    In 1969, Polish mathematician and logician, Alfred Tarski asked ifall the identities true in the set of natural numbers involving the constant 1,addition, multiplication, and exponentiation can be derived from the elevenaxioms that are taught at the high school level (High School Identities). In1981 Alex Wilkie negatively solved this problem by constructing an identitythat cannot be proved using these axioms. In this paper we survey resultsconnected with Tarski’s problem.

    Opis:
    An attempt was made to determine fire selectivity for different vegetation classes and habitat conditions using the HSI (Habitat Suitability Index) model. This is an example of expert model based on theoretical knowledge and experience of researchers. HSI analyses were originally designed to study animal habitat preferences. The assessment of inherent differences in the flammability of the selected fragments of forest stands was carried out on the basis of the derivative vector layers and raster images. The obtained results show fuel characteristics of the forest environment and the theoretical paths of fire spread preferences.

    The paper presents the results of a numerical simulation of the flow and acoustic field generated by the PZL W3-A “Sokół” (Falcon) helicopter main roto in high-speed forward flight conditions based on the URANS approach and the chimera overlapping grids technique. A refined CFD model (40+ million of control volumes, 600+ blocks chimera mesh) was designed to resolve the flow-field together with the low-frequency content of the acoustic pressure spectrum in the near-field of the rotor blades to allow high-speed impulsive (HSI) noise prediction. Detailed 3D data was recorded for one rotor revolution (approx. 3 TB) allowing exceptional insight into the physical mechanisms initiating the occurrence and development of the HSI noise phenomenon.

    Opis:
    On the basis of term values (12 UTC) of meteorological data of seven synoptic stations in the central-west Poland heat stress index (HSI - Heat Stress Index) was calculated. During the year the heat stress of varying intensity occurred from February to November with a maximum in August. The rest of the year was dominated by thermoneutral conditions. In the period 1971-2006, and especially since 1999, becoming more frequent of occurrence days with an intensity of heat stress was so great, that pose a risk increase in body temperature (HSI > 100%). Based on the frequency of the occurrence of days with values HSI > 30% in the central-west Polad three areas with different number of days chargeable was distinguished.

    W artykule zarysowano problematykę robotyzacji małych przedsiębiorstw, w szczególności aspekt robotyzacji z uwzględnieniem robotów współpracujących. Szeroko omówiono zagadnienie robotów współpracujących oraz bezpieczeństwa człowieka podczas takiej współpracy. Przedstawiono również najbardziej popularne systemy bezpieczeństwa w odniesieniu do obowiązujących norm. W głównej części artykułu przedstawiono Cooperating Automaton System with Stereovision Invigilating the Environment (CASSIE), system dedykowany do monitorowania bezpieczeństwa robotów kooperacyjnych za pomocą multimodalnych sensorów głębi. Ukazano również efekt działania takiego systemu.
    This article outlines the problems of robotization in small production enterprises, in particular the aspect of their robotization with colaborating robots. The issue of cobots, especially the human security aspect in such a cooperation has been presented. The most popular safety systems in relation to applicable standards has been also presented. The main part of the article shows the Cooperating Automaton System with Stereovision Invigilating the Environment (CASSIE), a system dedicated for safety monitoring of cobot environment using multimodal depth sensors. The effect of such a system has also been shown.

    Present paper is a continuation of works on evaluation of red, green, blue (RGB) to hue, saturation, intensity (HSI) colour space transformation in regard to digital image processing application in optical measurements methods. HSI colour space seems to be the most suitable domain for engineering applications due to its immunity to non-uniform lightning. Previous stages referred to the analysis of various RGB to HSI colour space transformations equivalence and programming platform configuration influence on the algorithms execution. The main purpose of this step is to understand the influence of computer processor architecture on the computing time, since analysis of images requires considerable computer resources. The technical development of computer components is very fast and selection of particular processor architecture can be an advantage for fastening the image analysis and then the measurements results. In this paper the colour space transformation algorithms, their complexity and execution time are discussed. The most common algorithms were compared with the authors own one. Computing time was considered as the main criterion taking into account a technical advancement of two computer processor architectures. It was shown that proposed algorithm was characterized by shorter execution time than in reported previously results.
