Opis:: The Erasmus Programme was officially introduced in 1987 despite the discontent of some member states which had their own solutions in the field of educational exchange. Instead, the new programme was supposed to achieve certain far- reaching goals which exceeded the interests of particular countries. Achieving the goals of the program involved some difficulties because the process initiated by the student exchange program last several years and should be consistent with changes taking place at that time in the field of education. Furthermore, the overall objectives should harmonize with the interests of individual institutions and, above all, the plans of individual students. This study analysed the experiences of 21 Polish students who spent their Erasmus scholarship in Portugal. While the authors concentrated on the specifics of this given location, it did not constitute their only point of attention. The authors analyzed the students’ expectations, comparing them later with their evaluation of the benefits that emerged from their stay. The main question was whether the effects noted by the students corresponded with the intentions of the creators of the programme. They proved to be quite consistent, with some exceptions such as the opportunity to participate in classes in languages other than Portuguese.

Opis:: The aim of the article is to analyze the extent, to which the participation of students in learning mobility projects on the example of the Erasmus+ programme influences the improvement of their individual skills desired from the perspective of the labour market. The text begins with an introduction that outlines the background to the considerations undertaken. Next, the historical context of learning mobility in Europe and the process of internationalization of universities are presented as one of the consequences of the globalizing labour market. In the following part of the article we characterized the best known European programme promoting academic mobility Erasmus+. The end of the article contains a review of the research on the competences of beneficiaries of learning mobility projects, supported by statistical data, and an attempt to draw a link between participation in student exchange and the chances of finding a satisfactory employment after graduation. The analysis shows that graduates with foreign mobility experience develop a number of characteristics and skills, that increase their employability and career opportunities.

Opis:: Erasmus mobility is one of the most important manifestations of internationalization of education in Europe. The aim of the study is to ascertain the participants’ motives and the benefits coming from this international exchange of students as well as to diversify the results with regard to gender. The article, in its theoretical part, characterizes the concept of internationalization of education, describes the factors motivating for educational mobility, the benefits and the barriers of participation. The empirical part contains own researches carried out on a group of 125 students from Polish and foreign universities, using the CAWI (Computer-Assisted Web Interview) tool. It turns out that the main motivators to participate in student international education mobility is, among women, desire to travel as well as development of language skills. Men are mainly motivated by having fun and good time. Regardless of the research results it can be noticed that, generally, employers are more likely to decide to hire people who participated in and international student exchange, and the risk of long-term unemployment among graduates with international experience is lower by half than among graduates without such international experience. On the other hand, internationalization of education involves risks, including commercial profits, academic colonization and difficulties in providing high-quality education.

Opis:: International Pathfinders is a systematic study of the biographical significance of educational mobility within a European context. It builds upon autobiographical narrative material gathered through the EuroIdentities project. The study aims to combine the elements of social theory and the most recent research in the area of internationalisation of higher education with biographical material in order to understand and push the academic debate even further. This article employs a three-stage sequence of educational mobility – leaving home, the experience itself, and the return – as a core structure for discussing and presenting the cases. Within that framework, issues such as influence of cultural and symbolic capitals and specific characteristics of the educational structures of opportunities are explored. Biographical consequences of educational mobility take the form of an international frame of reference, allowing international students to navigate in complex international relations, and can be considered the source of social status both in an international and a national context.
Artykuł ten jest szkicem biograficznych wymiarów internacjonalizacji kształcenia na poziomie wyższym w kontekście europejskim. Materiały autobiograficzne wykorzystane w artykule pochodzą ze zbioru projektu ‘EuroIdentities’. Szkic ma na celu systematyczną analizę materiału empirycznego w świetle istniejących teorii socjologicznych i najnowszych badań. Artykuł rozpatruje mobilność edukacyjną z punku widzenia jej sekwencyjnych stadiów – wyjazd, pobyt i powrót – co daje możliwość systematyzacji i prezentacji materiału biograficznego. W ramach tego trzy-stopniowego procesu szkic rozpatruje kwestie kapitałów kulturowego i symbolicznego oraz zróżnicowanej możliwości realizacji planów działania z punktu widzenia trzech odmian jej instytucjonalnego uwzorowania. Biograficzne konsekwencje mobilności edukacyjnej są rozpatrywane w ramach obecności ‘międzynarodowego układu odniesienia’, który pomaga studentom zorientować się w skomplikowanej międzynarodowej rzeczywistości i może być rozpatrywany jako źródło statusu społecznego na poziomie zarówno narodowym jak i międzynarodowym.

