Opis:: This article is an attempt at creating the outline of the theory of messianism, that would cover both the various versions of Jewish Messianic, Christian, and Islamic, as well as secular. I propose to think of messianism as a transcendental field of origin, therefore as a machine in the sense proposed by Deleuze. This theory reveals the weak points of contemporary Polish Messianic thought, represented by Pawel Rojek and his book Liturgia dziejów.
Artykuł jest próbą stworzenia zarysu teorii mesjanizmu, która obejmowałaby zarówno rozmaite wersje żydowskich mesjanizmów, chrześcijańskich i islamskich, jak i świeckich. Proponuję pomyśleć mesjanizm jako transcendentalne pole genezy, a więc jako maszynę w rozumieniu zaproponowanym przez Deleuze’a. Taka teoria ujawnia słabe punkty polskiej współczesnej myśli mesjańskiej, której reprezentantem jest Paweł Rojek.

Opis:: The article analyzes Gershom Scholem’s kabbalistic philosophy through the notionof nothingness, being a crucial notion of Jewish kabbalah. I argue that Scholem’s thoughtmight be called the “two dimensions of nothingness” which correspond to the concepts ofcreation and revelation. I analyze the nothingness of creation against the backgroundof the Lurianic kabbalah whereas the nothingness of revelation is analyzed through theprism of Franz Kafka’s literature. The result of the analysis is the original interpretation ofScholem’s thought, in which nothingness fails to connote nihilism, having instead a substantialpotential of productivity.
Artykuł jest próbą analizy kabalistycznej filozofii Gershoma Scholema w kontekście pojęcia nicości, które odgrywa w żydowskiej kabale kluczową rolę. Stawiam tezę, że myśl Scholema można określić mianem „dwóch wymiarów nicości”, odpowiadających pojęciom stworzenia i objawienia. Koncepcję nicości stworzenia omawiam na podstawie kabały Luriańskiej, będącej dla Scholema jednym z głównych źródeł inspiracji, zaś nicość objawienia odczytuję przez pryzmat twórczości Franza Kafki, której Scholem również poświęcił wiele uwagi. Pozwala to na oryginalną interpretację myśli Scholema, w której nicość nie konotuje nihilizmu, lecz zdradza znaczący potencjał produktywności.

Opis:: This article presents the radical wing of sabbataism (sabbatianism) – the messianic-mystical movement of heterodox Judaism which arose in the 17th century and flourished in the Ottoman Empire, founded by Sabbatai Zevi. This is done according to the works of Gershom Scholem and from the point of view of the ethical principles in their dimension directed to sexual life which the sabbataistic extremists, mainly from the Dönmeh group, had chosen as binding and obligatory ones. The distinctive feature of these directives compared to conventionally dominant ones was their “upturned” character. Therefore, the article will discuss the antinomism of which – as a tendency being opposed to the normative comprehension of the rules, established here by the Jewish law (nomos) on the basis of the Torah – the radical ma’aminim are an exemplification. Nevertheless, this sabbataistic reversal in the formulation of the issues concerning carnality reveals the profound doctrinal base in the form of the kabbalistic writings and on their pages introduced mystical conceptual categories (taken up in the present article) – the groundwork from which is determined by the dichotomy Torah de-’Atzilut–Torah de-Beri’ah – and to which the sabbataists attributed the peculiar “upturned” modus of interpretation.
