Opis:
The main objective of the presented research is to verify the influence of demographic factors on retail customers’ bank selection criteria in Poland. We compiled descriptive and inferential statistics and did factor analysis using Principal Component Analysis. Our dataset is based on a sample of 515 questionnaires that were gathered in the first quarter of 2022. The results proved that there are significant differences among various groups of respondents and their bank selection criteria. The highest number of differences appear in the case of demographic factors of age, and then income and gender. In general, the most important factors are the cost of service and mobile and online banking. The study has direct implications for all types of banks that operate in developing markets, especially in East-Central Europe, as having this knowledge can help to appropriately target customers using bank selection criteria that are valued by different groups of customers.

Omnichannel as a concept was introduced to the business practice due to the development of multichannel actions and their integration. This paper aims to identify processes and phenomena occurring in an omnichannel environment in the past years (2020–2022) and their evaluation based on the literature. We used the literature review method, focusing mainly on two professional journals: Total Retail and Multichannel Merchant. Based on the literature studies, we can say that in the analysed period, the major issues discussed were the extension of customer experience and personalisation of contact, development of offered ways of delivery (including the curbside delivery or 'dock and load') and payment methods (including m-payments), the need for more frequent actualisation of POS solutions, changes in the way in which stock and supplier relations are managed, implementation of new technologies (such as headless e-commerce and Progressive Web Application [PWA]), development of contact-less shopping and further development of sustainable commerce.

Opis:
The emergence of digital banking has presented the banking industry with benefits and challenges. Although digital banking services provide customers with increased convenience and accessibility around the clock, many still struggle to grasp their ever-changing nature. To address this, a study was conducted to identify the main factors influencing the adoption of digital banking in South Africa. The study used an e-readiness framework that combined the innovation diffusion theory and trust in technology with the technology readiness index to measure consumers’ adoption of digital banking channels. The researcher applied quantitative methodology to answer the research question. The snowball sample required respondents to answer the questionnaire and pass it on to others in the network with bank accounts and mobile phones; 338 responses were accepted. Structural equation modelling was employed to test the proposed hypotheses. This study discovered that the adoption of digital banking services is influenced positively by relative advantage, observability, optimism towards technology, innovativeness and insecurity. Therefore, banks should develop user-friendly platforms with online support to encourage the adoption of digital banking. Future research can use qualitative or mixed method approaches to investigate how customers’ perceptions and personalities influence the adoption of digital in emerging markets.

Motivation: The article fills a crucial gap in the literature in the realm of investigating and understanding customer behaviour in the digital environment. Research in the field of ever-shifting digital marketing communication is fundamental. Aim: The key purpose of the research paper is to investigate the relationship between the frequency of seeing marketing messages by respondents and their market behaviour. Materials and methods: Various approaches to online marketing communication and descriptions of consumer behaviour were analysed in the theoretical framework of the article. The goal mentioned above was achieved through the survey conducted in 2020 on the sample of 461 respondents who had access to the Internet. Data were collected using a Google Form, and then the empirical data were analysed using Spearman?s correlation coefficient in Microsoft Excel application. The research involved observing the online marketing communication carried out by the surveyed entities in addition to mentioned methods. Results: The findings prove that the frequency of seeing marketing content by respondents has an impact on the Spontaneous Brand Awareness Rate, the Aided Brand Awareness Rate, the frequency of store website visits, the propensity to repurchase, and online store reviews. There is a strong relationship between the quantity and the variety of online marketing messages broadcasted by an online store and the engagement of customers in the digital activity of the online store. The research will help entrepreneurs develop future online marketing communication strategies and indicate the development of online communication toolkits. The research paper confirms the importance of maintaining a relationship with customers who shop online.

Opis:
The principal objective of this paper is to analyse the sensory impact on customer's behaviours as well as the limitations of its application. The analysis is based on the results of various international studies. It was proved that music and odours through their various characteristics may affect customers' perception of products and services as well as the perceived time passage and contribute to more money and time being spent in the establishment. The results of the study indicate that managers should allow their customers to tactually investigate their products. It was proved also that visual characteristics of an establishment and product may have an influence on customers' behaviour within the retail environment. The implementation of the sensory strategy would involve the introduction of musical, olfactory, visual and haptic cues into the brand design and/or the retailing atmosphere. However, from the environmental and social point of view, the existing law regulations ought to be taken into account while implementing such a solution.