Opis:: Wprowadzenie. Internacjonalizacja stanowi jeden z istotnych wymiarów szkolnictwa wyższego. Towarzyszy jej wzrost dostępności programów wymiany międzynarodowej oraz uznawalności okresu studiów realizowanych za granicą. W strategiach rozwoju uczelni dużo uwagi poświęca się budowaniu oferty uczelni partnerskich, zapewniających wysoką jakość kształcenia i różnorodne metody nauczania. Badania młodzieży akademickiej wskazują, że czynniki te są istotne, ale nie kluczowe w podejmowaniu decyzji o wymianie zagranicznej. Cel. W prezentowanych badaniach analizie poddano ustosunkowanie młodzieży akademickiej do jakości oferty uczelni zagranicznych jako źródła potencjalnych szans i zagrożeń związanych z mobilnością edukacyjną. Problemy badawcze dotyczyły różnic między studentkami zrekrutowanymi do wymiany i nieplanującymi jej. Materiały i metody. Badania zrealizowano w latach 2017/2018 oraz 2018/2019 na Wydziale Studiów Edukacyjnych UAM w Poznaniu, wśród studentek pedagogiki zrekrutowanych do wymiany w ramach Programu Erasmus+ (N=50) oraz nieplanujących udziału w niej (N=64). Zastosowano metodę sondażu diagnostycznego. Dane poddano analizie statystycznej z wykorzystaniem statystyk opisowych, analizy częstości oraz testów istotności różnic (test U Manna-Whitneya). Wyniki. Zdecydowana większość badanych postrzega w kategoriach potencjalnych korzyści z uczestnictwa w programie Erasmus+ zarówno możliwość wyboru interesujących uczelni zagranicznych (96,5%), wysoką jakość kształcenia na nich (92,1%), jak i nowe praktyki i metody nauczania (98,2%). Jednocześnie, większość studentek nieplanujących mobilności (w przeciwieństwie do zrekrutowanych do niej) te trzy zakresy oferty uczelnianej postrzega także w kategoriach potencjalnych zagrożeń lub obaw.
Introduction. Internationalization constitutes an important dimension of the higher education system. It is accompanied by an increase in the level of availability of international exchange programmes and recognition of study periods abroad. The Higher Education institutions, within their internationalization strategies, pay heavy attention to: creating the offer of partner institutions with high-quality teaching and diverse teaching methods. The research revealed that these factors are important, but are not crucial, to academic youth, while making decisions about international educational mobility. Aim. The aim of the research was to explore the university students’ approach toward the chosen phenomena of quality of HE institutions in the context of potential opportunities and challenges. Research concerned problems with the differences between students qualified to educational mobility and those not considering it. Materials and methods. The research was conducted in 2017/18 and 2018/2019 at the Faculty of Educational Studies of Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, among the female students recruited to the Erasmus+ programme (N=50) and those not taking part in the programme (N=64). The survey method was used. The collected data were statistically analysed using descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, and significance difference tests (Mann-Whitney U-test). Results. The vast majority of respondents considered: offers of HE institutions (96,5%) interesting, their high education quality (92,1%) and new teaching methods (98,2%) in the category of advantages of the involvement in the Erasmus+ programme. Simultaneously, the majority of students not taking part in the programme (in contrast to the minority of students recruited to it) consider those three analyzed aspects of HE institutions offers in the category of the essential threat associated with the foreign mobility.

Opis:: The goal of this paper is to analyze the relationship between the communication competencies (in foreign languages) and the chosen phenomena of the mobile society. A number of social researchers claims, that the “mobility” becomes one of the crucial values of contemporary society and the communication in foreign languages is among the key (esential) competences of citizens. This applies also to higher education system – internationalization of universities, participation in educational exchange programmes. The article aims to discuss the meaning of communication competencies in foreign language as a challenge for international educational mobility of youth. The issue is analyzed on the basis of author’s pilot research into the educational mobility (Erasmus+ program) of university students of the Faculty of Educational Studies of Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań (N = 92). A following research thesis was put forward: the approach to foreing educational mobility will be ambivalent. The vast majority of respondents considered the participation in the class at a foreign language and improving the proficiency in foreign language as the advantages of the involvement in the Erasmus+ program. Simultaneously, the lack of foreign language ability to participate in learning process is perceived as the essential threat associated with the foreign mobility.
W artykule analizie poddano relacje między kompetencjami językowymi a wybranymi zjawiskami i procesami typowymi dla społeczeństwa mobilnego. Na podstawie diagnoz stawianych przez badaczy współczesnych społeczeństw i ich kultur można uznać, że mobilność stanowi jedną z podstawowych wartości, a kompetencje w zakresie porozumiewania się w językach obcych są jednymi z kluczowych dla osiągania dobrostanu obywateli. Dotyczy to także szkolnictwa wyższego, czego wyrazem jest wzrost internacjonalizacji, w tym zagranicznej mobilności edukacyjnej studentek i studentów. Celem tekstu jest analiza znaczenia kompetencji w zakresie komunikowania się w językach obcych jako potencjalnego wyzwania dla mobilności edukacyjnej. Empiryczną egzemplifikację stanowią tu rezultaty badań pilotażowych (N = 92) nad postawami młodzieży akademickiej wobec uczestnictwa (wymiany studenckiej) w programie Erasmus+. Badania przeprowadzono w 2017 roku na Wydziale Studiów Edukacyjnych UAM w Poznaniu. Postawiono w nich tezę o ambiwalencji w ustosunkowaniu do zagranicznej mobilności edukacyjnej. Uczestnictwo w zajęciach w języku obcym oraz polepszenie jego znajomości są przez zdecydowaną większość badanych postrzegane jako korzyści z uczestnictwa w programie Erasmus+. Jednocześnie brak kompetencji językowych do uczestnictwa w zajęciach jest uznawany za istotne zagrożenie związane z mobilnością zagraniczną.

