In this paper, we consider, and make precise, a certain extension of the Radon–Nikodym derivative operator, to functions which are additive, but not necessarily sigma-additive, on a subset of a given sigma-algebra. We give applications to probability theory; in particular, to the study of μ-Brownian motion, to stochastic calculus via generalized Itô-integrals, and their adjoints (in the form of generalized stochastic derivatives), to systems of transition probability operators indexed by families of measures μ, and to adjoints of composition operators.

We focus on a specific sub-model of the proposed family that we call the new half logistic-Fréchet. This sub-model stems from a new generalisation of the half-logistic distribution which we call the new half-logistic-G. The novelty of proposing this new family is that it does not include any additional parameters and instead relies on the baseline parameter. Standard statistical formulas are used to show the forms of the density and failure rate functions, ordinary and incomplete moments with generating functions, and random variate generation. The maximum likelihood estimation procedure is used to estimate the set of parameters. We conduct a simulation analysis to ensure that our calculations are converging with lower mean square error and biases. We use three real-life data sets to equate our model to well-established existing models. The proposed model outperforms the well-established four parameters beta Fréchet and exponentiated generalized Fréchet for some real- -life results, with three parameters such as half-logistic Fréchet, exponentiated Fréchet, Zografos–Balakrishnan gamma Fréchet, Topp–Leonne Fréchet, and Marshall–Olkin Fréchet and two-parameter classical Fréchet distribution.

Opis:
The generalized Korteweg-de Varies-Zakharov-Kuznetsov equation (gKdV-ZK) in (3+1)-dimension has been investigated in this research. This model is used to elucidate how a magnetic field affects the weak ion-acoustic wave in the field of plasma physics. To deftly analyze the wide range of wave structures, we utilized the modified extended tanh and the extended rational sinh-cosh methods. Hyperbolic, periodic, and travelling wave solutions are presented as the results. Consequently, solitary wave solutions are also attained. This study shows that the solutions reported here are distinctive when our findings are contrasted against well-known outcomes. Moreover, realized findings are figured out in 3-dimensional, 2-dimensional, and contour profile graphs for the reader to comprehend their dynamics due to parameter selection. According to the findings, we can conclude that the suggested computational techniques are simple, dynamic, and well-organized. These methods are very functional for numerical calculations of complex nonlinear problems. Our results include a fundamental starting point in understanding physical behavior and the structure of the studied systems.

Opis:
Eurocode standard recommends using fundamental basic wind velocity (characteristic velocity) as the design value in civil engineering. There are different approaches to estimate this value depending on the climate features of the given area and the quality of environmental data. The estimation of the characteristic value requires statistical analysis of historical data regarding wind velocities measured throughout the country at meteorological stations. The results of the analysis are probability density distributions of this random variable for each meteorological station. On this basis, values of characteristic wind velocity with a mean return period of 50 years are determined. The zones with uniform velocities are delineated on the map of the country. In the case of Poland the last evaluation of wind zones took place over 15 years ago. Higher quality of measurement data on the one hand, and the introduction of the second generation of Eurocode standards on the other hand, create a need to check and update these zones. This work presents theoretical basis for the estimation of characteristic values of random variables in the context of wind velocity, comprehensively reviews practical methods used for this purpose and summarizes current situation in Poland, finally discusses the issues related to the heterogeneity of wind data, illustrating them with an example.

In this paper we propose a new mathematical model describing the deformations of an isotropic nonlinear elastic body with variable exponent in dynamic regime. We assume that the stress tensor σp(·) has the form $ σ^{p(·)}(u) =(2μ + |d(u)|^{p(·)−2}) d(u) + λTr (d(u)) I_3, $ where u is the displacement field, μ, λ are the given coefficients d(·) and I3 are the deformation tensor and the unit tensor, respectively. By using the Faedo-Galerkin techniques and a compactness result we prove the existence of the weak solutions, then we study the asymptotic behaviour stability of the solutions.

Generalized observers are proposed to relax the existing conditions required to design Luenberger observers for rectangular linear descriptor systems with unknown inputs. The current work is focused on designing index one generalized observers, which can be naturally extended to higher indexes. Sufficient conditions in terms of system operators for the existence of generalized observers are given and proved. Orthogonal transformations are used to derive the results. A physical model is presented to show the usefulness of the proposed theory.

