We live in a world where the access to knowledge has a decisive influence on our future. A large number of children in Poland have difficulties with this access, because they are raised in impoverished, excluded, poorly educated families of low social status. This phenomenon is mainly related to rural areas. Nonformal education should provide important support for formal education. Nonformal education should be organized with the cooperation of schools, kindergartens, and non-governmental organizations. The educational activities proposed for children and their parents by non-governmental organizations complement formal education. These activities are of crucial importance in the equalization of educational opportunities for children from rural areas. It is essential that these activities be planned, long-term, and a part of the entire educational program.

Currently, the idea of inclusive education is perceived as a model of education, far exceeding the idea of inclusion of students with disabilities into mainstream education. It is a vision of a school aimed at considering the needs of all students, i.e. those who exhibit no severe developmental disabilities, with special educational needs, including gifted individuals. Additionally, the scholars of inclusive education agree, that the process is neither easy nor simple. One of the determining factors indicated, is the attitude of teachers towards the very idea. Therefore, a research idea arose, aiming at examining the opinion of teachers regarding the subject of inclusive education, as a potentially dominant form of education. Recognising at least some of its determinants seemed essential. The following article focuses on two of the aforementioned: types of institutions, where the teachers are employed, and the teachers’ professional experience. The research encompasses integrated preschools. It seems that the experience of teachers of such institutions proves particularly significant for recognising the chances and dangers of inclusive education, within the context of Polish integration experience. The two professional groups distinguished, with substantial and minor professional experience, allow to examine the perspective of inclusive action.

Celem artykułu jest analiza treści i metod akademickiego kursu przygotowanego dla studentów kierunków katechetycznych, zatytułowanego „Teologia stworzenia i etyka ekologiczna”. Teoretyczną inspiracją kursu jest przede wszystkim encyklika Laudato si’ Papieża Franciszka, która daje głębszą  podstawę dla etyki ekologicznej niż etyka świecka, również pokrótce przypomniana w artykule. Wywód prowadzi do wniosku, że nowe inicjatywy katechezy ekologicznej są potrzebne dla kształtowania chrześcijańskiego, a zarazem zgodnego ze stanem współczesnej wiedzy naukowej, stosunku do środowiska naturalnego, zaś przedstawiony kurs może pomóc w przygotowaniu przyszłych katechetów do realizacji tego zadania.
The aim of the article is to analyze the content and methodology of the academic course prepared for students of catechetics, entitled "Theology of creation and moral ecology".  The course is inspired primarily by Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato si', which provides a deeper foundation for ecological ethics than secular ethics, also briefly recalled in the article. The argumentation leads to the conclusion that new initiatives of ecological catechesis are needed to shape the Christian attitude towards the natural environment,  which at the same time is consistent with the state of modern scientific knowledge.  The course presented in the paper may help in preparing future catechists for this task.

W badaniach ankietowych, przeprowadzonych online na grupie 222 osób, oceniano popularność enoturystyki wśród polskiego społeczeństwa oraz uwarunkowania i możliwości jej rozwoju. Badania wykazały, że turystyka winiarska nie należy do popularnych form wypoczynku wśród Polaków, tym niemniej ma ona pewne szanse rozwoju. Przede wszystkim potrzebna jest w tym celu większa współpraca właścicieli winnic z podmiotami branży turystycznej, m.in. biurami podróży, hotelami, restauracjami. Konieczna jest też odpowiednia promocja enoturystyki przez władze samorządowe w porozumieniu z organizacjami winiarskimi i innymi podmiotami zainteresowanymi jej rozwojem w Polsce.
In surveys conducted online on a group of 222 people was evaluated the popularity of wine tourism among Polish society and the conditions and possibilities of its development. The research show that wine tourism is still not very popular form of leisure among the Poles, but has a chance to expand. The most important activity of expanding polish wine tourism is cooperating vineyard owners and tourism industry companies such as travel agencies, hotels, restaurants. It is necessary to promote wine tourism by local governments in agreement with the wine organizations and other companies interested with expanding it in Poland.

