Aim/purpose – The aim of the paper is to review the routine aspect in strategizing process exposing strategizing routines. Consequently, the main aim is to enhance understanding of the commonness, meanings and dissemination of the concept and idea of the routine in strategizing process. Design/methodology/approach – Narrative, thematic literature review method is adopted, representing a qualitative methodology as appropriate because it is useful in pulling routine research and strategizing research together into general format. It helps in presenting two perspectives embraced in this paper by discussing theory and context to provoke thought and even a controversy. Findings – The conclusions drawn from the presented review explicate the importance of routine in strategy process as well as routine as practice and its associations with workers in strategy. Research implications/limitations – The research shed light on specific aspects of strategizing routines. The main value added of our paper is that it draws from the extant literature to provide with a comprehensively updated picture of how strategy-as-practice and routine theory can serve, as a useful research approach, to the studies about strategic choice. The presumable limitation is due to methodology adopted. Originality/value/contribution – The paper exploits two important management approaches in order to explicate organizational behavior, especially strategy process and strategizing, by investigating organizational routines. Thus, routine appears an adequate natural fundament since routines grasp systematic and endogenous character of the organization. Therefore, the concept of organizational routines is one to consider in the strategy research, to indicate the role that routines have in the process of strategizing in specific.

Electronic equipment used in transport operates under various conditions. Due to characteristic nature of their application, they should be highly reliable. This paper presents a methodology of optimising a bistable operation process of those systems factoring in economic factors, i.e. the funding allocated to routine inspections. Its practical application was also discussed, which would entail computer aided maintenance software.

The aim of this article is to draw the teacher’s attention to the importance of the text-based, non-routine problem-solving tasks presented in some early-school mathematics textbooks. Non-routine math text exercises are deliberately of the wrong-wording and misleading-task type. The purpose of this is to engage and develop the student’s logical thinking and also problem solving skills, as they will have to analyze every aspect of its structure and apply the right correction in order to solve it. Unfortunately, today not every textbook offers an insight into or examples of non-routine tasks. Sadly, in some textbooks series these non-routine math text exercises are completely absent, meaning that very often only a limited number of students will ever come across them during their education years.
Celem artykułu jest zwrócenie uwagi nauczycieli na zadania tekstowe niestandardowe w początkowej edukacji matematycznej. Zadania tekstowe niestandardowe to zadania, które celowo zostały źle sformułowane. Stawiają one uczniów w sytuacjach problemowych, uświadamiają im, że aby rozwiązać zadanie tekstowe, należy uważnie przeanalizować je w aspekcie wszystkich elementów struktury i dokonać właściwej jego korekty. Rozwijają więc logiczne myślenie uczniów. Nie wszystkie współczesne podręczniki do nauczania matematyki sygnalizują zadania niestandardowe. Jeżeli nauczyciel wykorzystuje w pracy z uczniami jedynie zadania tekstowe z podręcznika, tylko niewielka grupa uczniów ma kontakt z tego typu zadaniami.

Politeness has many faces and definitions. When people respect and use the politeness formulas which were adopted in their culture then this could be interpreted as a guarantee of a certain social order and hierarchy. To cease following the valid standards could possibly result in emotional reactions especially when it comes to environments where the power order matters more than elsewhere, which would include the academic communities in Poland. The main aim of the article is to answer the question whether the analysis of politeness manifestations in the university e-mail correspondence could perchance trigger emotions by the group of students, who were investigating the problem.

The article deals with commonly used (in typical communicative situations) conventionalized linguistic forms containing in their lexical structure elements, referring to widely understood Christian traditions. The research material includes conversational formulas in Polish extracted from the Polish-German phrasebooks. The study has a diachronic character. On the basis of the analyses carried out, it is possible to trace changes in the area of language use in the abovementioned scope, which have taken place from the 16th century to the present day.

The article attempts to define social work as a social practice, using the sociological understanding of practices as (1) habit and (2) disposition to register what is new. Such a theoretical perspective helped to reveal the causes of failure in implementing appropriate and effective assistance for parents with disabilities as a result of interference of several connected factors. Three such factors are discussed: institutionalization of helplessness in social assistance, relying on the stereotype of a disabled person (which corresponds to the medical model) and organizational ignorance. Finally, the necessity of introducing ground breaking innovations axiologically based on tolerance as an expression of social concern is emphasized.

The paper deals with German pragmatic phrasemes, i.e. routine and conversational formulas, used in parliamentary speeches as “texts of public debate” (Klein 2009:2115). The aim of the article is to investigate what formulas are typical of parliamentary speeches and what function they perform. Thus, the article aims to provide an insight into linguistic formulaicity manifested in this text type. The empirical basis consists of 40 parliamentary speeches made by MPs in German Bundestag. The qualitative analysis of the research material was performed using MAXQDA software.

Opis:
Urban crime is differentiated among space and time. Recognition of temporal patterns of urban crime will help us for better understanding crime phenomenon in the city. The routine activity theory is the most widespread methodological framework of its empirical research. Tempo, rhythm, and timing of the routine activities are crucial for understanding temporal crime patterns. It is proved that the particular seven types of crime (Fights and battery, Robbery, Drug crimes, Residential crimes, Commercial crimes, Car crimes, Theft of property) have different temporal pattern in: long-run, seasonal, monthly, weekly, and daily patterns of urban crimes, taking the city of Gdynia in the years 2004-2014 as an example.

