Among many functions that the family is performing socialization is one of the most important. The need for this function arises from the fact that, in contrast to certain biological characteristics, a child being born does not bring with him any cultural patterns. A child wins them in the process of socialization through the impact of socializing agencies. The family is one of them; it is the first and most important. In the process of socialization children acquire skills that they will need in their lives, learn and internalize moral norms prevailing in the groups, in which they are actively involved and adopt a system of values applicable to them. You could say that the whole of human cultural sphere is a “gift” of the society forwarded to them by specific socializing agencies. Certain social roles comprise a specific nature of duty and service. In such cases the implementation of the common good - the good of others is fundamental to them. A classic example is the establishment of priestly and religious vocation. Professional work of a priest and monk is par excellence a strict deontology, having in mind above all benefits of others. Preparation of the individuals for such roles must inherently be twofold: on the one skill acquisition as in all other professions, but also moral qualifications that will enable a person to perform such roles. The role of the family in this regard is unique and irreplaceable. One can even say that it is the primary seminary waking up and shaping the vocation to priesthood and religious life.

The article The particular role of a woman and her vocation in modern times is an attempt to present the vocation of a woman and her unique role in the background of the present-day world. Author relaying on a woman’s vocation that is described in the Bible moves on to specifying her vocation as a Divine gift, and further to the description of her role and duties which are supposed to taken up. After analyzing the Scriptures Author proposes the following thesis – the fundamental vocation of a woman is love and following from it – motherhood. From this primary Divine intention result specific duties which she ought to realize in the modern world. Among them the most important are: upbringing for peace, married love and safeguarding of life and its suitable transmission. Author observes that among numerous menaces should be noticed: pro-abortion thinking, contraception which is a remedy of all feministic movements which are trying to put on an equal footing to both of the sexes at all costs in their function and duties. A woman who fulfils herself in love can be deprived of her dignity which she was endowed with by the Creator. A contemporary woman-mother must rediscover her identity in love that flows out of her heart. This current of love can include all human beings striving for the motherly warmth and tenderness of her hands ,which in turn gives the sense of trust and security.

The documents of the Church have repeatedly and categorically stated that parents constitute the first subject responsible for the upbringing of the children, but they should always be supported by school and other institutions. The school is not only an institution where knowledge is acquired, but it is also a community where people meet. Since parents are heavily involved in the dialogue between the teacher and the student, then it must be added that people should especially appreciate schools that offer a major support to parents in the sphere of the fulfillment of the responsibility of upbringing. In Christian education it is essential for a child to reach the height of humanity, thanks to the actions of parents, the school and the church. In the modern postmodernist culture, in the era of secularization and dismantling of the deposit of faith, in the period of consumerism, hedonism and easy lifestyle (living as if God did not exist) – it is not the description of reality that decides about the future, but the testimony of life and an authentic Christian identity of the master and the disciple. Hence continual training and self-education, and constant enrichment of their teaching methods and their personality are necessary for teachers, who by undertaking the service of teaching should fulfill both religious, moral and essential requirements. Teachers in a catholic school should bear in mind that that they are Christian teachers and that is why they should be the witnesses of the faith. Their identity is constituted at the same time by the mission given to them by the Church, by the necessary knowledge, mature personality and deepened spirituality. While talking about catholic school one must not forget that this school is supposed to form Catholics aware of their vocation and their place both in the Church and the modern world. Hence it is necessary to carefully select teachers who will work in catholic schools. These should be the teachers who are guided not only by their professional competence, educational and teaching skills, but also by their ethic virtues and practising the sacramental life.

Marriage is a profound communion of life and love established by the Creator and normalized by His laws. It is the strongest bond that can exist between a man and a woman. The concept of marriage is closely connected with its monogamous character. Spouses in the sacrament of marriage get the proper grace from Christ, designed to improve love and to strengthen their indissoluble unity. Nowadays marriage is experiencing a crisis. Therefore, it would be presented not only as a covenant community or an institution, but as a vocation. The vocation is an act of summoning, which involves the mission consisting in completing a given task. The essence of a Christian vocation stemming from baptism is a dialogue of the freedom of God and a man, preceded by the choice of the person and commission of the given mission. A sacramental marriage is the way of bounding with God and following Christ, that is the most appropriate way to holiness for spouses. Therefore, an important message for a modern man is to present marriage as a vocation that is addressed to two people, which should be accepted by them and implemented. This situation also requires a change of the pastoral perspective and new opening not only for spouses, for whom marriage is a way to bind with God, but there is the needed to be opened to those for whom marriage is only the fulfillment of the requirements by the Church to get married.
Małżeństwo jest głęboką wspólnotą życia i miłości, ustanowioną przez Stwórcę i unormowaną Jego prawami. Jest najsilniejszą więzią, jaka może zaistnieć między kobietą i mężczyzną. Pojęcie małżeństwa łączy się ściśle z jego monogamicznym charakterem. Małżonkowie w sakramencie małżeństwa otrzymują od Chrystusa właściwą im łaskę, przeznaczoną do doskonalenia miłości i dla umacniania ich nierozerwalnej jedności. W obecnych czasach małżeństwo doświadcza kryzysu. Warto byłoby zatem ukazać je nie tylko jako przymierze, wspólnotę czy instytucję, ale jako powołanie. Powołanie jest aktem wezwania, które wiąże się z posłannictwem polegającym na wypełnieniu określonego zadania. Istotą powołania chrześcijańskiego wynikającego z chrztu św. jest dialog wolności Boga i człowieka, poprzedzony wyborem osoby i zleceniem jej misji. To właśnie sakramentalny związek małżeński jest sposobem związania się z Bogiem, pójścia za Chrystusem, czyli najwłaściwszą dla małżonków drogą kroczenia do świętości. Dlatego ważnym przesłaniem dla współczesnego człowieka jest ukazanie małżeństwa jako powołania, które skierowane jest do dwojga ludzi i powinno być przez nich przyjęte i realizowane.

The article was made to analyze the causes as the basis for the introduction of the appointment of an employment relationship to the Polish legal system and the evolution of its subjective scope. Launched in the era of communist organization as a basis for the establishment of Staff Employment, taking into account the personal scope of its application and the content of the employment relationship has come a long way. At the same time, it is clear that he still works in the institutions and bodies whose characteristic activity is back on the tried and trusted people and the possibility of taking an immediate decision on the removal of the employee from his tasks. The article indicates groups of positions covered by appointment and justification for leaving the base of the employment relationship in the Labour code in spite of far-reaching political changes.
W artykule została podjęta analiza przyczyn wprowadzenia do polskiego porządku prawnego powołania jako podstawy nawiązania stosunku pracy oraz ewolucja jego zakresu podmiotowego. Zapoczątkowana w epoce PRL instytucja powołania jako podstawy pracowniczego zatrudnienia, biorąc pod uwagę zakres podmiotowy jej stosowania i treść stosunku pracy, przebyła długą drogę. Jednocześnie należy stwierdzić, że wciąż sprawdza się w instytucjach i organach, których cechą charakterystyczną działania jest oparcie na sprawdzonych i zaufanych osobach oraz możliwość podjęcia natychmiastowej decyzji o odsunięciu pracownika od powierzonych mu zadań. W artykule wskazano grupy stanowisk objętych powołaniem oraz uzasadnienie pozostawienia tej podstawy nawiązania stosunku pracy w Kodeksie pracy, pomimo daleko idących zmian ustrojowych.

