The article presents the support system of quality management in the enterprise. It shows the essence of the functioning of the spin-off and describes one of the companies, which was founded at the Gdańsk University of Technology. In our case study highlights the areas of support to achieve and evaluate compliance with the norms and standards.
W artykule przedstawiono system wspomagania zarządzania jakością w przedsiębiorstwie. Ukazano istotę funkcjonowania spółek spin-off oraz opisano jedną ze spółek, która została założona na Politechnice Gdańskiej. W zaprezentowanym studium przypadku zwrócono uwagę na obszary wspomagania osiągania i oceny zgodności z normami i standardami.

Artykuł omawia podstawowe przejawy zachowań organizacyjnych w firmach stosujących systemy zarządzania jakością według norm ISO oraz koncepcję zarządzania przez jakość. Autor uznaje, że wdrażanie i utrzymywanie systemów zarządzania jakością wpływa na określone zachowania pracowników (głównie pełnomocników ds. systemów zarządzania jakością i audytorów). W opracowaniu przestawiono aktualną praktykę zarządzania jakością (stosowanie znormalizowanych systemów zarządzania jakością, wykorzystanie narzędzi, technik i metod zarządzania jakością, implementacja kryteriów zawartych w modelach doskonałości). Omówiono zachowania: obywatelskie i kliencie, egoistyczne i kooperacyjne, etyczne i nieetyczne, elastyczne i sformalizowane, przywódcze – pozytywne i negatywne. Charakteryzując źródła różnych zachowań, wybrano najważniejsze ich przyczyny: postawy audytorów zewnętrznych, zróżnicowane motywy wdrażania systemów, zaangażowanie kierownictwa, istniejące procedury współpracy w łańcuchu dostaw. Zwrócono uwagę na ograniczenia prezentowanych treści i sformułowano zalecenia praktyczne dla organizacji stosujących różne systemy i koncepcje zarządzania jakością.
The article discusses the basic aspects of organizational behaviour in companies using quality management systems in accordance with the ISO standards and applying the Total Quality Management concept. The author claims that the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems influences the particular forms of employees’ behaviour, andquality management system representatives and auditors in particular. The article presents the current practice of quality management, i.e. the use of standardized quality management systems; the application of quality management system instrumentation, techniques and methods; the implementation of criteria included in excellence models. The following types of behaviour are discussed: civic and client, egoistic and cooperative, ethical and unethical, flexible and formalized, positive and negative with respect to leadership. Describing the sources of various types of behaviour, the author presents their most significant causes: attitudes of external auditors, diversified motives for the implementation of quality systems, the top management’s involvement, and the existing cooperation procedures within the supply chain. The author focuses also on limitations concerning the discussed issues and formulates practical recommendations for organizations using various quality management systems and concepts.

The paper is aimed at presenting a model of transition from quality management systems to knowledge management systems in software developing organizations. The methodology focuses on presenting components of the model of transition from quality management systems to knowledge management systems. The paper defines the model of transition from the quality management systems conformable with series 9000 ISO international standards supplemented with ISO/IEC 90003:2004 to knowledge management systems. The model consists of four processes and five elements treated as the results of the process implementation. The paper demonstrates how quality system elements can be useful in the implementation of knowledge management system processes, such as localisation and the acquisition of knowledge.

