Persons repressed in the Polish People’s Republic may base their claims for damages only on the provisions of the Act on the Recognition as Invalid of Judgments Issued Against Persons Repressed for their Activities for the Independent Existence of the Polish State. It is excluded to pursue claims in this respect on the basis of civil law or the Constitution. The basic condition for pursuing a claim is the declaration of invalidity of the decision issued by the authorities of the Polish People’s Republic. These rules apply both to those repressed because of the armed struggle and because of the resistance to collectivisation. These claims are not part of the inheritance, but are based on the principle of singular succession.

The author of the article indicates the relationships between the accounts of Witkacy’s death and its fictional version. Terlecki’s story of a painter who escapes from war, only to commit suicide eventually, became a pretext for discussing the events from September 1939 and March 1968.

Polish science quite rarely identifies the postwar period as well as the time of the Polish People’s Republic with modernity or modernization. More often the questions on succumbing and enslavement appear, in particular in recent years we can notice the discourses which compare the period of the Polish People’s Republic to the times of the German occupation, thus the state socialism to the Nazism. Although it may seem that currently it is even more difficult to perceive the times of the Polish People’s Republic as the time of modernization, this is the approach I would like to propose.

First of all, the order they guarded and tried to maintain was presented by propagandist agendas as a total antithesis of the Western world – full of consumption, deprivation, and a source of all imaginable evil. Though, Hydrozagadka was not only a grotesque parody of American superheroes’ productions but also a mocking critique of communistic reality.

Opis:
This journal article discusses articles about the Catholic Church in Poland that appeared in the daily Polish newspaper Trybuna Ludu [The People’s Tribune] in 1949. This official publication of the Polish United Workers’ Party (Polska Zjednoczona Partia Robotnicza) played an important role in spreading propaganda during communist rule in the Polish People’s Republic. During this time, the communist authorities sought to subordinate and neutralize the Church. The year 1949 was particularly important in the history of the relationship between the state and the church because it was then that the communist authorities launched a media offensive against the Catholic Church. While the authorities officially claimed to guarantee religious freedom, they forbid religion from being taught in Polish schools and supported only pro-government “patriot priests.” Specifically, Trybuna Ludu reported lawsuits filed against priests who supported the anti-communist underground. An analysis of these articles demonstrates how the communist party used Trybuna Ludu as a tool to spread propaganda.

Opis:
The article is an attempt to use the category of the musical as a tool for describing the society of the Polish People’s Republic (PPR) era. PPR film musical is shown here to be a rare phenomenon, but a symptomatic one. The author reinterprets the theory of Rick Altman in relation to socialist mass culture, ascribing the duality of cultural and counter-cultural on to the conflict between the interests of disliked powers and the unfulfilled expectations of the citizens. He shows how the analysed films differ from the Hollywood model in the attitude towards work and entertainment, and how they fulfil propaganda and compensatory functions. As a result, the communist musical turns out to be something more than an inept imitation - it becomes a “muzykol” [locally made musical like film, that is not up to Western standards], a cultural metaphor for the communist era in Poland.

censorship in Polish People’s Republic
Opis:
Right from the beginning, the subject of the Warsaw Uprising was often manipulated or even entirely erased from public discourse under the Stalinist regime. It was only after the liberalization of culture and the easing of censorship-related repressions that the said topic returned in literature. The paper focuses on the censorship bureau’s approach to the image of the Uprising presented by writers. Moreover, it attempts to specify – on the basis of specific examples – the kind of content that was accepted, rejected or amended. The juxtaposition of censors’ documents and the content of the published works allows for the examination of the depth of censors’ interventions and their methods of manipulating historical facts. Those areas of special interest include: presentation of the division among the insurgents who were supposed to belong either to the brave ordinary soldiers or the passive leadership, as well as the attitude towards the People’s Army, the First Polish Army, the Home Army or the Red Army, with special regard for its passiveness during the Uprising.

Bolesław Bierut’s persona demonstrates that statements made by the then highest ranks of the state apparatus were not without significance for the development and practical application of law. Abundant with ideology, Bierut’s addresses were a foundation for the continuing transformations and justification for increasing repressive measures against actual and imagined enemies of the new authority. A tool for the revolutionary changes was the law.

Following in the footsteps of three Łódź scholars, the author discusses computers and video, which in the last decade of the Polish People’s Republic were considered the most modern media techniques. As such, they played an important role in Polish society.