Searching for answers to the questions posed, an attempt was made to position the teacher in professional activity, which may be the basis for wondering whether the teacher's work should be seen in terms of calling.

In a morał apprehension the faith has got a personal character. The development of person is a dynamic process. It includes an intelectual heritage wherein it realizes itself as well as constant internal dispositions what comes from the nature of human person. The theological tradition is a retlection on a biblical understanding o f the faith that apprehends it as a reply to the God's vocation. That reply is firstly realized within an observation of the Decalogue, then it has got a heteronomical character, and along the development of personality it nextly enters an internal structure of the human subject, where it receives features of the autonomical morality. It is realized within a transition from the morality of Decalogue to the morality of Beatitudes. The mature faith is an attitude of the entire person and her life, and as such it hecomes a fundamental moral dynamism of the human person.

The author of the article shows the threads inspiring the ecumenical vocation of one of the basic authors of Catholic theology dealing with the issues of ecumenism, Yves Congar (1905-1988). Presenting this context allows us to capture the circumstances of the creation of the work that is a milestone in Catholic reflection on this matter: Chrétiens désunis. Principes d'un «œcuménisme» catholique (1937) and an outline of the later evolution of its author's views.

Artykuł stanowi refleksję młodego teologa nad dokumentem Kongregacji Nauki Wiary z 1990 roku pt. „Instrukcja o powołaniu teologa w Kościele”. Rozpoczyna od omówienia okoliczności i kontekstu powstania tego dokumentu. Zwraca przy tym uwagę na zmieniającą się rolę teologów i podejście do Magisterium Kościoła. W następnych częściach ukazuje wskazania zawarte w dokumencie dotyczące pracy teologów. W pierwszej części podaje wskazówki dotyczące osoby teologa, jego pracy i kierunki rozwoju. W drugiej części ukazuje teologa jako członka ludu Bożego i płynące z tego konsekwencje w badaniach naukowych. W trzeciej części wskazuje na właściwy model współpracy teologa z Magisterium. Akcentuje przy tym istotne elementy, bez których ta współpraca nie będzie możliwa/ dobra. W zakończeniu zawarto postulaty stanowiące owoc przedstawionych powyżej analiz. Mimo ponad dwudziestu lat od napisania Instrukcji wskazówki w niej zawarte są nadal aktualne, mogą pomóc w realizacji powołania teologa w Kościele.

Die Visionsschilderung von Jes 6 ist in der Forschung der letzten Jahrzehnten Gegenstand verschiedener Auslegungen geworden. Die meisten Forscher sehen darin eine Berufungsvision oder gar Berufungsbericht des Propheten, andere dagegen bestreiten einen engeren Zusammenhang der Vision mit der Berufung oder betrachten die kebôb-jhwh-Vision als Rahmen für einen Botenauftrag des Jesaja. Die vorliegende Abhandlung sucht einen motivgeschichtlichen Nachweis zu erbringen, dass es um eine Inauguralvision geht, die aber die Züge einer prophetischen Berufungserzählung aufweist und als Legitimationsausweis gelten möchte. Es werden nacheinander solche Motive wie das der göttlichen Ratsversammlung, des göttliches Thrones, der Königswürde Jahwes und dessen Heiligkeit (das Trisagion) untersucht und als traditionelles – zumeist prophetisches – Gut erwiesen. Die Herrlichkeit Jahwes wird noch mit den traditionellen Zügen einer Theophanie dargestellt, überdies aber mit der Theologie der Heiligkeit (Entsündigungsvorgang) ergänzt. Die Verkünpfung der Vision mit dem sog. Verstockungsauftrag bietet ein schwieriges literargeschichtliches Problem, ferner bringt wieder mannigfache Deutungsversuche. Der Zusammenhang der Visionsbeschreibung mit dem Auftrag lässt sich kaum als sekundär nachweisen: es geht um ein Machtwort das die Antwort des Volkes herausfordert oder gar diese als negativ voraussetzt. Der negative Ausgang der prophetischen Mission Jesajas mag dabei angedeutet worden sein. Jes 6,12-13 bildet eine Nachinterpretation der Vision und des Verstockunsauftrags und zwar in zweilerlei Richtung: im Sinne einer totalen Vernichtung und mehr positiv als Grundlage der Hoffnung des entronnenen Restes.

On December 8, 2016, the Congregation for the Clergy published a new document on priestly formation entitled The Gift of the Priestly Vocation: Ratio Fundamentalis Institutionis Sacerdotalis on its website. The document introduces new elements of formation while still taking into account the Church’s previous teaching on the matter. In particular, the document defines the individual stages of seminary formation as the discipleship stage, the stage of becoming similar to Christ, and the stage of vocational synthesis. Preparation for the priesthood has Christological and pneumatological dimensions where man’s natural endowments are assisted by the supernatural dynamics of Christ’s grace and in reference to the Holy Trinity. The supernatural dimension of a vocation is emphasized in the very divine nature of the gift that is placed in the heart of a young person. This gift accompanies the seminarian as he is gradually formed into the image of the Good Shepherd and becomes a disciple of the Lord. This process can be lived only in profound submission to the formative action of the Holy Spirit.
8 grudnia 2016 roku na stronie internetowej Kongregacji ds. Duchowieństwa został opublikowany nowy dokument na temat formacji kapłańskiej, Ratio fundamentalis institutionis sacerdotalis. Wprowadza on pewne nowe elementy, biorąc pod uwagę dotychczasowe nauczanie Kościoła. Jednym z nich jest określenie poszczególnych etapów seminaryjnego przygotowania jako etap bycia uczniem, etap upodabniający do Chrystusa i okres syntezy powołaniowej. Przygotowanie do kapłaństwa ma zatem swój profil chrystologiczny i pneumatologiczny. Naturalnemu wyposażeniu człowieka towarzyszy nadprzyrodzony dynamizm łaski Chrystusa i stałe odniesienie do Trójcy Świętej. Wymiar nadprzyrodzony powołania jest uwypuklony w samej naturze Bożego daru złożonym w sercu młodego człowieka. Towarzyszy mu w stopniowym kształtowaniu fizjonomii Dobrego Pasterza, stawania się uczniem Pana. Ten proces może być przeżywany jedynie w głębokiej uległości na formacyjne oddziaływanie Ducha Świętego.