Opis:
The effective implementation of new market strategies presents the mining enterprises with new challenges which require precise assessment instruments of the carried out business to be met at the level of mines, preparation plants, coking plants, and steelworks. These instruments include deposit, technological, and economic parameters, which together with a safety margin, determining the percentage reserve level of each parameter, shape the profitability of undertaken projects. The paper raises the issue of designing an IT architecture of the system for deposit modelling and mining production scheduling, implemented in the JSW SA. The development and application of the system was important with regard to the overriding objective of the Quality ProgramProgram of the JSW Capital Group, which is increasing the effectiveness of deposit and commercial product quality management. The paper also presents the required specification of the technical architecture necessary to implement systems and the actions required to integrate them with other IT systems of the JSW Group. The heuristic technical architecture of the JSW SA production line management system presented in the paper enables an analysis of the production process profitability in a carried account system in the area of mines, preparation plants, and coking plants of the mining group of the biggest European coal producer for metallurgical purposes.
Skuteczna realizacja nowych strategii rynkowych stawia przed przedsiębiorstwami wydobywczymi nowe wyzwania, których realizacja wymaga precyzyjnych instrumentów oceny prowadzonej działalności na szczeblu kopalń, zakładów przeróbczych, koksowni, jak i hut. Instrumentami tymi są parametry złożowe, technologiczne i ekonomiczne, które wraz z marginesami bezpieczeństwa określającymi procentowy poziom rezerw każdego z parametrów kształtują rentowność podejmowanych przedsięwzięć. W artykule poruszono tematykę projektowania informatycznej architektury systemu do modelowania złoża oraz harmonogramowania produkcji górniczej, wdrożonego w JSW SA. Opracowanie i zastosowanie systemu było istotne z pespektywy realizacji nadrzędnego celu Programu Jakość Grupy Kapitałowej JSW, czyli zwiększenia efektywności zarządzania jakością złoża i produktu handlowego. Następnie w artykule przedstawiono opracowaną wymaganą specyfikację architektury technicznej, niezbędnej dla wdrożenia systemów oraz wymagane działania niezbędne do integracji z innymi systemami IT Grupy JSW. Prezentowana w artykule heurystyczna architektura techniczna systemu zarządzania ciągiem produkcyjnym JSW SA pozwala analizować rentowność procesu produkcyjnego w układzie rachunku ciągnionego w obszarze kopalń, zakładów przeróbczych i koksowni grupy górniczej największego europejskiego producenta węgla do celów metalurgicznych. Sytuacja rynku surowcowego staje się problematyczna dla przedsiębiorców, którzy muszą w sposób elastyczny dopasowywać swoje firmy do zmiennych warunków rynkowych, aby utrzymać tzw. biznesowość swoich projektów górniczych.

The paper deals with the implementation of the JSW Capital Group’s (Poland) Demand and Quality Driven Production Management System (SPPJ – System Zarządzania Produkcją oparty na Popycie i Jakości) using a service-oriented architecture (SOA). The main components of the SPPJ architecture have been characterized, and the scope of their integration has been defined. The individual parts in the first area, i.e. quality management, have been described in detail. Due to the extensive nature of the issue, components in other areas, i.e. planning and scheduling, coal extraction and processing, coke production, as well as sales and logistics, have only been signalled. Results of the analysis of the implementation of particular components of SPPJ areas have also been presented. The development of the system and the way of implementation in a mining environment is important from the perspective of achieving the superior objective of the JSW Capital Group’s Quality Programme, which is to increase the efficiency of management of the exploited deposit and the volume of commercial product supply.

Environmental phenomena have a major impact on our daily lives. These include changes affecting the sources of life such as in the waters and air of our world, which have been degraded in purity. The term ‘smart environment’ is defined as a technology that provides many facilities and solutions for many environmental application issues related to water quality and health, air pollution, weather, radiation monitoring, waste management, natural disaster, and many other environment indicators. Smart environment sensors integrated with ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT) technology can provide a new concept in tracking, sensing and monitoring objects of environment. This can provide potential benefits leading up to the possibility of achieving a green world and a sustainable lifestyle. IoT allows environmental sensors to connect with other systems such smart phones through Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to send enormous amounts of data to the network and can allow us to have a better understanding of our surroundings and find suitable solutions for today environmental problems. In this review article, we will provide a brief conception of environment areas of study based on IoT technology and discuss the justification behind using IoT in the field of environmental studies. Moreover, we will investigate many proposed applications of environmental research based upon IoT.

