W artykule przedstawiono charakterystykę zautomatyzowanego systemu przeznaczonego do kontroli wizyjnej tabletek i kapsułek pakowanych w przezroczyste blistry. Inspekcja jakości pakowania obejmuje: wykrywanie braku tabletek w gnieździe lub ich nieprawidłowe ułożenie, wykrywanie tabletek o niewłaściwym kolorze lub wymiarach, wykrywanie zanieczyszczeń blistra oraz sprawdzenie prawidłowości oznakowania blistra. Omówiono właściwości podstawowych składników sprzętowych systemu. Zaprezentowano moduły programowe związane z projektowaniem nastaw systemu, tworzeniem nowych zadań inspekcji, a także wizualizacją przebiegu inspekcji w trybie automatycznym. Przedstawiono właściwości i parametry techniczne systemu. Opracowany system umożliwia pełną archiwizację nastaw oraz wyników inspekcji.
The system described in the paper provides automated optical inspection of tablets and capsules packed in transparent blisters. The packaging inspection includes: detection of tablets/capsules presence in nests, detection of improper position of tablets, detection of tablets which have improper color or size, detection of blister contaminations, and marking inspection of blisters. Features of basic hardware components of the system are discussed. Software modules related to projects of system settings, creation of new inspection tasks and visualization of the inspection stream in automatic mode are presented as well. Main features and technical data of the system are described. The system also assures the possibility of full archiving of the inspection settings and results.

This paper focuses on the connection between cognitive psychology and foreign language pedagogy in the context of perception and processing of language structures. It describes second language acquisition as the processing of language information, which is influenced by attention focused on language data. The concept of instructed learning assumes the possibility of manipulating learners’ attention by the teacher. The paper provides a theoretical background referring to such issues and also examples of how this kind of knowledge can be used in the classroom.

Unijne rozporządzenie RODO wprowadziło zasady i przepisy dotyczące ochrony osób fizycznych w związku z przetwarzaniem ich danych osobowych niezależnie od obywatelstwa czy miejsca zamieszkania. Artykuł skupia się na zagadnieniach związanych bezpośrednio z rozporządzeniem o ochronie danych osobowych oraz związanych z dokumentami normującymi ochronę danych osobowych i ich przetwarzanie w instytucjach publicznych w Polsce. Autor przedstawia podstawowe zmiany po wejściu rozporządzenia RODO, wskazuje znaczenie poszczególnych organów i podmiotów odgrywających kluczową rolę w ochronie danych na terytorium Polski. Opisuje dokumenty ustanawiające minimalne standardy dla systemów ochrony danych osobowych, które należy opracować w instytucjach publicznych w celu zagwarantowania bezpieczeństwa. W artykule autor podjął się próby wskazania zakresu i charakteru zmian w systemach danych osobowych w świetle wprowadzonych przepisów RODO.
The EU GDPR Regulation introduced rules and regulations on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of their personal data regardless of their citizenship or place of residence. The article focuses on issues related directly to the regulation on the protection of personal data and related to documents that regulate the protection of personal data and their processing in public institutions in Poland. The author presents basic estimates about the entry of the GDPR Regulation, indicates the importance of individual Dobies/organisations and entities playing a key role in the protection of personal data on the territory of Poland. It describes the documents that establish minimum standards for personal data protection systems to be developed in public institutions to guarantee security. In this article, the author attempted to indicate the scope and nature of changes in personal data systems in the light of the provisions of the GDPR Regulation.

The audit of providing appropriate management of municipal waste by public administration bodies was carried out on NIK’s own initiative, in relation to the introduction of a new system for municipal waste treatment. The system is based on selective collection of waste from property owners, and then on their management in regional systems for municipal waste processing. The audit was additionally justified with press information according to which, for instance, not all regions of municipal waste management had been equipped with appropriate systems. Also, in some regional waste management plans, the status of a regional system was often granted to systems that did not meet the legal requirements or had too low capacity, and in many municipalities irregularities existed as for delivering waste to the regional municipal waste systems which, consequently, hampered their functioning. What is more, municipalities did not provide sufficient supervision of the companies that collected, processed and neutralised municipal waste, as a result of which the amount of municipal waste transported to garbage dumps has increased.

