The purpose of this article is to present the results of research on the directions of the development of integrated management information systems. The authors took especially into account the functionality of systems and technology solutions. The survey was sent to the leading MRPII/ERP producers on the Polish market. Findings allowed to identify future trends in the development of MRPII/ERP systems for the years 2013-2015: Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, access to the system through a web browser, management dashboards, Cloud Computing and virtualization of data, mobile technology and tools for business processes modeling in ERP systems.

Sektor MSP od lat należy do najdynamiczniej rozwijających się i informatyzujących obszarów polskiej gospodarki. Zaawansowane rozwiązania ICT (Information and Communication Technology) stanowią warunek sine qua non nowocześnie funkcjonujących przedsiębiorstw tego sektora i wpisują się w proces transformacji cyfrowej. W artykule omówiono aktualne tendencje rozwojowe w zakresie informatyzacji nowoczesnych przedsiębiorstw sektora MSP. Dokonano tego na bazie wyników badań własnych autora przeprowadzonych w okresie 2014–2016 w wybranych przedsiębiorstwach województw mazowieckiego i wielkopolskiego oraz odniesiono je do ogólnych tendencji rozwojowych w zakresie globalnej transformacji cyfrowej.
An active sector of small and medium enterprises (SME) in Poland is a prerequisite of a properly functioning market economy. This sector encompasses various companies. The ICT (Information and Communication Technology) can help even the odds. SMAC (social, mobile, analytics and cloud) is the concept that four technologies are currently driving business innovation. SMAC creates an ecosystem that allows a business to improve its operations and get closer to the customer with minimal overhead and maximum reach. We have conducted a questionnaire-based survey to identify how polish SMEs perceive this phenomenon of e-business systems in era of digital transformation.

This paper presented the results of an experimental study investigating the impact of clicker use through a smart phone application called Kahoot!. Despite positive results of clicker use in the existing General English literature, the impact of clicker use has not been examined in the field of ESP. To address this issue, this study investigated the effectiveness of clickers by comparing pre-test and post-test scores of a control and an experimental group and the scores of male and female participants in the experimental group. The results of a 10-week implementation of clicker use with the students of tourism and hospitality department in the experimental group indicated that while post-test scores were significantly higher for the experimental group than for the control group, there was not a statistically significant difference between the post-test scores of male and female participants in the experimental group. Implications for teaching ESP with the help of technology and suggestions for further research were also provided.

In the paper authors are introducing the concept of usage of physical orientation of a mobile device, calculated using built-in environmental sensors like accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer for detection of tilting gesture. This gesture is used as an acceptance factor for the two next probable word solutions suggested to the user during text input. By performing the device tilt, the first or second word is being automatically put into the desired text field and new prediction is performed. The text predictions are calculated and stored directly on the device to maintain privacy protection. The founding concept of the software is being presented, as well as initial considerations and further plans. This solution is recommended especially to smartphone manufacturers like Microsoft, Samsung and Apple to deploy in their latest models.
W artykule zaprezentowano koncepcję wykorzystania fizycznej orientacji urządzenia mobilnego, wyliczanej z wykorzystaniem wbudowanych czujników takich jak akcelerometr, żyroskop oraz kompas cyfrowy w celu wykrywania gestów wychylenia urządzenia. Taki gest wykorzystywany jest jako metoda akceptacji jednego z dwóch następnych prawdopodobnych słów podczas wprowadzania tekstu. Poprzez wykonanie gestu proponowane słowo jest automatycznie akceptowane i użytkownikowi prezentowana jest kolejna predykcja. Prawdopodobieństwa są wyliczane i przechowywane bezpośrednio na urządzeniu, w celu zapewnienia prywatności użytkownika. Podstawowa koncepcja oprogramowania jest zaprezentowana w artykule, jak również wstępne założenia i plany na przyszłość. Rozwiązanie jest szczególnie rekomendowane dla producentów smartfonów, jak firmy Microsoft, Samsung czy Apple, do wdrożenia w najnowszych modelach smartfonów.