Ich myśli wyznaczają właściwy kierunek życia osób konsekrowanych. Tym kierunkiem jest wskazywanie już tu – na ziemi na perspektywę wieczności.
Religious vocation is a gift to the whole Church. It is a matter of particular concern for popes. Both St. John Paul II and Pope Francis have a special respect towards religious people. This study is an attempt to show religious life with respect to vocation, radicalism and mission taking the teaching of John Paul II and Francis into account. The right direction of consecrated persons’ lives is determined by their thoughts. It is necessary here on the Earth to point out the eternal perspective.

Lay people who participate in the triple office of Christ and the Church realize their vocation by their presence and by being active in the world. The world and the requirements of life modify their Christian vocation in a particular way. This differs them from the clergymen. Although they share a common Christian dignity and they build the same Divine Kingdom, they do it in a way that is peculiar to them and in the domains they represent: in marital and family life, in culture, art, economy, careers, political institutions and international relations (Decree on the Apostolate of the Laity, 7). The presence of lay Catholics in these fields of human life is something particular, and their apostolic activities are necessary. By living in the world and shaping it according to God’s thought they realize their detailed vocation, which is an actual form of their Christian vocation.

The article outlines the issue of fulfilling the call to holiness based on the hitherto little-known ascetic teachings of Stefan Cardinal Wyszyński. All the research work was carried out by analyzing Wyszyński’s statements about the universal call to holiness and its four dimensions: theological, moral, ecclesial and psychological. The results of the analysis of the source texts were assessed in the light of the exhortation Gaudete et exsultate by Pope Francis. It was found that Wyszyński’s teachings on the realization of the call to holiness lost nothing of its topicality and is fully rooted in the tradition of the Church.
W artykule przedstawiono w zarysie, w oparciu o dotychczas mało znane ascetyczne nauczanie Stefana kardynała Wyszyńskiego, zagadnienie realizowania powołania do świętości. Całość prac badawczych przeprowadzono analizując wypowiedzi Wyszyńskiego dotyczące powszechnego powołania do świętości oraz jej czterech wymiarów: teologalnego, moralnego, eklezjalnego oraz psychologicznego. Wyniki analizy tekstów źródłowych oceniono w świetle adhortacji Gaudete et exsultate papieża Franciszka. Okazało się, iż nauczanie Wyszyńskiego dotyczące realizowania powołania do świętości nic nie straciło ze swojej aktualności i jest w pełni zakorzenione w tradycji Kościoła.

One of the most important biblical texts about marriage are included in Ef 5. This fragment analyzes various aspects of the relationship between husband and wife. According to this, a special attribute of Christian marriage is sacramentality, consisting in participation of spouses, as personal communion, in salvation mystery understood as a deep bond of Christ with Church, thanks to which the marriage of Christians assumes a preternatural dimension. Moreover, Christ`s bond with Church is an example of mutual relations between spouses. A detailed mutual relation of husband and wife is stressed here, and especially the fact of wife`s submission to her husband, that can not be unders- tood as any sort of slavery, but rather as a form of Christian`s calling and the serve to Christ. As Christ is a head of the Church and takes care about the full development of it, especially in salva- tion, the same should be a husband for his wife.

Le récit d’Is 6 est rédigé selon le schème des récits de la vocation. Il se compose de la vision (vv. 1-7) et de l’audience (8-13). La liturgie chrétienne propose aux auditeurs seulement la premières partie du chapitre en terminant par le v. 8: «Me voici, envoie-moi». Mais un vrai problème du chapitre se trouve dans sa deuxième partie où Dieu révèle au prophète une inefficacité de sa prediction. Les impératifs «appesantis le coeur de ce peuple» font l’impression que la prédication du messager divin causera l’endurcissement des Israelites, le manque de la conversion et du salut. Cependant ces impératifs sont à entendre comme futurs: ils dévoilent au prophète les difficultés au cours de sa mission, qui a pour but évidemment le salut du peuple. Et ce salut est bien visible dans le denier verset du récit qui parle de la survivance, après une punition terrible, d’un Reste, de la Semence Sainte. Ainsi la vocation finit non seulement par vision de la survivance d 'une petite partie du peuple, mais aussi de sa sanctification. Il est aussi très probable que dans l’appellatif zera’ qodes est compris le Messie personnel, du Rejeton de Jesse du chapitre 11, l et Ie Germe de Yahvé (semah Yahvé) du chapitre 4,2.Selon le récit de vocation d’Isaïe (Is 6, 1-13) l’aventure de la parole de Dieu se déploie dans le coeur humain. C’est pourquoi il vaut la peine de lire et de mediter toute la narration de la vocation d’Isaïe: la parole de Dieu entre dans le coeur de l’homme, le libère de l’endurcissement, et le conduit finalement à la conversion et la sainteté.

Nell’articolo si cerca di dimostrare la chiamata dei discepoli di Gesù Cristo in Mc 1, 16-20. Il racconto si distingue per la sua unità e al tempo stesso per il suo schematismo. Composto di due scene che raccontano ciascuna la chiamata di due discepoli, presenta, per quanto riguarda la costruzione, uno stretto parallelismo. Con la lettura sincronica del racconto si cerca di presentare due caratteristiche della chiamata: l’iniziativa di Gesù e la risposta dei chiamati. Gli elementi comuni dell’azione di Gesù sono: il movimento, il suo vedere le persone, il suo chiamare alla sequela, la motivazione e lo scopo della chiamata. La risposta dei chiamati consiste di due parti: lasciare e seguire. La prima riguarda il passato: abbandonano l’ambiente in cui finora hanno vissuto. La seconda è orientata al futuro che sarà determinato dal rapporto con Gesù. Chi accetta la sua chiamata acceta pure l’appartenenza alla comunità dei chiamati. La comunità dei discepoli e la loro comunanza di vita con Gesù devono essere considerate come il luogo preferito in cui Gesù si è rivelato.

Powołanie to posiadanie względnie stałych predyspozycji do wykonywania jakiejś roli, zadania, czynności, pracy. W chrześcijaństwie powołanie rozumiane jest jako wezwanie człowieka przez Boga do realizacji określonych zadań i sytuuje się ono w procesie socjalizacji, wychowania i samowychowania. Wychowanie chrześcijańskie oparte jest na ideach i wartościach głoszonych przez Jezusa z Nazaretu, w których na czoło wybija się troska o zbawienie. Przyjmuje personalistyczną i integralną koncepcję człowieka – uznaje, że jednostka ludzka jest osobą, posiadającą wymiar fizyczny oraz duchowy. Człowiek jest osobą zdolną do rozwoju, a w tym procesie ważną rolę odgrywa odczytanie i realizowanie własnego powołania. Bóg każdego człowieka powołuje do życia przeżywanego w miłości. Chrześcijańska moralność podporządkowana jest trzem cnotom ewangelicznym: wierze, nadziei i miłości oraz idei budowania Królestwa Bożego. Wychowanie chrześcijańskie polega na poznaniu siebie i swego powołania oraz świadomym podjęciu pracy nad własnym rozwojem i realizacją wyznaczonej przez Boga misji. Każdy człowiek jest przez Boga powołany do zrealizowania określonych zadań, czyli własnego, osobistego powołania. Można powiedzieć, że odczytanie własnego powołania oraz świadomość konieczności pracy nad własnym rozwojem są istotnymi elementami wychowania chrześcijańskiego.
A vocation is defined as a relatively stable predisposition to perform a role, a task, an act, or a labour. In Christianity a vocation is understood as a call of man by God for the accomplishment of certain tasks. It is situated in the process of socialization, education and self-education. Christian education is based on the ideas and values proclaimed by Jesus of Nazareth where a concern for salvation has moved to the forefront. Personalistic and integral conception of man is assumed – the human individual is recognized as a person who has a physical and spiritual dimension. Man is a person capable of development. In this process the reading and accomplishment of one's vocation plays an important role. God calls each person to a life lived in love. Christian morality is subordinated to the three evangelical virtues: faith, hope and love, and the idea of building the Kingdom of God. Christian education is the knowledge of oneself and one's vocation and conscious work on one's own development and the realization of the mission assigned by God. Every person is called by God to do certain tasks, which means his own personal vocation. We can say that the reading of one's vocation and the awareness of the need to work on their own development are important elements of Christian education.

