Opis:
The aim of this paper was to describe the random phase of the E6 signal, the Galileo satellite navigation system. Based on the available information, mathematical models of the measurement signals of the Galileo system were created. The frequencies of individual signals were determined and their structure visualized. A block diagram of the generation of individual signals is also shown. The main contribution of the paper is the creation of a random phase model of the E6 signal from the Galileo system. In accordance with the technical data of the Galileo system, the parameters of the random phase model were determined. The simulation results confirmed that the frequency instability of the continuous signal E6 n received from the satellite is a stationary process. The short-term stability of the frequency ranges from 10-13 to 10-14. The simulation results confirmed that the Doppler effect significantly affects the random phase of the E6 signal. This phenomenon can affect the results of navigation measurements using the E6 signal. The modeling and simulation results of the random phase of the E6 signal presented in the paper can be used to evaluate the immunity of the Galileo navigation system to interference.

The present paper is aimed at sharing practical experience of organizing active interaction with Maritime English students of remote groups in conditions of permanent online teaching and learning processes. The authors explore various strategies that can be integrated into the design and development of tailored e-books and tutors’ e-courses to foster high level of Maritime English students’ online interaction. In addition, the use of modern digital tools for the successful running of e-books and e-courses is discussed as well as the role these tools play in promoting atmosphere of interaction to allow students be deeply engaged into learning activities and contribute to genuine discussion. A few aspects considered with regard to the process of designing e-books and e-courses are accessibility of learning materials, integration of design elements, and development of students’ online community, encouraging discussions and application of effective assessment methods. The study examines their experience of teaching Maritime English using Moodle and Zoom platforms. The findings of the study can be useful for educators to promote more interactive online learning.

Introduction/background: E-commerce has become one of the most important innovations in today's economy delivering significant economic value. It is not surprising, therefore, that businesses around the world operating in various industries are inclined to use e-commerce to optimise their performance. The use of e-commerce is fostered by the huge increase in internet accessibility. Businesses working on e-commerce models have the ability to deliver products to customers within a short period of time. These advantages have resulted in a high level of competition in the e-commerce industry today. Some online shops succeed and others fail. The paper looks at this problem from a business model perspective. Business models are generally oriented towards creating value for the customer, but the paper looks for its most valuable components in the context of e-commerce. Aim of the paper: The purpose of the study is to identify the business model of a successful e-commerce company. All its components are analysed, in particular the correlation between the selection factors of the online shop and the consumer values of the shop under study. The paper designs a process for creating a business model for e-commerce. Materials and methods: This paper uses materials from the master's thesis "Business models in ecommerce", defended at the Silesian University of Technology in 2022 by Justyna Koloch. A case study analysing the business model of an e-commerce company was used as the main research method. Results and conclusions: As a result, the paper shows the process of a design approach to building and testing an e-commerce business model. An overview of this process provides a glimpse into the problem of finding effective e-commerce business models. The design approach to creating a business model and the use of different schemes increases sales opportunities, attracts different types of customers and encourages collaboration to achieve success in the highly competitive e-commerce market.

During previous earthquakes around the world, it was discovered that elevated water tanks were severely damaged or collapsed. As a result, structural engineers are concerned about the analysis of these structures to gain a better understanding of the effects of seismic loads on elevated water tanks. In the current study, E-Tabs software, which is based on finite elements, is used to model various shapes of elevated water tanks along with various staging patterns. The higher stiffness of the supports in cross staging tanks makes them better than normal staging tanks, according to the results of the analysis. Furthermore, circular tanks perform better than other tank shapes when subjected to seismic loads. The study looks at water tanks subjected to static seismic loads. More research is needed to determine the analysis results for the dynamic seismic loads applied to the structure. All the analysis results are derived from the software's tank analysis results.