Opis:
The scientific purpose of the paper is a discussion of the theoretical framework concerning new channels of business communications as well as the logic of mobile communications and its characteristic devices. Attention was paid to the multidimensionality of media convergence and to the mobile technology development. The cognitive purpose of the study is to characterise the selected tools and multimedia applications, to co-create content and conduct an interactive dialogue with customers using mobile technology. Then the study provides practical examples of how to use the potential of mobile technologies in business communication processes. The application of the empirical method of case studies has made it possible to characterise the essence of mobile technologies and to illustrate the studied phenomenon in business practice. The research findings confirm the significant impact of mobile technologies on social networks, communication strategies, and customer’s behaviour. The paper concludes with the practical recommendations and directions for a further research of future communication technologies. This is a research article.
Celem naukowym pracy jest dyskusja na temat teoretycznych aspektów w obszarze nowych kanałów komunikacji biznesowej, jak również zasadności prowadzenia komunikacji mobilnej i charakterystycznych dla niej urządzeń. Zwrócono uwagę na wielowymiarowość zjawiska konwergencji mediów i rozwój technologii mobilnej. Celem poznawczym pracy jest scharakteryzowanie wybranych narzędzi i rozwiązań multimedialnych, które służą współtworzeniu treści i prowadzeniu interaktywnego dialogu z klientami przez wykorzystanie technologii mobilnej. Przedstawiono praktyczne przykłady implementacji rozwiązań mobilnych w procesie komunikacji biznesowej. Zastosowanie metody badawczej studium przypadku pozwoliło na scharakteryzowanie istoty technologii mobilnych i zilustrowanie badanego zjawiska w rzeczywistości gospodarczej. Wyniki badań potwierdzają istotny wpływ technologii mobilnych na kształtowanie sieci społecznych, strategii komunikacji i zachowań klienta. W podsumowaniu wskazano zalecenia praktyczne i kierunki dalszych badań w zakresie przyszłych technologii komunikacyjnych. Artykuł ma charakter badawczy.
Научная цель разработки – дискуссия о теоретических аспектах в области новых каналов бизнес-коммуникации, а также о целесообразности осуществления мобильной коммуникации и характерных для нее устройств. Обратили внимание на многомерность явления конвергенции медиа и развития мобильной технологии. Познавательная цель работы – дать характеристику избранных инструментов и мультимедиальных решений, которые служат совместному созданию содержания и осуществлению интерактивного диалога с клиентами посредством использования мобильной технологии. Представили практические примеры внедрения мобильных решений в процессе бизнескоммуникации. Применение в качестве исследовательского метода анализа конкретного случая позволило дать характеристику сути мобильных техноло- гий и проиллюстрировать изучаемое явление в экономической действительности. Результаты изучения подтверждают существенное влияние мобильных технологий на формирование социальных сетей, стратегии коммуникации и поведения клиента. В подведении итогов указали практические рекомендации и направления дальнейших исследований в области будущих коммуникационных технологий. Статья имеет исследовательский характер.

Mobile solutions revolutionize healthcare systems as well as the way of management in this area. The complex and dynamic character of healthcare organizations requires a special kind of management in the areas of healthcare knowledge and electronic health records (EHRs). Mobile applications can be very useful and helpful in the terms of information providing, but their role is not limited to transferring it between the doctors, patients and managerial staff. In this paper the role of mobile applications in the work of health care professionals (HCPs) has been shown.This article highlights the role of mobile applications in facilitating HCPs’ work in the terms of time management and EHRs storage and management.
Rozwiązania mobilne są bardzo silnym trendem w systemach opieki zdrowotnej, jak i w zarządzania w tym obszarze. Złożony i dynamiczny charakter organizacji opieki zdrowotnej wymaga specjalnego rodzaju zarządzania w zakresie wiedzy medycznej i elektronicznych rejestrów medycznych. Aplikacje mobilne mogą być bardzo przydatne i pomocne w zakresie dostarczania informacji, ale ich rola nie ogranicza się do przenoszenia ich między lekarzy, pacjentami i personelem kierowniczym. W niniejszym artykule uwypuklono rolę aplikacji mobilnych w pracy pracowników służby zdrowia (HCPS), podkreślono rolę aplikacji mobilnych w ułatwianiu pracy pracownikom służby zdrowia w zakresie zarządzania czasem i EHRs przechowywania i zarządzania.