The Candlelight Party (1980) by Antoni Krauze, based on a story by Jan Himilsbach, is a story about the imitation and the desire to stand out resulting from aspirations, constituting at the same time a critical reference to the socialist consumerism of the era of Edward Gierek The protagonists want to accentuate their status by organizing the party, to a large extent referring to the imitation of customs and attitudes. Regardless, the title party does not cease to be something special, allowing you to go beyond everyday life. The creation of social identification through the preparation of the party, the manner of behaviour, the selection of dishes and alcohol is something universal, and both the aspirations of the heroes and feasting customs are not associated only with the culture of the Polish People’s Republic. This context has a fundamental meaning in the film. The Candlelight Party, as well as other films from the 70s cited by the authors, are also a fascinating description of customs of everyday life and celebration.

In this text, the author presents the functioning of the Commune Committee of the Polish United Workers’ Party in Brudzń Duży, a commune lying near Płock, in the years 1972–1986. It is mainly the minutes of meetings of the commune party authorities, which were analyzed, paying special attention to their reaction towards the challenge of daily life in the period before – during – and after the political breakthrough in 1981. On the basis of the analysis of the source materials, heavy ideologization of thinking of the management staff of the Municipal Committee was found and in consequence – incapacity to respond to social expectations. Hence, it led to a collapse of the influence of the Polish United Workers’ Party all over the country and then – to the liquidation of the entire political formation.

Things did not look any different in the times of the Polish People’s Republic (PPR). The rhythm of subsequent reform attempts determined the chronology of the development of the situation. The author set himself two goals: chronological ordering and typologisation of reform efforts in the PPR and presentation of the  continuation of certain ways of thinking at the turn of the year 1989. Typologisation was assumed to concern ways of thinking rather than specific people and thus, it is not a biographic guide to reform circles.

The article is devoted to the Polish reception of science-fiction cinema; the statements of film critics from 1956–1965 were analysed. During this period, science fiction, previously absent from the screens of Polish cinemas for ideological and censorship reasons, returned to the repertoire and became the subject of press discussions and reviews. The analysis of articles devoted to this genre and published at the time allows reconstruction of the cultural context in which science-fiction productions operated. The article consists of three main parts. In the first of these, the author describes which science fiction films were present in Polish cinemas at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s. In the second part, he analyses press statements devoted to the history and aesthetics of the genre. The subject under consideration in the third part is the reception of two productions, which at the time enjoyed the greatest interest from contemporary critics: Godzilla (Gojira, 1954, dir. Ishirō Honda) and The Silent Star (Der schweigende Stern 1960, dir. Kurt Maetzig).

This article discusses the life, career and work of Aniela Gruszecka. The author attempts to characterize her writing career after 1945, highlighting its successful turns. According to the author the fact that Gruszecka was married to the famous linguist Kazimierz Nitsch may have had an impact on her work. While the criticism addresses mainly the most famous work by this long forgotten writer – Przygoda w nieznanym kraju, the author of the article analyzes two unpublished novels – Wschodnie skrzydło and Geografia serdeczna.

The article discusses Piotr Kurpiewski’s book Historia na ekranie Polski Ludowej [History on the screenof Polish People’s Republic]. Kurpiewski uses the concept of the politics of history to show the relationship between Polish postwar films and their political context. He examines the production process of individual films from the moment of their making to the moment(s) of their reception. From this point of view the historical film becomes one of the main ideological instruments, serving to legitimize the then sociopolitical regime.