Opis:
The Web 2.0 era and the following phases of web development bring new challenges to businesses, but also new opportunities to establish and maintain relationships with market participants, indulge in direct contact with customers and learn about their needs, emotions and opinions. The advancement of content creation and sharing technologies creates an opportunity to collect information from anyone with access to the Internet. User-generated content (UGC) information is increasingly supporting decision-making and analysis for various types of business, management or marketing activities. Such information is also increasingly used as a source of data in scientific research. The present study seeks to evaluate the relevance of UGC in scientific research and the scope and ways in which content created by Internet users can be used by researchers of phenomena existing in the service sector. To achieve this goal, a bibliometric literature review (quantitative analysis of publications, identification of research collaborators, co-author analysis, co-citation analysis and co-word analysis) was conducted covering articles between 2012 and 2022 published in journals indexed in the Scopus database. The analysis used descriptive statistics and text and content analysis. A significant increase was observed in publications between 2020 and 2022. Among the various service branches, the researchers most often chose data sets in the form of comments posted online by customers of tourism industries, mainly those using accommodation services, but also restaurants. TripAdvisor was observed to be the most frequently used data source. In their analysis, the authors used both qualitative and quantitative methods, as well as a combination of them. It is observed that more sophisticated machine learning algorithms have been implemented for text analysis. Finally, the paper also presents future research recommendations.

Opis:
The purpose of this article is to indicate, based on publications in the field of 'dysfunctional customer behaviour', the items most often cited and essential for the researchers who cite them, as well as to introduce the topics and their relationships that represent the conceptual space of 'dysfunctional customer behaviour'. The indicated objective will be realised on the basis of selected bibliometric analyses. A set of 74 items resulting from searches in two databases-Web of Science and Scopus-were used for the analyses. Based on the created database of publications in the area of 'dysfunctional customer behaviour', three analyses were carried out: citations, co-citations and co-occurrence of words. The results of the bibliometric analyses made it possible to identify the group of most frequently cited publications, isolate those that are important to the citing researchers, and approximate the topics and their relationships that represent the conceptual space of 'dysfunctional customer behaviour'.

The conduct of agricultural business is exposed to many risks, which can be mitigated in various ways. One of the solutions to minimize the risks occurring in the agricultural industry is to insure it. The main objective of the article is to determine customer behaviour in the agricultural insurance market. To the main objective, specific objectives were set to identify the respondents' possession of voluntary and compulsory agricultural insurance, to determine the level of insurance awareness of agricultural insurance buyers, and to identify the weights and types of factors influencing farmers' decisions to purchase agricultural insurance services. The research was carried out by means of a diagnostic survey with the use of a questionnaire among farmers running their farms in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and the Mazovian Voivodeship. The voluntary agricultural insurance most often chosen by buyers is property insurance, while the mandatory agricultural insurance is agricultural buildings insurance. Nearly a third of surveyed farmers rate their level of familiarity with agricultural insurance as good or very good. The most familiar insurances are compulsory insurance: agricultural buildings insurance and farmer's liability insurance. The biggest benefit that comes from having agricultural insurance is protection of assets and financial assistance in case of misfortune. Respondents most often sought information on the product offerings of insurers on the Internet and from insurance agents. The sum insured, a wide range of insurers and the amount of premium are the most frequently indicated determinants of the choice of agricultural insurance.

The theoretic deliberations about the trends have been supplemented by results of direct quantity research presenting respondents’ opinions about contemporary consumer behaviours.

In light of the significant stratification of Polish middle class, the formation of a group of people representing the "seed" Polish upper class seems to be obvious. This is a group almost totally unrecognized by economic sciences, though representing a very important segment of customers. The difficulties in the recognition of the group are not only the consequence of the lack of developmental analogies to other market economies (almost 60- year long break in functioning of this class in Poland), but also its hermetic nature. The paper will also present the major dilemmas encountered by the authoress at the stage of carrying out her research surveys.