Centralne sterowanie i zarządzanie złożonym obiektem przemysłowym, jakim jest zakład przeróbki węgla, jest uciążliwe i niedogodne. Z tego powodu stosuje się dekompozycję celu sterowania na kilka celów cząstkowych, które wyznaczają odpowiednie zadania cząstkowe. W pierwszej części artykułu omówiono zagadnienia dekompozycji funkcjonalnej (pionowej) i przestrzennej (poziomej) celu sterowania oraz warstwową strukturę sterowania i zarządzania w zakładzie przeróbki węgla kamiennego. Scharakteryzowane zostały ogólnie obecnie stosowane oraz postulowane rozwiązania w poszczególnych warstwach struktury hierarchicznej.
Central control and management of a complex industrial facility, such as a coal processing plant, is a difficult process. Therefore it happens that the control objective is decomposed into several partial objectives which define proper partial tasks. In the first part of the article the author discussed the issues of functional (vertical) and spatial (horizontal) decomposition of the control objective, along with the layered control and management structure in a hard coal processing plant. Currently used and postulated solutions for particular layers of the hierarchical structure were characterized.

W pierwszej części artykułu [16] omówiono zagadnienia dekompozycji funkcjonalnej i przestrzennej celu sterowania oraz warstwową strukturę sterowania i zarządzania w zakładzie przeróbki węgla kamiennego. W drugiej części scharakteryzowano modele obiektu sterowania w różnych warstwach struktury hierarchicznej sterowania i zarządzania oraz własności algorytmów sterowania w strukturze hierarchicznej. Omówione zostały też zagadnienia planów produkcyjnych oraz optymalizacji bieżącej stanu ustalonego automatyzowanych procesów.
In the first part of the article [16] the author discussed the issues of functional and spatial decomposition of the control objective along with the layered structure of control and management in a coal processing plant. In the second part, the author characterized the models of the controlled object in different layers of the hierarchical control and management, as well as the properties of control algorithms in the hierarchical structure. Additionally, the issues of production plans were discussed along with the issues of optimizing the steady state of automated processes.

This paper presents the order-picking problem as a multicriteria task. Using simulation tool 360 variants of solution were generated. The different combinations of the picking zone's shape, the number of forklift trucks and the picker-routing methods were considered. The variants were evaluated by seven criteria and the dominated solutions were removed. Then, using the Electre I method, the number of solutions was even more limited. The paper discusses and presents conclusions how to optimize the order-picking process.

The paper reports on wastewater management in food processing enterprises, using the Ciechanów Dairy Cooperative as an example. The efficiency of preliminary treatment of wastewater entering the municipal sewerage system was evaluated using basic pollution indices for wastewater pre-treated in the process of chemical neutralisation as well as results of physical and chemical analyses of raw wastewater from fromage fraise and cottage cheese production lines. The number of exceedances of permissible values of pollution indices in pre-treated wastewater was determined based on values set in the water legal permits issued by the relevant authority. Pretreated wastewater entering the municipal sewerage system met the standards for permissible wastewater pollution indicators excluding BOD5 (biochemical oxygen demand) and COD (chemical oxygen demand). Physical and chemical analysis was performed of total raw wastewater and wastewater discharged from fromage fraise and cottage cheese production lines. Pollution indicators (COD, total nitrogen, orthophosphates, total suspensions, fats, pH) had high values but they remained within the ranges typical for dairy food processing.

