Opis:
Nowadays, the need for digitisation and digitalisation of enterprises, as well as the use of solutions based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), are coming to the fore. The use of intelligent systems in organisations is not a strictly technical issue, and is also important in the management of modern enterprises. The aim of this article is to provide a theoretical analysis of the phenomenon of Artificial Intelligence in management sciences by means of a systematic review of the literature using Scopus database records. Bibliographic analysis of Artificial Intelligence in management sciences in this article points to this topic as something relatively new in the case of management sciences, although rapidly developing. As part of the bibliographic analysis we propose an agenda regarding the issue of AI in management sciences, consisting of thematic clusters related to technologies based on and complementary to AI, the goals of using AI in organisations, human-AI relations and issues related to ethics and sustainable development.

Opis:
A scholarly assumption that relates to the non-stand-alone character of the category of accessibility, which is a certain normative abstract, was given the form of a research hypothesis. Confirmation or falsification of it will allow us to look at accessibility against the constitutionally determined human rights-related triad of values: human dignity, equality before the law and non-discrimination. This triad, in turn, will be given the status of an axiological ratio of introducing the category of accessibility, both to the multi-centric law system and to the on-going legal discourse on persons with special needs, including those with disabilities. Social determinants of accessibility in genere determine its legal essence. Therefore, striving to equip accessibility with the value of efficiency, would it be justified to place it within a normative framework of the right to accessibility if we were to find de lege lata reasons for it?
Naukowemu przypuszczeniu dotyczącemu niesamoistnego charakteru kategorii dostępności, będącej pewnym normatywnym abstraktem, nadano formę hipotezy badawczej. Jej konfirmacja bądź falsyfikacja umożliwi odniesienie dostępności do konstytucyjnie wyznaczonej prawno-człowieczej triady wartości – godności człowieka, równości wobec prawa i zakazu dyskryminacji. Triadzie tej nadany zaś zostanie status aksjologicznego ratio wprowadzenia kategorii dostępności, zarówno do multicentrycznego systemu prawa, jak i do toczącego się dyskursu prawnego, dotyczącego osób ze szczególnymi potrzebami, w tym z niepełnosprawnościami. Społeczne uwarunkowania dostępności in genere determinują bowiem jej prawną istotę. Czy dążąc zatem do wyposażenia dostępności w walor efektywności zasadnym jest ujmowanie jej w normatywne ramy prawa do dostępności, jeśliby de lege lata znaleźć ku temu podstawy?

Na przestrzeni lat Puszcza Piska nie pozostawała zupełnie bezludna i bezużyteczna. Ryby w licznych jeziorach, zwierzyna, pszczoły przyciągały nowych osadników. Przywilej na wolne rybołóstwo, myślistwo i bartnictwo osadzie przed krzyżackim zamkiem Johannisburg (Pisz) został nadany przez komtura bałgijskiego i wójta natangijskiego Ulricha Frickego 10 listopada 1367 roku. W niniejszej pracy scharakteryzowane zostały pozostałe regulacje prawne odnoszące się do wymienionych w tym przywileju form eksploatacji Puszczy Piskiej do 1945 roku. Ponadto zawiera ona opis konsekwencji wprowadzanych regulacji na życie mieszkańców tego kompleksu leśnego, oraz informacje m.in. o sprzętach używanych podczas połowów, administracji rybackiej i leśnej, czy dodatkowych obowiązkach mieszkańców dziczy podczas polowań.
Over the years, the Piska Forest has not been completely uninhabited and unusable. Fish in numerous lakes, game and bees attracted new settlers. The privileges for the residents of the settlement by the castle at Pisz providing the right to fish freely, maintain apiaries and hunt, presented by the commander of Balga and the Natangian advocate Ulryk Fricke on 10th November 1367. This paper discusses other legal regulations, in context of the mentioned privileges, regarding different forms of utilization of Piska Forest up to 1945. Furthermore, this paper describes how these legal changes influenced the local communities inhabiting this forest complex over the centuries. Additionally, it includes information about i.a. equipment used during fishing, fishery and forestry administration, or additional duties of residents during hunting.

