In the modern world, transport as an integral part of social life is important. The development of all modes of transport requires continuous efficient management of the transport process, as well as the use of tools to optimise this process. This article aims to analyse international road cargo transport in EU countries and Poland from 2008-2018. The first part of this article analyses the number of employees and the trade of transport companies in EU countries. Then, the share of individual modes of transport in the transport of cargo in Poland from 2008 and 2018 is presented. The next section presents the results of the forecast of the volume of cargo transported by road in Poland from 2019-2021. The forecast values of the volume of cargo transport in Poland for 2019-2021, which were determined from the additive and multiplicative model, are at a similar level to the values for 2008-2018.

Will be considered transport company exploiting the uniform in the sense of destination, means of transport such as tankers, with a total transport potential equal to a loading units (e.g. tones). The company operates in the transport market, where demand for transport services is random. Formulate the problem of satisfying the transport demand in full by transport company and shall be given the formulas to calculating the probability of such an event with the general assumptions about the demand for transport services. Practically useful formulas for estimating such a probability is given for the demand for transport services the described by normal stationary stochastic process. The results are illustrated by an example of the calculation.

Passenger transport companies increasingly aim to implement passenger transport services of improved efficiency and effectiveness by raising the comfort of travel and ensuring passenger satisfaction by increasing quality of their service. The comfort of the journey is seen as security, punctuality, efficiency and friendly passenger service. The analysis and evaluation of the quality of passenger transport services allow to specify the time of travel, comfort, punctuality, availability of public transport links and the costs of transport services provided. The passenger streams and assessment of the urban transport services quality covered by this study allow for indication of problems in the researched area and suggestion of improvements in the transport services. The development of urban transport is subject to the increasing number of population, expansion of cities and constant technical progress. Expansion of cities and large number of citizens are closely linked to the urban transport allowing for the citizens’ mobility by various means of public transport. Carriage operations are repeatedly grouped according to travel direction, scale of demand for transport, the scope and length of the carriage, stability of transport needs or required transport speed.

Na podstawie badań ankietowych scharakteryzowano małe przedsiębiorstwo transportu drogowego. Pytania ankietowe dotyczyły doświadczeń zawodowych kierowców i wiedzy na temat uszkodzeń ładunków. Uzyskana wiedza dotyczyła zjawisk zachodzących w przedsiębiorstwie. W podsumowaniu przedstawiono możliwości zapobiegania uszkodzeniom przewożonych ładunków.
A survey of the small road transport company has been characterized. The survey questions concerned the professional experience of drivers and the knowledge of cargo damage. The acquired knowledge concerned the phenomena taking place in the enterprise. The summary shows the possibilities of preventing damage to the transported goods.

Celem artykułu jest określenie przy jakim stopniu wydatków i przychodów zakup środków transportu drogowego staje się efektywny oraz pokazanie tego zjawiska na przykładzie małego przedsiębiorstwa działającego w branży Transport-Spedycja-Logistyka (TSL). Do przeprowadzenia badań wykorzystano szereg metod badawczych, m.in. analizę literatury naukowej, obserwację, wywiad, analizę dokumentów oraz metody matematyczne. Na podstawie analiz wysnuto wniosek, iż w przypadku niewielkich przedsiębiorstw działających w ramach sektora usług spedycyjno-transportowych bardziej opłacalną formą finansowania zakupu nowych środków transportu jest leasing.
The aim of the article is to define the levels of income and outcome that make the purchase of means of road transport effective and to show this on the example of a small enterprise operating in the TSL sector. Analysis of scientific literature, observation, interview, analysis of documents and mathematical methods were the methods used to carry out the research. The analysis lead to the conclusion that for small businesses of the TSL sector leasing is more profitable form of financing the purchase of rolling stock.

Paper discussed the problems of lack professional drivers and the impact of mentioned aspect on transport sector and economy. The reason of lack drivers and transport condition is the key functioning area of Poland Republic, European Union and Europe were stressed. Furthermore the statistics data referring employed number of personnel in transport and dimensions of persons and goods carried as well as rules of employing foreigners.

In the paper, we characterize tourism clusters and the process of developing integrated tourism product. In particular, we discuss the place and role of transportation services in the context of such products. Moreover, we investigate the scale of the problem by identifying tourism clusters in Poland and examining their structures. We discuss practical, organizational aspects of transporting people in tourism clusters by external operators and the ones belonging to the cluster. Finally, we show the potential benefits and threats from the perspective of operators wanting to join a tourism cluster.

