Artykuł to sprawozdanie z działalności 5. Wojskowego Szpitala Klinicznego z Polikliniką w Krakowie. Istnieje on od 2018 roku, kiedy Polska Komisja Likwidacyjna podjęła decyzję o przejęciu Szpitala przez odrodzone Wojsko Polskie z rąk Austriaków już w niepodległej Polsce. Szpital jest jedną z najstarszych instytucji Wojska Polskiego działającą od momentu swego powstania w tym samym miejscu. Opisano jego osiągnięcia na rok 2019 oraz rozbudowę placówki. Szpital otrzymał nagrody „Wybitna Placówka Medyczna 2019” oraz „Menadżer Roku 2019 w Ochronie Zdrowia – placówki publiczne” oraz certyfikat akredytacyjny Ministra Zdrowia.

Opis:
A method for creating linearly polarized positrons and ortho-positronium (o-Ps) atoms with the J-PET detector is presented. The unique geometry and properties of the J-PET tomography enable one to design a positron source such that the quantization axis for the estimation of the linear polarization of produced o-Ps can be determined on the event by event basis in a direction of the positron motion. We intend to use ²²Na or other β⁺ decay isotopes as a source of polarized positrons. Due to the parity violation in the beta decay, the emitted positrons are longitudinally polarized. The choice of the quantization axis is based on the known position of the positron emitter and the reconstructed position of the positronium annihilation. We show that the J-PET tomography is equipped with all needed components.

Opis:
The standard form of the positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy results presentation are two plots of o-Ps lifetime and intensity as a function of external factor, e.g. temperature, pressure. Both o-Ps parameters change (stepwise) when in the medium phase transitions occur. For a more complete picture of the structural changes occurring in the matter we suggest to use an additional plot, in the coordinates, (τ₃, I₃). The hydrocarbons are selected to show the advantages following from the presentation of the results in the intensity-lifetime (INTI) plot.

Highly porous IC3120 silica aerogel was subjected to the high pressure up to 450 MPa while the positron annihilation lifetime spectra were collected. The pressure was delivered to the investigated samples in two ways: by pistons and by gas (nitrogen) penetrating the aerogel. The evolution of all PALS parameters was discussed. With the increase of the pressure, shortening of ortho-positronium lifetimes (different, depending on the pressure method introduced) was observed. Similarity between the dependence of the longest-lived o-Ps component lifetime on the pressure, for the sample affected with nitrogen molecules and pure nitrogen was observed. It suggests, that the nitrogen fills the largest free volumes of the aerogel. The pressure exerted mechanically causes much smaller decrease of free volume available for positronium. The comparison of PALS results with the electron microscopy images, obtained after removing the pressure, confirmed that more intense and lasting changes were caused by affecting the aerogel with the pistons.

Opis:
The vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET) is subject to various attacks because of its dynamic nature and ephemeral character. In VANET, vehicles communicate with each other for safety awareness. The positioning of an unknown vehicle is one of the critical factors to determine the vehicle’s trustworthiness. Although some positioning techniques have achieved a high accuracy level in VANET, they suffer from dynamic noise in real-world environments. This drawback leads to inaccuracy and unreliability during vehicle positioning. In this paper, an optimal innovation based adaptive estimation Kalman filter (OIAE-KF) is proposed. This algorithm offers an alternative solution for the basic Kalman filter and the innovation based adaptive estimation Kalman filter (IAE-KF). The proposed algorithm makes use of fusion of the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) and the inertial measurement unit (IMU) to improve its performance. The OIAE-KF works based on the innovation sequence and involves three steps such as establishing the innovation sequence, applying the innovation property, checking the optimality of the Kalman filter and, finally, estimating process noise (Q) and measurement noise (R). An optimal swapping method is introduced for optimality check. The efficiency of the proposed OIAE-KF method is proved by comparing the predictions of the existing methods such as the IAE-KF. The results show that the OIAE-KF performs better than the existing techniques. It improves the accuracy and consistency in VANET positioning.