Systemic transformation in Poland after the Second World War led to deep transformations within the economy. It did not, however, change the way people thought. Despite the chaos of the post-war period, in which all the negative features shaped in the period of occupation manifested themselves, it seemed that the conceptual leaders of the Polish political and economic life would create new quality. However, it soon turned out that old habits die hard and the system created by communists opened a field for many abuses. This was accompanied by a sense of impunity, as the most prominent personalities in a given region were also involved in economic scandals. All this resulted in the creation of “cliques” in which both prominent Party activists and people put by the Party in high positions (usually also members of the Polish United Workers’ Party, PUWP) played important roles. On the one hand, after 1956, surveillance by the Security Office (UB) or Security Services (SB) was not that strict anymore, and on the other, the so-called “private initiative” started to develop fast – therefore the more “entrepreneurial” individuals started to exploit the situation and gain wealth. Abusing one’s position to organize large-scale thefts was considered relatively normal. This happened in various forms: sometimes directly, but more often by supporting or even organizing private projects with the use of the national, though unsupervised, supply of raw materials or products. This way, the Party members grew richer at the expense of the companies they worked for. This business was relatively widely tolerated by ordinary citizens, who saw it as an excuse to also “organize” goods individually for their own purposes in the companies which employed them. This common belief that “everybody steals” allowed people to justify their own dishonesty. Any attempts to fight this problem failed to produce satisfactory results. The diagnosis, even if correct, had to face reality, in which the pursuit of a better quality of life by the Party elites collided with the officially promoted ascetic lifestyles of the “ideological communists”, who, like Władysław Gomułka, did not understood the new times.

In post-war Poland, rationing was introduced on three occasions: right after the war in 1945, then in 1951, and at the turn of the 1980s. In 1976, rationing cards for sugar were introduced, in 1981 - for meat, fats, cereal products, cleaning products and many other goods. Fuels were the last product added to this list. This article describes the process of introducing a rationing system for petrol in the Polish People’s Republic. Though the supply system crashed as early as 1981, it took several years to organize a rationing system for petrol. Its evolution did not end until 1984. This delay was caused by the long discussions on how the system should be built. This forced the authorities to introduce a whole range of temporary solutions which limited the demand in the short run, but had no soothing effect whatsoever on the society. To the contrary - the chaos they created intensified negative tendencies (such as speculation), led to market insecurity, and increased mistrust of state regulations.

The article is an attempt at providing description of the functioning and transformations of masculinity in culture, and above all in literature after 1945. Whileemploying theoretical languages of R.W. Connell and K. Silverman, well‑rooted in the tradition of masculinity studies, the author strives to reconstruct its dynamics, which is shaped by tension between two categories: hegemony (as the required position of masculinity ensured by military experience) and trauma (as a real and long‑term result of this experience). The tension between the cultural discipline of hegemony and the increasing awareness of trauma shapes other oppositions, which makes it possible to model the historical course of the transformations of masculinity and leads to the creation of postmodern, demilitarized and “depatriarchalised” male habitus. One of their distinguishing features is reevaluation of the previously neglected spheres of male experience, such as fatherhood.

The paper presents the background to the introduction of the crime of betrayal of the Fatherland to the Penal Code of 1969. Due to the Soviet models and Article 79, paragraph 2 of the Constitution of the Polish People’s Republic of 1952, this issue was one of the main themes of considerations on the socialist criminal material law of the second half of the twentieth century. The presented evolution of views in this area shows that they changed with the subsequent political upheavals of 1950—1969. The cases of Józef Światło and Paweł Monat posed a real threat to the communist authorities; therefore, counteracting them — also on a legislative basis — was one of the priorities of the codification of the criminal law of the Polish People’s Republic.

Types of institutions existing in the field of culture had their correspondences in the field of science and education. Developing of the scientific cooperation was not a strategic aim for both countries in the interwar period as well as during the Communism due to the situation on the international political scene. In the era of globalization, in the context of international scientific cooperation, interslavic relations has become the weakest in the last two centuries. Nowadays, even more than before, the scientific cooperation between all Slavic countries depends on individuals and their involvement.

On the Polish market, original and stylised products referring to the era of socialism are becoming popular. These are mainly cultural and entertainment products with both everyday and artistic items being offered and purchased on online auction portals while the production of sentimental memorabilia from the period of the Polish People’s Republic is also being developed. At the same time, the growing interest in Poland as a tourist destination among both domestic and foreign tourists is the reason for the increasing curiosity of its socialist past. Therefore, tourist offers based on relics of that era are increasingly being created on the domestic tourist market, however, the quality of these products and services sometimes raises concerns over the quality of the message that they carry. The main question is whether this is only a simplified message based on stereotypes which give the recipient only a truncated and shallow picture of Poland’s difficult past. This article discusses the main trends and the conditions necessary for the creation of services and products based on relics of socialism in Poland and is based on sources from Polish and foreign literature, both academic and professional, as well as the websites of businesses and institutions creating such market offers.