One of the main concerns of Tony Blair’s policy and his New Labour Party agenda was focused on the values which always played a fundamental role within the British labour tradition. According to Blair, the policy is a matter of values, among which he points to social justice, international solidarity, democracy and freedom. All of them have always sketched the moral stricture of the traditional program of social democracy. The list of those values he completes with the following new ones: a civil society, equal value of all people, equal chances, patriotism and well-being. Blair’s political project, called the third way, was planned to bring about the country’s modernization in the face of rapid global changes. The basic purpose of the article is to present the place of the value system within the program of the British New Labour Party. New Labour axiology was supposed to play a fundamental role not only within the concept of society, but also infiltrate all spheres of political and economical life.

The aim of this article is to analyse the opportunities and threats generated by the Chinese investment activity in the EU (including Poland), and also possibilities to counter its potential negative consequences. In recent years, the interest of Chinese companies to invest in the European market has grown significantly. In all likelihood this tendency can be a constant trend in the near future. Apart from economic benefits generated by the Chinese investment, there are also some possible threats and risks related to this activity. Polish policy-makers should also be more aware of these issues. Although the present activity of Chinese enterprises in Poland has been relatively small, China seems to be interested to increase its economic presence in Central and Eastern Europe, and Poland is considered as a leading country in the region.
Celem artykułu jest analiza szans i zagrożeń, które generuje chińskie zaangażowanie inwestycyjne w państwach Unii Europejskiej, a także możliwości przeciwdziałania jego ewentualnym negatywnym konsekwencjom. Ostatnie lata przyniosły ze sobą wyraźny wzrost zainteresowania przedsiębiorstw z Chińskiej Republiki Ludowej podejmowaniem działalności inwestycyjnej w państwach Unii Europejskiej. Można przy tym zakładać utrzymanie się tej tendencji w najbliższym czasie. Poza korzyściami ekonomicznymi, które generuje chińskie zaangażowanie inwestycyjne, wskazuje się także na pewne zagrożenia z tym związane. Problem ten powinien stać się także obiektem zainteresowania polskich decydentów. Mimo relatywnie niewielkiej dotychczas aktywności chińskich przedsiębiorstw w Polsce, Chiny wydają się być zainteresowane zwiększeniem obecności gospodarczej w Europie Środkowo-Wschodniej, Polską traktując jako lidera państw regionu.

Ostatnie 120 lat było okresem bardzo gwałtownych przemian społecznych, jakich doświadczyło polskie społeczeństwo. Musiało przetrwać dwie wojny, odzyskiwanie niepodległości, odbudowę po okresie zaborów, po II wojnie światowej i upadku komunizmu. Na to nałożyły się procesy zmian zachodzących w skali globalnej, rewolucji w sferze polityki (ideologii), gospodarki, kultury przyspieszane i wzmacniane przez rewolucję naukową i technologiczną. Pojawia się pytanie, jaki miały one wpływ na świadków i uczestników tych przemian? Jak wpłynęły na ich losy? Oczywiście doświadczały ich różne pokolenia, o odmiennych doświadczeniach życiowych, kulturowych. Być może inaczej się w te procesy angażowały. Przedmiotem tego artykułu są doświadczenia pokoleń młodych w momentach przełomów. Temu poświęcono niniejszy tekst. Będzie miał charakter eseju, opartego o publikacje socjologów i doświadczenia autora. Nastawiono się raczej na stawianie pytań niż formułowanie odpowiedzi.
In the last 120 years, Polish society has experienced very rapid social changes. It has survived two wars, the regaining of independence, post-partition reconstruction, WorldWar II and the collapse of communism. On top of that, there have been processes of change taking place on a global scale, revolutions in the sphere of politics (ideology), economy and culture, which have been accelerated and strengthened by scientific and technological revolutions. This raises the question: what impact did they have on the witnesses and participants in these transformations? How did they affect their fate? Obviously, they have been experienced by different generations, who had different life experiences or cultural experiences. They might have engaged in these processes differently. This article is concerned with the experiences of youth generations at moments of breakthroughs. This is what this text is devoted to. It is an essay, based on the publications of sociologists and the author’s experience. The focus was on asking questions rather than giving answers.

