academic staff of the Drohobych Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University. The aim of the project is to develop a conceptual and educational module for courses preparing students for prevention work with children and the youth. The project was implemented by a team from the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz, which has over twenty years of experience in preparing social educators for the implementation of preventive tasks. The article contains the empirical foundation, the need for the fulfillment of the project, the descriptions of its goals, subject, method of action and implementation stages. It discusses the difficulties encountered at the design and implementation stages, and the final results.
    Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie projektu badań stosowanych, będącego przykładem dobrej praktyki w zakresie międzynarodowej współpracy akademickiej na rzecz budowania systemu profilaktyki opartej na dowodach naukowych w zachodniej Ukrainie. Polska jako kraj sąsiadujący jest otwarta na dzielenie się doświadczeniami i osiągnięciami w wypracowywaniu skutecznych, systemowych rozwiązań dotyczących problemów alkoholowych i narkotykowych, którymi zainteresowana jest Ukraina. Potwierdzeniem tego jest prezentowany projekt, realizowany we współpracy z kadrą akademicką z Państwowego Uniwersytetu Pedagogicznego im. Iwana Franki w Drohobyczu. Jego celem jest opracowanie koncepcji i modułu kształcenia dla kierunków studiów przygotowujących studentów do pracy profilaktycznej z dziećmi i młodzieżą. Realizatorem projektu jest zespół z Uniwersytetu Kazimierza Wielkiego w Bydgoszczy, który ma ponad dwudziestoletnie doświadczenie w przygotowywaniu pedagogów społecznych do realizacji zadań profilaktycznych. Artykuł zawiera empiryczne uzasadnienie potrzeby realizacji projektu oraz opisy jego celów szczegółowych, przedmiotu, metody działania i charakterystykę kolejnych etapów. Omówiono w nim trudności napotkane na etapie projektowania i realizacji oraz efekt końcowy.

    Artykuł podejmuje tematykę udziału bibliotekarzy w różnego typu stażach i warsztatach organizowanych w ramach unijnego programu Erasmus, którego poszczególne edycje omówiono w skrócie. Skupiono się przede wszystkim na roli najnowszej edycji Erasmus+ w podnoszeniu i poszerzaniu kwalifikacji zawodowych bibliotekarzy. W celu udokumentowania i zobrazowania przydatności tej formy edukacji przeprowadzono wśród pracowników bibliotek najważniejszych uczelni krakowskich ankietę, będącą podstawą do analizy tego rodzaju przedsięwzięć pod kątem ich wpływu na osobowość pracowników oraz ich rozwój zawodowy, mający przełożenie na działania podejmowane w miejscach pracy.
    This article describes the contributions of librarians to the various types of traineeships and workshops organized by the EU Erasmus programme. It focuses mainly on the role of the latest edition of Erasmus in raising and expanding the professional qualifications of librarians. A survey was conducted among academic librarians of universities in Krakow, which aimed to show the impact of the programme on the improvement of the professional qualifications of librarians.

    On 27 May 2019, we bid farewell to Józef Poklewski, a trusted Colleague and Friend, professor at the Nicolaus Copernicus University (UMK) in Toruń. Born in Kowalewo in the Vilnius Region, following WWII, orphaned by his father Władysław, he moved to Giżycko with his mother Emilia, with whom he felt a strong bond until the very last days. This was his individual feature: the long-lasting character of and reliability in relationships. Following the studies in history of art at the University of Poznań, he became assistant lecturer at UMK, with which he was bonded throughout all of his academic and scientific career. He remained strongly influenced by his teacher and mentor Gwidon Chmarzyński, professor at both universities. In his research Poklewski initially concentrated on Baroque art (doctoral dissertation on the Marian Jesuit Sanctuary at Święta Lipka), gradually more intensely focusing on the topic of the history of art and artistic life, as well as education in art, history of art, and conservation in Vilnius (post-doctoral dissertation) and in Toruń. An appreciated and dedicated lecturer, at UMK Józef Poklewski performed the function of the head of the Department of the History of Mediaeval and Modern Art, and of the Director of the Institute of Monument and Conservation Expertise; furthermore, he was the University’s Senate member. Actively participating in the scientific life, he was tutor of graduate theses, as well as of doctoral dissertations, reviewing also post-doctoral ones; moreover, he organized scientific conferences. Poklewski strongly committed himself to the activities of the Toruń Scientific Society and the Association of Art Historians (beginning from the Secretary, to the President of the Toruń Branch, member of the Main Board, finally becoming its Deputy President). Furthermore, he sat on Museum Boards: at the National Museum in Gdańsk, District Museum in Toruń, and the Leon Wyczółkowski District Museum in Bydgoszcz. Prof. Józef Poklewski died in Toruń, and was buried there, too.
    27 maja 2019 r. pożegnaliśmy Józefa Poklewskiego, wypróbowanego Kolegę i Przyjaciela, profesora Uniwersytetu Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu. Urodził się w Kowalewie na Wileńszczyźnie. Po II wojnie światowej, osierocony przez ojca Władysława, przeniósł się do Giżycka wraz z matką Emilią, z którą był do końca silnie związany. To była cecha Jego charakteru – trwałość związków, niezawodność w relacjach. Po studiach w zakresie historii sztuki na Uniwersytecie w Poznaniu objął asystenturę na Uniwersytecie Mikołaja Kopernika, z którym był związany przez całą swą karierę akademicką i naukową. Pozostawał pod wielkim wpływem swojego nauczyciela i mentora, Gwidona Chmarzyńskiego, profesora na obydwu tych uczelniach. Początkowo w swych badaniach koncentrował się na sztuce barokowej (dysertacja doktorska o jezuickim sanktuarium maryjnym w Świętej Lipce), stopniowo coraz intensywniej zajmował się tematyką dziejów sztuki i życia artystycznego oraz edukacji w zakresie sztuki, historii sztuki i konserwatorstwa w Wilnie (rozprawa habilitacyjna) oraz w Toruniu. Józef Poklewski był cenionym i oddanym wykładowcą, pełnił na UMK funkcje kierownika Zakładu Historii Sztuki Średniowiecznej i Nowożytnej oraz dyrektora Instytutu Zabytkoznawstwa i Konserwatorstwa, zasiadał także w senacie uczelni. Aktywnie uczestniczył w życiu naukowym – jako promotor prac magisterskich i doktorskich, recenzent takich prac oraz rozpraw habilitacyjnych, organizator sesji naukowych. Był szczególnie zaangażowanym członkiem Toruńskiego Towarzystwa Naukowego oraz Stowarzyszenia Historyków Sztuki (od funkcji sekretarza, następnie prezesa Oddziału Toruńskiego, członka Zarządu Głównego i wreszcie wiceprezesa). Był członkiem Rad Muzealnych przy Muzeum Narodowym w Gdańsku, Muzeum Okręgowym w Toruniu i Muzeum Okręgowym im. Leona Wyczółkowskiego w Bydgoszczy. Profesor Józef Poklewski zmarł i został pochowany w Toruniu.