Linguistic routines are characteristic for human communication. They give the communication partners a certain security. This allows the producer to take the time to structure the content of the following in an appropriate way. They belong to certain rituals: the recipient has the opportunity to adopt a certain attitude towards what is expected before making a statement. The paper starts from a case that is not that frequently used in contemporary German, but salient, namely „Ehrlich gesagt, ... “, and examines the functions of routine formulas in emotional language / in emotional speaking and also which changes they are subject to.

W większości doniesień medialnych dotyczących wypadków drogowych najczęstszą przyczynę tych zdarzeń komentuje się stwierdzeniem „kierowcę zgubiła rutyna”. Rzadko kiedy pada wyjaśnienie, co kryje się pod tym hasłem. Tymczasem w psychologicznym ujęciu pojęcie czynności rutynowych nie jest do końca tożsame z potocznym rozumieniem. Mimo to naukowcy także zauważają, że zachowania rutynowe mogą niekiedy być katastrofalne w skutkach. W niniejszym artykule postaram się udzielić odpowiedzi na pytanie czym jest „rutyna” jako czynnik, który może doprowadzić do wypadku oraz jak zapobiegać jej ewentualnemu wpływowi na popełnianie błędów na drodze. Aby tego dokonać należy przyjrzeć się, jakiego rodzaju procesy zaangażowane są w prowadzenie pojazdu i w jaki sposób nabywamy umiejętności lub/i podlegamy zniekształceniom wynikającym z ich działania.
In the majority of media reports regarding traffic accidents the most common the cause of these events commented by saying "the driver got lost by routine." Rarely it rains explain what is meant by this slogan. Meanwhile, in psychological terms, the concept of routines is not entirely identical with the current understanding. Despite this, the researchers also note that the behavior of the routine can sometimes be catastrophic. In this article I will try to answer the question what is "routine" as a factor that can cause an accident and how to prevent its eventual influential to make mistakes on roads. To do this, it was necessary to see what kind of processes are involved in practice of driving and how people acquire this skills and also how we get distortion as the result of their actions.

W artykule zaprezentowano możliwości jakie daje wykorzystanie programu STATISTICA Data Miner firmy StatSoft w przeprowadzaniu analizy dużych zbiorów danych na przykładzie eksploracji danych gromadzonych w czasie kontroli okresowej pojazdów. Otrzymane wyniki pozwoliły na dokonanie ogólnej charakterystyki kontrolowanych pojazdów. Dokonano klasyfikacji pojazdów pod kątem popularności marek, modeli, oraz ich usterkowości.
The article presents potential of using the STATISTICA Data Miner application from StatSoft to carry out analyses of large data sets on the example of exploring data being acquired during routine inspection of vehicles. Obtained results allowed to make general characteristic of inspected vehicles. The vehicles were classified according to popularity of makes, models, and their defect rates.

Pragmatic set phrases (pragmatic phrasemes) are also called communicative routine formulas. They have been given particular attention by research in the field of conversational analysis and foreign language teaching, but they are also a research subject in phraseology, though on the periphery of the discipline. Pragmatic set phrases are mainly used in oral communication, but they also appear quite often in newspaper texts, where there is a preference for certain classes of set phrases. This paper deals with problems in the classification of pragmatic set phrases which appear in commentary texts of different types of German newspapers. The material for the investigation is taken from the recently compiled Helsinki Commentary Corpus.

The paper proposes a modifi ed version of BVSR model of research process. At the level of individual heuristics-driven variation it uses beta (IBP) and Dirichlet (CRP) random clustering processes. At the SR level it elaborates two main research strategies based on team reasoning principles: inventive and explorative strategies. They are differentiated by the phase of “heuristics routinizer”.
Artykuł wprowadza model procesu badawczego jako modyfi kację BVSR. na poziomie zmienności jednostkowej proponuje process beta (IBP) oraz Dirichlet (CRP) jako losowe procesy klastrowania. Na poziomie SR opracowuje dwie zasadnicze strategie badawcze, oparte na zasadach myślenia zbiorowego: strategie przełomową oraz odkrywczą. Są one różnicowane przez fazę określaną jako „rutynizacja heurystyki”.

The paper discusses the intrinsic potential offered by classroom interaction for language development. The first part examines several theoretical aspects and characteristics of classroom communication. The second part presents the results of a study which investigates different aspects of classroom interaction in foreign language teaching and the strategies used to encourage classroom communication in the target language. The study, which combines quantitative and qualitative research methods, is based on a survey of Slovene teachers teaching English in primary school. Results suggest that while the respondents are well aware of the benefits of using English in classroom communication, they generally use it in an arbitrary and unsystematic fashion. We would like to argue that we can contribute to the effectiveness of the teaching process by approaching classroom communication with a systematic and consistent format.

W artykule przeprowadzono analizę struktury obrabiarek w aspekcie diagnozowania ich stanu. Zaproponowano wielkości charakterystyczne jako symptomy stanu obrabiarek. Przedstawiono także podstawy badania dokładności obrabiarek w oparciu o ocenę rezultatów obróbki przedmiotów próbnych. Wykazano, że wyniki badań dokładności obrabiarek można wykorzystać do opracowania prognozy dotyczącej ich stanu. Umożliwia to przedstawiona w artykule procedura wykorzystująca rezultaty cyklu badań dokładności obrabiarki.
In this paper analysis of machine-tools in the diagnostics aspects was conducted. Some characteristic quantities as symptom of their state, were proposed. One introduced also basic of accuracy tests of machine toools on the ground of estimation of results of tentative object machining. It was demonstrated that results of cycle of machine tools accuracy tests one can use to work out of forecast of considering machine tools' state. Presented in this paper procedure, in which one used results of cycle of accuracy tests, makes it possible