This text presents and discusses results of empirical research conducted during 3 school semesters (1.5 of school year) in a primary school in Poland. The research focused on the introduction of tablets (iPads) to didactic design and aimed at the observation of learning processes of the entire school community in connection with the appearance of a new educational actor. We used a qualitative research approach, mainly video-ethnography (60 hours of recorded material). This research approach resulted in the identification of maps of teaching and learning practices and their meanings in the changing school field.

The basics concepts of evolution in agents calculating are discovered in this work and are showed their directions and applications. Before explaining what is agent and its description, there were given a bit of its history and the difference between agents and programs. Were given basic types of agents on examples and figures. The main task of agents is to require a large number of interactions for which most mathematical modeling methods are unsuitable. Were analyzed agent systems architecture and a description of their main parts. Principles of work with mobile and intelligent agents are considered. Furthermore, were exemplify the reasons and situations of use either intelligent agents or mobile agents. Also, their examples were showed on different examples and figures. Technology and application tools which uses in the process are represented. Analysis of JADE-technology are carried out. On the market today there are analogues of JADE, but most of the systems are relatively new and require many improvements, some are under development prototypes. Also, were given description of main tools and features of JADE. It will help a lot in elaboration of agents. Advantages and disadvantages of using agent approach are showed for creating system of data processing and they show their versatility compared with other systems.

Our research note reports the results of a qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the pilot edition of the Coding Masters Junior program, conducted in 2015 by Centrum Cyfrowe: Projekt Polska. It focuses on the results of a semantic analysis for the keyword “tablet” of the IDIs conducted with parents of preschoolers. The analysis has shown, among others, that in many households tablet is seen as belonging to the domain of the child, its property (toy). At the same time, quantitative research reveals that in 26% of tablet-owning households the device is not made available to the child. This strong polarization of practices shows that tablets remain a terra incognita to a significant group of parents, one they often have no wish to explore.

Ponadto zwrócono uwagę na możliwości uruchomienia wielu obszarów przyszłych badań na Ukrainie i na świecie w dziedzinie technologii finansowej, które są obecnie bardzo obiecujące w branży bankowej.

Research background: With growing evidence of biometric identification techniques as authentication, there is a pivotal need for comprehending contactless payments by use of facial recognition algorithms in retail, restaurant, and hotel business models. Purpose of the article: In this research, previous findings were cumulated showing that harnessing facial recognition payment applications as software-based contactless biometric algorithms results in remarkably qualitative enhancement in purchasing experience. Methods: Throughout March and November 2021, a quantitative literature review of the Web of Science, Scopus, and ProQuest databases was carried out, with search terms including "facial recognition payment technology", "facial recognition payment system", "facial recognition payment application", "face recognition-based payment service", "facial authentication for mobile payment transactions", and "contactless payment through facial recognition algorithms". As the analyzed research was published between 2017 and 2021, only 187 articles satisfied the eligibility criteria. By removing questionable or unclear findings (limited/nonessential data), results unsubstantiated by replication, too general content, or having quite similar titles, 38, mainly empirical, sources were selected. The Systematic Review Data Repository was harnessed, a software program for the gathering, processing, and analysis of data for our systematic review. The quality of the selected scholarly sources was assessed by employing the Mixed Method Appraisal Tool. Findings & value added: Harnessing facial recognition payment applications as software-based contactless biometric algorithms results in remarkably qualitative enhancement in purchasing experience. Subsequent attention should be directed to whether perceived value and trust shape customers' adoption of biometric recognition payment devices.

