It was also an attempt to determine the impact on the process of the quality management system in organizations that have implemented quality management system. The analysis was carried out on the basis of the carried out research involving plumbing industry workers.

The following is a qualitative case study investigating the writing approaches that are evident when a group of ESL students were to complete their narrative writing task in the Facebook environment. Six students and a teacher interacted in the Facebook environment to revise and improve the quality of their essays. Data in this study were derived from the online interaction archives and scores of the narrative essays. Drawing on qualitative data of the online interactions, product and genre approaches were evident. Process approach did not appear in the findings although time and space were available for students and the teacher to communicate with their peers and teacher. The implication of this study is that the teacher should also be given a checklist when they are engaged in online writing activities. Also it is important for teachers to consider the different level of thinking skills based on Bloom’s Taxonomy while guiding students to write their essays. There were also emerging themes that were related to students’ confidence and duration of task.

Purpose: The objective of this article was therefore to review the concepts concerning the essence of process approach with regard to public organizations. The scope of the overview included initial analysis of the possibilities to use this approach in common courts. Design/methodology/approach: In the literature of the subject, the concept of process approach more and more often is presented in the context of public organizations. This is often caused by the necessity to implement pro-effectiveness activities, the lack of funds that the public organizations have at their disposal, as well as by the increasing number of public tasks. Therefore, there is a search for solutions that would allow for the increase of effectiveness and for the improvement of efficiency of functioning of public organization, just as it is the case of business organizations. Findings: The activity of public organizations is usually characterized by a sequence of complex activities that are subject to achieving goals being important for the proper functioning of the society. The dynamically developing economic practice forces changes towards focus on activities that create value for the citizen. Research limitations/implications: Currently, it is believed that the essence of management of public organizations results from the nature of goals implemented by these organizations as well as from the complex surroundings. However, the objectives implemented by these organizations are different than the commercial ones. Practical implications: The processes implemented in organizations should be perceived as separate wholes with organic features that can be observed, separated and shaped no matter the industry in which they function. The correctly identified processes would allow for standardization of activities of public organizations. Originality/value One of the most important orientations, when it comes to managing modern organizations, is the process approach; however, its use in terms of public organizations requires taking into account their specific nature.

The goal – of the paper is to analyze the opportunities and risks of outsourcing in the implementation of administrative and managerial processes by local authorities of Ukraine. The analysis includes a set of guidelines for improving outsourcing at the local governmental level. Research methodology – in the paper, an analysis of regulatory documents, reports of the Association of Ukrainian Cities, the outcomes of projects for the implementation of outsourcing in local governments, and an expert survey were used. Score/results – the problems in organizing outsourcing in local governments of Ukraine are identified. The recommendations for solving those problems are developed. Originality/value – the paper is done by the authors independently without any help and assistance of others. The paper provides links to researches, as well as links to legislation. The nature of the paper is a review report.

Construction is a sector where final effect too rarely meets expectations of investors in terms of quality. Using tools of quality management in this sector remains not much popular and does not have many enthusiasts. This approach results from specific construction activities that are characterized by the lack of repeatable results, which causes that using tools and principles of TQM is much more difficult than in production enterprises. Continual improvement is the only way to improve competitiveness of an enterprise and to satisfy customers. One of the principles of Total Quality Management (TQM) is process approach. The paper aim is indication and analysis of basic, auxiliary and service processes in construction services in order to improve quality of these processes. Area of factors that affect quality of construction was analysed in four areas: project quality, quality of subjects of labour, quality of means of labour and product quality. Based on the analysis of determinants of quality of construction services, a model of process approach was developed for the enterprises in this sector. The paper identifies the factors which most substantially reduce quality of construction processes: improper build quality (33.11%) and irregularities in the construction project (24.9%).
Budownictwo jest branżą, w której efekt końcowy zbyt rzadko odpowiada oczekiwaniom inwestora pod względem jakościowym. Stosowanie narzędzi zarządzania jakością w budownictwie jest mało popularne i nie spotyka się z entuzjazmem. Podejście takie wynika ze specyfiki działalności budowlanej charakteryzującej się brakiem powtarzalności wyników w związku, z czym stosowanie narzędzi i zasad TQM jest dużo trudniejsze niż w przedsiębiorstwach produkcyjnych. Ciągłe doskonalenie jest jedyną drogą prowadzącą do wzrostu konkurencyjności przedsiębiorstwa i zadowolenia klienta. Jedną z zasad TQM jest podejście procesowe. Głównym celem artykułu jest wskazanie i analiza procesów podstawowych, pomocniczych i obsługi w usługach budowlanych w celu poprawy ich jakości. Przeprowadzono analizę czynników kształtujących jakość usług budowlanych w czterech obszarach: jakość projektu, jakość przedmiotów pracy, jakość środków pracy, jakość wykonania. Celem opracowania takiego modelu jest ograniczenie niezgodności w inwestycjach budowlanych. W artykule wykorzystując narzędzia zarządzania jakością zidentyfikowano czynniki, które w najwyższym stopniu obniżają jakość procesów budowlanych: niewłaściwa jakość wykonania (33,11%) oraz niezgodności związane z projektem budowlanym (24,9%).

