Opis:
In many companies, along with the economic development, the use of integrated management systems is becoming more and more common, which are subject to evolution in terms of, inter alia, offered functions and new user requirements. The main purpose of this paper is to compare selected ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems in the field of production planning and control on the example of the automotive industry. The paper presents the contemporary functioning of the automotive industry against the background of issues related to the integrated management systems used in them. The research part presents the proprietary methodology for the assessment of IT systems used in the automotive industry, which included a user survey. The obtained score allowed to indicate the optimal ERP class system supporting production planning and control.

This article concerns the issue of modernization of the manufacturing system of national enterprises by implementing modern information technologies. The analysis of the need for the industrial transformation of Ukraine at the macro level has been conducted. The role of modernization of the manufacturing structure of the enterprise is determined. Changes in technology have significant influence on the transformation of enterprise management system. The role of modern information systems in management of technological processes is analyzed. Effective Enterprise Management System (EMS) shall harmoniously combine diverse targeted components into the new competitive socioeconomic system. Changes in areas of EMS improvement during the process of formation of information infrastructure are shown in this research. MES system is a key element of the overall enterprise information structure; it is able to meet the challenges of the manufacturing sphere. The existing barriers to the development of production systems for national enterprises are also analyzed and summarized.

Opis:
A specific type of Internet based information systems (IBIS) [1] realization and enterprise integrated management systems (EIMS) [2] - are considered. This paper describes the first stage of EIMS design - enterprise modeling. A unique enterprise structure is suggested for its application when enterprise modeling. Basic concepts of enterprise functioning are specified. Extensible document model (EDM) and business process (BP) models are suggested for realization of enterprise informational and functional infrastructures development, their analysis and improvement. A real example of a business process is described.
W artykule przedstawiono realizację systemu informacyjnego opartego na internecie (IBIS) oraz zintegrowanych systemów zarządzania przedsiębiorstwami EIMS) [1]. Przedsiębiorstwo o złożonej strukturze, o różnych powiązaniach produkcyjnych i serwisowych, którego działalność jest oparta na Internecie, jest bardzo złożonym obiektem sterowania. Funkcjonowanie nowoczesnego przedsiębiorstwa wymaga zamodelowania przynajmniej dwu głównych elementów: przepływu dokumentów funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstwa i procesów biznesowych. W pracy przedstawiono pierwszy etap projektu EIMS, tj. modelowanie przedsiębiorstwa. Proponowana jest unikatowa struktura zadania do jego modelowania. Wyszczególnione są podstawowe elementy funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstwa. Zaproponowano rozszerzalny model dokumentu (EDM) oraz model procesu biznesowego (BP) do realizacji, rozwoju analizy i udoskonalania infrastruktury informacyjnej i funkcjonalnej. Metodykę zilustrowano przykładem rzeczywistego procesu biznesowego. Jako środowisko działania systemu IBIS wybrano księgarnię internetową, prowadzącą sprzedaż książek przez Internet.

At present, the flow of various types of information is very important. ERP systems are a special kind of Integrated Information Management Systems (IIMS). Using ERP systems, companies can streamline the management processes which, not so long ago, would be done on paper or via telephone. This article examines the advantages of using ERP systems. Despite some drawbacks, the use of ERP systems brings many benefits, including the reduction of logistics costs, the smooth flow of information, etc. These benefits are noticeable not only for the individual employees but for the whole company. They also have a positive impact on business relationships with the customers and suppliers.

This article analyzes the expectations of the management board and managerial staff as opposed to the expectations and concerns of regular employees of the company. Communication between the decision-making and executive groups is presented as one of the key elements determining the proper operation of the quality management system in the enterprise. In the practical part, the results of the research covering the management and regular employees were presented and compared. The research is aimed at diagnosing the quality of information flow in the enterprise based on the quality management system in the assessment of both surveyed groups, determining the perception of the importance and scale of participation in the proposed corrective actions among the surveyed groups of respondents, and diagnosing the level of informing rank-and-file employees about the goals and importance of conducting internal and external audits. The research also covered the role of lower-level employees in the effective functioning of the company’s quality management system. An attempt was made to analyze the degree of participation of regular employees in the functioning of the quality management system in the enterprise. The article ends with the conclusions and proposals for future research.

