Opis:: Paper presents simulation model of pro-ecological transport system (PTS). Model allows computational experimentation and inference on transport modal split and emission of pollution in a national scale. The characteristics describing infrastructure, vehicles, and harmful compounds emission are given. Model is implemented in VISUM – a tool supporting planning of transport processes as well as analysis and designing of transport systems. The demand for transport services and emission of exhaust gases components are reflected in model of pro-ecological transport system of Poland. In particularly, Representation of model of pro-ecological transport system, transport sub-systems and segments of demand in freight transport in simulation model of PST, detailed assumptions of onboard measurements for Mercedes C200, detailed results of on-board measurements of pollutants, CO2 emission in function of instantaneous velocity and acceleration, representation of pollutants emitted by freight transport in Poland, as well general assumptions for designing simulation model of pro-ecological transport system and material and passenger flows distribution and the pollution emission are presented in the paper.

Opis:: Transport is a sector that is said to be negatively affecting the environment. The continuous development of transport increases the negative impact on the environment and civilization. In the article authors present the parameters that were used to describe the size of harmful transport exhaust emissions, in particular by means of road transport and the factors affecting their size. The areas where the level of concentrations of air pollutants are exceeded in Poland were characterized and analysed. Also examples of the stream traffic distribution in the selected area of the transport network were presented.

Opis:: Ograniczenia przepustowości sieci transportu zbiorowego są przedmiotem wielu prac badawczych z zakresu modelowania podróży, a jednocześnie były dotąd w niewielkim stopniu wdrożone w modelach symulacyjnych – przykładowo, funkcjonalność ta została zastosowana dopiero w najnowszych wersjach programu PTV VISUM (z ang. public transport capacity constraints). W artykule pokazano zmiany zachodzące w rozkładzie ruchu w przykładowych modelach makroskopowych, w których system komunikacji zbiorowej podlega ograniczeniom przepustowości wynikającym z pojemności pojazdów, a także podjęto próbę oceny wiarygodności otrzymanych wyników i możliwości dalszej kalibracji modelu. Model wyboru ścieżki jest domyślnie wypadkową czasów podróży i częstotliwości kursowania, a dodatkowym istotnym czynnikiem może być także zróżnicowanie pojemności (pasażerskiej) pojazdów transportu zbiorowego – np. w przypadku uwzględnienia w modelach ruchu systemów transportowych o zróżnicowanych możliwościach przewozowych (kolej aglomeracyjna, metro, monorail).
The notion of modelling the effects of public transport capacity constraints has been investigated in numerous research works, yet its implementation in transit assignment approach remains rather limited – e.g. it has only been included in most recent versions of the PTV VISUM modelling software. This article presents results from sample macroscopic transport network models and highlights the arising differences at trip assignment stage (especially in terms of passenger flows) once implicit capacity constraints are taken into account. Based on these, we try to evaluate the credibility of assignment results, discuss further calibration works, as well as indicate fields for future research studies. Path choice algorithm in macroscopic assignment model is principally – as a default – a function of journey times and service frequencies, whereas the inclusion of line (service) capacity might have a notable effect on simulation output – especially when considering various public transport modes with distinct transportation capacities, i.e. mass transit (urban rail, underground) vs. feeder systems (light rail, monorail).
