Opis:
Eine der universellen Kategorien beim Konzeptualisieren der Umwelt ist der Vergleich. Obwohl sich der Prozess des Vergleichs in der Regel nach ähnlichen Modellen realisiert, die in den entsprechenden Spracheinheiten einen weiteren Ausdruck finden, kategorisiert jede Kultur die Welt anders. Notwendig sei dabei die Untersuchung von Anthroponymen. Darunter versteht man besondere Menschenbezeichnungen, d. h. Personeneigennamen oder eine Reihe von allen möglichen Variationen mit einem Namen. Anthroponyme können wie andere Spracheinheiten in Vergleichsmodellen verwendet werden und auf diese Weise liefern sie ein umfangreiches empirisches Material. Am Beispiel der politischen Anthroponyme Willy Brandt, Helmut Kohl und Gerhard Schröder werden Ergebnisse der Analyse von Vergleichsmodellen im politischen Diskurs präsentiert.
Today’s linguistics deals increasingly with linguocultural as well as linguocognitive aspects of language existence. One of the universal categories of conceptualizing the world is comparison. Although there are similar comparative models, each culture categorizes the world differently. Anthroponyms, which are person’s names, can also be used in comparative models like other language units. The wide variety of examples of comparison with anthroponyms in the mass media makes this topic suitable for further analysis. The language potential of the political anthroponyms Willy Brandt, Helmut Kohl und Gerhard Schröder, who are known as the most important politicians in German and European history in the 20th century and at the turn of the century, is to be analyzed in this paper.

Opis:
In this paper, we use non-invariant Fourier descriptors to derive transformation variables which allow us to optimally localize and reorient robot-generated maps based on the map shapes in order to determine, in an automated way, the accuracy of the generated maps. Our method uses only 4 simple calculations for alignment, therefore is extremely fast and gives a very good optimization for data maps that contain consistent, high frequency noise. A drawback to this method is occlusions in the map which affect the low frequency Fourier descriptors and cause localization and orientation errors. Preprocessing and optimization can help minimize these drawbacks. This application can be easily adapted to other areas such as image comparison or fault detection.

Nowadays, there is a common tendency to seek simpler and faster solutions that could be used in a process of software development. At the same time two other trends can be observed - rapid increase of mobile applications popularity and introducing IT concepts to non-IT specialists. This is why App Inventor 2 is one of the tools that software development community is interested in. The goal of this paper is to verify the possibility of using App Inventor as a tool for creating personal applications and compare it with possibilities given by Java, which is a native environment for Android platform. Comparison was based on application for managing personal text notes which was created in both solutions. The application had the same layout as well as analogical code, and it was the subject of performance tests followed by a survey. Performance test revealed that both implementations provided efficiency which is good enough for everyday use and small size personal applications. Survey participants preferred application built in Java due to its better responsiveness and visual appearance. Concluding, current shape of App Inventor, makes it useless for professionals, but useful for non-IT specialists for creating personal applications.

The paper discusses the comparisons between people and their behaviour in Melchior Wańkowicz's reports. The subject-matter of our analysis are full and exemplary comparisons based on the scheme Cd:R:Tc:Ct. In the material under study they constitute a very small percentage, including comparisons which completely diverge from the full scheme, with the omission of elements and word order untypical of the Polish language. The function and manner of expressing Tc and exposed here. Tc refers, as a rule, to the knowledge and experience of the reader, his feelings or stereotypes encoded in subconsciousness. The division into individual, singular, phraseologized comparisons becomes also essential; they occur in the language of a common polish user.