Development of transport much closer to each other markets, thus affecting economic growth. The aim of the article was an attempt to investigate the level of customer satisfaction with the services offered by the medium-sized transport company. The article discusses the types of transport processes and transport as a branch of the national economy. The second part presents the process of customer service along with the most important elements of logistic service. The analysis included customer service offered by the medium-sized transport company located in Middle Pomerania. The methods used in the study is an analysis of the literature, case studies and diagnostic survey in the form of a questionnaire. The results showed that the level of customer service is determinant of the success of transport companies.
Rozwój transportu znacznie zbliża do siebie rynki, wpływając w ten sposób na wzrost gospodarczy. Celem artykułu była próba zbadania poziomu zadowolenia klientów z usług oferowanych przez średnie przedsiębiorstwo transportowe. W artykule omówiono rodzaje procesów transportowych i transport jako gałąź gospodarki narodowej. W drugiej części przedstawiono proces obsługi klienta wraz z najważniejszymi elementami obsługi logistycznej. Analizą objęto obsługę klienta oferowaną przez średnie przedsiębiorstwo transportowe znajdujące się na Pomorzu Środkowym. Metody zastosowane w opracowaniu to: analiza literatury, studium przypadku i sondaż diagnostyczny w formie kwestionariusza ankiety. W wyniku przeprowadzonych badań stwierdzono, że poziom obsługi klienta jest determinantą sukcesu przedsiębiorstw transportowych.

W artykule dokonano analizy kosztów wewnętrznych działalności firmy zajmującej się transportem towarów na terenie Unii Europejskiej. Dokonano krótkiej charakterystyki firmy oraz porównano udział procentowy kosztów układu rodzajowego oraz kosztów ogólnych. Analizę porównawczą przeprowadzono dla sześcioletniego okresu działalności firmy. Do analizy kosztów przyjęto dane pochodzące z okresu 2012-2017r.
The article analyzes the costs of a company dealing in the transport of goods within the European Union. A short description of the company was made and the percentage share of costs of the generic system and general costs was compared. A comparative analysis was conducted for the six-year period of the company's activity. Data from the period 2012-2017 were adopted for the analysis of costs.

W artykule opisano jak duże znaczenie ma wdrożenie do przedsiębiorstwa z branży transportowej innowacyjnego projektu. Obecnie wszystkie organizacje, które chcą uzyskać przewagę konkurencyjną muszą realizować nowatorskie przedsięwzięcia, które pozwolą im utrzymać istotny udział w rynku. Nieustanny rozwój technologii, rosnące oczekiwania konsumentów oraz postępująca globalizacja powodują, że proces zarządzania flotą staje się wyzwaniem dla wielu organizacji. Okazuje się bowiem, że samo pozyskanie intratnych zleceń nie zapewni przedsiębiorstwom gwarancji zachowania dużego udziału w rynku na długie lata. Niezwykle ważne jest właściwe dbanie o posiadane zasoby i odpowiednie nimi zarządzanie. W badanym przedsiębiorstwie za innowacyjny projekt uznano wdrożenie rozwiązania telematycznego. Zarząd organizacji zdecydował się na opracowanie i zaimplementowanie systemu zarządzania flotą pojazdów. Uzyskane w trakcie badania wyniki jednoznacznie wskazały, że w tej firmie zaimplementowanie innowacyjnego rozwiązania przyniosło zdecydowane korzyści. W trakcie wdrażania projektu pojawiły się również pewne bariery, które jednak nie okazały się być istotne i znacząco nie wpłynęły na powodzenie przedsięwzięcia.
The article describes the importance of the implementation of an innovative project for the transport company. Today, all organizations that want to gain a competitive advantage need to realize innovative projects that will allow them to maintain a significant market share. Continuous development of technology, increasing expectations of consumers and advanced globalization cause the process of fleet management is a challenge for many organizations. It turns out that the acquisition of orders does not provide guarantees to companies maintain a large market share for years to come. Extremely important it is to take care of their resources and appropriate management of them. In the analyzed company innovative project was the implementation of telematics solutions. The organization's management has decided to develop and implement a system of fleet management. The results clearly showed that the company implement innovative solutions brought significant benefits. During the project implementation there were also some barriers, but have not proved to be relevant and does not significantly affect the success of the project.

Running business activity in the field of transport requires managing people to coordinate many factors at the same time. The most important factor for the functioning of an enterprise is the planning of execution of transport orders, which is an inherent element of effective management of a fleet of vehicles. The management of logistics and transport is a field of science derived from economic practice, therefore, real events occurring in an enterprise providing transport services at the national and international level were examined. Research and analysis of transport processes were conducted in an enterprise from the TSL sector functioning in the European Union in the aspect of efficient use of a fleet of vehicles.

This paper presents the elements of the safety management system according to standards series PN-N 18000. Hazards identification was made on the example of a small bus company. The basic steps are the company's employees and for-threatening occurring in implementation thereof.Examples of ways to reduce or avoid risks were proposed.