Opis:: Recapitulated in autobiographical narrative interviews, the experiences of two Polish women: Magda and Ewa constitute the basis for this article on various types of liaison work (hegemonic and symmetrical). They are set within the framework of (quasi) professional work aimed at helping Pakistani immigrant women in Italy and at supporting autistic children in Poland and Belgium, respectively. Thus, both narrators are forced to deal with considerably different cultural patterns rooted in an oriental and Islamic lifestyle, in the former case, and manifesting themselves in the therapies of children with disabilities in European countries, in the latter. An attempt is made to examine the social as well as biographical consequences of introducing a certain type of liaison work, when the recipients are persons afflicted with suffering. Moreover, the study discusses the tensions, ambivalences and paradoxes which appear in micro-situations, including conversations and professional activities, frequently framed by the neoliberal ideology promoted by the educational programs of the European Commission. It seems that they are rarely a subject of critical analysis which takes into consideration the biographical consequences experienced by both sides of the interaction and their social implications, particularly in the area of multiculturalism or intercultural dialogue.
Podstawę podjętych w tym artykule rozważań nad różnymi typami pracy pośredniczącej (hegemonialnej i symetrycznej) stanowią zrelacjonowane w autobiograficznych wywiadach narracyjnych doświadczenia dwóch Polek: Magdy i Ewy. Doświadczenia te osadzone są w ramie pracy (quasi)profesjonalnej polegającej, w pierwszym przypadku, na pomocy młodym imigrantkom z Pakistanu oraz, w drugim przypadku, na opiece nad dziećmi autystycznymi w Polsce i w Belgii. Wymaga to od obu narratorek odniesienia się do znacząco odmiennych wzorów kulturowych, zakorzenionych w kulturze Orientu i islamu oraz związanych z terapią dzieci niepełnosprawnych w różnych krajach Europy. Szczególna uwaga jest tutaj poświęcona społecznym i biograficznym konsekwencjom wprowadzenia określonego typu pracy pośredniczącej w sytuacji, gdy jej adresatami są osoby dotknięte cierpieniem. Analiza podjęta w tym artykule obejmuje zatem błędy, napięcia, ambiwalencje i paradoksy pojawiające się w mikro-sytuacjach rozmowy i działaniach profesjonalnych często ramowanych przez neoliberalną ideologię obecną w edukacyjnych programach Komisji Europejskiej. Rzadko, jak się wydaje, stanowią one przedmiot krytycznej analizy uwzględniającej biograficzne konsekwencje ponoszone przez obie strony interakcji i społeczne implikacje przede wszystkim w obszarze wielokulturowości czy dialogu międzykulturowego.

Opis:: Artykuł jest opracowaniem empirycznym wykorzystującym w procesie weryfikacji analizę danych empirycznych zgromadzonym przez autora w ramach projektu finansowanego z funduszu Urzędu Marszałkowskiego Województwa Zachodniopomorskiego nt.: „Prowadzenie badań dotyczących jakości życia i potrzeb osób niepełnosprawnych”. Głównym celem procesu wyjaśniania prezentowanego opracowania jest identyfikacja znaczenia aktywności zawodowej osób z niepełnosprawnością w procesie konstytuowania się ich jakości życia. Proces weryfikacji został oparty o model teoretyczny jakości życia E. Allarda. Przesłanką empiryczną procedury weryfikacji był zgromadzony przez autora, obszerny zbiór danych zagregowanych (2822 jednostkowe pomiary). Pozwolił on na sformułowanie wniosków zarówno odnoszących się do Allardowskich kategorii jakości życia, jak i roli pracy dla percypowania przez badanych różnorodnych jej wymiarów.
The article is an empirical study using, in the verification process, the analysis of empirical data collected by the author as part of a project funded by the Marshal's Office of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship on the subject: „Conducting research on the quality of life and the needs of people with disabilities”. The main purpose of the process of explaining the presented study is to identify the importance of professional activity of people with disabilities in the process of constituting their quality of life. The verification process was based on the theoretical model of the quality of life by E. Allard. The empirical premise of the verification procedure was the extensive aggregate data collected by the author (2822 unit measurements). It allowed the formulation of conclusions which were referring to the quality of life categories by Allard as well as the role of work for the perceiving of its various dimensions by the respondents.