The article addressed the issues related to the process approach, so any actions aimed at estimating the quality of the enterprise, as well as at documenting the whole company. The process approach is one of 8 principles of the quality management that involves measuring problems and solving them by improvement. The entire process is based on a logical action in order to meet customer needs. Within the central modern warehouse there has been used the modern delivery monitoring program to ensure an even distribution of the assortment line. Obviously, not everyone sees only the benefits in centralization, but also the risks. And there is really no golden mean, but there is only the best solution as such. The key benefits and risks associated with centralization and the emergence of distribution centres should be divided on the basis of those creating benefits for the manufacturer, supplier and the company of the distribution centre. The basis of each company is that of the process. The activities of the organization are considered and analyzed in the framework of the quality management system including the processes occurring in the enterprise.

This article emphasises the influence that the quality and information capacity of the chosen form of accounting have on both, the micro-enterprise development opportunities, and the entrepreneurial behavior of their respective owners. Highlighted in a survey conducted among university students and academics is the role of accounting system information, and the legal and tax regulations within business processes practically implemented in the organisation. The paper proposes the concept of training young entrepreneurs in the field of accounting using process approach to management. On the basis of examples of processes in the area of accounting, there are presented the clear advantages of process modeling with the aim of reducing risk, and identifying tax and balance sheet consequences of micro-enterprise management decisions. The need to understand business processes, which in computer systems are often realised automatically without active participation of the user, is emphasised to students. The article indicates the need of controlling tools in micro-enterprises, something impossible to implement in Poland due to the dominance of simplified forms of tax records. The type of accounting record chosen may stimulate or inhibit the development of entrepreneurship by encouraging or discouraging entrepreneurial behavior. The inclusion of process approach to teaching accounting will enable prospective mico-entrepreneurs to understand the role of financial information in making management decisions. The article justifies process approach to entrepreneurship education through the prism of accounting, tax and legal regulations, equipping students with practical skills to plan, conduct and develop their own business.

The article analyses eleven selected barriers to the implementation of the process approach in Polish organizations. Based on a survey, analysis has been carried out and the ISM model was created. The results of the research show that the underlying barriers are: the employee's resistance to change and the lack of financial resources. Studies show that effective implementation of the system based on the process approach requires change in the mentality of Polish employees. Adequate training should be introduced and implemented, and the involvement of management should be increased. Of less importance is the search for new funds.

Aim/purpose – The aim of this article is to present the concept of a multicriteria model of process maturity assessment (MMPM), which allows to assess the degree of implementation of process solutions with respect to three dimensions: short-term, long-term and systemic. Design/methodology/approach – The characteristics of the model presented in the article was preceded by a review of the literature and the analysis of secondary research related to the assessment of the degree of implementation of elements of the process approach in management. Findings – As a result of the review of the literature and the analysis of secondary re-search, a thesis was formulated that quantitative research using the existing methodolo-gies for identifying the implementation of a process approach in management is insuffi-cient in the precise assessment of the organization’s process maturity. This means that they should be extended to include qualitative research. The solution to this problem may be the use of a multidimensional model of process maturity assessment of the organization. Research implications/limitations – The application of MMPM makes it possible to assess the degree of implementation of the process approach elements using the opinion poll method. This means that the results may be subject to random or non-random errors, depending on the selection technique of the research sample. At this point, it should also be emphasized that in order to provide a precision assessment of process maturity using the MMPM, the questions in the questionnaire should be adapted to the specifics of the area under examination. Originality/value/contribution – The scope of this article fills in the research gap that exists in terms of assessing the process maturity of the organization in the long run, understood as defining the direction of development, stagnation or atrophy of implementation of process solutions in the organization. The concept of the MMPM presented in the article makes it possible to assess process maturity in three dimensions: short-term, long-term and system-based. In addition, the structure of the model enables the reconfiguration of the research questionnaire with questions of a self-reinforcing character by the respondent to questions, enabling the assessment of the level of maturity on the basis of symptoms.