With new sulphur oxides emission limits carried out in 2020, multiple desulphurisation methods have been proposed. The main desulphurisation scrubber systems were chosen and investigated using life cycle assessment. The whole system life is divided into the construction and operational phases. Three different systems classified by desulphurisers, namely, seawater, NaOH, and Mg-based systems, were modelled in GaBi software. Moreover, environmental, economic and energy aspects (3E model) were introduced for further analysis. Through this study, some conclusions have been drawn. As for the environmental aspect, the seawater system has the most pleasing performance since the primary emissions come from 1.24E+03 kg CO2 and 1.48E+01 kg chloride. The NaOH system causes 1000 times more emissions than the seawater. The Mg-based system has less pollution than the NaOH system, with 5.86E+06kg CO2 and 3.86E+03 kg chloride. The economic aspect is divided into capital expenditure (CapEx) and operational expenditure (OpEx) to estimate disbursement. The seawater system also has the most favourable cost appearance, which takes 1.7 million dollars without extra desulphuriser expenses, based on 10MW engine flue gas treatment. The next is the Mg-based system, which cost 2 million dollars in CapEx and $ 1200/year in OpEx for the desulphuriser. NaOH uses about 2.5 million dollars for construction and $ 30000/year in desulphuriser. As for the energy aspect, the seawater and Mg-based systems use less non-renewable energy than the NaOH system in the construction phase. In conclusion, the seawater system shows the best performance and could be an alternative in SOx control technologies. This study sheds light on the comprehensive evaluation of marine environmental protection technologies for further optimisation.

We present a report from our preliminary research, which focused on the possibilities of implementing game elements into e-learning at university. We were interested in the attitudes and preferences of the students on the introductory course for the study of culture, where a questionnaire survey was conducted. We asked students what potential they see in the application of digital technologies in e-learning, what motivates them to study online and what advantages and limits of the educational principles of games they see in e-learning. Here we offer a description of the preliminary results that led to our next research steps. The questionnaire was distributed among students of two runs of the Introduction to the Study of Culture course at the Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University, who completed it after the final test. A total of 188 students submitted a completed form. These were bachelor students, usually in the first year of study, mostly women. We chose a freely available online tool for the analysis, our approach to data processing was non-mathematical at this stage. Nevertheless, we believe that it has enabled us to gain a direct and unmediated insight into the subject of our research. Mixed methods pragmatic rationalization of the research process traditionally refers to the complementarity of datasets and greater validity. Based on the findings, we recommend to educators and developers of the online learning environment how they could improve the design of e-learning in accordance with the needs and different learning styles of students.

This study aims to investigate the dynamics of online purchasing behavior through the analysis of a sample of students from Italy. The objective is twofold: firstly, to outline a descriptive picture of the type of relationship with the web and the use of the TAM model to highlight the propensity to use electronic commerce by the analyzed sample. An interesting evidence is the prevalence of using the Internet for social activities rather than for purchases. In fact, the propensity to purchase online is still very limited and mainly concerns cultural and tourist services rather than physical products. Mobile devices are the main devices for connecting students to the Web and, consequently, the most used for purchasing online.

Artykuł ma na celu prezentację wyników badań ankiet dotyczących narzędzia padlet. Autorzy dokonują analizy współczesnych trendów edukacyjnych, przepisów prawnych oraz badań, które wpisują się w nurt nowego modelu edukacji. Tekst zawiera opisy z wyników badań z 230 ankiet przeprowadzonych na studentach w odniesieniu do 3 kategorii.Pierwsza kategoria prezentuje wyniki ocen padletu jako narzędzia służącego do segregacji treści, druga kategoria dotyczy oceny padletu pod kątem funkcji pracy w grupie, oraz trzecia kategoria dotyczy funkcjonalności i porównania narzędzia padlet z innymi podobnymi narzędziami. Obecna sytuacja w edukacji spowodowana światową pandemią koronawirusa SARS-Cov-2 powodująca chorobę zwaną COVID-19, pokazuje słuszność ewaluacja i prezentacja wyników badań związanych z narzędziami i metodami do nauczania zdalnego jest bardzo potrzebna.
The aim of this article is to present the results of surveys concerning Padlet tool. The authors analyze contemporary trends in education, legal regulations and research, which are part of the new model of education. The text contains descriptions of research results from 230 surveys conducted on students in relation to three categories. The first category presents the results of the evaluation of Padlet as a tool for content segregation, the second category concerns the evaluation of Padlet in terms of the function of group work, and the third category concerns the functionality and comparison of Padlet tool with other similar tools. In the current educational situation caused by the global coronavirus pandemic SARS-Cov-2 causing the disease COVID-19, evaluation and presentation of research results related to distance learning tools and methods is very necessary.

