Opis:
The experiments were carried out in the years 2002 and 2003 on parsley seeds of 6 cultivars: Alba, Berlińska, Cukrowa, Kinga, Lenka, and Vistula. Mycological analysis of parsley seeds showed that the most common inhabitans were fungi from genus Alternaria (mainly A. alternata and A. radicina) and Fusarium, especially F. avenaceum and F. oxysporum. During the glasshouse investigations fungi Alternaria radicina, A. alternata and Fusarium avenaceum were the main reason for parsley damping-off. The highest number of infected seedlings was observed for Berlińska and Kinga, because in both years of experiments these cultivars had the lowest number of healthy seedlings. The highest number of healthy seedlings had cultivars Alba and Lenka, especially in the second year of experiments. In the field experiments not only fungi from genus Alternaria and Fusarium were the most often isolated from diseased parsley seedlings. Fusarium oxysporum was more often isolated from diseased field seedlings than from glasshouse parsley seedlings. Other fungies isolated often from parsley seedlings cultivated in the field were: Pythium spp., Rhizoctonia solani, Cylindrocarpon destructans and Stemphylium botryosum.
Badania przeprowadzono w latach 2002 i 2003 na sześciu odmianach pietruszki korzeniowej: Alba, Berlińska, Cukrowa, Kinga, Lenka i Vistula. Podczas analizy mikologicznej nasion stwierdzono, że najliczniej występującymi są grzyby z rodzaju Alternaria (głównie A. altrnata i A. radicina) oraz Fusarium (F. avenaceum i F. oxysporum). W doświadczeniach szklarniowych głównymi sprawcami zamierania siewek były grzyby: A. radicina, A. alternata oraz Fusarium avenaceum. Najsilniej porażone były siewki odmian Berlińska i Kinga. Najwięcej siewek zdrowych, zwłaszcza w drugim roku badań było w przypadku odmian Alba i Lenka. W doświadczeniach polowych z zamierających siewek izolowano obok grzybów z rodzajów Alternaria i Fusarium, także inne gatunki grzybów patogenicznych. Z siewek pobranych z pola uzyskano większą liczbę izolatów Fusarium oxysporum niż z siewek ze szklarni. Także dość licznie wystąpiły grzyby: Pythium spp., Rhizoctonia solani, Cylindrocarpon destructans i Stemphylium botryosum, które mogą być sprawcami zamierania siewek pietruszki.

Artykuł ma na celu przedstawienie roli kobiety w średniowieczu ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem działalności księżnej krakowsko-sandomierskiej Kingi (1234–1292) żony Bolesława Wstydliwego. Wyboru osoby Kingi — patronki Polski i Litwy, pani ziemi sądeckiej — dokonano niejako prowokacyjnie, aby pokazać, że w średniowieczu było miejsce dla kobiet nietuzinkowych, wychodzących poza wąskie ramy konwenansów epoki. Artykuł zbudowany jest z dwóch części: ogólnej, stanowiącej tło epoki i opisującej podstawowe zadania, jakich oczekiwano od średniowiecznej kobiety, a następnie bardziej szczegółowej, przedstawiającej działalność księżnej Kingi.
The paper aims at presenting the role of woman In the Middle Ages, paying special attention to activity of princess Kinga of Cracow-Sandomierz, wife of Bolesław the Shy. The choice of Kinga — the patron of Poland and Lithuania, Lady of Sącz land — is made provocatively to show that, in the Middle Ages, there was space for not commonplace women, extending beyond narrow convention frames of the epoch. The paper is composed of two parts: general, constituting the background for the epoch and describing the basic tasks women were expected to do, and the more detailed one, presenting the activity of princess Kinga.

Opis:
In order to measure the velocity of gas flow with a constant-resistance thermoanemometer, prior calibration of anemometer sensor wires is required. In this process three sensor-specific parameters of King’s equation are estimated. In the original form of the equation the parameters are not independent from each other. As has been demonstrated by Ligęza, it is possible to rewrite the equation in a dimensionless form, in which the parameters become independent. Here we provide an algorithm to derive the parameters from thermoanemometer measurements.
Przy wzorcowaniu sond termoanemometrycznych np. do pomiarów wentylacyjnych kopalni, często zachodzi konieczność wyznaczenia parametrów krzywych wzorcowania czujników a w szczególności wartości parametrów w równaniach (1) czy (2). W pracy przedstawiono nowe podejście do tego zagadnienia pozwalające na niezależne wyznaczenie wszystkich parametrów.

W artykule zaprezentowano inne podejście do tzw. prawa Kinga, które wiąże prąd Iw zasilający włókno anemometru cieplnego z jego rezystancją Rw, temperaturą włókna Tw, temperaturą napływającego medium Tg, prędkością medium v a także trzema parametrami a, b i n, które określa się w procesie wzorcowania sond. W artykule za Ligęzą [5] wprowadza się tzw. prąd normujący Ik oraz prędkość normującą vk, które jednak definiuje się odmiennie. Dzięki temu można wyznaczyć niezależnie wykładnik n.
The King's law describes heat losses of a thin heated wire in relation to the flow velocity and the type of flowing medium. This formula was derived under the following assumptions: the flow is potential, the flow velocity is uniform in the vicinity of the wire and the flowing medium does not change its composition and the physical properties regardless of the velocity and the temperature. Under the above conditions the asymptotic solution has a form: [wzór] Then, it turned out that the real characteristics of anemometers differed from the above relationship. Numerous authors modified Eq. 1 by introducing the term v0,5 instead of vn . The constant resistance anemometer can be described by Eq. 2. The dimension of term bvn is changeable since it depends on n, therefore parameters b and n cannot be determined unambiguously. Ligęza [5] proposed a solution to this problem by introducing the characteristic current Ik and the standard velocity vk. In such approach Eq. 2 takes the form of Eqs. 3 and 4. The author rewrote Eq. 3 to the form of Eq. 5, in which the values related to the current are on the left side and the values related to the velocity are on the right side. If the left side equals 1, the flow velocity v is equal to vk regardless of the value of exponent n. After logarithming Eq. 5. side by side we obtain the n(v) dependence.

