    W artykule zaproponowano metodę dotyczącą automatycznej klasyfikacji wiadomości mailowych w skrzynkach pocztowych. Celem pracy jest opracowanie mechanizmu tworzenia tabel decyzyjnych ze zbiorów takich wiadomości e-mail, na których możliwe jest zbudowanie klasyfikatora, którego zastosowanie pozwala na poprawienie dokładności klasyfikacji wiadomości e-mail do folderów. Zaproponowana metoda została przetestowana na zbiorze danych Enron E-mail przy zastosowaniu wybranych algorytmów. Uzyskane wyniki potwierdzają, że użycie proponowanych rozwiązań pozwala na poprawienie dokładności klasyfikacji nowych wiadomości e-mail do folderów.
    In this article is proposed an approach to an automatic classification of e-mail messages in mailboxes. The aim of the study is to develop a method to building decision tables from the set of e-mail messages, for which it is possible to building a classifier, whose application allows to improve the accuracy of the classification of e-mail folders. The proposed method has been tested on a set of data Enron E-mail using selected algorithms. The obtained results confirm that this approach allows one to improve the accuracy with which new emails are assigned to particular folders.

    The study was conducted in a manufacturing company. The publication discusses the methodology for designing the production process using decision tables. The purpose of this article is to draw attention to the use of decision tables in production design. Production, as the main link that adds value to manufacturing companies, is the most important process within the organization. The ability to make decisions, in terms of the production process, is related to the development of the enterprise or lack thereof. Help is needed in making decisions, which should have the best effect on the functioning of the whole company and generate the highest profits. Decisions at the production stage are crucial to the operations of the whole company.

    Credibility coefficients reflect similarity of objects in respect to other ones in information systems. For decision tables we can use credibility coefficients based on decision rules. Knowledge discovery methods can extract rules from an information system. The knowledge represented by the rules may be not exact due to improper data. Calculation of credibility coefficients is based on an assumption that majority of data is correct and only a minor part may be improper. The main purpose of using credibility coefficients is to indicate to which group a particular object probably belongs. A main focus of the paper is set on an algorithm of calculating credibility coefficients and a presentation how credibility coefficients can be used. The algorithm of presented credibility coefficients is based on decision rules, which are generated using the rough set theory. Some remarks on practical results of identifying improper data by credibility coefficients are inserted in the paper as well.

    Opis:
    In the paper, we discuss nondeterministic rules in decision tables, called the second type nondeterministic rules. They have a few decisions values on the right hand side but on the left hand side only one attribute that has two values. We show that these kinds of rules can be used for improving the quality of classification. It is important in rule-based diagnosis support systems, where classification error can lead to serious consequences. The well known greedy strategy to construct the new nondeterministic rules, have been proposed. Additionally, based on deterministic and nondeterministic (second type) rules, classification algorithm with polynomial computational complexity has been developed. This rule-based classifier was tested on the group of decision tables, containing medical data, from the UCI Machine Learning Repository. The reported results of experiments showing that by combining rule-based classifier based on deterministic rules with second type nondeterministic rules give us possibility to improve the classification quality.

    In this paper an algorithm of calculating nondeterministic decision rules from the decision table was presented. The algorithm uses additional conditions imposed on rules. This is a greedy algorithm. The nondeterministic decision rules were used in the process of classification of new examples, for medical data sets. The decision tables from the UCI Machine Learning Repository were used. The achieved results allow us to state that nondeterministic decision rules can be used for improving the quality of classification.