There are many replacements of headlamps on the market. Offered replacements parts should be “identical” as original and type approved. In fact it means that should have similar to original outside appearance and mounting fixtures and external size allowing for replace original one. From legal point of view to be placed in vehicle replacement headlamp should be type approved. Most important aftermarket criterion is low price. They are often offered for half or even less of original components price. From the other side the replacements can have less performance than original. When final customer want to make comparison between original and aftermarket headlamp it is a problem because there is no standard procedure or information allowing to compare performance. Similar problem have components wholesalers or end sellers. It is also important for traffic safety because many of contemporary headlamps meet some type approval requirements with significant surplus. To try solve this problem was developed method on the base measurements done using “Headlights’ analyser”. This device allow for measurements of illumination distribution of beam pattern. Appropriate analysis of recalculated illuminance can give important information allowing for comparison beam patterns of different headlamps, especially replacement. This method is based on as much as possible identical aiming of each headlamp using analytical finding of cut-off line than comparing important characteristics of road illumination and glare.

Die Autorenmanier von Pjotr Jakubowitsch-Melschin, eines der bedeutendsten Schriftsteller der Jahrhundertwende XIX–XX, der in seinen Werken das Thema der zaristischen Zwangsarbeit behandelte, kennzeichnet sich durch die Verbindung eines publizistischen Gedankens mit einer literarischen Verallgemeinerung. Beachtenswert ist dabei, dass ein charakteristisches Merkmal der Tagebücher eines sibirischen Sträflings eine ausnehmend genaue Beschreibung des Helden und seiner Umwelt ist, sowie seiner Handlungen, Gesten, Verlangen, moralischen Einstellungen und seines Seelenzustands. Das ganze Stilmittelsystem der Tagebücher ist darauf gerichtet, ein vollständiges Bild der Schelajer Zwangsarbeit zu entwerfen, zu der Vertreter fast aller Nationen des zaristischen Russlands verschickt worden sind. Im Artikel wurde eins von in den Tagebüchern dominierenden Stilmitteln analysiert und nämlich der Vergleich, insbesondere der gemeinsprachliche Vergleich. Zwischen den gemeinsprachlichen Vergleichen wurden u.a. feste Vergleiche und Vergleiche der Schablonenhaftigkeit unterschieden. Sie zeigen die Tendenz zur Universalität und deshalb bildet die Analyse nicht so Klassifikation als Typologie der Beispiele. Es wurde darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass die gemeinsprachlichen Vergleiche in den Tagebüchern ein interessantes Forschungsmaterial bilden, und bewusste Anwendung vom Schriftsteller der auf volkstümlicher Grundlage aufgebauten Vergleiche zeugt von einer scharfsinnigen Einstellung zum Schatz von Volkssprache und von der Einmaligkeit seines Idiostils.

W artykule przedstawiono rezultaty porównania szybkości tworzenia kodu i ładowania projektów w różnych frameworkach w celu zbadania, który z nich wydaje się być najlepszym wyborem w dłuższej perspektywie czasu. Analizę przeprowadzono pod kątem badania eksperymentalnego, wykonania oprogramowania przykładowego projektu oraz badania literaturowego. Przeprowadzone porównanie pozwoli wskazać framework o lepszej wydajności i prostszy w wykorzystaniu.
This article presents the results of comparing code developing speeds and project loads across different frameworks to explore which of them seems to be the best choice in the long time. The analysis was carried out in terms of the exploratory study, the design of the sample project and the literature review. Comparison will make it possible to point to a better performance framework and prolong its use.

Two mathematical formulas for assessing the efficiency of seed mixture separation were analyzed. Increases in the crop seed yield and the efficiency of impurity separation were accompanied by higher seed separation efficiency regardless of the adopted formula. One of the examined formulas carried more information, and it could be used to determine the improvement in the purity of the separated product relative to the raw material. The difference in the analyzed formulas’ ability to determine the efficiency of seed separation was minimized when the separation process was more efficient, i.e. when the value of partial indicators of separation efficiency was closer to 1. Both formulas could be successfully used to describe seed separation efficiency because in most practical applications, the error generated by the evaluated formulas did not exceed 1.5%.