Rosa and Carolina Agazzi understood and realised equalising life and educational chances from neglected rural environments though creating nursery schools destined for them and starting early childhood education for the greatest possible number of children. In the institution established by them in the town Mompiano though stimulation of the development of child they aimed at evolving and controlling key life skills indispensable for effective coping with the next stage, which is school education. It concerned cognitive, emotional, social and physical aspect. Due to interesting methods of conducting classes, children not only learned definite information and became more unassisted and creative, as well as they better managed with solving conflicts, were more open and active. In realising the mission of the nursery school the particular roleis attributed to a teacher. He/she was required to be creative, active in searching new and more absorbing forms of teaching and encouraging children to search, cooperate and arousing interest about the world.
artykule skupiono się na niektórych działaniach Róży i Karoliny Agazzi, które w poszukiwaniu różnych metod i form wspierających wszechstronny rozwój rozwijały umiejętności dzieci umożliwiające im osiągnięcie sukcesu w szkole, tym samym wyrównując ich szanse edukacyjne i życiowe. Należy przy tym zaznaczyć, że same co prawda nigdy nie używały określenia „wyrównywanie szans edukacyjnych”, a mimo to – dzisiaj można by rzec intuicyjnie – zwróciły uwagę na konieczność wszechstronnego rozwijania umiejętności dziecka umożliwiających mu w późniejszym okresie osiągnięcie sukcesu w szkole.

In the era of widespread informatisation of society, one can often observe an increase of family life's co-existence in the virtual reality. Family cannot stay indifferent towards the constantly developing Internet or virtual space created by it. The family existing and functioning in the World Wide Web receives significant opportunities resulting from staying in that reality. However, there are also numerous threats constituting hazards and serious difficulties in the functioning of the family in that net. Together with the opportunities and the threats, there are certain challenges to family is able to exist and function on purely family-oriented values such as love, honesty and trust.

For a few years in Poland there have appeared attempts to create a partnership for the benefit of children. Actions took up for this purpose are aimed at equalizing life chances of children threatened by social marginalisation and exclusion by actions oriented directly on children and by intensifying the already existing welfare system through creating local coallitions and popularising street pedagogy. United Way Foundation executes a model of work, proofed in many countries worldwide, based on a cooperation of three sections: business self-government authorities, non-government organisations with a support of scientific milieu and the media. However, the knowledge of this subject is still insufficient and the phenomenon of children of a street is commonly associated with problems of the Third World. This text is an attempt to address a question whether actions took up by the street pedagogues are a response to children’s living in dysfunctional families problems and assessing what kind of response it is. In the first part of the text, the author shows the results of research on the identity of children of the street, their ways of understanding the world, and assumptions made by street children about the world and their strategies of functioning built on this base. In the second part of the text the author analyses the adequacy and efficacy of help forms directed to this group of youth and analyzes in detail the fundamental assumptions of street pedagogy.