Opis:: Wiskitki is a small town situated 6 km from Zyrardów. It has been treated as a laboratory for studying the mechanisms and directions of social change in a small town. The social and geographic mobility of Wiskitki's young generation in relation to their education level and education aspirations were the study's subject. Several data sources were used: Wiskitki 7-grade school's archives covering the period from 1925 to 1960, interviews, participant observation, date stemming from the pupil's essays on a given topic and several others. The factors influencing the change in the upward social mobility patters were the changes both in the sphere of institutions, infrastructure and economic relations, as well as in social consciousness. The increased demand for qualified labor force in the neighboring bigger town and the new bus line between Wiskitki and Zyrardów are the examples of the first group of factors. The change of particular professions' social prestige illustrates the second group of factors.

Opis:: Educational tourism is the segment which works in order to meet the growing demands of the market, to increase student and staff mobility as a key tool for personal development, to enrich the learning and research experience, to improve knowledge transfer, through active participation in multilateral projects, thematic networks, joint degrees and initiatives at regional and international level. Besides, educational tourism allows students to improve their personal skills and to increase their employability. By creating opportunities and improving the quality of mobility universities offer a unique platform for students to contribute to the shaping of Europe’s future. Nowadays when all doors are open and the mental readiness of academic staff as well as students is on its top of development, there exists the man-made difficulties, barriers that hinder the process of mobility and accordingly the development of educational tourism. The article focuses on searching the ways directed at increasing and simplifying the procedures of international student mobility.
Turystyka edukacyjna jest segmentem, który działa po to, żeby sprostać rosnącemu popytowi rynku, zwiększyć mobilność studentów i kadry jako klucz do rozwoju osobistego, wzbogacić doświadczenia edukacji i badań, usprawnić transfer wiedzy poprzez aktywne uczestnictwo w projektach wielostronnych, sieciach tematycznych, wspólne oceny i inicjatywy na szczeblu regionalnym i międzynarodowym. Poza tym turystyka edukacyjna pozwala studentom doskonalić swe osobiste umiejętności i zwiększyć szanse zatrudnienia. Przez stwarzanie szans i podnoszenie jakości mobilności uczelnie oferują wyjątkową platformę dla studentów w celu wnoszenia przez nich wkładu w kształtowanie przyszłości Europy. W dzisiejszych czasach, gdy wszystkie drzwi są otwarte, zaś mentalna gotowość personelu akademickiego, jak również studentów jest w swym szczytowym momencie rozwoju, istnieją tworzone przez człowieka trudności i bariery, które utrudniają proces mobilności i, w związku z tym, rozwoju turystyki edukacyjnej. W artykule uwagę skupiono na poszukiwaniu dróg prowadzących do zwiększania i upraszczania procedur międzynarodowej mobilności studentów.

Opis:: This paper analyses trends in social mobility in Poland in the process of system transformation to market capitalism. Using data from the Polish Panel Survey POLPAN, it compares social origin effects on educational attainment and on occupational status of the first job as well as the impact of formal education on the latter. The analysis is performed over four cohorts that have entered the labor market: (1) between 1983 and 1989, (2) between 1990 and 1998, (3) between 1999 and 2006, and (4) between 2007 and 2013. With regard to the impact of social origin on attainment of tertiary education upon entry to the labor market and on the status of the first job the analyses show stable social origin effects across time. Furthermore, there is evidence of a rising polarization of the effect of educational level on occupational position in the first employment.

The individual transnational mobility of students has been studied in the context of globalization and internationalization. The article argued that education systems should constantly reformulate themselves to accommodate newcomers successfully.

Opis:: The article considers the issue of virtual international academic mobility as one of the priority areas of international activities of higher education institutions. It is substantiated that the intensive development of information and communication technologies (knowledge mobility) and informatisation of public life led to the spread and use of virtual educational environments and e-learning in higher education, which became the basis for the development of virtual academic mobility of students. The purpose of the study is to study the existing approaches and practices of academic mobility, including virtual, to determine the main benefits and opportunities for disseminating this experience at all levels of higher education in Ukraine. The research methodology consists of general theoretical and empirical research methods. A review of modern scientific literature, periodicals, and scientific and methodological sources on the problem of academic mobility and the digitalisation of higher education is made. Their analysis, structuring, interpretation and construction of logical conclusions are highlighted. The article considers the content of the main scientific approaches to the definition of “academic mobility”. The characteristic of academic mobility in the conditions of digitalisation of higher education is given. Varieties of academic mobility in modern conditions of digitalisation of higher education (physical, virtual, mixed) are considered. The subjects of virtual academic mobility (virtual student, virtual teacher, virtual university, virtual campus) are outlined. The main advantages and disadvantages of such virtual academic mobility of students are identified. The main methodological recommendations of European funds and associations are analysed, based on which the project preparation plan for any virtual mobility type is developed. It is proposed to carry out additional measures that ensure the quantitative growth of academic (virtual) mobility and improve its quality. The necessity of searching for new forms of remote exchanges, analysis of the experience of foreign associations and their adaptation according to the realities of the system of higher education in Ukraine is substantiated: the active involvement of the student’s audience in programmes of virtual cooperation; increasing the necessary competencies of the administrative and teaching staff of higher education institutions, which allow implementing such virtual projects using innovative information technology tools; preparation of the regulatory framework that enshrines the right to implement virtual academic mobility along with the full-time form and recognition of its results by recalculating educational loans.