Practically everywhere around the world we encounter some form of conflict. The different views, needs, values (whether individuals or the whole society) are causing contradicts in different areas of our lives. Clearly, the conflict is a vital component of the society's life, and each of us was most likely a part of a larger or lesser conflict during his/her life. Conflict is a natural part of our lives which will push us further. Sociology is the study of social relationships, social interaction and culture of everyday life and one of the basic principles says that a constant conflict is vital for society where in the end new balance in the life is found. Mediation is an effective tool for dealing with these conflicts which is mostly used in resolving litigation, but there are other areas of use for mediation, which will be further explained in this document. Although mediation has been placed in our legal relatively recently, it has a rich history and firm place in the life of society. The new history of mediation goes back to the eighteenth century, when this was used as a tool to prevent expensive and time-consuming litigations. The institutionalized form of mediation was introduced for the first time at the beginning of the last century in the United States. Although directive 2008/52/EC of the European Parliament and Council from 21 May 2008 on certain aspects of mediation in civil and commercial matters should ensure a certain unity of national arrangements it is clear, that individual countries have different approach to legislative matters. I believe that it will be interesting to compare our legislation with the other countries but given the scope of the article I will focus only on the few selected states.

The author discusses three different cases, in which the expression jak na _ can be observed. The first one, a language unit jak na _s, indicates in what situation what is being said is true about something. It is also detached from a sentence, keeping no syntactic relation with any of its elements and being prosodically separated from it. Similar prosodic and syntactic features are shown also by one of the subtypes of the third case, ie. a language unit jak na _em.. Its semantic specialization is correlated with the restrictions imposed on fillers of its valency slot. The second type, a comparative construction _ jak _ with a verbal filling on the left and prepositional phrase with na on the right, is one of the realisations of a comparative pattern with certain collocations stabilizing due to common cultural images. The subtype two of the third case, jak na + instruction-nouns, is half way through lexicalization. It is only partially possible to predict what units fill its valency slot, jak can be exchanged by jakby and its position is not yet stable, which shows that this expression is not stabilized in its new function.
Autorka omawia trzy przypadki użycia ciągu jak na _. Po pierwsze, wyróżnia jednostkę jak na _s, która wskazuje, w jakiej sytuacji to, co jest mówione, jest prawdziwe o czymś. Jednostka ta wraz ze swoim uzupełnieniem tworzy odrębną frazę wydzieloną prozodycznie i syntaktycznie niepowiązaną z kontekstem. Podobne cechy prozodyczne i składniowe wykazuje  podtyp kolejnego przypadku – jednostka jak na _NEG.. Jej specjalizacja semantyczna jest skorelowana z ograniczeniami nałożonymi na rzeczownik wypełniający jej miejsce walencyjne. Po drugie, autorka wyróżnia komparatywne _ jak _ z wypełnieniem czasownikowym po lewej i frazą przyimkową z na po prawej stronie. Autorka zauważa, że określone wypełnienia tego modelu stabilizują się na mocy kulturowych przyzwyczajeń. Po trzecie wreszcie, autorka omawia wyrażenie, które nadal znajduje się na drodze do leksykalizacji: jak na otwierające miejsce dla rzeczowników odczasownikowych nazywających akty wyrażania woli. W tym wypadku możliwość przewidzenia wypełnienia miejsca walencyjnego jest połowiczna jak może zostać wymienione na jakby, a pozycja całości w zdaniu nie jest ustabilizowana.

This research focuses on the impact of social media (SM) on their users’ behaviour vis-a-vis their decision to purchase goods and services online as well as their attitudes towards these media. The theoretical framework was grounded in the literature of consumers’ behaviour and their interaction with the digital media with a special focus on individual socio-demographics (age and gender). The literature overview allowed the construction of the research hypotheses taking into account the personal traits and the social media usage in terms of consumer activities. The empirical testing of the hypotheses was performed with quantitative methods of analysis applied to a dataset of SM users from six different countries (Poland, China, Spain, Germany, Turkey and US). Findings have shown that SM preferences and their frequency of use have different impacts on consumer behaviour both depending on individual characteristics. Some implications for business managers and marketeers are discussed.