The main aim of this paper is to examine the discourse on Frédéric Chopin that took place in Poland in 1949, when the 100th anniversary of his birth coincided with the culmination of the socialist realist propaganda in the field of Polish culture. The discourse, initiated and moderated under effective surveillance of the Polish People’s Republic’s government, was filled with communist ideology. The authorities aimed at creating a sense of communion in the Polish nation, therefore they undertook numerous actions in the area of cultivating memory of Chopin and reception of his works. The composer was used as a banner under which the culture of socialist realism was to be consolidated. Chopin was presented by the narrators in the socialist realist context in various dimensions. “Deep humanism”, “truth”, “optimism”, “sincerity” and “democratic features” of Chopin’s music were the crucial notions used by them. Chopin was depicted, among others, as a revolutionist and a prophet of triumph of communism. The oeuvre of Chopin was said to bring together “fraternal countries and nations”, Polish People’s Republic and Soviet Union, while being simultaneously a crucial element of class conflict. The authorities had a tendency to overemphasize folk roots of his compositions, thus among musical genres composed by Chopin the importance of Mazurka was exaggerated. Other genres without such strong folk connotations, as sonatas, ballades and scherzos, were marginalized in the discourse.

The publishing timeline sets the background for the more important focus on the reception of his work. Three distinct periods are discussed – 1945–1956, when his novels were regarded as an aftermath of the interwar period, and thus banned under the Stalinist regime; 1956–1974, when his work wasfrequently reprinted and became a subject of historical and literary research; finally, 1974–1989, when Brzozowski’s novels came under proper academic scrutiny.

The divergence in the structure of the education of men and women in the Polish People’s Republic. Between the state policy and individual educational choices (Summary)In the era of the Polish People’s Republic, the gender divergence in the structure of education grew in parallel with an increase in the number of women who obtained secondary and higher school education. The analysis given in the article supplements our knowledge on the topic with details on the analysis presented here, it is possible to specify two factors which, while linked to the educational policy pursued in communist Poland, stood behind the divergence under discussion. First, vocational schools offered training in trades reserved mainly for men, which led women to opt for high school general education. Second, women’s access to some ‘male’ schools was formally restricted. Women’s educational advantage, which was the result of the policy conducted by the state in the fi eld of education, can thus be regarded as having been an unintentional side effect of the reforms introduced in Poland after the Second World War.

Women employed in State Agricultural Farms (SAF) were blue- and white-collar workers, the former group being more numerous. However, the blue-collar workers mainly worked seasonally, during the period of intensive field work. When it comes to fulltime work, it was usually related to animal production. The demand for this type of work decreased with the progress of mechanization. Meanwhile, the demand for white-collar workers, especially those with agricultural education and experience, increased. Since the 1960s, the SAFs increasingly employed women qualified in agronomy, animal production, and veterinary medicine. However, they were not always accepted in positions traditionally considered “masculine”. For most women, work in SAFs was not attractive due to difficult working conditions and low prestige. If a woman decided to work there, it was usually for economic reasons. Most women did not take up professional activity and performed the traditional roles of wives and mothers.

The state of current research in the field of criminal law in the first decade of the Polish People’s Republic undoubtedly testifies to the striking scale of punitiveness of the criminal law in the years 1944—1955. Expecting great social resistance during the implementation of the so-called agricultural reform, the first and fundamental element of the expropriatory action in the first years of the Polish People’s Republic, the People’s Government penalised the acts directed against this reform, placing them among crimes against the state, i.e. “counter-revolutionary crimes.” The most bizarre provision due to the disproportionality of the protected interest to the penalty was Article 7 of the Decree of 12 December 1944 on the taking over of certain forests by the State Treasury, which provided for the death penalty for thwarting or hindering the implementation of the transition of forests and forest lands to State ownership, or for incitement to acts directed against this transition or acts consisting in public praise for them. Nowadays, there is no doubt that a characteristic element of ownership transformations related to the so-called agricultural reform was the instrumental use of the law, including breaking the law (also the new one). There is also no doubt that the decree on implementing the agricultural reform violated elementary legal and justice principles adopted in the European legal culture.