Opis:: The article focuses on exploring the relationship between experiencing educational problems in the course of life and precariousness in further professional career of young Poles. My primary interests are concentrated around the biographical experience in the spheres of education (especially in the context of young Polish workers undertaking studies) and work. I examine how the educational problems that were present at different educational levels may affect life stories and how they could be linked with the struggling on the labor market, and how they eventually led to increasing exposure toward precarious conditions as well as, finally, the potential of trajectory of suffering. In the analysis, I am using biographical narrative interview conducted with Julian, a young precarious worker who failed to obtain a university degree. My main argumentation is that educational problems he had faced during his studies are in complex loop with his precarious situation on the labor market and led him to experience subsequent phases of the trajectory of suffering. On the other hand, I examine the role of the myth of university degree as a generational driver of upward class mobility.
Artykuł koncentruje się na badaniu związku między doświadczaniem problemów edukacyjnych a prekaryzacją w dalszej karierze zawodowej młodych Polaków. Główne zainteresowania autora koncentrują się na doświadczeniach biograficznych w sferze edukacji wyższej i pracy. Bada, w jaki sposób problemy występujące na różnych poziomach edukacji mogą wpływać na historie życia i jak mogą być powiązane ze zmaganiami na rynku pracy, co ostatecznie prowadzić może do zwiększania potencjałów trajektoryjnych i do trajektorii cierpienia. W części empirycznej artykułu autor skupia się na analizie jednego przypadku – biograficznego wywiadu narracyjnego przeprowadzonego z Julianem, młodym sprekaryzowanym pracownikiem, któremu nie udało się uzyskać dyplomu uniwersyteckiego. Stara się zweryfikować hipotezę na temat związku pomiędzy doświadczanymi przez niego problemami edukacyjnymi a niepewną sytuacją na rynku pracy, który był jednym z głównych czynników doświadczania przez narratora kolejnych faz trajektorii cierpienia. Z drugiej strony bada rolę mitu dyplomu uniwersyteckiego jako pokoleniowego czynnika napędzającego mobilność klasową.

Opis:: The article analyses short-term student mobility. In the context of internationalisation of higher education and the development of the global market of educational services universities develop and implement short-term programmes of student mobility in order to recruit international students. These programmes are less restricted than full time programmes, which allows them to meet the needs and expectations of students. International experience gained as a result gives them the opportunity to choose their path in postgraduate education in institutions abroad. A questionnaire survey of the Chinese students participating in the short-term student mobility programmes (n=31) is reported. In addition, a number of interviews with the staffwhose work is connected with teaching overseas students (n=5) was conducted in 2019. The findings of this research may demonstrate that Chinese students intend to become familiar with an additional set of common cultural competences. In other words, their interest in Russia, its history, culture, traditions and customs is becoming a strong motivation in choosing a university and a short-term educational programme. It could be the case that low language proficiency, bureaucracy, (namely, difficulties in acquiring the necessary paperwork and being accommodated in a hall of residence) become hurdles on the way to completing such a programme successfully. While developing programmes, host universities should be guided by common cultural competences in order to promote further development of short-term student mobility.

Opis:: Osoby dojeżdżające do pracy generują codziennie dużą liczbę podróży, w tym realizowanych samochodem, przyczyniając się do powstawania zatłoczenia komunikacyjnego. Negatywne następstwa użytkowania samochodów rozważać należy również pod kątem problemów odczuwanych przez pracowników, pracodawców oraz społeczności lokalne, funkcjonujące w sąsiedztwie zakładów pracy. Komisja Europejska wskazuje na konieczność realizacji działań zorientowanych na zmianę zachowań komunikacyjnych osób podróżujących do pracy. W Zielonej Księdze oraz „Planie działania na rzecz mobilności w miastach” podkreślono istotną rolę przedsiębiorstw oraz jednostek publicznych, których promobilnościowa strategia może kształtować zachowania komunikacyjne pracowników. Istnieje zatem potrzeba organizacji w miastach działań edukacyjnych i marketingowych skierowanych do osób pracujących oraz zachęcania przedsiębiorstw do tworzenia tzw. planów mobilności. W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badań dotyczących skuteczności planów mobilności dla miejsc pracy oraz opisano działania realizowane przez zagraniczne władze lokalne, regionalne i krajowe, zachęcające pracodawców lub wymuszające na nich obowiązek realizacji projektów zrównoważonej mobilności. Ponadto przedstawiono wyniki kampanii „Do pracy jadę rowerem”, promującej ruch rowerowy w dojazdach do pracy w Gdyni.
Commuters generate a large number of trips, including those realized by car, contributing with the increase of traffic congestion. The negative consequences of car use must be considered also in terms of inconveniences experienced by employees, employers and local communities of the neighboring areas. The European Commission notes the need to implement activities aimed at commuters’ behavior change. In the “Green Paper” and the “Action Plan on Urban Mobility” the important role of enterprises and public entities has been highlighted, since their mobility strategy can shape the employees’ travel behaviors. There is a need for organization of educational and marketing activities addressed to the commuters and for encouragement of business to create so-called mobility plans. The article presents the results of research on the effectiveness of mobility plans for work places and describes the activities carried out by foreign local, regional and national authorities to encourage employers or force them to implement the sustainable mobility projects. In addition, the results of the campaign “I go to work by bike”, promoting cycling among commuters in Gdynia, are presented.