In the article, a hierarchy of values set in keywords is presented using the example of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland and the Basic Law for the Federal Republic of Germany. The second objective is the practical verification of the research method using text word frequencies (tokens) and the so-called TTR (Type-Token-Ratio). Keywords are understood in their colloquial sense as conspicuous carriers of certain contents against the background of the text as a whole. Constitutions have a broad identity of function and form, contain a similar message, are similarly located in the legal order as a legal act of the highest rank, are characterised by a similar content structure and exhibit a high stylistic level in the field of legal language. It is thus investigated whether the aforementioned similarities also apply to the hierarchy of content implied in keywords. The investigation confirmed that differences in the form of government (Germany as a federal state, Poland as a unitary state) do not lead to clear differences at the level of keywords. However, the analysis revealed some limitations in the application of the corpus-based method.

Aim: Questionnaire research can be used as a teaching instrument and to measure the impacts of education for sustainable development. This paper presents a case study of a teaching intervention regarding students’ perception of operations and (supply) management fragilities, such as dependency on few customers or suppliers; difficult to find employees; and low probability, high impact events for business sustainability. The teaching intervention focused on side effects of innovations, leading to vulnerabilities that can threaten the existence of an enterprise. This research was carried out in the context of the capacity for creating an Early Warning System for small probability, high impact events. The following issues are addressed in the paper: 1). The impact of the teaching intervention on students’ perceptions; 2). Differences in perception between non-attending (N = 128) and attending students (pre-test N = 139; post-test N = 119). Design / Research methods: This paper discusses whether teaching interventions can influence the awareness of fragility issues as well as low probability, high impact events. The case-study is based on an experiment in a marketing course for management students of a large private business school in Wrocław (Poland) in April–May 2019. Before start of classes students filled out a questionnaire (Attending Students). A teaching intervention slide was used in every lecture. At the end of the course, all students (also the students absent during the first classes) filled out the repeat questionnaire. Statistical analysis was carried out whether there were differences between Attending Students filling out both questionnaires, and students only filling out the repeat questionnaire (Non Attending Students). Conclusions / findings: The findings show that students struggle to grasp the complexities and uncertainties surrounding sustainability and fragility issues in relation to the business context. The teaching interventions had limited impact on the ability of students to engage in these issues, albeit significant differences between attending and non-attending students were observed. A limitation of the results is that this study only concerned a case study of a specific group of students. An implication requiring deeper research is that while teachers can do in-depth exercises and provide lectures, a part of the students, being less motivated to obtain knowledge, is unlikely to grasp sustainability issues, when not included in assignments, examination preparation, or compulsory rather than elective courses. Cele: Wykorzystanie animowanych kreskówek to rozwijający się obszar w leczeniu bólu, jednak żadne badanie nie analizowało go jako cyfrowej platformy do rehabilitacji bólu w dolnym odcinku kręgosłupa (ang. low-back pain - LBP). Badanie to miało na celu opracowanie i ocenę wykonalności aplikacji do samoopieki opartej na animowanych kreskówkach (ang. Animated Cartoon-Based Self-Care - ACBSC) dla LBP oraz zbadanie korelacji pomiędzy poszczególnymi parametrami aplikacji a bólem odczuwanym przez pacjentów. Metody: To dwufazowe badanie obejmowało komponenty opracowania i testowania. Rozwój aplikacji ACBSC oparto na protokole Rozciągania Metodą Mechanicznej Diagnozy i Terapii Mckenzie’a (ang. Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy – MDT), oraz higienie pleców po standardowym procesie iteracji i prototypowania. Do fazy wykonalności włączono 28 kolejnych pacjentów z przewlekłym, niespecyficznym LBP z „preferencją kierunku” do rozciągania w oparciu o algorytm przesiewowy MDT. Uczestnicy korzystali z aplikacji opartej na kreskówkach 3 razy w tygodniu przez dwa tygodnie. Wyniki zostały ocenione pod kątem użyteczności, satysfakcji i doświadczenia użytkownika za pomocą skali użyteczności systemu oraz skali ocen aplikacji mobilnych. Do oceny natężenia bólu uczestników zastosowano poczwórną wizualną skalę analogową (ang. Quadruple Visual Analogue Scale - QVAS). Wyniki: Na ujednoliconej skali do 20, funkcjonalność (15,4 ± 2,41) i estetyka (14 ± 2,00) miały najwyższą i najmniej obiektywną ocenę jakości parametrów aplikacji. Całkowita obiektywna i subiektywna ocena jakości aplikacji wyniosła odpowiednio 16,9 ± 1,97 i 15,6 ± 2,42. Całkowity wynik oceny wpływu i użyteczności wyniósł 24,1 ± 3,39 (na 30) i 27,8 ± 3,09 (na 50). Uczestnicy zgłaszali, że aplikacja do pielęgnacji pleców wpływa głównie na uważność/medytację/relaks (42,9%), zwiększa uczucie szczęścia/dobrego samopoczucia (46,4%), prowadzi do zmian zachowania (60,7%) i jest ukierunkowana na zdrowie fizyczne (100%). Nie było istotnej korelacji między charakterystyką bólu uczestników a parametrami oceny aplikacji (p>0,05). Wnioski: Animowana, oparta na kreskówce aplikacja do samoopieki LBP ma umiarkowaną lub wysoką użyteczność, funkcjonalność, estetykę i ocenę jakości oraz może służyć jako skuteczna aplikacja mobilna do samodzielnego radzenia sobie z długoterminowym LBP.
Objectives: The use of animated cartoons for pain management is an emerging area, however, in no study has it been explored as a digital platform for the rehabilitation of low-back pain (LBP). This study was aimed to develop and evaluate the feasibility of an animated cartoon-based self-care (ACBSC) app for LBP, and to examine the correlation between the app rating parameters and patients’ pain. Methods: This 2-phase study comprised development and feasibility testing components. Development of the ACBSC app was based on Mckenzie’s Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) extension protocol plus back hygiene following standard iteration and prototyping process. Twenty-eight consecutive patients with chronic non-specific LBP with ‘direction Preference’ for extension based on the MDT screening algorithm participated in the feasibility phase. The participants utilised the cartoon-based app thrice weekly for 2 weeks. Outcomes were assessed in terms of usability, satisfaction and user experience applying the system usability and mobile application rating scales. The Quadruple Visual Analogue Scale (QVAS) was used to assess the participants’ pain intensity. Results: On a unified scale up to 20, functionality (15.4 ± 2.41) and aesthetics 14 ± 2.00 had highest and least objective quality rating on the app parameters. Total objective and subjective quality rating of the app was 16.9 ± 1.97 and 15.6 ± 2.42, respectively. The total impact and usability scores were 24.1 ± 3.39 (out of 30) and 27.8 ± 3.09 (out of 50). Participants reported that the cartoon app for back care mostly affected mindfulness/meditation/relaxation (42.9%), increasing happiness/ well-being (46.4%), leading to behavioural changes (60.7%), while targeting physical health (100%). There was no significant correlation between participants’ pain characteristics and app rating parameters (p>0.05). Conclusion: The animated cartoon-based self-care LBP app has moderate to high usability, functionality, aesthetics and quality rating, and may serve as an effective mobile-app for self-management of long-term LBP.