The aim of this article is to investigate the characteristics of a composite fibre advanced materials used as a robotic link manipulator for replacement of rigid one. The composite material is combination of two and more fibre processed and bonded with epoxy, resulting hybrid form of material component with required properties which are to be analyzed for suitability with respect to its function, reliability, durability, safety and cost-effectiveness. The composites generally have high-strength, high-stiffness (graphite, kevlar, etc.) low-density (epoxy, polyvinyl) strong and stiff with lightweight. In this investigation, five different composite structural fibres are taken as a flexible link with joint flexibility for case study analysis. The rotating structural fibre link, loaded and tested different types of joint stiffness coefficients (kc). The numerical evaluations are conducted for structural fibre material for replacement rigid manipulator. The modeling of structural fibre single flexible link on the basis of Euler-Bernoulli beam theory and Lagrange’s equations of motion is studied and accurate modes of the system are obtained.

Nowadays, in the era of dynamically developing IT services, online shopping is becoming more and more popular all over the world. Owners of online stores, wanting to focus their activities on customer service aspects, are increasingly deciding to use logistics outsourcing to entrust many processes to specialists. This premise has become the reason for undertaking research in the area of analysis of one of the logistic models used in online stores – dropshipping. The article presents the results of the SWOT analysis and Business Model Canvas for the dropshipping logistics model. The publication also contains the results of surveys conducted among respondents running an online store using pure and partial dropshipping. The test results were processed using cardinality analyses. The summary indicates the key success factors for using this model in an online store.
W obecnych czasach, w dobie dynamicznie rozwijających się usług informatycznych, zakupy internetowe cieszą się na całym świecie coraz większą popularnością. Właściciele sklepów internetowych, chcąc skupić swoją działalność na aspektach dotyczących obsługi klienta, coraz częściej decydują się skorzystać z outsourcingu logistycznego, aby wiele procesów oddać w ręce specjalistów. Przesłanka ta stała się przyczyną podjęcia badań w obszarze analizy jednego z modeli logistycznych stosowanych w sklepach internetowych – dropshippingu. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki analizy SWOT oraz Business Model Canvas dla modelu logistycznego dropshipping. W publikacji zawarto również wyniki badań ankietowych przeprowadzonych wśród respondentów prowadzących sklep internetowy wykorzystujący dropshipping czysty i częściowy. Wyniki badań poddano obróbce za pomocą analiz liczności. W podsumowaniu wskazano kluczowe czynniki sukcesu dla stosowania tego modelu w sklepie internetowym.

The aim of this research is to determine the citizen intention on online e-government services. The unified electronic government model (UMEGA) was used in the existing study to investigate in details regarding the individual attitude towards the intention. In addition, the trust factor was investigated as per the strong recommendations of previous researchers. In total of 396 valid responses have been taken from the tax-payers citizens of the Thailand. The findings of the study revealed that the attitude and trust are strong predictor of intention and attitude mediates among the relationship of trust and intention. Furthermore, the limitations of the study along with the future recommendations are also mentioned. Finally, practical implications are also discussed.
Celem tego badania jest określenie intencji obywateli w zakresie usług administracji elektronicznej online. W istniejącym badaniu zastosowano zunifikowany model elektronicznego rządu (UMEGA), aby szczegółowo zbadać indywidualne podejście do intencji. Ponadto zbadano czynnik zaufania zgodnie z silnymi zaleceniami poprzednich badaczy. W sumie 396 ważnych odpowiedzi otrzymano od podatników będących obywatelami Tajlandii. Wyniki badania wykazały, że postawa i zaufanie są silnym predyktorem intencji, a postawa pośredniczy między relacją zaufania i intencji. Ponadto wymieniono również ograniczenia badania wraz z przyszłymi zaleceniami. Na koniec omówiono także praktyczne implikacje.

