Opis:
FOMCON is a new fractional-order modeling and control toolbox for MATLAB. It offers a set of tools for researchers in the field of fractional-order control. In this paper, we present an overview of the toolbox, motivation for its development and relation to other toolboxes devoted to fractional calculus. We discuss all of the major modules of the FOMCON toolbox as well as relevant mathematical concepts. Three modules are presented. The main module is used for fractional-order system analysis. The identification module allows identifying a fractional system from either time or frequency domain data. The control module focuses on fractional-order FID controller design, tuning and optimization, but also has basic support for design of fractional lead-lag compensators and TID controllers. Finally, a Simulink blockset is presented. It allows more sophisticated modeling tasks to be carried out.

Opis:
In the paper, a new version of the Matlab toolbox for modeling and simulation of any mechanisms consisting of open kinematic chains is presented. This tool renders it possible to define any manipulator described by Denavit-Hartenberg parameters and then connect the mechanisms created in this way into one complex mechanism. The package can be used for a realistic visualization of robot motion necessary in research, didactic process or during design of a production cell. Available functions render it possible to show a realistic model of a mechanism based on both default and user defined appearance. The toolbox also provides a set of tools for performing simultaneous simulations of many robots and other objects in their workspace. An example illustrating new features of the toolbox, presenting modeling and motion simulating of human upper limb is also attached.

Opis:
The article presents selected results of research on the modeling of humanoid robots, including the results of neural modeling of human gait and its implementation in the environment MATLAB and Simulink with the use of Deep Learning Toolbox. The subject of the research was placed within the scope of the available literature on the subject. Then, appropriate research experiments on human movement along a given trajectory were developed. First, the method of measuring the parameters present in the experiment was established, i.e. input quantities (displacement of the left heel, displacement of the right heel) and output quantities (displacement of the measurement point of the human body in space). Then, research experiments were carried out, as a result of which numerical data were measured in order to use them for teaching and testing the Artificial Neural Network. The Perceptron Artificial Neural Network architecture was used to build a model of a neural human walk along a given trajectory. The obtained results were discussed and interpreted, drawing a number of important conclusions.

Opis:
Maps are very useful for understanding unknown places before visiting them as maps represent spatial relationships between various objects in a region. Using robots for map construction is an important field these days as robots can reach places which may be inaccessible to human beings. This paper presents a method to use the data obtained from a single ultrasonic sensor mounted on a robot, to construct a map and localize the robot within that map. Map of the previously unknown environment is created with the help of a mobile robot, built using Lego Mindstorms NXT assembled in a modified TriBot configuration. The robot is equipped with an ultrasonic sensor and is controlled from a computer system running a MATLAB program, which communicates with the NXT over a USB or Bluetooth connection and performs complex calculations that are not possible for the NXT itself. After the map construction, the robot finds its position in the map by using a particle filter. Implementation has been done in MATLAB programming environment using RWTH – Mindstorms NXT Toolbox and has been successfully tested for map construction of a room and localization within that room with the use of a TriBot.

Opis:
In this paper modelling and simulation of MEMS accelerometers in Matlab/SIMULINK environment are presented. Results of simulations of three different approaches: mathematical, electrical equivalent and physical models are compared with FEM accelerometer model created in COMSOL software. Results of simulations are analyzed for displacement response for two of the most popular spring geometries - folded and straight. Author takes into consideration crucial aspects of damping coefficients influence on accelerometer performance.

Opis:
This paper presents different models and results of simulations of MEMS vibrating gyroscope in Matlab/SIMULINK environment. Each model is created with different approach, using different blocks and different physics. Therefore author presents his proposal of mathematical, electrical equivalent and physical models. Results obtained from these models can give some hints regarding design and dimensions of some crucial parts of MEMS gyroscope. Here, decoupled vibrating sensor is considered, which minimize drive and sense motion mutual influence.

Opis:
The publication contains the results of research in the field of cluster analysis carried out using data quoted on the Day-Ahead Market of TGE S.A. Two methods were used in the analysis, one hierarchical known as the Ward’s method, and the other non-hierarchical - the k-means method. Many interesting research results have been obtained, which are illustrated, among others, in in the form of dendrograms, silhouette graphs and graphs in the form of clusters. Data on the volume and the volumeweighted average price of electricity were examined for various types of quotations: fixing 1, fixing 2 and continuous quotations. The research was carried out in the MATLAB and Simulink environments using a library called Machine and Statistics Learning Toolbox. Selected test results were interpreted.
