    Scientists from all over the world recognize that saving energy in households is currently a very relevant topic. Energy resources are a very important factor for each country's economic vitality. Not only the country's replenishment in energy resources is important, but also the reduction of energy consumption volume. The Objective of the study: to assess the energy savings in households potential, applying the measures aimed at the behavior change of the population through energy-saving direction. Methodology: yhe impact of behavior change of the population measures is assessed according to the criteria of efficiency and effectiveness. In order to assess the potential for energy savings in households, the following methods, such as an experiment, the control group formation scenario, household questionnaire, were used. The questionnaire was designed to supplement the experiment, in order to gain deeper knowledge of the household, to obtain more detailed information about the nature of the behavior, to identify barriers to behavior change, and to select a control group of households to carry out the experiment. Data, results and main contribution of the paper: research shows that people's behavior related to energy saving is influenced by a number of macro-level and micro-level factors. In the article, the assumptions of the changing behavior of population are analyzed and the specific measures aimed at the behavior changes of the population selection and implementation impact assessment.

    Opis:
    Motivated by the integrated complexity of real-time intelligent control and optimization of industrial/manufacturing processes, this paper discusses hybrid modelling and asymptotic periodic behavior of a class of switched discrete event systems, and shows how to evaluate the asymptotic performance/efficiency of such systems. We prove that, under some mild conditions, the switched discrete event system will achieve asymptotic periodic dynamics, and its performance/efficiency can be evaluated by calculating the eigenvalue of certain matrix in max-plus algebra. Illustrative examples are provided.

    Cel i zakres: Tematem artykułu jest wykazanie zasadności stosowania pracy partycypacyjnej w trakcie szkolenia pracowników w organizacji. Możliwości takiej pracy dają wszechstronny wachlarz ewaluacji już w trakcie trwania szkolenia, z bezpośrednim nawiązaniem do środowiska pracy osób szkolonych. Artykuł zawiera zasady, jakimi osobiście kieruje się w przygotowaniach do przeprowadzenia szkolenia. Porusza tematy dotyczące analizy zachowań uczestników szkolenia oraz wskazuje na metody wzmacniania oraz sposobów niwelowania zachowań niepożądanych, które stanowią zagrożenie dla samego wzmacniania. Materiał i metody: Materiałem jest problematyka skutecznego szkolenia pracowników organizacji oraz zasady, jakimi należy się kierować stosując metodę szkolenia partycypacyjnego. Wskazuje na formy oddziaływania wobec pracowników poprzez wzmocnienie i niwelowanie zachowań trudnych. Wyniki: Znajomość problematyki szkoleń partycypacyjnych wpływa na szybszy rozwój pracownika oraz umożliwia uniknięcie niepożądanych zachowań. Wniosek: Uczestnik szkolenia wzmacniającego otrzymuje narzędzia w postaci wiedzy i umiejętności, które w sposób bezpośredni może przenieść w środowisko pracy.
    Abstract: The theme of the article is to demonstrate the legitimacy of participatory work during the training of employees in the workplace. The possibilities of such work provide a comprehensive range of evaluation during the training, with direct reference to the work environment of the trainees. The article contains the principles that I personally use to conduct training. The article explores themes relating to analyze the behavior of participants and refers to methods of strengthening and ways of eliminating unwanted behaviors. Material and methods: The material is the issue of effective training of the employees of the organization and the principles to be guided by the method of participatory training. Indicates the ways in which employees interact by reinforcing and eliminating difficult behaviors. Results: Knowledge of the issues of participatory training influences the faster development of the employee and allows to avoid undesirable behaviors. Conclusion: The trainee will be equipped with the tools - knowledge and skills - that can be applied directly in the workplace.

    While serpent symbolism is common in many religious traditions, few traditions have including the actual handling of serpents that can maim and kill in their rituals. Two exceptions are various Manasa sects common in India and the serpent handlers of Appalachia in America. We presented brief descriptions of each of these traditions along with videos of the handling of serpents in each tradition under three degrees of risk, video with no serpents, video with serpents but no bites, video with serpents and bites. Under a fourth condition only for the Appalachian handlers, the video showed a handler dying from a bite. American, largely Christian participants rated assessed each condition for ritual quality and perceived legitimacy. As predicted, serpent handling in America was perceived as less legitimate than serpent handling in India. No differences were found between perceived legitimacy and level of risk except in the condition where a handler was seen dying from a bite.

    The paper presents the results of an evaluation (N = 400) of The Green School program – the Slovak version of the international Eco-Schools program. The goal of the evaluation was to assess whether pupils from schools awarded the Green Flag demonstrated a higher level of pro-environmental behaviour and interpreted the program in a different way in comparison with pupils from schools which were new in the program. The results suggested that the certification system led teachers to misinterpretation of the program and did not motivate them to adequate involvement of pupils. On the basis of the evaluation, the national program coordinator introduced a new certification system and a system of consultants who help interpret the program to teachers.

    Background. Theoretical models of behavior change focus on psychological constructs, including intention and self-efficacy, but they do not consider the role of stressors. In this study, the impact of home confinement was explored as an external stressor on mental health, sleep, loneliness, tiredness, and behavior of children during the coronavirus disease of the 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Material and methods. Ten children aged 7-17 years who were restricted at home for at least one month during the COVID-19 outbreak were included. Semi-structured interviews with children were conducted to elicit their feelings, reflections, and responses to home confinement during the COVID-19 pandemic. The children expressed that they felt lonely and tired at home “sometimes” to “most of the time”. Results. The children had no sleep status quality as before the COVID-19 outbreak, including difficulty in falling asleep, insomnia, and hypersomnia. Most children had depression and anxiety symptoms with different severities. The children were irritable, aggressive, or nervous at home. Only one child reported that she was more active and had positive changes compared with before. Most children experienced some degree of conflict with their parents or siblings. Conclusions. This study found that some children were affected by different kinds of emotional issues at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
    Wprowadzenie. Teoretyczne modele zmiany zachowań koncentrują się na konstruktach psychologicznych, w tym intencji i poczuciu własnej skuteczności, ale nie uwzględniająroli stresorów. W niniejszej pracy zbadano wpływ zamknięcia w domu jako zewnętrznego stresora na zdrowie psychiczne, sen, samotność, zmęczenie i zachowanie u dzieci podczas pandemii koronawirusa – COVID-19. Materiał i metody. W badaniu uwzględniono dziesięcioro dzieci w wieku 7-17 lat, które pozostawały w domach przez co najmniej jeden miesiąc podczas pandemii COVID-19. Przeprowadzono półstrukturalne wywiady z dziećmi, aby uzyskać informacje na temat ich uczuć, przemyśleń i odpowiedzi na zamknięcie w domu podczas pandemii COVID-19. Dzieci przekazały, że czują się samotne i zmęczone pozostając w domach, przy częstotliwości od „czasem” do „przez większość czasu”. Wyniki. Dzieci nie wykazywały takiej jakości snu jak sprzed wybuchu pandemii COVID-19, zgłaszając między innymi trudności z zasypianiem, bezsenność i nadmierną senność. U większości dzieci występowały objawy depresji i lęku o różnym nasileniu. W domu dzieci były drażliwe, agresywne lub nerwowe. Tylko jedno dziecko podało, że było bardziej aktywne i doświadczyło pozytywnych zmian w porównaniu z okresem wcześniejszym. Większość dzieci doświadczyła w jakimś stopniu konfliktu z rodzicami lub rodzeństwem. Wnioski. W badaniu stwierdzono, że niektóre dzieci zostały dotknięte różnymi rodzajami problemów emocjonalnych w domu podczas pandemii COVID-19.