Zaprezentowano słownik pojęć oraz takie narzędzia, jak: zrównoważona karta wyników, macierz BCG, SWOT, Kaizen, KCS, kontroling, benchmarking, zarządzanie jakością i kultura organizacyjna przedsiębiorstwa.
The article regards selected tools used for strategy creation in small and medium enterprises in Poland, comprised on knowledge management system in technological and organizational solutions with processing approach. The subject taken up in research work underlines an importand part of knowledge required to survive in a persistently difficult market to build customer proximity, cooperation, an open dialogue and effective measures to ensure continuous growth either the company or its employees. The paper points out that flexibility, better accessibility to information, openness for changes, knowledge sharing, quality with concentration on strategy goals execution are very important drivers to improve the company worthiness. The tools presented in the article are: Balanced Scorecard, BCG matrix, Key Performance Indicators (KPI), controlling, benchmarking, Kaizen, quality management and organizational culture.

W artykule opisano ocenę wykorzystania ośmiu zasad zarządzania jakością przez pracowników administracyjnych i produkcyjnych w firmie mającej wdrożony System Zarządzania Jakością według normy ISO 9001. Przedsiębiorstwo zajmuje się produkcją elementów elektronicznych. Oceny dokonało 20 pracowników administracyjnych i 30 pracowników produkcyjnych. Za pomocą odpowiedniej ankiety przypisywali oni każdej z ośmiu zasad wartości od 1 do 10, adekwatnie do stopnia jej wykorzystywania w swojej działalności zawodowej. Wyniki ankiet wykazały istnienie istotnych różnic w postrzeganiu przydatności zasad zarządzania jakością przez pracowników administracyjnych i produkcyjnych.
Usefulness of the eight principles of quality management were evaluated by production and administration employees of an enterprise which has implemented the Quality Management System according to the ISO 9001 standard. The enterprise produces electronic elements. Evaluation was made by randomly chosen groups of production and administration employees applying a questionnaire in which numbers from 1 to 10 could be assigned individually to each of the 8 principles according to the extent of their use in the professional activity. Results of the questionnaires demonstrated the existence of essential differences in the perception of usefulness of the quality management principles by the production and administration employees

Wskazano, że dla wspomagania idei ochrony środowiska i zapobiegania zanieczyszczeniom komponentów środowiska istotne jest wdrażanie przez przedsiębiorstwa Systemu Zarządzania Środowiskowego ISO 14001. Wskazano istotę wdrożenia tego Systemu, jego główne elementy planowania, systematyczne działania, identyfikację aspektów środowiskowych, a przede wszystkim zalety posiadania certyfikatu ISO 14001 i jego wpływ na wizerunek przedsiębiorstwa pod kątem humanizacji organizacji.
It was pointed out that in order to amplify the idea of environmental protection and the prevention of environmental contamination, it is essential that enterprises implement the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. The essence of implementing this system, its main planning elements and system operations, and the identification of environmental concerns are demonstrated. Most importantly the advantages of having an ISO 14001 certificate and the impact it has on a company's image in the area of organizational humanization are discussed.

W artykule scharakteryzowano dwuszczeblowy i jednoszczeblowy system zarządzania i nadzoru w przedsiębiorstwie. Podkreślono ich duże znaczenie dla nadzoru właścicielskiego, jak również dla funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstwa. Dokonując analizy porównawczej obu systemów, wskazano na warunki ich stosowania, przesłanki wyboru jednego z nich. W opracowaniu podano rożne podejścia do istoty spółki i nadrzędnego celu jej działalności, co zdaniem autorów silnie oddziałuje na wybór modelu nadzoru korporacyjnego i mechanizmów nadzoru właścicielskiego.
The article characterises the dualistic and monistic system of management and supervision in an enterprise. It stresses their grave importance for the owner's supervision, as well as for operations of the enterprise. Through a comparative analysis of both systems the conditions of applying them are indicated, as are the assumptions to use one of them. The analysis contains various approaches to the essence of the enterprise and the superior aim of its activity, what in the authors' view has a powerful impact on the selection of a corporate governance model and the owner's supervision mechanisms.

Nowadays innovations became the most important element of the country’s economic development, since they provide a qualitative increase in the efficiency of processes or end production demanded by the market. In this article, the innovation of processes, viz. the processes of logistic management of the production-economic organization is proposed. Innovations in logistics management, as a direction of logistics activity improvement provide the development of new tools (methods, criteria, indices) in methodological logistics’ groundwork, as well as improving the mechanism for the formation and functioning of micro- and macro-logistic systems. The aim of the research is to develop scientific and methodological recommendations for the application of logistics management innovations that involve designing the logistics system through the improvement of the enterprise’s organizational structure as an element of the economic macro environment. Logistic system designing approach is suggested, that anticipates an enterprise’s organizational structure formation under the process-matrix principle (unification of functional and process management approaches) and the establishment of the effective enterprise’s logistic service that plays the role of coordinator and integrator of its business-processes. Efficient organization structure formation, that provides logistics approach implementation in practical enterprises’ activity is grounded by authors. The result of the innovations in logistics management appliance is effective logistic system’s design, in which the coordinated material, informational and financial flows motion is carried out. In the result, it ensures efficient enterprise’s business-processes functioning and organic improvement of its organizational structure.