Zaburzenia ze spektrum autyzmu (autism spectrum disorders, ASD) obecnie diagnozowane są coraz częściej. Niezależnie od przyczyn wyjaśniających dane zjawisko zagadnienie to dotyczy coraz większej liczby rodzin. Ostatnie dekady przyniosły imponujący wzrost liczby badań obejmujących liczne wątki tematyczne w tym dotyczące rodzicielstwa a ich wyniki wskazują, że skutki posiadania dziecka z ASD podobnie jak samo zaburzenie są wieloaspektowe, złożone i obciążające, wpływając na wszystkie obszary funkcjonowania rodziców i rodziny. Na tle ogólnej liczby badań nad rodzicielstwem niewiele jest tych, które podmiotem swoich dociekań uczyniły ojców dzieci z ASD. Artykuł przedstawia przegląd wyników badań skoncentrowanych na doświadczeniach rodziców w tym na doświadczeniach ojców.
Nowadays, autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are diagnosed with increasing frequency. Regardless of the reasons that explain the phenomenon, more and more families are affected. Recent decades have seen an impressive increase in the number of studies covering a wide range of connected topics, including parenting. The results of ongoing research indicate that the effects of having a child with ASD – just like the disorder itself – are multifaceted, complex, and debilitating, affecting all areas in which parents and families function. Against the background of the global number of studies on parenting, there are only few that have focused on fathers of children with ASD as the subject of their inquiry. This article presents an overview of research findings focused on the experiences of parents, including the experiences of fathers.

This paper presents increased frequency of vocabulary related to climate and health in public discourse and the position of this vocabulary in Polish and foreign word of the year contests. The fi rst part of the text discusses the notion of keywords, methods of their distinction, and word frequency monitoring works at the University of Warsaw. These works are composed of: 1) monitoring of the frequency of the vocabulary in daily newspapers against a comparable corpus covering 12 months, 2) selection of the word of the month from the most frequent words and describing it in philological terms, 3) word of the year contests using the most frequent words as propositions. The second part of the paper presents individual words from the lexical fi eld of climate selected as words of the month and of the year, such as upał (heat), nawałnica (a storm), smog (smog), drzewo (a tree), puszcza (a forest), klimat (climate). Part three demonstrates words from this lexical fi eld in Polish and foreign word of the year contests. The discussed lexical fi eld was divided into working categories: 1) “What the nature can do to a human being”, e.g. nawałnica (a storm), smog (smog), and 2) “What a human being does to the nature”, e.g. drzewo (a tree), puszcza (a forest) (tree cutting in a forest), klimat (climate) (climate change). The latter category gathers words with a greater symbolic power, more abstract, more appropriate as keywords in the long run.

Celem artykułu jest pokazanie wstępnej koncepcji systemu wspomagania podejmowania decyzji inwestycyjnych na podstawie zintegrowanej analizy kosztów i wielkości śladu węglowego w całym cyklu życia budynku. Koncepcja proponowana przez autorów dotyczy zintegrowanej analizy kosztów (LCC) oraz śladu węglowego w cyklu życia budynku (LCCF), reprezentującego wpływ na środowisko. Dokonano także analizy map bibliometrycznych otrzymanych w programie VOSviewer dotyczących problematyki śladu węglowego w budownictwie.
The aim of this article is to present the initial concept of an investment decision support system based on an integrated cost and carbon footprint analysis throughout the building’s life cycle. The concept proposed by the authors concerns integrated cost analysis (LCC) and the carbon footprint in the life cycle of a building (LCCF), representing the impact on the environment. An analysis of bibliometric maps obtained in the VOSviewer program concerning the problems of the carbon footprint in construction was also performed.

