    The text is more like a supplement, complementary material to the research on the Podhale religious culture. I also use another designation of the word ‘supplement’ – I treat my reflections as material updating the dynamically changing content and form of Podhale religiousness. The subjects of analysis include new shepherd celebrations, the Holy Communion of Holy Thursday, seasonal masses at cemeteries, common gatherings before a funeral, wreaths for late maidens and bachelors, new rituals of Good Friday. These customs belong to the so-called vernacular religion that puts emphasis on relations between religion and life, practice, experience and also on the local, cultural context of tradition.

    Opis:
    The term “experience” is an ambiguous concept, both in the colloquial and scholarly language. One of the kinds of experience is religious experience that consists in man's immediate contact with religious reality. Understanding, feeling, intuition and personal, independent encounter with sacrum are essential elements of this experience. Sociologists distinguish several indexes of religious experience: feeling of nearness of God, emotional attachment to the Supreme Being, meaning of life, sense of security, aid in everyday life, aid in difficult situations, aid in the final hour of life. In the present article religious experience is analyzed with respect to the characteristics of the period of adulthood. It is the period of life that is interesting not only from the point of view of psychology, but also of religion and spirituality. It is in this period that we witness ultimate formation of one's identity, of integration of one's real and ideal ego, of a mature personality and of mature religiousness. Hence, it may be said that the quality and intensity of religious experience in this developmental period is especially interesting. The final part of the article has an empirical character, as it concerns studies of parents of children who are preparing for their First Holy Communion. It is worth stressing that this pastoral situation has a great significance not only for the children's religious life, but also for that of their parents'.

    The text entitled, “Liturgy of the Sacrificial Feast – the Communion with Christ and Brothers” presents an analysis of prayers and acts found in the Rite of Communion or that part of the Holy Mass which is leading from Our Father until after the Holy Communion Prayer. These Rites are imbued with the meanings connected with union with Christ, peace and union with our brothers. They allow the faithful to participate in God through the Divine Union with Him. In addition they expound the social dimension as the very word explains, that is “communio”. Separate elements of these rites represent as if steps, phases of this Communion.

    Tematem artykułu jest krytyczna prezentacja przemówienia kardynała Waltera Kaspera wygłoszonego podczas konsystorza kardynałów w lutym 2014, którego celem było przygotowanie Synodu Biskupów dotyczącego „Wyzwań duszpasterskich związanych z rodziną w kontekście ewangelizacji”. Z kilku ważnych wątków podjętych przez Kaspera, które wpłynęły w decydujący sposób na dyskusję synodalną, wybrany został jego postulat zmiany praktyki Kościoła w dziedzinie dopuszczania do komunii osób rozwiedzionych i znajdujących się w powtórnych związkach. Argumentacja Kaspera została skonfrontowana z poglądami Josepha Ratzingera w tej dziedzinie, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem ich ewolucji w latach 1972- 2005.
    The subject of the article is a critical presentation of Cardinal Walter Kasper's speech delivered at the Cardinal Consistory in February 2014, with the aim of preparing the Synod of Bishops on “The Pastoral Challenges of the Family in the Context of the Evangelization”. From several of Kasper's important themes, which have influenced decisively the synodal discussion, this article chooses his postulate of changing the practice of the Church in the field of access to Eucharistic communion for the divorced and remarried people. Kasper's argument was confronted with Joseph Ratzinger's views in this field, with particular emphasis on their evolution in 1972-2005.