Die Geschichte der Menschheit verläuft ebenso wie die menschliche Heilsgeschichte durch die Familie. Darum stellt die Familie unter den vielen Wegen der Kirche den ersten und in vielerlei Hinsicht auch den besten Weg dar. Selbst wenn sich jemand dafür entschieden hat allein zu leben, bleibt die Familie doch sein existenzieller Horizont als diejenige Gemeinschaft, auf der das gesamte Leben basiert. Die wichtigste Aufgabe der Familie im Rahmen ihres Mitwirkens an einer Zivilisation der Liebe besteht offensichtlich darin, den Begriff der Elternschaft in einem vertieften Sinn zu verstehen. Im vorliegenden Artikel wurde das Problem aufgegriffen, dass die Elternschaft die Realisierung der göttlichen Berufung sein muss und welche Konsequenzen sich daraus für die Erziehung ergeben. Zunächst wurde dargelegt, wie die christliche Berufung im Allgemeinen zu verstehen ist, bevor in diesem Licht die Berufung zu einem Leben in Ehe und Familie betrachtet wurde. Im Anschluss daran wurde erläutert, dass die Berufung zu einem Leben in Ehe und Familie ein Geschenk aber auch eine Aufgabe darstellt. Dagegen bezieht sich der letzte Punkt auf die elterliche Liebe, die ihren Ausdruck auf ganz unterschiedliche Weise als mütterliche oder väterliche Liebe finden kann.

Powołanie jest przedmiotem badań wielu dyscyplin naukowych – psychologii, teologii, filozofii czy socjologii – jednakże brakuje wciąż w tej dziedzinie opracowań pedagogicznych. Zwłaszcza dziś, kiedy to szumnie ogłasza się tzw. kryzys powołań, podając statystyki dotyczące mężczyzn wstępujących do seminariów duchownych i wspólnot zakonnych, kobiet w klasztorach, czy rozwodów. W obliczu tych problemów powinno stanąć do działania wychowanie, wychowanie służące rozeznawaniu powołania. Artykuł ten poświęcono pedagogicznym aspektom powołania w ujęciu Edyty Stein, Żydówki, doktora filozofii, karmelitanki bosej, świętej męczennicy. Jej twórczość naukowa dotycząca powołania, począwszy od powołania ogólnoludzkiego po zawodowe, jest nieocenionym źródłem wskazań wychowawczych i pedagogicznych. Szczególnie wiele miejsca Stein poświęciła powołaniu kobiety − towarzyszki mężczyzny, matki i oblubienicy, a także rozpoznaniu swoistości jej natury i zadań.
The abstract presents thought and life of Edith Stein about women’s vocation. The author is searching an answer for question about the essence of femininity and a special role of the woman in modern world. The paper is also analysis vocation as educational assignments and pedagogical bases of forming vocation in family.

This article aims to show the vocation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart in the ecclesial context. In the light of reflection of Vatican Council II each and individual religious vocation, as well as all the religious life, is firmly inscribed in the life of the Church itself. In this context the vocation and the mission of the Congregation of the Sacred Heart shall be placed as well. At first, the figure of the Founder of the Congregation, of father Leo Dehon, is presented as of a man who in his vocation was fully loyal and committed to the Church. Then the ecclesial nature of the SCJ vocation is discussed on the base of the current Constitutions of the Congregation; and finally, the mission of Polish Priests of the Sacred Heart in the local and universal Church is presented. Outlined issues help us to state that the Congregation of the Sacred Heart, which was established primarily to address the needs of the Church of Fr Dehon’s times, even today, as it is clearly seen on the example of the Polish Province of the Congregation, through its own charism and ministry partakes in the Church’s evangelizing mission of our time. The Priests of the Sacred Heart are present in a wide circle of the Church’s mission, both in distant countries, as the mission ad gentes and in the areas of the new evangelization which embraces the countries of Eastern and Western Europe as well. Wherever the Congregation is present, it carries out its mission in a close cooperation and under the pastoral custody of the Shepherds of the local Churches. Also today, as it was in the time of the Founder, the Congregation enters into those areas of human life, which the most demand support and evangelization. In this way, it is naturally complementing the pastoral ministry of the diocesan churches.

Artykuł podejmuje temat teologii świętości w ujęciu jednego z najwybitniejszych teologów współczesnych, tworzących na emigracji, związanych z paryskim Instytutem św. Sergiusza, Pawła Ewdokimowa. W pierwszej części, w oparciu o Biblię i Tradycję patrystyczną, opisuje jedyną – świętość Boga. Następnie w świętość Boga wprowadza aspekt antropologiczny: człowieka, który według zamysłu swego Stwórcy, zaproszony jest do udziału w świętości Boga. Miejscem odpowiedzi na zaproszenie jest Kościół, w którym każdy ochrzczony realizuje swoje powołanie do świętości.
The article discusses the theology of holiness according to one of the most eminent contemporary Orthodox theologians, working in exile, associated with the Institute of St. Sergius in Paris, Pavel Evdokimov. In the fi rst part, based on the Bible and patristic tradition, the article describes one thing: the holiness of God. Then, it introduces the anthropological aspect of God’s holiness: man, who, according to the intention of his Creator, is invited to participate in His unique holiness. The place of response to the invitation is the Church, where every baptized person realises his or her vocation to holiness.