Celem artykułu była próba określenia, w jaki sposób technologie społecznościowe wpływają na powstawanie nowych modeli biznesowych w branży turystycznej. Dokonano przeglądu literatury oraz studium przypadku portalu TripAdvisor. Zaprezentowana analiza pokazała, że nowe technologie informacyjne mają duży wpływ na branżę turystyczną, zmieniając zachowania zakupowe turystów oraz sposoby funkcjonowania wielu przedsiębiorstw branży turystycznej. Dzięki nowym technologiom informacyjnym opartym na sieci Internet pojawiają się różne modele e-biznesowe, które odgrywają coraz większą rolę na rynku usług turystycznych. Firma TripAdvisor, opierając swój model biznesowy na technologiach społecznościowych, skorzystała z efektu sieciowego, co pozwoliło jej osiągnąć sukces rynkowy.
The aim of the article was to determine how social technologies influence the emergence of new business models in the tourism industry. The article reviews literature and a presents a case study of the TripAdvisor portal. The analysis presented in the article showed that new information technologies have a big impact on the tourism industry. We can observe changes in shopping behavior of tourists and the ways of functioning of many enterprises of the tourism industry. Thanks to new information technologies based on the Internet, various e-business models appear that play an increasingly important role in the tourism services market. By basing its business model on social networking technologies, TripAdvisor took advantage of the network effect which enabled it to achieve market success.

W artykule autorzy skoncentrowali się nie tyle na metodzie STEM/STEAM, ale na trudnościach jakie należy pokonać, by móc tę koncepcję skutecznie wprowadzić do polskiej szkoły. Wśród przeszkód jakie trzeba przezwyciężyć wymieniają niedostosowanie polskiej szkoły do wymagań edukacji progresywistycznej. Błędy podstawy programowej wymuszającej nauczanie wszystkich uczniów na jednym poziomie. Autorzy przestrzegają, przypominając, że na skutek złego prowadzenia wczesnoszkolnej edukacji matematycznej połowa uczniów o niższym kapitale rodzinnym – społecznym ma poważne trudności w zdobyciu zaradności matematycznej. Zatem przed STEM/STEAM w Polsce istnieją zasadniczo inne zadania niż gdzie indziej. Artykuł jest kontynuacją publikacji autorów związanych z kreowaniem uzdolnień heurystycznych oraz nauczania wiedzy poprzez doświadczenia prowadzone za pomocą metody naukowej. Stąd w następnym artykule, kontynuacji niniejszej publikacji, skoncentrują się na przykładach problemów rozwiązywanych przez dzieci za pomocą metod naukowych. Według autorów jest to propozycja przezwyciężania obecnych trudności i możliwość wprowadzenia nowych systemów nauczania, a w szczególności STEM/STEAM.
In this article, the authors focused not only on the STEM/STEAM method, but also on the difficulties which need to be overcome so that this concept can be successfully introduced to the Polish schools. Among the difficulties that need to be overcome, they mention the lack of adaptation of the Polish education to the requirements of the progressive education. The errors of the curricular frameworks force all the students to be taught on the same level. They warn that, due to the wrongly led early mathematical education, a half of the students with a lower social-family capital have serious difficulties in reaching the mathematical resourcefulness. Therefore, in Poland STEM/STEAM is facing different tasks that anywhere else. The article is the continuation of the authors’ publications connected with creating the heuristic improvements and teaching science by using experiments with the help of scientific methods. Thus, in the next article, which will be the continuation of this publication, they will focus on the examples of the issues solved by the children using scientific methods. According to the authors, it is the proposal of overcoming the current difficulties and the possibility to introduce new learning methods, especially STEM/STEAM.

Opis:
To date, the problem of acceptance of payment systems and technology from the consumer's perspective has been intensively investigated. Dahlberg et al. [1, 2] indicated diminishing need for additional research on the acceptance of payment systems by consumers. On the contrary, evaluation of adoption of payment systems by other participants of the market in the e-commerce ecosystem, in particular merchants, is still missing. This paper attempts to fill the existing gap. The objective of this paper is to propose determinants that merchants use as guidance in accepting or not a payment system. The main factors influencing the acceptance of payment systems by merchants have been defined basing on the commercially available “eXpay” system [8], as well as the TAM and UTAUT models. On this basis, a new model containing intention constructs and moderators significant from the merchants' perspective has been proposed. In the paper, the components of the model and possibilities of its application in further research are discussed.