This article attempts to find the strongest factors that impact waste management system costs. Case-based studies in three selected voivodeship Polish cities, Opole, Gdańsk, and Cracow found waste collection and transport, processing, and system management to be the dominant cost factors. The price of fuel, electricity and the rates of wages indirectly decide the determined management costs in the above-mentioned categories. The increase in waste management costs on a national scale observed in recent years is mainly from actions taken by companies to meet increasingly restrictive legal requirements. For example, the allowed time for waste storage has been shortened and the amount of environmental fees paid for waste landfilling has been increased. In addition, the obligation to watch the temporary storage and landfill as well as the implementation of fire protection rules. In the cities analyzed, the increase in waste management operating costs between 2017 and 2021 ranged from 41.3% for Gdańsk to 63.5% for Opole.

W przygotowaniu artykułu wykorzystane zostały wyniki badań przeprowadzonych w ramach projektu Analiza warunków przetwarzania odpadów opakowaniowych po środkach niebezpiecznych oraz odpadów po opakowaniach wielomateriałowych w Polsce.
Recovery and recycling of multi-material packaging waste is a great challenge for the system of municipal waste management. Multi-material packagings account for only 1.62% of the total weight of packagings introduced to the market. The category of multi-material packagings includes a few dozen of various packagings which are completely unrelated to each other and they cannot be identified or recorded. Additionally, there are no common methods of recycling prepared for them. The aforementioned factors result in problems in ensuring economic efficiency in recycling processes as well as in difficulties in the area of organisation and technology of the process.

The development of enterprises in the globalised world depends on their development potential and ability to compete with other entities. Of key importance in the field of competitiveness is access to innovative technologies providing a competitive advantage and the ability to cooperate in their acquisition with other entities, e.g. in clusters. The authors attempted to identify the sources of technology and financing options used by companies in the metal processing industry. The studied entities are part of a cluster of national importance, and the adopted research method is based on an interview questionnaire. Studies have shown that most companies buy ready-made solutions and to a lesser extent cooperate in acquiring technology. Noticeable is also a relatively large share of financing investments in new technologies from public funds.

Monitoring, managing and sustaining the quality are crucial to the competitiveness of companies. In order to manage the quality, a variety of Quality Management tools and techniques can be used. The main objective of this study is to identify the use of selected Quality Management tools and techniques in industrial companies in the Czech Republic. This study summarizes the results of the online questionnaire survey (research sample of 200 industry companies). It has been found that the most commonly used Quality Management tools and techniques are Checksheets, Total Quality Management and Pareto Chart. Total Quality Management is currently the most commonly single-used Quality Management technique. Research findings also provide information about the quality tools using. The survey shows that basic (classical) Quality Management tools are used more than new Quality Management tools. The relationship between industrial specializations of companies and used Quality Management tools and techniques are found (The Pearson’s Chi-square Test of Independence and the G-Test of Independence were used). Monitorowanie, zarządzanie i utrzymanie jakości mają kluczowe znaczenie dla konkurencyjności przedsiębiorstw. W celu zarządzania jakością można stosować różnorodne narzędzia i techniki zarządzania jakością. Głównym celem tego badania jest identyfikacja wykorzystania wybranych narzędzi i technik zarządzania jakością w przedsiębiorstwach przemysłowych w Republice Czeskiej. Niniejsze badanie podsumowuje wyniki ankiety internetowej (próbka badawcza 200 firm z branży). Stwierdzono, że najczęściej używanymi narzędziami i technikami zarządzania jakością są arkusze kontrolne, kompleksowe zarządzanie jakością i wykres Pareto. Kompleksowe zarządzanie jakością jest obecnie najczęściej używaną techniką zarządzania jakością. Wyniki badań dostarczają również informacji o wykorzystywanych narzędziach jakości. Badanie pokazuje, że podstawowe (klasyczne) narzędzia do zarządzania jakością są częściej wykorzystywane niż nowe. Stwierdzono związek między specjalizacjami przemysłowymi firm a używanymi narzędziami i technikami zarządzania jakością (wykorzystano test niezależności chi-kwadrat Pearsona i test niezależności G). Zidentyfikowano inne zależności między rodzajem produkcji a narzędziami i technikami zarządzania jakością.