Bezpieczeństwo żywności obejmuje zagadnienia związane m.in. z procesami wytwarzania, przetwarzania czy też dystrybucją żywności. Ujednolicenie europejskiego prawa żywnościowego poprzez wprowadzenie odpowiednich ustaw i rozporządzeń pozwala na kontrolowanie jakości i bezpieczeństwa żywności produkowanej, przetwarzanej oraz konsumowanej nie tylko we własnym kraju, ale również sprowadzanej z całego świata. System zarządzania bezpieczeństwem żywności ma na celu szeroko pojętą ochronę konsumentów z jednoczesnym zagwarantowaniem zrównoważonego i niezakłóconego działania rynku. Współpraca pomiędzy producentami, konsumentami i rządami poszczególnych państw warunkuje odpowiednią jakość i zapewnia bezpieczeństwo produkowanej i dystrybuowanej żywności. Niniejsza praca przedstawia podstawowe pojęcia dotyczące bezpieczeństwa żywności, przegląd obowiązujących w Polsce praw dostosowanych do ustawodawstwa Unii Europejskiej oraz podstawowe systemy zarządzania jakością i bezpieczeństwem żywności pozwalające na uzyskanie żywności bezpiecznej, ekonomicznie dostępnej oraz zaspokajającej potrzeby konsumenta.
Food safety covers a very wide range of issues concerning all its aspects starting from scratch production through the entire process of production, finally distribution. Unification of European food law by the introduction of relevant laws and regulations, allows us to control the quality and most of all the safety of food produced, processed and consumed in the European Union as well as imported from around the world. Food safety management system has aiming at the broader consumer protection along with ensuring balanced and smooth functioning on the field. Cooperation between producers, consumers and governments of each country determines the quality and ensures the safety of food produced and distributed. This paper presents the basic concepts of food safety, a review of laws applicable in Poland adapted to EU legislation and basic systems of quality management and food safety can achieve safe food, economically availability and serves the needs of the consumers.

The article presents the results of research conducted on the basis of data from audits. Comparison of the results of this research, with information related to trends and volatility in the certification, allowed the presentation appearing depending between them. It was also touched on the information about new edition of ISO 9001: 2015, how many an what kind of changes it may cause in the quantities of new and maintained certificates among enterprises. In summary of that article, has been presented the possible influence of factors determining changes but not only the quantity but also the business structure undergoing certification companies.
W artykule przedstawione zostały wyniki badań przeprowadzonych w oparciu o dane poaudytowe. Zestawienie wyników tych badań z informacjami związanymi z trendami oraz zmiennością na rynku certyfikacji, pozwoliło na przedstawienie pojawiających się między nimi zależności. Poruszony został także temat wprowadzanego nowego wydania normy ISO 9001:2015, z punktu widzenia zmian w ilościach nowych oraz utrzymywanych certyfikatów wśród przedsiębiorstw. W podsumowaniu opracowania zostały także możliwe wpływy czynników warunkujących zmiany w nie tylko ilości nadawanych certyfikatów ale także strukturze przedsiębiorstw poddających się certyfikacji.

Tematem artykułu jest analiza możliwości doskonalenia systemu zarządzania jakością w wybranej placówce medycznej. Na początku zostało przedstawione aktualne podejście do certyfikacji na normę ISO 9001 w polskich szpitalach, oraz nadchodzących zamian ze względu na wprowadzenie nowej wersji normy. Następnie zostały przedstawione wyniki badań ankietowych przeprowadzonych wśród pracowników określonej jednostki. W dalszej części zostały one omówione i poddane dokładnej analizie ze względu na udzielane uzyskane w ankietach odpowiedzi. Na podstawie zestawienia wyników ukazane zostały pojawiające się między danymi zależności. Na koniec w ramach wniosków przedstawiono możliwe dalsze kierunki zmian w zakresie stosowania normy. Zostały także przedstawione zalecenia dotyczące przeszkolenia personelu danej jednostki medycznej.
The topic of the article is the analysis of possibilities of improving the quality management system in selected medical facility. At the beginning is presented the current approach for certification ISO 9001 in Polish hospitals, as well as the upcoming changes due to the introduction of new version of the standard. Then they are presented the results of a survey conducted among employees of a particular individual. In the next part they have been discussed and subjected to careful analysis due to the given obtained in the survey responses. At summary, based on the presented results, were emerging between data dependencies. Finally, the conclusion were presented possible future directions of changes in application of standards. They were also presented recommendations for the personnel training of the medical unit.