Opis:
This paper presents the analysis of the influence of works related to the dynamic replacement column formation on the bridge pillar and the highway embankment located nearby. Thanks to DR columns, it is possible to strengthen the soil under road embankment in a very efficient way. However, the construction of such support carries risk to buildings and engineering structures located in the neighbourhood. Therefore modelling and monitoring of the influence of the conducted works should be an indispensable element of each investment in which dynamic replacement method is applied. The presented issue is illustrated by the example of soil strengthening with DR columns constructed under road embankment of DTŚ highway located in Gliwice. During the inspection, the influence of vibrations on the nearby bridge pillar and road embankment was examined. The acceleration values obtained during these tests were used to verify the elaborated numerical model.
W artykule przedstawiono analizę wpływu robót związanych z formowaniem kolumn wymiany dynamicznej na znajdujący się w pobliżu filar mostowy oraz nasyp autostradowy. Aby uformować kolumnę, należy w pierwszej kolejności wybić w podłożu krater, który następnie jest zasypywany kruszywem grubookruchowym. W dalszej kolejności następuje zagęszczanie wsypanego kruszywa i kolejne wypełnienie krateru. Zarówno wybicie krateru, jak i zagęszczanie kruszywa wykonywane jest poprzez zrzuty ciężkiego ubijaka z dużej wysokości. W Polsce zwykle stosuje się ubijaki o masie 10 – 30 ton, które są zrzucane z wysokości 10 – 25 m. Formowanie następuje aż do uzyskania wyraźnego oporu wpędu kolumny, co objawia się zwiększeniem średnicy kolumny. Kolumny kamienne w technologii DR pozwalają na niezwykle skutecznie wzmocnienie podłoża pod nasypami drogowymi, jednak ich wykonywanie wiąże się z zagrożeniem dla pobliskich konstrukcji budowlanych i inżynierskim. Dlatego też modelowanie jak i monitorowanie wpływów prowadzonych robót na sąsiedztwo winno być nieodzowną częścią każdej inwestycji z zastosowaniem tej technologii.

The role of nonpolar optic phonon scattering and of umklapp acoustic phonon scattering is analyzed for a delocalized positronium atom in ionic crystals at elevated temperatures. At temperatures above which they become essential both of these scattering mechanisms contribute to the imaginary self-energy of positronium renormalizing its acoustic deformation potential constant. It was such a renormalization that was recently observed experimentally for delocalized positronium in MgF$\text{}_{2}$ crystal. We put forward the theoretical explanation of these experiments based upon the model of nonpolar optic phonon scattering of positronium. An effect analogous to that observed in MgF$\text{}_{2}$ is predicted for crystalline quartz above the temperature of (α-β)-phase transition.

A theoretical analysis is performed of the phenomenon of anisotropic magnetic quenching of a positronium atom formed by polarized positrons in noncubic crystals oriented with respect to an external magnetic field. An initial polarization of positrons is shown to enhance an anisotropy of Ps magnetic quenching and to decrease the strength of magnetic field in which an anisotropy is maximal. A maximal anisotropic effect has been estimated for quasi-Ps in crystalline quartz and Ps complex in naphthalene single crystal.

Coincidence Doppler broadening spectroscopy was applied to study n-hexane (C$\text{}_{6}$H$\text{}_{14}$), cyclohexane (C$\text{}_{6}$H$\text{}_{12}$) and cyclohexanone (C$\text{}_{6}$H$\text{}_{10}$O), at solid, as well as liquid states. The experiments were performed in parallel with traditional positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy. Significant positron trapping by oxygen was observed in cyclohexanone; the oxygen effect is stronger in liquid state than in solid one, which can possibly be attributed to positron solvation in polar solution. Coincidence Doppler broadening results for n-hexane and cyclohexane indicate an existence of higher energetic annihilation electrons in Ps-bubble forming liquids than that in solids.

Lors des fouilles commencées cette année à Opole, on a découvert des fragments des murs d’un château-fort aimsi que les restes d’une station plus ancienne. Ces murs remontent â diverses époques, du XIII-c au XV-e s. La station constitue la couche la plus basse du terrain étudié; on y a retrouvé des restes de chaumières et de rues, ainsi qu’une grande quantité d’objets en bois et en métal.