This paper presents a discussion of selected issues related to the state and law in the thinking of Sylwester Zawadzki (1921–1999) a lawyer and state activist of the People’s Republic of Poland. The text includes reflections on the sources of his worldview and the course of his academic and professional career, and, most importantly, on the content of selected research and observations, of which this co-founder of the Supreme Administrative Court was the main contributor. The purposes of this paper include showing the sources of S. Zawadzki’s intellectual, scientific, and political inspirations that may have influenced and determined his commitment to the establishment of the administrative court system in the People’s Republic of Poland at the end of 1979 and beginning of 1980. There is no doubt that S. Zawadzki then played one of the key roles in the process of establishing this judicial institution in the political system of the People’s Republic of Poland. By virtue of his position and connections in the Polish United Workers’ Party (PUWP), he played perhaps the decisive role that helped break the resistance of some groups in the government, led by Prime Minister Piotr Jaroszewicz. In this regard, the paper also aims to recall the achievements of this lawyer and provide materials for further research on the biography of S. Zawadzki, as well as his teachers and colleagues. The paper is based on S. Zawadzki’s memoirs, his scholarly and journalistic publications, the publications of his teachers and colleagues, as well as selected archival materials (including those from the Archives of New Records and the Archives of the University of Warsaw).

Opis:
Housing blocks constructed from prefabricated elements have been the backbone of housing resources in many Polish cities in the last fifty years. Over the time, the residents’ expectations regarding the residential amenity standards, as well as demographic structure of the estates built in the communist era have changed. Therefore, the current residents’ needs significantly differ from the needs and expectations of those who took over the newly built flats in the last quarter of the 20th century. Fundamentally, the functional and spatial standards of flats built before 1989 are already out of date. The proper functioning of the usable dwelling space of these apartments has gained additional importance due to the inhabitants getting progressively older and, especially recently, the prolonged SARS CoV-2 pandemic. The introduction of the lockdown, which involved strict restrictions on movement outside the place of residence during the pandemic, made the apartments the centre of life and a place of work for many families. Suddenly, for psychophysical reasons, the importance of having larger floor space, than the functional solutions typically used in the 1970s and 1980s offered, has increased. It appears that the residents begun to take interest in all possible solutions to improve the functionality of their homes. The aim of the article is to present proposals for contemporary architectural solutions that can improve the functionality of these apartments that would increase residents’ standard of living and everyday comfort.

W dniu 4 listopada 1975 r. I Sekretarz KC PZPR Edward Gierek wysokimi odznaczeniami państwowymi uhonorował 60 twórców. Uroczystości rocznicowe służyły wspólnocie socjalistycznej za bodźce rozwijające filmowe związki. Z tej okazji do Polski przybył przewodniczący Państwowego Komitetu Kinematografii Rady Ministrów ZSRR Filip Jermasz, dyrektor generalny kinematografii czechosłowackiej Jiří Purš oraz wiceminister kultury NRD Hans Starke. Obchodom towarzyszyła kampania propagandowa w mediach.
Celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the cinematography of the Polish People’s Republic, that were part of the party-state rituals of the Socialist Poland, had multiple meanings. In addition to the very idea of commemorating the act of nationalizing Polish cinematography by a decree of the Council of Ministers, On the establishment of the state-owned Polish Film [Film Polski] enterprise from November 13, 1945 it had obvious political dimension. For the authorities of the Polish People’s Republic, the jubilee was one of the occasions to emphasize the PZPR’s contribution to the achievements of Polish culture and to induce as many artists as possible to cooperate. Therefore, a key place in the celebration were the meetings authorities held with the filmmakers. On November 4, 1975, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the PZPR Edward Gierek honoured 60 artists with high state decorations. Anniversary celebrations served the socialist community as stimuli developing film relationships. On this occasion, the chairman of the State Committee of Cinematography of the Council of Ministers of the USSR Filip Jermasz, general director of Czechoslovak cinematography Jiri Purs and the deputy minister of culture of the GDR Hans Starke visited Poland. The celebrations were accompanied by a propaganda campaign in the media.

This article deals with various references to William Shakespeare’s plays in Polish postwar films, both theatrical and television ones. There are no Polish film adaptations of Shakespeare’s works except for television dramas made for the Television Theater on state TV. There are, however, Polish films (mainly from 1962–1989) about actors and performing arts with fragments and motifs from Shakespeare plays. Their characters are often actors deprived by fate (or History) of the chance to play a Shakespeare role on stage and forced to play it in life instead.