Bez wątpienia problematyka powołania do życia konsekrowanego należy do kluczowych tematów w katechezie młodzieży szkół ponadgimnazjalnych. Na tym etapie katechizacji młody człowiek dokonuje wyborów dalszej drogi życiowej i decyduje o własnym losie. Z uwagi na znaczenie katechetyczne problematyki powołania do życia konsekrowanego, warto nad nią podjąć refleksję i najpierw ukazać czy i w jaki sposób pojawia się ona w podstawie programowej katechezy i programach nauczania religii w liceum, technikum i w szkole zawodowej. Powstaje pytanie na ile obecna jest tam tematyka powołania życiowego i tej szczególnej formy jaką jest życie konsekrowane? Poszukajmy zatem na to pytanie odpowiedzi. Opisując problematykę powołania do życia konsekrowanego, zwrócimy uwagę na cele, treści i zadania bezpośrednio i pośrednio związane z powołaniem i życiem konsekrowanym. Zaakcentujemy problem kształtowania w uczniach umiejętności dokonywania właściwych wyborów dalszej drogi życiowej oraz wskażemy na potrzebę zmian programowych.
The vocation to the consecrated life occupies an important place among the various roads vo-cation. Contemporary culture marginalizes these issues. The young man guided in his life, above all what is fashionable, easy to reach, comfortable. He runs away from what a difficult, demanding asceticism, but valuable. In the catechesis of young people from secondary schools the issue of vocations to the consecrated life deserves special attention. The article describes the essence of the vocation to the consecrated life. Then, much attention was paid assumptions program teaching about the vocation to the consecrated life. Specific problems described in connection with the vocation to holiness. Attention was paid to the implementation of the youth to pray for a good understanding of the way personal vocation and testimony and prayer of catechist.

Zagadnienie apostolstwa świeckich pojmowane jako włączenie się w głoszenie Ewangelii przez cały Kościół odniesione musi być do sakramentu chrztu jako jego źródła. Źródłowy charakter chrztu widoczny jest w kilku aspektach. Podstawowymi są następujące dwa.Pierwszym jest włączenie przez chrzest do wspólnoty Kościoła, który z natury jest apostolski i misyjny. Zadanie apostolskie Kościół wypełnia zarówno przez osoby konsekrowane i mające udział w kapłaństwie sakramentalnym, ale także przez wszystkich świeckich ochrzczonych. Chrzest włączający w Kościół jest więc tym aktem zbawczym, który uzdalnia do realizowania zadań apostolskich.Drugim aspektem jest udział w potrójnej godności Chrystusa - kapłańskiej, prorockiej i królewskiej. We wszystkich tych trzech pojęciach kryje się tajemnica jedności z Chrystusem, który sam będąc pierwszym głoszącym Ewangelię uzdalnia i powołuje wszystkich ochrzczonych do tego zadania.W oby tych aspektach istotną i źródłową rolę spełnia sakrament chrztu.
The issue of lay apostolate understood as the engagement of the whole Church in the preaching of the Gospel must be referenced to the sacrament of baptism as its source. The source nature of baptism can be seen in several aspects. The following are the main two.The first one is the inclusion by baptism into the Church, which is apostolic and missionary by its nature. The Church fulfills the apostolic task by both the consecrated and involved in the sacramental priesthood as well as all the baptized laity. Baptism, which includes into the Church, is the act of salvation which enables us to carry out the tasks of the Apostles.The second aspect is the participation in the triple dignity of Christ - the priestly, prophetic and kingly. In all of these three concepts is hidden the mystery of communion with Christ, who himself being the first to preach the Gospel, enables and calls all the baptized to this task.In both these aspects the crucial and source role is played by the sacrament of baptism.

Bóg jest niepojęty w swym majestacie i chwale. W Starym Testamencie Świętym w najwyższym stopniu jest Bóg. Święty jest Bóg, lecz świętymi są również związani z Nim ludzie i rzeczy. Idea świętości może zawierać w sobie nadto element poświęcenia Bogu i uwolnienia od tego, co złe lub niewłaściwe. W Nowym Testamencie kontynuowana jest idea świętości występującą w judaizmie. Święty jest Bóg, świątynia i Prawo. Doświadczenie świętości jest, tak w ogólnej historii religii, jak i w Izraelu, pewnym prazjawiskiem religijnym; świętości bowiem, jako określonego pojęcia, nie można wyprowadzać z jakiejkolwiek innej ludzkiej skali wartości. W człowieku z jednej strony spotyka się łaska Boża, która buduje na naturze i z drugiej strony wolna wola człowieka. Jedynie w pełnej wolności człowiek może odpowiedzieć na wezwanie Boga, który powołuje go do świętości. Pytanie tylko czy człowiek chce być święty i zaufać Bogu? Wybrałam tylko kilku świętych, którzy bezgranicznie zaufali Bogu i w pełnej wolności odpowiedzieli Bogu tak. Święci, różnych epok: Maria Magdalena; Łotr powieszony obok Jezusa na krzyżu, Paweł z Tarsu; Augustyn; Tomasz z Akwinu; Faustyna; Edyta Stein; Jan Paweł II. Różnili się praktycznie wszystkim ale łączyło ich jedno spotkanie z Chrystusem, które w każdym przypadku wyglądało inaczej. Jednak każda z tych osób po tym spotkaniu zmieniła swój sposób myślenia, patrzenia i postępowania, które zjednoczyło ich z Chrystusem.
God is inconceivable in his authority and glory. In the Old Testament God is the holliest. He is holy as well as the people and things that are connected with him.The concept of holiness may contain the element of sacrifice to God and the release of what is bad and inapropriate. In the New Testament the idea of holiness present in Judaism is continued. God is holy as well as the Temple and the Law. The experience of holiness is a religious phenomenon in universal history of religion as well as in Israel. Holiness as a defined concept cannot be formulated from any human scale of values. On one hand there is God’s grace based on the nature in every human being, on the other hand his free will. Only in his full freedom can one respond to God’s call as he relies to holiness. The question is whether the man wants to be holy and trust God. I have chosen only a few saints who trusted God absolutely and said yes to him in their absolute freedom. The saints of various ages: Mary Magdalene, the villain crucified with Jesus Christ, Paul of Tarsus, St. Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, Faustina, Edita Stein and John Paul II. They were different in almost everything but what unites them is the encounter with Christ- exceptional in each case. However each of the people mentioned after the encounter changed their way of thinking, looking and acting. That united them with Christ.

W dniu 30 grudnia 2015 r. została uchwalona nowelizacja ustawy o służbie cywilnej oraz innych ustaw (Dz.U. z 2016 r., poz. 34), która obowiązuje od 23 stycznia 2016 r. Nowelizacja ta wprowadziła istotne zmiany w naborze na wyższe stanowiska w służbie cywilnej. Zmiany te w wielu aspektach mogą wydawać się kontrowersyjne, w tym z perspektywy konstytucyjnej. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest ocena wprowadzonych zmian w kontekście zasady równego dostępu, w tym otwartego i konkurencyjnego naboru do służby publicznej. W opracowaniu zastosowano metodę dogmatyczną oraz analityczną. Autorka dokonuje analizy regulacji znowelizowanej ustawy, odnosząc się do najważniejszych wprowadzonych nowelizacją zmian w naborze na wyższe stanowiska w służbie cywilnej. Konkludując swoje rozważania, autorka wyraża pogląd, iż nowo wprowadzone regulacje w zakresie naboru na wyższe stanowiska w służbie cywilnej niezupełnie dają się pogodzić z modelem politycznie neutralnego i zawodowego korpusu służby cywilnej.
The amendment to the Act on Civil Service and other acts was passed on 30 December and entered into force on 23 January 2016. The amended Act introduced significant changes concerning recruitment for higher positions in the Civil Service. The changes may be considered controversial in many aspects, especially from a constitutional perspective. The objective of this paper is the assessment of the amendments with special focus on the principle of equal treatment, especially open and competitive recruitment for public service. Dogmatic and analytical methods were used in the paper. The Author analyzes the regulations of the amended Act, focusing on the most important changes in recruitment procedures for higher positions in Civil Service. The Author concludes that the new regulations concerning recruitment for higher positions in Civil Service violate the principle of a politically neutral and professional Civil Service.