Opis:: One of the basic goals of Bologna Process is to promote students mobility. Transforming five-year studies in two-cycle structure gave students the opportunity of horizontal mobility – chance to change the institution of higher education or faculty after completing first cycle. This paper presents results of the research on the students’ educational paths and on their horizontal mobility after becoming bachelor in 2010 at University of Warsaw. It is the first research on this issue based on data collected by University’s administration and stored in two related systems that collect the data: web-based central admission system (IRK) and University Study-Oriented System (USOS).
Jednym z założeń Procesu Bolońskiego jest promowanie mobilności studentów. Wprowadzenie systemu studiów dwustopniowych stworzyło możliwość mobilności pionowej studentów – zmiany uczelni lub kierunku studiów po zakończeniu studiów I stopnia. W tekście przedstawione są wyniki badania mającego na celu przeanalizowanie wyborów osób, które w 2010 roku uzyskały tytuł licencjata na Uniwersytecie Warszawskim, oraz określenie, w jakim stopniu zachodzi zjawisko mobilności pomiędzy kierunkami studiów w momencie przejścia między studiami I i II stopnia. Jest to pierwsze tego typu badanie prowadzone z wykorzystaniem danych administracyjnych, gromadzonych w ramach dwóch stowarzyszonych systemów: Internetowej Rejestracji Kandydatów (IRK) oraz Uniwersyteckiego Systemu Obsługi Studiów (USOS).

Opis:: W artykule dokonujemy syntezy istniejącej wiedzy na temat struktury społecznej i jej współczesnych przemian w teoretycznym kontekście pojęcia kapitałów (nie tylko materialnego, ale także społecznego, ludzkiego, edukacyjnego). Proponujemy równocześnie spojrzenie na mobilność społeczną przez pryzmat koncepcji konwersji kapitałów. Na tej podstawie staramy się pokazać, że nierówności i możliwości awansu społecznego są pochodną kluczowych systemów instytucjonalnych, które we współczesnym świecie podlegają daleko idącej konwergencji.
In this article we aim to synthesize existing knowledge on social structure and its contemporary changes in the context of the notion of capitals (not only material, but social, human, educational as well). We also propose to look at mobility from the perspective of conversions of those capitals. Based on that, we try to show that inequalities and prospects of upward mobility is contingent on key institutional systems in contemporary societies, which tend to converge.

Opis:: The problem of development of cultural intelligence of future psychologists as a necessary quality of personality in the multicultural environment of the university in modern conditions is considered. The experience of creating effective psychological and pedagogical conditions, contributing to the development of cultural intelligence of future psychologists, is presented. Purpose. Searching and using of effective psychological and pedagogical conditions of the development of cultural intelligence of the of future psychology teachers in multicultural education at the university. Methods. The following methods were used during the research: general scientific methods (study of normative, instructive and methodological documents on the problem under study, analysis and study of philosophical, psychological, pedagogical, scientific, methodological, sociological literature, systematization, comparative analysis of theoretical approaches and generalization of literature on the problem of cultural Intellect); empirical: pedagogical and psychological observation of interpersonal relations in student groups; Observation of the pedagogical process, questioning, conversation, analysis of students' work, studying and summarizing the experience of teaching activities, written and oral interviews. Results. Students don’t know enough about the culture of the peoples inhabiting our planet and republic. In the curriculum of the universities there are not enough disciplines that shape the personality with a general planetary consciousness (according to O. Suleimenov) with a global artistic and aesthetic culture. The modern specialist, first of all, is a citizen of the world who can speak many languages, knows the culture of the people of the world, who has a developed cultural intelligence. Because students spend a lot of time in the university, we suppose that only education can form all the necessary skills. Internationalization of education can develops a person’s ability to live in a society, to accept a different culture, value own traditions, transfer all the best that exists in another culture, into the life of its society. In this context, the creation of pedagogical conditions for the development of cultural intelligence of students should be purposeful, multifaceted and multidirectional, ensuring a dialogue of cultures and an integrated approach in the formation of students' self-learning, responsibility, multiculturalism, tolerance and other important qualities of a modern person.