W publikacji zaprezentowano wyniki badań prowadzonych w małych przedsiębiorstwach produkcyjnych i usługowych o ugruntowanym systemie zarządzania jakością. Celem badań była ocena skuteczności wdrożonego systemu jakości rozumianej jako zdolność do osiągania założonych celów. Badania obejmowały samoocenę przeprowadzoną przez zarząd firmy lub pełnomocnika ds. systemów jakości. Uzyskane z badania ankietowego wyniki zostały zweryfikowane w formie audytu trzeciej strony. Badania uzupełniono testami przeprowadzonymi wśród zarządu i pełnomocników, których celem było ocena takich cech osobowościowych jak umiejętność komunikowania się, uczenia innych, porozumiewania się i wprowadzania zmian.

Opis:
Occupational health and safety (OHS) management is a cycle of decision-making processes, many of which are in fact multi-criterion processes in nature. Therefore, it is important to look for and develop tools to support decision-makers in their actions aimed at improving work safety levels. The objective of this paper is to propose and verify the fuzzy TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method applied to compare and assess the ways OHS management systems function in different companies. The fuzzy TOPSIS method has already been used for a number of years in assessments of alternative solutions in many different areas, but the application that uses ordered fuzzy numbers is quite original in nature. It is especially beneficial to use the fuzzy approach in OHS management systems, as it makes it possible for experts to assess different criteria using most frequently used linguistic variables. The adopted approach was verified in the study of OHS management systems in four furniture manufacturing companies. Assessment criteria were requirements of the PN-N 18001:2004 Standard. Thanks to the ordered fuzzy TOPSIS method, the analysed OHS management systems were streamlined from the point of view of 24 assessment criteria, and the best and the worst functioning system was identified. The approach presented here may constitute a significant tool for improving OHS management systems.

In order to fully adapt to market requirements, mining enterprises in recent years have implemented standardized systems for quality, safety and health at work and environmental management. The standards for individual systems define the requirements of applying specific procedures and actions to implement the adopted policy aimed at achieving the assumed goals. The combination of business procedures and practices is more effective in the case of their integration than the activities carried out under separate systems. They then function under the name of an integrated management system (IMS). Properly implemented IMSs most often contributes to a more harmonious functioning of the enterprise and the elimination of recurring activities in the areas concerning individual systems, and thus to the optimization of costs related to their implementation and maintenance. Improving the operational efficiency of the mining enterprise and mines included in it, while maintaining the requirements of work safety and environmental protection. In the conditions of a market economy, improving the efficiency of functioning and providing sources of business financing is a key necefity for mining enterprise (Bąk 2007, 2008). Mines need to be properly managed to survive. The key problem is the design and implementation of an efficient management system and its continuous improvement based on the adequacy of system solutions. This is an answer to the question whether the management system of a mining enterprise (mine) corresponds to its real needs in the process of achieving objectives. Improvement of management systems must be based on an appropriate diagnosis. The aim of the article is to present the original solution, which is a tool for improving the integrated management system in Polish mining enterprises.
Chcąc w pełni dostosować się do wymogów rynku, przedsiębiorstwa górnicze w ostatnich latach wdrożyły do stosowania znormalizowane systemy zarządzania jakością, bezpieczeństwem i higieną pracy oraz środowiskowego. Normy dotyczące poszczególnych systemów definiują wymogi stosowania określonych procedur i działań, służących wdrażaniu przyjętej polityki. Połączenie procedur i praktyk działania stosowanych w przedsiębiorstwie jest bardziej skuteczne w przypadku ich scalenia, niż działań realizowanych w ramach oddzielnych systemów. Funkcjonują one wtedy pod nazwą zintegrowanego systemu zarządzania (ZSZ). Prawidłowo wdrożony ZSZ przyczynia się najczęściej do bardziej harmonijnego funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstwa oraz eliminacji powtarzających się działań w obszarach dotyczących poszczególnych systemów, a przez to do optymalizacji kosztów związanych z ich wdrażaniem i utrzymywaniem. Poprawia sprawności funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstwa górniczego i kopalń wchodzących w jego skład, przy zachowaniu wymogów bezpieczeństwa pracy i ochrony środowiska. W warunkach gospodarki rynkowej podnoszenie efektywności funkcjonowania i zapewnienie źródeł finansowania działalności jest dla przedsiębiorstw górniczych pierwszoplanową koniecznością (Bąk 2007, 2008). Kluczowym problemem jest zaprojektowanie i wdrożenie sprawnego systemu zarządzania oraz jego ciągłe doskonalenie, oparte na adekwatności rozwiązań systemowych. Chodzi o odpowiedź na pytanie, czy system zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem górniczym (kopalnią) odpowiada jego rzeczywistym potrzebom w procesie realizacji celów. Doskonalenie systemów zarządzania musi być oparte na odpowiedniej diagnozie. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie autorskiego rozwiązania, które stanowi narzędzie doskonalenia zintegrowanego systemu zarządzania w polskich przedsiębiorstwach górniczych.