The article discusses a ąuestion of the celestial happiness as a certain State, into which, according to the teaching of Gregory the Great, the human being was called by God and which was given to him/her as a gift. From the beginning of his/her existence, the human enjoyed the happiness of paradise and could achieve, in futurę, the higher State of happiness, which was the celestial happiness, on the condition that he/she will be obedient to God’s commandment. However, the human did not observe obedience towards God and not only did the human not achieve the higher State of happiness, but also lost the happiness of paradise. The human being, on his/ her own, could not regain the possibility of achievement of celestial happiness. The necessary condition was God’s action. Creator did not change the divine plan towards the human being and still desired him/her to be happy. God accepted the human body and redeemed humanity. God restored the human being not only to the former glory of paradise, but also opened access to heaven, i. e., to the State of the highest happiness. The human person should advance spiritually during the earthly life to become apt to accept the gift of the eternal happiness.

Pragnienie Kościoła wyboru mężczyzn na kapłanów czy biskupów zostało zrealizowane a prawdziwymi kryteriami powołania są potrzeby wspólnoty w służbie Ewangelii, zdolności powołanego, wezwanie Kościoła i zgoda zainteresowanego. W 1912 roku spór Branchereau - Lahitton przyczynił się do potwierdzenia przez papieża Piusa X tradycyjnej doktryny na temat powołania jako wezwania Boga, realizowanego we wspólnocie Kościoła. 3. Współczesna sytuacja. Powołanie jest doświadczeniem Boga, który przemawia do mężczyzny, który Go słucha. Wezwanie skierowane do konkretnej osoby jest nierozdzielne z powołaniem pochodzącym od ludu (od Kościoła). Ten związek jest obecny w rycie święceń diakonatu czy prezbiteratu: „Święta Matka Kościół prosi...”. Święcony wyraża w tym czasie swoją zgodę. Wezwanie jest równocześnie posłaniem do tego ludu, z którego wywodzi się kandydat do święceń. Można stwierdzić, że powołanie jest procesem wychowawczym całego Kościoła na różnych etapach jego zrodzenia, wzrostu i weryfikacji. Stąd też do święceń wymaga się odpowiednich opinii o kandydacie, wyrażonych przez głos ludu z którego on pochodzi.
Artykuł zawiera trzy zasadnicze punkty, które stanowią próbę odpowiedzi na następujące pytania: czy powołanie zbudowane tylko na pragnieniu pozostania księdzem jest tradycyjne? W jaki sposób Kościół jako wspólnota ludzi wierzących edukuje swoich powołanych? Co Tradycja może nas nauczyć w tym względzie? 1. Tradycja biblijna ukazuje nam przykłady różnych powołań: indywidualnych i kolektywnych. W Starym Testamencie powołanie Izraela było suwerennym aktem ze strony Boga, który zwracał się także po imieniu do wybranych mężczyzn. Misja i odpowiedzialność powołanego nie zależały od jego talentów, lecz od siły mającej swe źródło w Bogu. W Nowym Testamencie źródłem powołania jest również Bóg, ale przez pośrednictwo Jezusa. An important duty of man is proper communication and relativity to creation. This is due to the unique situation of our being “in the middle” and our vocation to go out “in the opposite direction”. However, personal faith in God becomes a particularly ennobling factor, as it somehow deepens the human desire for closeness and solidarity with the whole created reality. Through true openness to the visible world, we learn more about the relationship between the individual and the community, as well between the human community and the whole creation. Ultimately, we are trying to take up the challenge of dealing responsibly with nature as a unique value today and with the right to continue in the future.

Potoczne doświadczenie człowieka świadczy o jego zdolności do autokreacji (kształtowania własnej tożsamości) w obrębie wyznaczonym przez naturę. Badania z zakresu neuroscience potwierdzają tę tezę, starając się opisać ów proces na różnych poziomach ludzkiej egzystencji (psychologicznej, cielesnej – zwłaszcza neurobiologicznej). Z niektórymi obszarami tak rozumianej autokreacji stoją w sprzeczności pewne tezy teologiczne podkreślające Boski akt stwórczy, który określa nie tylko ogólnie pojętą naturę ludzką, ale i konkretny kształt ludzkiej egzystencji, realizujący się np. w powołaniu lub wybraniu przez Boga do konkretnego życia. Artykuł poddaje analizie potencjalne przestrzenie konfliktu, pytając zarówno o zakres, jak i o charakter interakcji między autokreacją człowieka i stwórczym aktem Boga. Ponadto w artykule zostaje podjęta próba przeformułowania przestrzeni interpretacji owej zależności, osadzając w centrum analizy nie cząstkowe perspektywy osobowe (perspektywa Boska lub ludzka), lecz perspektywę relacji rozumianej jako istotowo pierwotna w stosunku do perspektywy osobowej.
The human’s current experience gives an evidence about his or her ability to self-creation (i.e.: identity formation) in the context determined by the nature. The neuroscience researches, trying to describe the process on various levels of human existence (psychological, bodily, especially neurobiological), prove that thesis. Some areas of self-creation of that kind are contrary to certain theological thesis that underline the God’s creative act. This act determines not only the human nature in a broad sense, but also a specific shape of human existence, that appears for example in God’s vocation to a particular way of life. The article analyses potential spheres of conflict, searching both the range and the character of interaction between human self-creation and creative act of God. Moreover, the article attempts to redefine the sphere of interpretation of that dependence, putting in the analysis’ centre not the partial personal perspectives (God’s and man’s perspectives), but the perspective of relation conceived as essentially primary in respect to the personal perspective.

Artykuł analizuje proces formacji powołań jako podstawy kapłaństwa. W artykule zostały przedstawione podstawowe zasady powołania do kapłaństwa. Nacisk kładziony jest na formację kandydatów do kapłaństwa w kontekście decyzji synodów i soborów, a także aprobaty biskupów lokalnych. Podkreśla się potrzebę zapewnienia odpowiedniej edukacji formacyjnej przyszłym duchownym poprzez połączenie nauczania i wychowania w seminarium duchownym. Osobnym zagadnieniem jest proces formowania przyszłego duchowieństwa poprzez wychowanie w rodzinie i formowanie ich w środowisku rówieśników.
The study explores the process of vocations formation as the basis of the priesthood. The article presents the basic stages of development of a vocation to the priesthood. The particular attention should be paid to the emphasis on the formation of candidates for the priesthood in the context of the provisions of synods and councils, as well as the approval of local bishops. It is necessary to highlight the need to provide appropriate formation education for future clergy by combining teaching and education in a seminary. A separate issue is the process of forming the future clergy through upbringing in a family and forming them in the environment of peers.