Opis:: In this article the bilingual education of future social pedagogues is presented. It is based on general and special educational principles, general didactic and innovative forms of training, the latest and classical teaching methods, using specific means of training, including the goals and objectives of bilingual education. According to this notion, training occurs in four stages: covering stage (I–IV semesters of studying), additional stage (V–VIII semesters of studying), parity stage (I–II semesters of master’s degree), evolutionary stage (III semester of master’s degree). To each of these stages, special educational and methodological materials have been developed to provide a specific process of bilingual education at the appropriate stages, which forms a training complex for the implementation of bilingual training of future specialists, which corresponds to the educational program of training specialists in the social sphere and covers all types of educational activities of students in the context of bilingual education. It should be noted that this technology has been tested at the Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University for eight years and has given positive results, especially in terms of the motivational component of the training. In the article it is demonstrated that bilingual education is a guarantee of the professional mobility of future social sphere specialists since this kind of training enables our graduates to be competitive in the modern labor market and to work in any part of Europe and not only in their own country.
W artykule przedstawiono technologię dwujęzycznej edukacji przyszłych pedagogów społecznych. Technologia ta została oparta na ogólnych i specjalnych zasadach edukacyjnych, ogólnych dydaktycznych i innowacyjnych formach szkolenia, najnowszych i klasycznych metodach nauczania, z wykorzystaniem konkretnych środków szkolenia dla celów edukacji dwujęzycznej. Zgodnie z tą technologią, trening odbywa się w czterech etapach: etap podstawowy (I–IV semestr studiów), dodatkowy etap (V–VIII semestr studiów), etap równoległy (I–II semestr studiów magisterskich), etap ewolucyjny (III semestr studiów magisterskich). Na każdym z tych etapów opracowano specjalne materiały edukacyjne i metodologiczne, aby zapewnić właściwy proces kształcenia dwujęzycznego na odpowiednich etapach, w efekcie czego wypracowano zestaw materiałów szkoleniowych do wdrażania technologii dwujęzycznego szkolenia przyszłych specjalistów, co odpowiada programom szkolenia specjalistów w sferze społecznej i obejmuje wszystkie rodzaje działań edukacyjnych uczniów w kontekście edukacji dwujęzycznej. Należy zauważyć, że technologia ta została przetestowana na Uniwersytecie Żytomierskim przez osiem lat i dała pozytywne wyniki, szczególnie pod względem motywacyjnego komponentu szkolenia. W artykule wykazano, że edukacja dwujęzyczna sprzyja mobilności zawodowej przyszłych specjalistów w dziedzinie sfery społecznej, ponieważ tego rodzaju szkolenia umożliwiają absolwentom konkurowanie na współczesnym rynku pracy oraz dają możliwość podjęcia pracy w dowolnej części Europy, a nie tylko we własnym kraju.

Opis:: The domestic system of higher education is undergoing a path of renewal, aimed at the internationalization of higher education and cultural integration of teachers from different countries, improving the quality of higher education according to international educational standards. The integration of Ukraine’s higher education into the world educational space and the consequent development of international human capital exchange need to be modernized, including the system of academic mobility in the higher education system. Every year academic mobility programs expand the number of participants, both at the expense of domestic and foreign higher education institutions. Academic mobility is one of the most important aspects of integrating Ukrainian higher education institutions into the international educational space and a factor in the personal and professional development of teachers, as it puts him in the analysis and solution of life situations from their own and other cultures. At the same time, academic mobility is important for the personal and professional development of the teacher, as it puts him in the conditions of analysis and solution of life situations from the standpoint of their own and other cultures. This promotes the development of the ability to think in a comparative aspect; the ability to choose ways of interaction taking into account the peculiarities of another culture; readiness for intercultural communication; deepens knowledge of another culture. Participation of teachers in academic mobility programs gives them the opportunity to improve their skills, constantly develop professionally, get acquainted with teaching methods at universities abroad, develop personal and professional potential. In Ukraine, the academic mobility of research and teaching staff is regulated by legislation and includes a corresponding update of state legislation on higher education (Law of Ukraine «On Higher Education», Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine «Regulations on the exercise of the right to academic mobility»).
Вітчизняна система вищої освіти проходить шлях оновлення, спрямованого на інтернаціоналізацію вищої освіти та культурну інтеграцію викладачів різних країн, підвищення якості вищої освіти за міжнародними освітніми стандартами. Інтеграція вищої освіти України у світовий освітній простір та подальший розвиток міжнародного обміну людським капіталом потребує модернізації, у тому числі системи академічної мобільності у системі вищої освіти. З кожним роком програми академічної мобільності розширюють кількість учасників, як за рахунок вітчизняних, так і закордонних вищих навчальних закладів. Академічна мобільність є одним із найважливіших аспектів інтеграції українських вищих навчальних закладів у міжнародний освітній простір та чинником особистісного та професійного розвитку викладача, оскільки ставить його до аналізу та вирішення життєвих ситуацій з власної та інших культур. Водночас академічна мобільність є важливою для особистісного та професійного розвитку педагога, оскільки ставить його в умови аналізу та вирішення життєвих ситуацій з позиції власної та інших культур. Це сприяє розвитку вміння мислити в порівняльному аспекті; вміння обирати способи взаємодії з урахуванням особливостей іншої культури; готовність до міжкультурної комунікації; поглиблює знання про іншу культуру. Участь викладачів у програмах академічної мобільності дає їм можливість підвищувати свою кваліфікацію, постійно розвиватися професійно, знайомитися з методикою викладання в університетах за кордоном, розвивати особистісний та професійний потенціал. В Україні академічна мобільність науково-педагогічних працівників регулюється законодавством і включає відповідне оновлення державного законодавства про вищу освіту (Закон України «Про вищу освіту», постанова Кабінету Міністрів України «Положення про здійснення право на академічну мобільність»).