W pracy przedstawiono opis metod zbierania danych w systemach produkcyjnych w celu kontroli i raportowania przepływu produkcji. Zastosowane metody zbierania danych to technologie rozpoznawania obrazów, RFiD oraz kodów paskowych. Zbierane są także dane z sensorów aparatury automatyki przemysłowej. Zaprezentowano opis stanowiska do monitoringu systemów produkcyjnych, integrującego te technologie. Komunikacja z systemami warstwy biznesowej jest realizowana za pośrednictwem technologii OPC. Zebrane dane są analizowane i prezentowane w systemie klasy MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), skąd mogą być dalej wysyłane do zintegrowanych systemów wspomagających działanie przedsiębiorstwa ERP, co pozwala na sprawne zarządzanie przedsiębiorstwem na podstawie aktualnych danych.
This paper presents methods of automatic data acquisition from production systems for control and reporting of it. Vision systems, RFiD technology and bar codes technology are here used, as well as collecting data from sensors of manufacturing control devices and built-in sensors. Automatic post designed for production systems in-line monitoring, integrating these technologies was presented. Communication with business - layer systems is realized by OPC technology. Collected information is analyzed and presented in MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and can by relayed to integrated enterprise management systems ERP. This connection allows for reliable and efficient enterprise management basing on up-to-date information.

The purpose of this study is to complement the existing approaches towards the evaluation of the quality of ITS use in enterprise management. This article explores the point of using information technologies and systems in enterprise management and articulates an evaluation approach that can be applied to it. In this article, a Technology Acceptance Model is used to evaluate the use of information systems and technologies. According to this model, the use of any technology will be effective only if the Perceived Usefulness and the Perceived Ease of Use are high. The study surveys 120 industry experts. The survey sample is composed in accordance with the compatible criteria (competence, area of engagement, and experience of work in the leading companies). The Enterprise-Resource Planning, Customer Relationships Management, and Supplier Relationships Management systems have the highest scores, with the reliability coefficient of 0.89. A comparative assessment has been conducted on information technologies, which are used in operations management. The proposed approach can be used in any enterprise.
Celem tego badania jest uzupełnienie istniejących podejść do oceny jakości wykorzystania ITS w zarządzaniu przedsiębiorstwem. W tym artykule bada się zastosowanie technologii i systemów informatycznych w zarządzaniu przedsiębiorstwem oraz przedstawia podejście ewaluacyjne, które można do niego zastosować. W tym artykule zastosowano model akceptacji technologii do oceny wykorzystania systemów i technologii informatycznych. Zgodnie z tym modelem korzystanie z dowolnej technologii będzie skuteczne tylko wtedy, gdy postrzegana użyteczność i odczuwalna łatwość użytkowania będą wysokie. W badaniu wzięło udział 120 ekspertów branżowych. Próbka ankiety składa się zgodnie z kompatybilnymi kryteriami (kompetencje, obszar zaangażowania i doświadczenie w pracy w wiodących firmach). Systemy planowania przedsiębiorstwa i zarządzania relacjami z klientami oraz zarządzania relacjami z dostawcami mają najwyższe wyniki, a współczynnik niezawodności wynosi 0,89. Przeprowadzono ocenę porównawczą technologii informatycznych wykorzystywanych w zarządzaniu operacjami. Proponowane podejście można zastosować w dowolnym przedsiębiorstwie.