Military vehicles and equipment should be designed with regard to ergonomics, which is important for the protection of the crew. Reliable protection can be achieved by constant technological progress and the improvement of materials, enabling resistance of an attack by mines and improvised explosive devices (IED) placed under the vehicle. The explosion of a device under a vehicle represents a great risk for its crew. This paper is about the protection systems that are using in the World and provide a comprehensive and effective protection of the vehicles. The mainly task of these systems is to safe the crew. The paper divides the protective anti-mine system into the external protection system and internal protection system. Each of these two basic groups is nearly specify in the text and there are also application examples for military mobile technology. In the end to sum the paper up there are some approaches to improvement of safety and protection of the vehicles.

Aktualnie trudno wyobrazić sobie świat bez użycia interaktywnych mediów. Dostęp do komputera, internetu, telefonii komórkowej, obejmującej swoim zasięgiem niemal całą kulę ziemską, mają nie tylko dorośli, ale także młodzież i coraz młodsze dzieci. Jaki wpływ na rozwój dziecka, układ nerwowy oraz jakie konsekwencje psychologiczne niosą za sobą nowoczesne środki przekazu medialnego? Znacznie ułatwiony dostęp do sprzętów elektronicznych emitujących pole elektromagnetyczne skłania nas do refleksji na temat jego wpływu na układ nerwowy i rozwijający się mózg. Żadne poprzednie pokolenie nie było narażone w dzieciństwie i w okresie dojrzewania na tak intensywne promieniowanie elektromagnetyczne. Autorzy niniejszego artykułu zdecydowali się na przegląd piśmiennictwa dotyczącego oddziaływania mediów elektronicznych na ośrodkowy układ nerwowy i ich wpływ na rozwój dzieci.
It is hard to imagine a contemporary world without interactive media. The use of digital technology has grown rapidly during the last couple of decades. Today, more and more young children have mobile phones, internet, computers. What influences children’s development, what are the psychological consequences of the use of modern media? How do electromagnetic fields affect the nervous system, developing brain? No previous generation has been exposed during childhood and adolescence to this kind of electromagnetic radiation. This paper reviews the impact of electronic media on the central nervous system and the child’s development.

Opis:
Integration of Information Communication Technology (ICT) products from different manufacturers to provide friendly support for patients and health professionals is a challenge for organizational, legal, and technological interoperability. To empowerment of patients over 65, it is necessary to support them with proper ICT tools. There are many technological solutions in e-Health sector, which do not support the patient’s complex needs and standards. The CareWell project adapted a formula based on the acquisition of commercial ready-made applications that support the functionality defined for patients, doctors, nurses and the Contact Centers (Call Centers). Lessons learned from the CareWell project phases from beginning of the business processes modeling with their modification for the project needs, as well as mapping of the available functionalities of selected IT platforms, work integration and implementation, are discussed in the paper.
Integracja produktów informatycznych pochodzących od różnych producentów w celu dostarczenia przyjaznych usług pacjentom i pracownikom ochrony zdrowia stanowi wyzwanie w zakresie rozwiązania problemów interoperacyjności organizacyjnej, prawnej i technologicznej. Aby pomóc pacjentom powyżej 65 roku życia, konieczne jest wsparcie ich potrzeb zdrowotnych technologiami ICT (ang. Information Communication Technology). Istnieje wiele rozwiązań technologicznych w sektorze e-Zdrowia, które jednak nie obsługują złożonych potrzeb z uwzględnieniem standardów. Project CareWell przyjął formułę realizacji opartą na nabyciu gotowych aplikacji, które pozwalają na realizacje zdefiniowanych funkcji do obsługi pacjentów, lekarzy i pielęgniarek oraz centrali kontaktowych call center. W pracy omówiono główne wnioski z realizacji poszczególnych faz projektu od początku zamodelowania procesów biznesowych, konieczną ich modyfikację dla potrzeb projektu, jak również mapowanie dostępnych funkcjonalności integrowanych wybranych platform IT.