Opis:: The article deals with the issues of international academic mobility of students, teaching and research related to internationalization of higher education at the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University. Given the ever-increasing requirements towards the quality of higher education, Ukrainian higher education institutions (HEI) faced the problem of the need to increase competitiveness on the world market. All this indicates that international university cooperation constitutes an integral part of the existence and development of Ukrainian higher education institutions. International cooperation, academic mobility of students, participation in international educational programs and projects are the priority in the development of today’s education. Thanks to inter-university partnerships, young people study together with their peers from different countries of the world, increase their understanding of intercultural issues, and adapt to life and work in the global space.
W artykule podjęto problematykę międzynarodowej mobilności akademickiej studentów, dydaktyki i badań naukowych związanych z internacjonalizacją szkolnictwa wyższego na Wydziale Edukacji Społecznej i Psychologicznej umańskiego Państwowego Uniwersytetu Pedagogicznego im. Pawła Tyczyny. Wobec stale rosnących wymagań dotyczących jakości szkolnictwa wyższego uczelnie ukraińskie stanęły przed problemem konieczności zwiększenia konkurencyjności na rynku światowym. Wszystko to wskazuje, że międzynarodowa współpraca uczelni jest integralną częścią istnienia i rozwoju ukraińskich szkół wyższych. Współpraca międzynarodowa, mobilność akademicka studentów, udział w międzynarodowych programach i projektach edukacyjnych to priorytety dzisiejszego rozwoju edukacji. Dzięki partnerstwom międzyuczelnianym młodzi ludzie studiują razem ze swoimi rówieśnikami z różnych krajów świata, rozwijają zrozumienie międzykulturowe i przystosowują się do życia i pracy w przestrzeni globalnej. W artykule omówiono problemy i perspektywy rozwoju działalności międzynarodowej na Wydziale Edukacji Społecznej i Psychologicznej.

Opis:: W artykule podjęto próbę zbadania wpływu ograniczeń związanych z pandemią COVID-19 na szkolnictwo wyższe, przede wszystkim na jego umiędzynarodowienie, mobilność studentów oraz nauczycieli akademickich. Omówiona została istota i rodzaje zjawiska "mobilności akademickiej", w oparciu o analizę wyników badań ukraińskich i zagranicznych naukowców, a także przepisy regulujące ten obszar działalności publicznej. Dokonano krótkiego przeglądu projektów naukowych z zakresu mobilności akademickiej, zainicjowanych przez polskie instytucje państwowe i organizacje zajmujące się działalnością edukacyjną. Dokonano przeglądu danych statystycznych przedstawionych w badaniach nad wpływem pandemii COVID 19 na szkolnictwo wyższe w krajach europejskich i na świecie. Główne problemy, z jakimi stykają się studenci i naukowcy przy realizacji projektów mobilności akademickiej, zostały zidentyfikowane i uporządkowane. Przeanalizowano wyniki badań ankietowych przeprowadzonych wśród polskich szkół wyższych na temat napotykanych przez nie problemów, sposobów ich rozwiązywania oraz dalszych działań na rzecz umiędzynarodowienia edukacji w społeczeństwie. Ustalono, że środowisko akademickie odkryło możliwości, jakie oferują nowoczesne technologie i w przyszłości będą one wykorzystywane, ale nie jako jedyne, dominującą formułą współpracy będzie wariant mieszany.
The article attempts to investigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the quarantine restrictions associated with it on higher education, its internationalization, academic mobility of students and researchers, in particular. The essence, types of the phenomenon "academic mobility" are clarified, on the basis of the analysis of results of works of foreign and Ukrainians researchers, and also the regulatory legal acts regulating the specified sphere of public activity. A brief overview of scientific projects of academic mobility initiated before the pandemic, initiated by Polish government agencies and organizations engaged in educational activities. The statistics are presented in the study of the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic on higher education in European countries and the world. The main problems that students and scientists face in the implementation of academic mobility projects are identified and structured. The results of surveys conducted among Polish universities on the problems that arose in them, ways to solve them and further activities for the internationalization of education in a post-COVID society are analyzed. It has been found that the academic environment has opened up opportunities that offer modern technologies and in the future they would be used, but not the only ones, the dominant formula of cooperation will be warriors.