Agenda 2030 jest niezwykle potrzebną i pilną globalną strategią rozwoju zrównoważonego, w celu zadowalającego rozwoju indywidualnych osób, grup społecznych, krajów, czy niektórych, zwłaszcza zapóźnionych w rozwoju, rejonów świata. Najpilniejszym i najważniejszym, według nas, jest realizacja celu 13 Agendy, tj. hamowanie niekorzystnych zmian klimatycznych. Niestety, wydaje się, że niemożliwa jest pełna realizacja celów Agendy, ze względu na jej koszty, na niekorzystne uwarunkowania polityczno-gospodarcze oraz militarne, nasilającą się migrację i potrzebę jej finansowania. Niektóre wysoko i względnie wysoko rozwinięte kraje mogą nie być w stanie wspierać finansowo globalnego rozwoju zrównoważonego, ze względu na coraz słabszą kondycję finansową na tle stale rosnących globalnych finansów korporacyjnych i problemy wewnętrzne, np. zadłużenie i kryzys w całej gospodarce lub w jej niektórych sektorach, potrzebę zwiększania wydatków między innymi na obronność. Oceniamy, że największe szanse stabilnego rozwoju zrównoważonego istnieją w Europie, zwłaszcza w państwach Europejskiego Obszaru Gospodarczego.
Agenda 2030 is an extremely necessary and urgent sustainable global development strategy, to the satisfactory development of individuals, social groups, countries, and some, especially underdeveloped, regions of the world. The most urgent and most important task, in our opinion, is the implementation of the Agenda 13, i.e. the inhibition of adverse climate change. Unfortunately, it seems that it is impossible to fully achieve the objectives of Agenda, due to its cost, but also because of the unfavorable political, economic and military condition which increase migration and the need to finance its stabilization. Some high and relatively highly developed countries may not be able to financially support global sustainable development, due to the ever weakening financial condition on the background of ever-increasing global corporate finance and due to internal problems, eg. the debt and crisis in the whole economy or in some of its sectors, the need to increase defense spending. We estimate that the best chance of a stable sustainable development exists in Europe, especially in countries of the European Economic Area.

The concept and practice of sustainable development should be considered in their system framework, context and spheres in which they function. Sustainable development ought to have such features like realism and practicality. Meanwhile the present ecological discourse is very differentiated and often embroiled in the unrealistic assumptions and hopes. EU integration has set challenges for the regions in the Eastern Poland, especially in the field of economic development to minimalize internal differences on the one site, but also it needed to improve the new methods of cooperation between the public entities located in the border area on the field of public tasks . Podkarpackie Voivodship in Poland is the one of the regions in which you recorded the lowest indexes of development. The tool to improve the situation is appropriate development planning taking into account the potential of location and cross-border cooperation .The article presents the legal basis and real course of the cross-border coopera-tion in Podkarpackie Voivodship . Formal possibilities are the associations and others contractual forms permitted under national law. Regional authorities use all available instruments including the financial support from EU programs . Effectiveness of this activity is changed and is subject of various restriction. One of the most important changes, positive, is the assumption of the territorial allocation of founds dedicated to support areas located on the eastern border of EU in the perspective 2014-2020 and inclusion of cooperation in a number of development priorities set out in strategic documents.

W siedmiu kadencjach polskiego sejmu po 1991 r. i w sejmie kontraktowym nie było reprezentacji kobiet tożsamej z podziałem społeczeństwa według płci. Statystycznie we wszystkich kadencjach było 18% parlamentarzystek. Przedmiotem analizy w prezentowanym materiale są determinanty, które ograniczają lub przeciwnie – uprawdopodabniają szanse wyborcze kobiet na polskiej scenie politycznej, a dokładniej w jednej z izb parlamentarnych, w sejmie. Wśród przywoływanych czynników są zmienne demograficzne dotyczące m.in. miejsca zamieszkania, wieku, wykształcenia, dalej zmienne związane z kontekstem politycznym, reprezentowaną partią lub grupą wyborców, prowadzoną kampanią wyborczą, ale także dotyczące życia prywatnego, rodzinnego. Źródłami pozwalającymi weryfikować hipotezę o niemerytorycznych ograniczeniach szans wyborczych kobiet są biogramy parlamentarzystek, archiwa sejmowe rejestrujące formy aktywności parlamentarnej oraz wypowiedzi prasowe.
During seven terms of the Polish Sejm after 1991, as well as in the Contract Sejm, there was no representation of females that would reflect gender division in society. Statistically in all the terms, women constituted 18% of all members of parliament. The subject of the analysis in the presented material are determinants limiting, or, on the contrary, substantiating women’s electoral chances in the Polish political landscape; more precisely, within one of parliamentary chambers, namely Sejm. The mentioned factors include demographic variables involving, among others, place of residence, age, education, as well as variables regarding political context, represented political party or voter groups, a conducted electoral campaign, but also those concerning private, family life. Biographies of female members of parliament, Sejm archives registering the forms of parliamentary activity and press releases constitute the sources that allowed to verify the thesis regarding non-factual limitations of women’s electoral chances.
