Opis:
A cell population model is constructed and analysed in the frameworkof general branching process theory. The model uses the idea that the DNA division cycle and the cell growth cycle are loosely coupled. The cell division is assumed to be unequal and the structure variables of the modelare size and growth, where the growth is regulated by supramitotic growth control. An explicit expression for the stable birth type distributionis given and asymptotics, such as the alpha- and beta_1-curve and various size distributions, are derived. We also prove that the microheterogeneity ingrowth causes the mother-daughter life length correlation to be non-negative.

Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie wyników weryfikacji efektów kształcenia w latach 2015-2021 w kontekście dyskusji na temat kierunków rozwoju dydaktyki matematyki na poziomie akademickim. Przedstawione wyniki dotyczą rozumienia przez studentów wybranych pojęć analizy matematycznej i ich użycia w analizie zjawisk ekonomiczno-społecznych. Przedstawione zostaną zastosowane metody i sformułowane wnioski związane z aktualnymi warunkami organizacyjno-dydaktycznymi oraz problemami wnikającymi z nauczania matematyki w szkołach średnich.
The aim of the article is to present the results of the verification of the learning outcomes in 2015-2021 in the context of the discussion on the directions of development of mathematics didactics at the academic level. The presented results concern students' understanding of selected concepts of mathematical analysis and their use in the analysis of economic and social phenomena. The methods used and conclusions related to the current organizational and didactic conditions as well as problems related to teaching mathematics in secondary schools will be presented.

As many people around the world, as many games does it exist. Asking few people what the term ‘game’ does mean, what kind of games do they know, we would become the same amount of answers. This suggests, that the term “game” is either well known, either good defined. However the field of science in games is evolving, new types of games come into existence, there is a lack of one game definition. To investigate this issue, I researched the evolution of primary game definition in math, through manager simulating games, strategy games up to the interactive games. This paper presents the overview of many games types that were created during the time.
Tyle ile ludzi jest na świecie, tyle istnieje gier. Gdyby zapytać, co oznacza sam termin „gra”, jakie są jej rodzaje, otrzymałoby się taką samą liczbę odpowiedzi jak liczba pytanych. To sugeruje, że samo sformułowanie „gry” nie jest ani dobrze znane, ani dobrze zdefiniowane. Pomimo tego iż na polu naukowym gry są rozwijane, powstają nowe ich typy, brakuje jednej konkretnej definicji gry. Aby zbadać tę kwestię, prześledziłem ewolucję terminu „gra” od podstawowej definicji matematycznej aż po gry menedżerskie, strategiczne i symulacyjne. W artykule zaprezentowano przegląd wielu typów gier, które powstały w ciągu lat.

The sequential method of integrating navigartional parameters obtained from non-simultaneous navigational measurements is presented. The proposed algorithm of position coordinates estimation is general and includes two modes of data processing - from simultaneous and non-simultaneous measurements. It can be used in hybrid receivers of radionavigation systems integrating non-homogeneous position lines or in integrated navigation systems, particulary in receivers combining the measurements of various satellite navigation systems.

An essential aspect of the safety of navigation is avoiding collisions with other vessels and natural or man made navigational obstructions. To solve this kind of problem the navigator relies on automatic anti-collision ARPA systems, or uses a geometric method and makes radar plots. In both cases radar measurements are made: bearing (or relative bearing) on the target position and distance, both naturally expressed in the polar coordinates system originating at the radar antenna. We first convert original measurements to an ortho-Cartesian coordinate system. Then we solve collision avoiding problems in rectangular planar coordinates, and the results are transformed to the polar coordinate system. This article presents a method for an analysis of a collision situation at sea performed directly in the polar coordinate system. This approach enables a simpler geometric interpretation of a collision situation.

In the general case measurements performed in navigation are those of position coordinates - points on the trajectory, and trajectory derivatives - speed vector and acceleration vector. Due to the occurrence of systematic and random errors, there is no full conformity of results obtained from measurements by various navigational instruments and systems in the mathematical model of the process of navigation, as well as in specific measurement models. This study attempts to compare trajectories, speeds and accelerations determined by different measurement tools (navigational equipment and systems). The results may be used in an analysis of measurement reliability and of the correct performance of navigational systems and equipment. A comparison of various sources of information also allows to detect and identify systematic errors, so that, consequently, mathematical models of specific phenomena and processes can be verified.
W nawigacji wykonywane są pomiary współrzędnych pozycji – punkty na trajektorii oraz pochodnych trajektorii – wektor prędkości i wektor przyspieszeń. Ze względu na pojawianie się błędów systematycznych i losowych, zarówno w modelu matematycznym procesu nawigacji, jak i w poszczególnych modelach pomiarowych, nie występuje pełna zgodność wyników pomiarów wykonywanych za pomocą różnych urządzeń i systemów nawigacyjnych. W prezentowanym artykule podjęto próbę porównania trajektorii, prędkości i przyspieszeń określonych różnymi narzędziami pomiarowymi (urządzeniami i systemami nawigacyjnymi). Wyniki mogą być wykorzystane w analizie wiarygodności pomiarów oraz poprawności pracy urządzeń i systemów nawigacyjnych. Porównanie różnych źródeł informacji umożliwia również wykrycie i identyfikację błędów systematycznych, a efektem tego może być weryfikacja modeli matematycznych poszczególnych zjawisk i procesów.

Based on a deep and extensive study of various "funds" of the Archive of Charles University, the Archive of the Czech Technical University in Prague, the National Archive of the Czech Republic, the Archive of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, the Prague City Archives and the State Archive of the German Republic, we are going to evaluate professional activities and personal life of Gerhard Hermann Waldemar Kowalewski (1876-1950), a famous German mathematician. We will mainly concentrate on his two Prague periods, 1909-1920 and 1939-1945, which has not been sufficiently covered and discussed in the literature.
W oparciu o pogłębione i obszerne analizy różnych zasobów archiwalnych Uniwersytetu Karola w Pradze, Archiwum Politechniki Czeskiej w Pradze, Archiwum Akademii Nauk Republiki Czeskiej, Archiwow Miejskich w Pradze i Panstwowego Archiwum Republiki Niemiec dokonujemy oceny działalności zawodowej i życia osobistego  Gerharda Hermanna Waldemara Kowalewskiego (1876-1950), słynnego matematyka niemieckiego. Szczególną uwagę poświęcamy dwóm okresom 1909-1920 i 1939-1945, które nie zostały dostatecznie przedstawione i omówione w literaturze.

Opis:
Sufficient conditions for the conditional stability of trivial solutions for quadratic systems of ordinary differential equations are obtained. These conditions are then used to design linear control laws on the output for a bilinear system of any order. In the case of a homogeneous system, a domain of the conditional stability is also indicated (it is a cone). Some examples are given.