    Artykuł dotyczy zagadnienia współpracy szkół wyższych z otoczeniem w Polsce. Problem ten, w kontekście zmian zachodzących w systemach zarządzania szkolnictwem wyższym, wydaje się być obecnie kluczowy. Celem rozważań jest zaprezentowanie wybranych aspektów komercjalizacji wyników badań naukowych, wsparcia przedsiębiorczości akademickiej oraz prowadzenia działalności gospodarczej przez szkoły wyższe w Polsce. Dla jego realizacji przeprowadzono analizę aktów prawnych, krajowej i zagranicznej literatury przedmiotu oraz analizę typu desk research dotyczącą przychodów szkół wyższych z działalności gospodarczej w latach 2006-2013. W artykule przedstawiono koncepcję trzeciej misji uczelni jako pogląd odzwierciedlający rosnące znaczenie współpracy z otoczeniem w działalności szkół wyższych. Omówiono możliwości i uwarunkowania prowadzenia przez szkoły wyższe działalności gospodarczej, w szczególności w formie akademickich inkubatorów przedsiębiorczości oraz centrów transferu technologii. W świetle przeprowadzonej analizy desk research rysuje się obraz zwiększającej się aktywności szkół wyższych, co można odczytać jako zwiastun pozytywnych tendencji w badanym obszarze.
    The article concerns the issue of cooperation between high schools with their environment in Poland. This problem, in the context of changes occurring in the systems of higher education management, seems to be key at present. An aim of considerations is to present the selected aspects of commercialisation of scientific research findings, support for academic enterprise, and carrying out economic activity by high schools in Poland. For its implementation there was carried out a review of legal acts, Polish and foreign literature of the subject as well as an analysis of the desk research type concerning revenues of high schools from their economic activity in 2006-2013. In her article, the author presented the concept of the third mission of the high school as an opinion reflecting the growing importance of cooperation with the environment in high schools’ activities. She presented the opportunities and conditions for carrying out economic activity by high schools, particularly in the form of academic enterprise incubators and technology transfer centres. In the light of carried out analysis of the desk research type, there is emerging the picture of increasing activity of high schools, what can be seen as a symptom of positive trends in the area in question.
    Статья касается вопроса сотрудничества вузов с окруюжающей их средой в Польше. Эта проблема, в контексте изменений, происходящих в системах управления вузами, в настоящее время кажется основной. Цель рассуждений – представить избранные аспекты коммерциализации результатов научных исследований, поддержки для академического предпринимательства и осуществления экономической деятельности вузами в Польше. Для ее выполнения провели анализ юридических актов, национальной и зарубежной литературы по предмету и анализ типа desk research, касающийся доходов вузов от эконо-мической деятельности в 2006-2013 гг. В статье представили концепцию третьей миссии вуза как мнение, отражающее растущее значение сотрудничества со средой в деятельности вузов. Обсудили возможности и обусловленности осуществления вузами экономической деятельности, в особенности в форме академических инкубаторов предпринимательства и центров трансферта технологии. В свете проведенного анализа desk research вырисовывается картина растущей активности вузов, что можно счесть симптомом положительных тенденций в изучаемой области.