Przywrócenie służby publicznej w Polsce stało się jednym z istotnych czynników wpływających na intensyfikację badań naukowych nad charakterem prawnym stosunków zatrudnienia w administracji publicznej. Ramy debaty w języku prawniczym wyznacza pojęcie prawa urzędniczego, którego zakres przedmiotowy oraz umiejscowienie w systemie prawa nie doczekało się powszechnej akceptacji. Prawo urzędnicze bywa zatem kwalifikowane jako część prawa pracy albo prawa administracyjnego, przy czym linię demarkacyjną poglądów w tym zakresie wyznacza przede wszystkim specjalizacja naukowa badacza. Artykuł jest głosem w debacie o przynależności gałęziowej prawa urzędniczego. Przyjęto, że o kwalifikacji stosunków prawnych do prawa pracy albo prawa urzędniczego przesądza podstawa jego nawiązania. Stąd analizie poddano umowę o pracę, powołanie mianowanie i wybór, jako akty kreujące prawny stosunek zatrudnienia. Z przeprowadzonych badań wynika, że prawo urzędnicze jest częścią prawa pracy, a regulowane przez nie stosunki zatrudnienia są szczególnymi, ze względu na rodzaj pracy osób objętych prawem urzędniczym, stosunkami pracy.

Every vocation is the work of God. It is God who gives the grace and everything one needs to fulfil the vocation. So it was in Abraham’s life. Being called Abraham had to follow his way — the way of faith. All this was given to him that he could learn to look at the events of his life not as a pagan but as God Himself.               Allowing the transformation God sends consolation. But He also allows doubts and even sufferings that purify. God acts in certain time continuum and through the definite events. Abraham learns not only to believe in God, but just trust Him. Being put to the test on Moria Mountain he doesn’t hesitate to follow the senseless, from the human point of view, way of life. He has already experienced the great love of God who leads him. Abraham believes God because he has experienced earlier that God gets life out of death! This is the moment when in his deep faith Abraham sees the Resurrection. Being baptized everyone gets vocation to holiness. God also leads us through the way of faith giving us the events we could respond to with the words of Abraham — the words of faith: “God will provide.”

La unidad de la vocación cristiana, basada en el bautismo, apenas ofrece cuestiones abiertas. Más problemática se presenta, en cambio, la diversidad en el interior de la común vocación. La difuminación de la identidad teológica del laicado y de la Vida Religiosa tiene su causa en el olvido a considerar la relación cristiana con el mundo como criterio para identificar teológicamente tanto al laicado como a la Vida Religiosa. La „vida laical” y la „vida religiosa” no se caracterizan por la secularidad de unos (los laicos), y la no-secularidad de otros (los religiosos). La diferencia se encuentra en la forma de vivir y realizar la secularidad común o „dimensión secular de la Iglesia”. La forma ordinaria de vivir la secularidad común es la llamada „índole secular”, e identifica a los fieles cristianos en cuanto laicos. Cuando Dios llama a la Vida religiosa, cambia la manera ordinaria de vivir la secularidad como laico, pasando a vivirse de forma nueva y excepcional como religioso. Vida laical y Vida Religiosa son dimensiones de la sacramentalidad salvífica de la Iglesia.

La pericope della moltiplicazione dei pani e dei pesci per i cinquemila (14,13-21), abbreviata da Matteo e limitata all'essenziale, si articola in quattró parti: il resoconto introduttivo sulla situazione d'emergenza (v. 14); il dialogo preparatorlodi Gesu con i discepoli (vv. 16-18); la preghiera di benedizione di Gesu e la distribuzione dei pani (v. 19); la dimostrazione conclusiva del miracolo (vv. 20-21). Il testo matteano sottolinea la forte partecipaziane dei discepoli di Gesu, che agiscono in qualita di intermediari tanto nella parola quanto anche nell'azione di aiuto. La narrazione ha un importante significato cristologico e parenetico. Gesu rivela ai discepoli i suoi poteri, e il Signore della comuniti, che rende partecipi della sua autorita i discepoli che devono imparare a vincere lo scoraggiamento e la difficolta per essere in grado di spartire con altri.Leggeodo la narrazione della moltiplicazione dei pani e dei pesci, scopriamo anche il senso profondo dalla vocazione sacerdotale: il riconoscere che Cristo ancora oggi continua ad esortare i suoi discepoli ad impegnarsi in prima persona: "Date loro voi stessi da mangiare" (Mt 14, 16). La vocazione sacerdotale e quella di essere, insieme a Gesu, pane spezzato per la vita del mondo.

Autor artykułu ukazuje spojrzenie św. Jana Pawła II na obecność osób w podeszłym wieku w Kościele i społeczeństwie. Ukazuje zatroskanie papieża o człowieka przeżywającego jesień swojego życia. Ważne staje się pozytywne spojrzenie na ostatni etap ludzkiego życia, który jest bezpośrednim przygotowaniem do spotkania z Bogiem w wieczności. Omówione zostają tu takie zagadnienia, jak: powołanie człowieka darem i zadaniem; dobrze przeżyć dar życia; starość w Biblii; mądrość owocem jesieni życia oraz przygotowanie do wieczności.