W opracowaniu podjęto problem moderacyjnej roli podejścia procesowego w obszarze systemów informacyjnych rachunkowości, wskazując ich wpływ na efektywność procesu zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem. W pierwszej części artykułu przedstawiono istotę systemu informacyjnego przedsiębiorstwa z uwzględnieniem systemu informacyjnego rachunkowości. W drugiej części zaprezentowano podejście procesowe w oparciu o moduł systemu SAP związany z utrzymaniem ruchu obiektów technicznych. Celem opracowania jest poznanie i ocena zależności występujących między poziomem implementacji podejścia procesowego w systemach informacyjnych rachunkowości a efektywnością zarządzania w przedsiębiorstwach. Zastosowanymi metodami badawczymi są: studia literaturowe, analiza opisowa oraz studium przypadku.
In the article was taken a problem of the moderate role of the process approach in area of accounting information system, showing them influence on efficiency of business management process. The first part of the paper presents the essence of the enterprise information system, including the accounting information system. The second part of the paper presents a process approach based on the SAP system module related to the maintenance of technical facilities. The aim of the article is to get to know and assess the relationships that occur between the level of implementation of the process approach in accounting information systems and management efficiency in enterprises. The applied research methods are: literature studies, descriptive analysis, and case study.

The article provides a discussion on results of extensive empirical research conducted in 2016 on a sample of 495 local government authorities, using the CAWI questionnaire technique supported by the CATI survey. The results thus obtained were verified in statistical terms and then critically analysed in a manner enabling final conclusions to be drawn. The purpose of the article is to analyse the impact of the quality management system (QMS) on the advantages and disadvantages identified as those which arise from the process approach implementation in public administration. Therefore the following principal research question may be posed: Is there a positive impact of the QMS on how well the process approach functions and to what extent does it affect the benefits and barriers involved in the process approach implementation? It has been observed that implementation of the quality system does not automatically guarantee any external benefits resulting from the process orientation. The research results imply that efficiency of the quality management systems implemented in the local government authorities subject to the survey is questionable, particularly in terms of their improvement.
Artykuł zawiera omówienie wyników szeroko zakrojonych badań empirycznych przeprowadzonych w 2016 r. na próbie 495 jednostek samorządu terytorialnego wykorzystując technikę kwestionariusza CAWI wspomaganą badanie CATI. Uzyskane w ten sposób wyniki zweryfikowano statystycznie a następnie przeprowadzono ich krytyczną analizę formułując wnioski końcowe. Celem artykułu jest poznanie wpływu SZJ na zidentyfikowane zalety i wady wynikające z wdrożenia podejścia procesowego w administracji publicznej. Główne pytanie badawcze można sformułować w następującej postaci: czy SZJ pozytywnie oddziałuje na funkcjonowanie podejścia procesowego i w jakim stopniu wpływa on na korzyści oraz bariery towarzyszące wdrożeniu podejścia procesowego? Zaobserwowano, że wdrożenie systemu jakości nie gwarantuje automatycznie żadnych korzyści zewnętrznych wynikających z orientacji procesowej. Wyniki badań sugerują, że skuteczność systemów zarządzania jakością w badanych jednostkach samorządu terytorialnego jest wątpliwa, szczególnie w obszarze ich doskonalenia.

Comprehension is one of the four basic language activities required to use a foreign language efficiently both in speech and in writing. In language didactics as part of Polish studies, relatively little attention has been given to this skill although the difficulty experienced by foreigners in understanding spoken Polish is often pointed out. The purpose of this article is to draw attention to the current methodological practice in teaching aural comprehension in the context of psycholinguistic analysis of the processes involved in the reception and understanding of spoken text, which forms the basis for a revision of the existing assumptions.

In the literature on the subject, one can notice quite a lot of freedom in the approach to formulating and understanding of terms relating to process orientation, process approach and managing processes and process management. In recent years, there has been a noticeable increase in interest in the study of process management not only of organizations, but also of individual activities such as projects. Managers are looking for indicators and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of processes in their activities. The purpose of the article is to try to identify differences and similarities and to systematize terminology related to process management in organizations. The study uses literature research based on an exploration of the Web of Science and Scopus databases, with the analysis limited to scientific publications only, and the selection of available materials excluded other materials, such as communications, reviews or other documents, from the analysis. The article is of a review and conceptual nature. The collected research results were subjected to comparative analysis, logical analysis and critical analysis. The research and analysis results presented in the article are an attempt to organize terminology that can be used in further scientific research.
