In this paper, we present some existence results of solutions and study the topological structure of solution sets for the following first-order impulsive neutral functional differential inclusions with initial condition: [formula] where J : = [0; b] and 0 = t0 < t1 < ... < tm < tm+1 = b (m ∈ N*), F is a set-valued map and g is single map. The functions Ik characterize the jump of the solutions at impulse points tk (k = 1, ... m). Our existence result relies on a nonlinear alternative for compact u.s.c. maps. Then, we present some existence results and investigate the compactness of solution sets, some regularity of operator solutions and absolute retract (in short AR). The continuous dependence of solutions on parameters in the convex case is also examined. Applications to a problem from control theory are provided.

Opis:
Sustainability is considered an issue of paramount importance; yet scientists andpoliticians still seek to understand what it means, practically and conceptually, tobe sustainable. This paper's aim is to introduce viability theory, a relativelyyoung branch of continuous mathematics which provides a conceptual frameworkthat is very well suited to sustainability problems.  In particular, viability theory can be used toanswer important questions about the sustainability of systems, including thosestudied in macroeconomics, and can be used to determine sustainable policies fortheir management.  The principal analytical tool of viability theory is theviability kernel which is the set of all state-space points such that it is possible for evolutions starting from each of those points to remain within the system's predetermined constraints indefinitely. Although, in some circumstances,  kernel determinationcan be performed analytically,  most practical results in viability theory rely on graphical approximations of viability kernels, which for nonlinear and high-dimensional problems can only be approached numerically. This paper provides an outline of the coreconcepts of viability theory and an overview of the numerical approachesavailable for computing approximate viability kernels.  \vikaasa{}, aspecialised software application developed by the authors and designed tocompute such approximate viability kernels is presented along-side examples ofviability theory in action in the spheres of bio-economics and macroeconomics.

The problem of asymptotic stabilization for a class of differential inclusions is considered. The problem of choosing the Lyapunov functions from the parametric class of polynomials for differential inclusions is reduced to that of searching saddle points of a suitable function. A numerical algorithm is used for this purpose. All the results thus obtained can be extended to cover the discrete systems described by difference inclusions.

We replace the Lipschitz condition on the set-valued map in the right-hand side by a weaker onesided Lipschitz (OSL), one-sided Kamke (OSK) or a continuity-like condition (CLC). We prove new Filippov-type theorems for singularly perturbed and evolution inclusions with OSL right-hand sides. In the CLC case we obtain two extended theorems, one of which implies directly the relaxation theorem. We obtain also a theorem in Banach spaces for OSK multifunctions. Some applications to exponential formulae are surveyed.

Specifically, assuming the existence of a Lipschitz selector of the involved multivalued maps we can define a nonempty subset $Z_L(ε)$ of the solution set of the singularly perturbed system. This subset is the set of the Hölder continuous solutions defined in [0,d], d > 0 with prescribed exponent and constant L. We show that $Z_L(ε)$ is uppersemicontinuous at ε = 0 in the C[0,d]×C[δ,d] topology for any δ ∈ (0,d].

In this paper, we consider the question of controllability of a class of linear and semilinear evolution equations on Hilbert space with measures as controls. We present necessary and sufficient conditions for weak and exact (strong) controllability of a linear system. Using this result we prove that exact controllability of the linear system implies exact controllability of a perturbed semilinear system. Controllability problem for the semilinear system is formulated as a fixed point problem on the space of vector measures and is concluded controllability from the existence of a fixed point. Our results cover impulsive controls as well as regular controls.

We prove the existence of solutions under both convexity and nonconvexity conditions on the multi-valued right-hand side. The nonlinearity satisfies either a Nagumo-type growth condition or an integrably boundedness one. The proofs rely on the Bonhnenblust-Karlin fixed point theorem and the Bressan-Colombo selection theorem respectively. Two applications to a problem from control theory are provided.