Artykuł skupia się na etycznym aspekcie „Familiaris consortio”; na tle szeregu zagadnień duszpasterskich. Kwestia etyki, która towarzyszyła publikacja tego dokumentu wynika z wahań i oczekiwań wywołanych przez silny sprzeciw wobec nauczania zawartego w encyklice „Humanae vitae” Pawła VI. Wezwanie nie bezpośrednio angażować się w spór z przeciwnikami z nauczaniem Kościoła, ale oferuje pozytywną prezentację całego nauczania związanego z powołaniem do małżeństwa i założenia rodziny. W dokumencie, powołanie jest podstawową w kategorii teologiczno-moralnej, która wyjaśnia i uzasadnia istotne wymagania moralne małżeństwa i rodziny oraz mówi o ludzkim życiu na poziomie świętości. Powołanie to ma swoje źródło w Bożym planie zbawienia i objawia się wraz z realizacją dzieła zbawienia w Jezusie Chrystusie.
The article focuses on the ethical aspect of Familiaris consortio against the backdrop of a range of pastoral issues. The ethical question that accompanied the publication of this document stemmed from the hesitations and expectations triggered by a strong opposition to the teaching contained in the encyclical Humanae vitae of Paul VI. The exhortation does not directly engage in controversy with the opponents of the teaching of the Church, but offers a positive presentation of the entire body of teaching on the vocation of marriage and the family. In this document, vocation is a basic theological-moral category that explains and justifies the essential moral demands of marriage and the family and puts human life on the level of sanctity. This vocation has its source in God's plan of salvation and is revealed together with the accomplishment of the work of salvation in Jesus Christ. The mystery of this vocation is present in the history of mankind as concealed and at the same time revealed in the mystery of Christ and the Church. This vocation sheds significant light on the creation of man and woman, which is the creation of the family based on the foundation of marriage. Hence anthropological truth has a sacramental dimension. This vocation, while permeating internally the created reality, places in the very depth of being the insuppressible calling „Family, become what you are" (FC, 17). God the Creator and Redeemer entrusted to humans - a man and a woman - the task to build a family by the power of the same Love through which the world and human beings exist; it is also the selfsame Love that the Son of God revealed on the Cross when He established a new order of creation. Since then the truth of human existence and the truth of love must be interpreted only in the light of the Paschal mystery. The calling which flows from the depths of the sacrament speaks by the power of grace in the heart of the married couple, in the heart of the husband and wife, who are called to love one another with the same Love that springs from the Mystery of the Cross. This concept of vocation that follows from the sacramental character of Christian existence is the key to resolving particular questions that might arise in the context of married life. The vision represented by Familiaris consortio is uniform and charismatic; it is both theological and anthropological because it pertains to the human being as a human being, not just a „human individual" ensnared by conjugal bonds. In Familiaris consortio there is one conjugal norm and one parental norm: it is always the same Love that flows from God's Heart and through the sacrament permeates the hearts of the spouses. That is why conjugal love is parental love, a love that is responsible for the sanctity of giving birth to life and thus for the sanctity of God the Creator and the dignity of the human being called to be born into the world. Conjugal love and parental love cannot exist without conjugal chastity. To all likelihood here lies the main cause of resistance to the teaching expressed in Humanae vitae. Familiaris consortio rejects any contraceptive manipulation by emphasizing the contradiction inherent in the contraceptive attitude not only with Divine Law but also with the essence of humanity. This stance is contained in the statement that between proper conjugal life and contraception there is not only a moral difference but also an anthropological one (FC, 32). This is a harsh but true judgment on the practice of contraception: all those who use contraception descend to a sub-human level.

Christian is a religion that assumes the personalistic and integral conception of man. The human individual is an individual and personal being with physical (carnal) and spiritual (religious, eschatological) dimensions. In the process of shaping a mature Christian personality the awareness of vocation, hope for full (physical, intellectual, social, and religious-moral) development, and accomplishment of the human goal worthy of the person play an important role. The awareness of one's own calling, general (to holiness) and personal (to a particular social role), are important elements in Christian education. This education is based on the principles of religion initiated by Jesus, and it consists in conveying His message and self-improvement of the faithful in conformity with the rules of the Gospel. The latter's ideal being the love of God and brotherly love among people. Now analysing the issue of vocation and hope in Christian education one may state that in the light of the Catholic doctrine man is a person capable of development. In this process it is important that the faithful understand their own calling and adopt attitudes of love and hope. Hope strengthens motivation to realise general propositions and individual obligations, that is, social roles. Man is called by God to salvation and definite tasks. With his autonomous decision he responds to this calling by his respective way of life. The latter shoud be imbued with the faith in God, love of God and neighbour, and hope that one has some opportunities for development, perfectibility (to be holy) and eternal life. According to Christian understanding, God with His independent decision endows man with the gift of calling to life and holiness. Man may accept this proposal or not. Acting against God's intention, however, always brings forth dramatic consequences. To sum up, we may say that the attitude of Christian hope helps us overcome the difficulties in our worldly life, so that we can make efforts to accomplish the goal of the Kingdom of God (heaven). The awarness of one's own vocation and a clear goal, i.e. life with God and eternal bliss, are important elements that confer the ultimate sense on human existence and factors conducive to the personal development of man.

Usually the formation in the seminary is determined by the documents of the Church. But each environment is introducing into formation certain own characteristic aspects. The general principles of formation will underline the necessity of formation the statures of faith in the presence of the Savior in liturgical ceremonies, to have proper knowledge concerning the ceremonies and acquiring skills to celebrate them properly. In this structure enters proper character of the SCJ seminary. It will be the formation of the sensitive person for the presence of Jesus Christ, what was underlined by our Founder in the picture of St. John resting on the heart of Our Lord during the Last Supper. The other aspect will be the ability to undertake the acts of reparation, in compliance with the rules of the Church. The other characteristic ability will be the love of the Church and Holy Father. All these statures are nothing else but only deepening characteristics of Christian and catholic features.

Human work is commonly considered to be a painful consequence of the first couple disobedience in the garden of Eden. In our short essay we are trying analyze the issue of human work as it is described in the creation narratives in Gen. 1-2. The starting point for this analysis is God’s work of creation. It designates the point of reference for every human activity. In various pictures these introductory chapters of Genesis express the idea that human being is created and called to cooperate with God-Creator in God’s work of creation. Human efforts to dominate and to subdue the earth should aim at unceasing actualization of God’s plan of salvation for the world.

In the article, the author dealt with the teaching of Bl. Primate Stefan Wyszyński on the apostolate of women. In the first part, he presented the tasks and mission of women in the Church and society, and in the second one, their baptismal vocation to the apostolate. He included a summary of the presented content in the conclusion. The author developed the issue by analyzing, on the one hand, the public statements of the Blessed Primate regarding women and the apostolate, and on the other hand, his teaching addressed to the members of the Secular Institute of Helpers of Mary of Jasna Góra, Mother of the Church, commonly known as the ‘Eights’. The article shows, among others, that Blessed Stefan identified the vocation of women to the apostolate with the vocation of men, however, he pointed to its specificity resulting from the conditions of the woman’s nature and her tasks in the Church and society.
W artykule autor zajął się nauczaniem bł. prymasa Stefana Wyszyńskiego dotyczącym apostolatu kobiet. W pierwszej części przedstawił zadania i misję kobiety w Kościele i społeczeństwie, a w drugiej jej chrzcielne powołanie do apostolstwa. Podsumowanie prezentowanych treści zamieścił w zakończeniu. Autor opracował zagadnienie, analizując z jednej strony publiczne wypowiedzi błogosławionego prymasa dotyczące kobiet oraz apostolstwa, a z drugiej jego nauczanie skierowane do członkiń Instytutu Świeckiego Pomocnic Maryi Jasnogórskiej Matki Kościoła, zwanych popularnie „Ósemkami". W artykule wykazano m.in., że  bł. Stefan utożsamiał powołanie kobiet do apostolstwa z powołaniem mężczyzn, jednakże wskazywał na jego specyfikę wynikającą z uwarunkowań natury kobiety oraz jej zadań w Kościele i społeczeństwie.

Uznanie wartości życia i zdrowia jest przejawem świadomej odpowiedzialności. Te cenne dary Boga warunkują bowiem wypełnienie chrześcijańskiego powołania.