The Polish version of the article was published in Roczniki Humanistyczne vol. 65, issue 1 (2017). This article reconstructs the image of the Polish People’s Republic (PRL) in the monumental pentalogy by Janusz Krasiński, one of the most important achievements of Polish literature after 1989. In his works Krasiński showed Poland in the years 1945–1989 from the perspective of Szymon Bolesta, who at the age of 18 was falsely accused by the Communists of espionage and sentenced to 15 years in prison. The prison experience and Bolesta’s later literary career makes the reader perceive the PRL as a hostile, alien and dangerous entity, based on violence and lies, arousing fear, destroying human souls and trying to create a new non-human ethics.

The article deals with the problem of the material situation of workers between 1945 and 1956. It was particularly difficult in the first months after the end of the war when “cheap labour’ was the immanent feature of so-called “real socialism”. The problem became even more severe due to the policy of “underconsumption” proclaimed in 1946 by one of the directors of the Central Planning Office and introduced as the basis of financing the investment plan. Keeping a disproportionately high level of accumulation at the expense of consumption was a prominent feature of the system.

Described privileges of determined employee groups in the Polish tobacco industry in a period of Polish People’s Republic on example of Kraków plants arose largely from the statute law, although not without meaning carried out its interpretation, by workers self-management and Company’s Dispute Adjudication Boards (CDAB). It was possible to notice the sign of appropriating privileges by determined employees groups not-arising from the existing law, but being a sign of aspirations to ensure a higher position for oneself in the unit through certain acquaintances and in consequence achieving common benefits, etc. informally. The article constitutes only a starting point for further in-depth studies covering employee issues in all tobacco industry in Poland.

The article describes the actions taken by the communist authorities as part of the implementation of the reform of the Great Economic Organizations (the so-called WOG reform). It was an extensive reform of industry management in a centrally planned economy. Its main assumption was the decentralization of industrial production management by granting a number of allowances to economic organizations. The second part of the text is devoted to the general principles of functioning of economic organizations in the new economic and financial system, focusing on the issue of production, wage fund and investment. The research method used is the analysis of the content, both of the existing studies from the period and archival official documents.

The subject of this article is the protection by the Ministry of the Interior’s Security Service of an industrial facility that was important for the economy of the Polish People’s Republic, namely the Bolesław Bierut Steelworks in Częstochowa. The actions taken by the Security Service against the Steelworks’ staff, the legal basis for these actions and the surveillance methods used are presented. The author’s overview of the Security Service’s activity begins with the Stalinist era and leads the reader through the social revolts of the late 1960s and early 1970s as well as the year 1976 to the turbulent 1980s. Thanks to the documents preserved in the Archive of the Institute of National Remembrance, we can follow the unrest in the workers’ environment, the opposition of its representatives to the authorities of the Polish People’s Republic, and the mutual friction within the triangle of the steelwork’s blue-collar workers, supervisors and administration. Irregularities and ‘threats’ of a political, social (strikes) and economic (especially mismanagement) nature, including economic crime and espionage incidents, were the main areas of the analytical, operational and investigative activities of the communist security and repression apparatus. A reconstruction of the history of the operational control of the HBB Steelworks allows us to draw several general conclusions. These include the conclusion that the Security Service’s tasks in large state-owned workplaces were part of the range of tasks posed to secret services in modern states in general (including democratic ones), which were related to the protection of the economic interests of the state as such. At the same time, the Secret Service was also determined to carry out its political police function, persecuting workers for their views. A surprising conclusion from the author’s statistical measurements is the low rate of reclassification of exploratory cases into investigative cases. The Secret Service was generally unable to gather convincing evidence for the prosecution or the court, so convictions for hostile activities (with the exception of martial law) and for criminal and economic offences were rare.

The aim of the article is to present the issues of the functioning of Polish education after World War II. That period, examined in the article, was marked by many problems, while interesting from the point of view of organizing the post-war state and the ubiquitous party agents in public life. The text shows the evolution of the legal education system since 1944, i.e. since the release of the Manifesto PKWN (Polish Committee for National Liberation) to 1961. The second part of the article focuses on 1961, when the first comprehensive law on education was released for native education, and the time of the Round Table and first democratic reforms. The issue of educational law – especially in terms of legal history – has been analyzed only marginally. Lack of studies of this subject, and the literature available on the market, comes from the years of communist propaganda and – in this sense – is not a scientific value. Even a partial attempt to fill this gap, thus seemed well founded.