This paper describes the problems associated with the provision of quality of service over an access connection to the Internet, i.e. the Internet Access Service (IAS). The paper has something of an overview character. Following a comprehensive introduction to the subject of “Changing Network Technologies” the paper focuses on the topic “Quality of IAS” in the light of regulatory directives of the European Parliament and the latest recommendations of ITU-T and ETSI. The focus will then shift to “Measurement Points and Measurement Scenarios for Determining QoS”. This topic will be described in detail and illustrated with several graphics. The final chapter has a pronounced scientific character and contains, among other things, a suggestion for a so-called Measurement Management System (MMS) to aid the design, execution and evaluation of efficient, automatic QoS measurements in networks.

It has an indication of the possible technological solutions, including the potential tools and modules included in the proposed system.

W artykule przeprowadzono kompleksowe badanie systemu zarządzania jakością i określono stopień spełnienia wymagań zgodnie z wytycznymi normy ISO 9001:2015. Analiza teoretyczna zagadnień związana jest z tematem zarządzania jakością i interpretacją normy. Zbieranie wyników na tej podstawie może określić, czy działania podejmowane w przedsiębiorstwie są realizowane prawidłowo. Analizie poddano przedsiębiorstwo produkcyjne. Metodą badania był audyt wewnętrzny przeprowadzony zgodnie z odpowiednimi procedurami, instrukcjami stanowiskowymi i pozostałą dokumentacją udostępnioną przez przedsiębiorstwo. Audyt wykazał kilka niezgodności, co stanowi podstawę do dalszych rozważań i tworzeniem na ich podstawie koncepcji wdrożenia w obszarach wymagających zmian.
The article included a comprehensive examination of the quality management system and the degree of fulfillment of requirements in accordance with the guidelines of ISO 9001: 2015. Theoretical analysis of issues is related to the topic of quality management and interpretation of the standard. Collecting results on this basis can determine if the activities undertaken in the company are implemented correctly. The study was carried out using the audit method. The production enterprise was analyzed. The audit method was an internal audit carried out in accordance with the relevant procedures, standing instructions and other documentation provided by the company. The audit revealed several inconsistencies, which coul constitute the basis for further considerations and the creation of implementation ideas based on them in areas requiring change.

In the work the proposals of quality management systems in organizations are determined, according to the opinion of quality management representatives. The analysis of these systems’ functions is presented among the organizations that took part in the Polish Quality Award contest. The remarks concerning the process of system creation, maintenance and development were subject to analysis. Special attention was paid to the problems occurring at particular stages. Considerations were made on the basis of a survey conducted on a group of representatives from the enterprises submitted to the Polish Quality Award contest. The results were supplemented with the authors’ ideas and experiences.

Opis:
The paper presents a practical example of improving quality and occupational safety on automated casting lines. Working conditions on the line of box moulding with horizontal mould split were analysed due to low degree of automation at the stage of cores or filters installation as well as spheroidizing mortar dosing. A simulation analysis was carried out, which was related to the grounds of introducing an automatic mortar dispenser to the mould. To carry out the research, a simulation model of a line in universal Arena software for modelling and simulation of manufacturing systems by Rockwell Software Inc. was created. A simulation experiment was carried out on a model in order to determine basic parameters of the working system. Organization and working conditions in other sections of the line were also analysed, paying particular attention to quality, ergonomics and occupational safety. Ergonomics analysis was carried out on manual cores installation workplace and filters installation workplace, and changes to these workplaces were suggested in order to eliminate actions being unnecessary and onerous for employees.