Let $F:[a,b] × ℝ^n × ℝ^n → 2^{ℝ^n}$ be a multifunction with possibly non-convex and unbounded values. The main result of this paper (Theorem 1) asserts that, given the multivalued boundary value problem ($P_F$)    {u'' ∈ F(t,u,u'), u(a) = u(b) = ϑ_{ℝ^n}, if an appropriate restriction of the multifunction F has non-empty and closed values and satisfies the lower Scorza Dragoni property and a weak integrable boundedness type condition, then we can substitute the problem ($P_F$) with another one ($P_G$), with a suitable convex right-hand side G, such that every generalized solution of ($P_G$) is also a generalized solution of ($P_F$) (see also Remark 1 and Corollary 1). As a consequence of our results, in conjunction with those in [13] and [18], some existence theorems for multivalued boundary value problems are then presented (see Theorem 2, Corollary 2 and Theorem 3). Finally, some applications are given to the existence of generalized solutions for two implicit boundary value problems (Theorems 4-6).

This article investigates the existence of solutions to second-order boundary value problems (BVPs) for systems of ordinary differential inclusions. The boundary conditions may involve two or more points. Some new inequalities are presented that guarantee a priori bounds on solutions to the differential inclusion under consideration. These a priori bound results are then applied, in conjunction with appropriate topological methods, to prove some new existence theorems for solutions to systems of BVPs for differential inclusions. The new conditions allow the treatment of systems of BVPs in the absence of maximum principles and growth conditions. The results are also new for differential equations involving Carathéodory or even continuous right-hand sides.

Similarly to quasidifferential equations of Panasyuk, the so-called mutational equations of Aubin provide a generalization of ordinary differential equations to locally compact metric spaces. Here we present their extension to a nonempty set with a possibly nonsymmetric distance. In spite of lacking any linear structures, a distribution-like approach leads to so-called right-hand forward solutions.
These extensions are mainly motivated by compact subsets of the Euclidean space whose evolution is determined by the nonlocal properties of both the current set and the normal cones at its topological boundary. Indeed, simple deformations such as isotropic expansions exemplify that topological boundaries do not have to evolve continuously in time and thus Aubin's original concept cannot be applied directly. Here neither regularity assumptions about the boundaries nor the inclusion principle are required. The regularity of compact reachable sets of differential inclusions is studied extensively instead.
This example of nonlocal set evolutions in the Euclidean space serves as an introductory motivation for extending ordinary differential equations (and evolution equations) beyond the traditional border of vector spaces - and for combining it with other examples in systems.

This paper is devoted to the study of a general class of optimal control problems described by delay-differential inclusions with infinite-dimensional state spaces, endpoints constraints, and multivalued initial conditions. To the best of our knowledge, problems of this type have not been considered in the literature, except for some particular cases when either the state space is finite-dimensional or there is no delay in the dynamics. We develop the method of discrete approximations to derive necessary optimality conditions in the extended Euler-Lagrange form by using advanced tools of variational analysis and generalized differentiation in infinite dimensions. This method consists of the three major parts: (a) constructing a well-posed sequence of discrete-time problems that approximate in an appropriate sense the original continuous-time problem of dynamic optimization; (b) deriving necessary optimality conditions for the approximating discrete-time problems by reducing them to infinite-dimensional problems of mathematical programming and employing then generalized differential calculus; (c) passing finally to the limit in the obtained results for discrete approximations to establish necessary conditions for the given optimal solutions to the original problem. This method is fully realized in the delay-differential systems under consideration.

This paper studies a general optimal control problem for nonconvex delay-differential inclusions with endpoint constraints. In contrast to previous publications on this topic, we incorporate time-dependent set constraints on the initial interval, which are specific for systems with delays and provide an additional source for optimization. Our variational analysis is based on well-posed discrete approximations of constrained delay-differential inclusions by a family of time-delayed systems with discrete dynamics and perturbed constraints. Using convergence results for discrete approximations and advanced tools of nonsmooth variational analysis, we derive necessary optimality conditions for constrained delay-differential inclusions in both Euler-Lagrange and Hamiltonian forms involving nonconvex generalized differential constructions for nonsmooth functions, sets, and set-valued mappings.