This paper presents the framework of the Generalized Autoregressive Score (GAS) model with a variety of symmetric conditional densities of different time-varying hyperparameters. The distinctive trait and goal of the observation-driven GAS model is to use its score and information functions as the compeller of time-variation via hyper-parameters of conditional densities. 10 robust hyper-parametric conditional densities were used as random error drivers for the GAS model with an application to the price of the United States cooking gas in the period between 2005 and 2020. Out of the 10 robust hyper-parametric conditional noises for the GAS model, the Asymmetric Student–t with one tail decay parameter (AST1) outperformed other categories of its variants and other conditional densities subjected to the GAS model, achieving a minimum reduced-error performance of AIC=11943.277 and BIC=12014.525. The hyper-parametric model obtained a location score and scale score of - 1.2634 and 0.6636, respectively, while its location information and scale information was 0.2691 and 0.0362, respectively. Furthermore, the GAS model via AST1 proved more efficient than the core volatile conditional heteroscedasticity model of the Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity (GARCH) at GARCH (1,1) via a Gaussian distributed noise.

In the paper finite-dimensional semilinear dynamical control systems described by fractional-order state equations with the Hilfer fractional derivative are discussed. The formula for a solution of the considered systems is presented and derived using the Laplace transform. Bounded nonlinear function f depending on a state and controls is used. New sufficient conditions for controllability without constraints are formulated and proved using Rothe’s fixed point theorem and the generalized Darbo fixed point theorem. Moreover, the stability property is used to formulate constrained controllability criteria. An illustrative example is presented to give the reader an idea of the theoretical results obtained. A transient process in an electrical circuit described by a system of Hilfer type fractional differential equations is proposed as a possible application of the study.

Objectives The COVID-19 outbreak is an example of a crisis that triggered an increase in generalized anxiety disorder. The study aims to validate the Polish version of the Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item scale (GAD-7) by Spitzer et al. among a non-clinical sample of employees and examine the invariance depending on the gender and age of working adults. Material and Methods For assessing factor structure of the Polish version of the GAD-7, the data were collected from a sample of 821 adults employed in 4 economic sectors (health care, education, IT, public administration) during the initial phase of the COVID-19 pandemic in Poland (April 10–May 24, 2020). Due to differences in the severity of GAD symptoms across gender and age groups, the measurement invariance in these groups was tested. Results The results of a series of confirmatory factor analyses confirmed the unidimensionality of the GAD-7. The values of the composite reliability index and Cronbach’s α showed that it is a reliable tool. The GAD levels demonstrated strong relationships with professional burnout, psychological distress, and psychological complaints. These relationships were stronger than the relationships between these factors and job satisfaction. Construct, metric and scalar invariance across gender and age groups were documented. Women experienced more severe symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder than men. Generalized anxiety disorder affected 28% of respondents. Conclusions This study contributes evidence of the validation of the GAD among employees and also confirms the invariance depending on gender and age. The Polish version of the GAD-7 has good psychometric properties in a group of professionals and can be recommended for research and to be used in an occupational medicine practice, especially during crisis periods associated with the risk of developing a generalized anxiety disorder.

Opis:
This article deals with modelling and a flatness-based robust trajectory tracking scheme for a two degrees of freedom helicopter, which is subject to four types of tail rotor disturbances to validate the control scheme robustness. A mathematical model of the system, its differential flatness and a differential parametrization are obtained. The flat filtering control is designed for the system control with a partially known model, assuming the non-modelled dynamics and the external disturbances (specially the tail rotor ones) to be rejected by means of an extended state model (ultra-local model). Numerical and experimental assessments are carried out on a characterized prototype whose yaw angle (ψ), given by the z axis, is in free form, while the pitch angle (θ), which results from rotation about the y axis, is mechanically restricted. The proposed controller performance is tested through a set of experiments in trajectory tracking tasks with different disturbances in the tail rotor, showing robust behaviour for the different disturbances. Besides, a comparison study against a widely used controller of LQR type is carried out, in which the proposed controller achieves better results, as illustrated by a performance index.