Opis:
Celem artykułu jest próba oceny wpływu filtracji ekonomicznych szeregów czasowych na portrety fazowe ich składowych trendowych oraz cyklicznych. W zasadzie wszelkie przekształcenia szeregów czasowych związane z ich (szeregów) analizą, prognozowaniem, modelowaniem, sterowaniem itp. można potraktować jako filtrację. Filtry cyfrowe znajdują zastosowanie m.in. w ekonomii do wygładzania szeregów czasowych, usuwania niepożądanych wahań (sezonowych, przypadkowych, wysoko- lub niskoczęstościowych itp.), prognozowania i modelowania procesów ekonomicznych. Uzyskane wyniki pozwalają na sformułowanie odwrotnej zależności między wykładnikiem Hursta i występowaniem dominujących częstości we wszystkich badanych szeregach: wraz ze wzrostem wykładnika Hursta (lub ze zmniejszaniem się wymiaru fraktalnego) zanika wyraźna struktura harmoniczna. Przeprowadzone symulacje z filtracją szeregów czasowych potwierdzają tezę, że regularność przebiegów cyklicznych cechuje raczej układy antypersystentne, powracające do wartości średnich. W układach wzmacniających trendy (persystentnych) wyraźna regularność występuje rzadko. Portrety fazowe uzyskane w wyniku filtracji Hodricka-Prescotta i Kalmana są najbliższe portretom fazowym cyklu granicznego, charakterystycznego dla układów oscylujących wokół pewnego stanu równowagi. Przeprowadzone badanie wskazuje, że ekonomiczne szeregi czasowe są cyklami nieokresowymi, tzn. nie mają ściśle określonej skali czasowej i długości. Zastosowanie procedury filtracji pozwala wyjawić okresową, regularną naturę ekonomicznych szeregów czasowych. Najbardziej efektywne wydaje się zastosowanie filtra Hodricka-Prescotta i filtra Kalmana.
The article attempts to assess the impact of filtration of economic time series in order to draw up to phase portraits of their trend and cyclical components. In principle, all transformations of time series connected with their (i.e. transformations) analysis, forecasting, modelling, control and the like can be treated as filtration. Digital filters find their application, among others, in economics, for smoothing time series, removing undesirable seasonal variations, accidental, high or low frequency fluctuations and the like, and forecasting and the modelling of economic processes. Achieved results allow for formulating the opposite relation between the Hurst exponent and the appearance of dominating frequencies in all examined series: along with the height of the Hurst exponent (or with reduction of fractal dimension) a distinct harmonic structure fades out. Presented simulations with the filtration of time series confirm the thesis that the regularity of cyclical courses characterises rather antipersistent systems, and return to average values. In the systems amplifying trends (persistent systems) the distinct regularity rarely appears. Phase portraits obtained as a result of the Hodrick-Prescott filtration and that of Kalman are the closest for phase portraits of the limited cycle, characteristic of systems fluctuating around the certain steady-state. The conducted examination shows that economic time series are nonperiodic cycles, i.e. they do not have a closely determined temporary scale and length. Application of the procedure of filtration allows to reveal the periodic, regular nature of economic time series. The use of the Hodrick-Prescott filter and Kalman filter seems to be most effective.

The paper focuses on reconstruction of changes occurring on the surface in the vicinity of the Wieliczka’s Daniłowicz Shaft from the beginning of its operation in the 17th century until the present times. It shows changes in the vicinity of the facility constituting, at the present moment, the most recognizable part of the above-ground infrastructure of the mine and the main place where tourist trac in Wieliczka is concentrated. It presents facilities which exist in the area between Daniłowicza Street (from the east) and Matejki Street and Kinga’s shaft headroom (from the west) and within the borders of plots belonging to the Wieliczka Salt Mine and Cracow Saltworks Museum Wieliczka. It mentions a number of shaft-adjoining buildings, residential houses, an employee bathhouse (the so-called Saltworks Bathhouse), public toilets, green areas, landscape architecture, including the decorative fence from the side of Daniłowicza Street. The issue of foundation and development (since 1870) of the present-day Park of St. Kinga was brought to attention in the article. This landscape-type park, established by the saltworks company as a specic form of a patronage project, harmoniously combined various production, transport, residential and social functions. Open to the public, it has evolved towards a spa park model in relation to intense tourist trac and sanatorium activities. The article touches upon the contemporary conservation problems related to the complex of above-ground facilities, which should be carefully protected as integral elements of the cultural heritage of the historical salt mine in Wieliczka. Protection of cultural landscape of this type is a great challenge – in the past, several historical buildings were demolished and in place of the disassembled authentic building of the so-called Saltworks Bathhouse, a new structure was erected for hotel purposes, making references to the picturesque forms of architecture from the beginning of the 20th century.