Opis:
Celem artykułu jest pokazanie wstępnej koncepcji systemu wspomagania podejmowania decyzji inwestycyjnych na podstawie zintegrowanej analizy kosztów i wielkości śladu węglowego w całym cyklu życia budynku. Koncepcja proponowana przez autorów dotyczy zintegrowanej analizy kosztów (LCC) oraz śladu węglowego w cyklu życia budynku (LCCF), reprezentującego wpływ na środowisko. Dokonano także analizy map bibliometrycznych otrzymanych w programie VOSviewer dotyczących problematyki śladu węglowego w budownictwie.
The aim of this article is to present the initial concept of an investment decision support system based on an integrated cost and carbon footprint analysis throughout the building’s life cycle. The concept proposed by the authors concerns integrated cost analysis (LCC) and the carbon footprint in the life cycle of a building (LCCF), representing the impact on the environment. An analysis of bibliometric maps obtained in the VOSviewer program concerning the problems of the carbon footprint in construction was also performed.

The article defines a crisis in relations to faith and describes its consequences. The article also shows: reasons why people decide to leave the Church, reasons for changing denomination, as well as the paths to conversion.

W artykule autorki poszukują odpowiedzi na postawione pytania w ramach realizowanego przez siebie ogólnopolskiego projektu. Projekt realizowany był w dwóch edycjach (w 2017 i 2019 r.). Badania były przeprowadzane dwukrotnie na całej populacji dzielnicowych w Polsce. Projekt był elementem kampanii prowadzonej pod patronatem MSWiA pt. „Dzielnicowy bliżej Nas” i zakładał promocję nowej formuły pełnienia służby dzielnicowych. Autorki promują koncepcję dzielnicowego streetworkera. W artykule odpowiadają między innymi na pytania czy rolą dzielnicowego powinno być realizowanie zadań w zakresie profilaktyki społecznej oraz jakie czynniki utrudniają dzielnicowym pracę w zakresie profilaktyki społecznej.
In this article, the authors search for an answer to the question as part of a nationwide project which is being implemented. The project was introduced in two editions (2017 and 2019 years). The research was carried out on the entire population of districts in Poland. The project was part of the campaign conducted under the patronage of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration, entitled “Dzielnicowy bliżej Nas”. It assumed the promotion of a new formula of performing district service. The authors promote the concept of a district street worker. In the article, they answer, among others, whether the role of the district head should be to carry out tasks in the field of social prevention and what factors make it difficult for district workers to work in the area of social prevention.

This paper is dedicated to the lexical issues of the Polish language of the interwar period approached from the angle of language ethics. It represents the stream of structuralist research and has been prepared in accordance with the synchronic method. The author concentrates on describing selected aspects of the language of newspaper headlines. The object of the research paper is the lexical corpus of 106 issues representing 5 annals of a radical antisemitic weekly titled „Pod Pręgierz” (“In the Pillory”). The outcome of the performed analysis of the vocabulary of headlines has shown that the dominance of the lexical linguistic measures which negatively evaluate the Jewish community fully fits the lexis of „Pod Pręgierz” into the phenomenon of language aggression.

Opis:
Aim. The aim of the article is devoted to the research of chaplaincy institutes in Ukraine, taking into account the experience of EU countries. Concept. During the study determined, that the interaction between military service and religion is based on a universal socio-cultural tradition, has a complex, multi-level structure, covering the whole socio-institutional level (society - social institutions - social organizations of the individual) and leads to the creation of a specific social structure - military-religious institute the institute of military chaplaincy. Conclusions. It is found that there are no historical analogies in the world for the creation of a military chaplaincy institute under such conditions, which makes the present Ukraine experience unique, but to this day the issue of state regulation in the field of pastoral care of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the creation of a military chaplaincy institute remains unregulated. In contrast to Ukraine, the legal support for the existence of an institute of military chaplaincy in Poland is provided by the relevant state normative-legal acts and by-church documents. Most European countries have the opportunity to serve for both military and civilian chaplains. Due to the analysis of legal acts and experience of European countries it should be determined that Ukraine chooses the "European" model of chaplaincy. The article also identifies the positive aspects of the organizational experience of military chaplaincy as to possible borrowing for Ukraine. The notion of a chaplain-volunteer is typical of Ukrainian legislation.
