Opis:
Most of the surveyed lettuce field plantations in central region of Poland were shown to be virus infected. Percentage of infected plants was however low. Five viruses have been isolated and identified, namely lettuce mosaic potyvirus (LMV), dandelion yellow mosaic sequivirus (DYMV), lettuce big vein varicosavirus (LBVV), tomato mosaic tobamovirus (ToMV) and cucumber mosaic cucumovirus (CMV). Most frequently occurred LMV and DYMV. CMV and ToMV were isolated accidentally.
Stwierdzono, że większość obserwowanych w centralnym regionie Polski upraw sałaty była porażana przez choroby wirusowe. Procent zainfekowanych roślin był jednak niewielki. Z chorych roślin wyizolowano i zidentyfikowano 5 wirusów, a mianowicie: mozaiki sałaty (lettuce mosaic potyvirus, LMV), nekrozy sałaty (dandelion yellow mosaic sequivirus, DYMV), mozaiki ogórka (cucumbcr mosaic cucumovirus, CMV), mozaiki pomidora (tomato mosaic tobamovirus, ToMV) oraz zgrubienia nerwów sałaty (lettuce big vein varicosavirus, LBVV). Diagnozy oparto na wynikach badań biologicznych, fizykochemicznych, elektronomikroskopowych i serologicznych. Spośród wykrytych wirusów najczęściej spotykano LMV oraz DYMV, rzadziej LBVV. CMV i ToMV wystąpiły sporadycznie. Niekiedy stwierdzano infekcje mieszane.

Diagnostic studies were performed on 4 viruses isolated from several lettuce plantations in the central region of Poland. Identification was based on the host range, including tests plants and different lettuce cultivars, on the characteristics of virus transmissibility, as well as on their physico-chemical properties, electron microscopy and serology.
Przeprowadzono badania diagnostyczne nad 4 wirusami wyizolowanymi z kilkunastu upraw sałaty, obserwowanych w środkowym regionie Polski. Identyfikację oparto na badaniach: sposobu przenoszenia się wirusów i zakresu roślin gospodarzy, w tym inokulowaniu roślin testowych oraz różnych odmian sałaty; na ustalaniu cech fizyko-chemicznych wirusów, a także na badaniach elektronomikroskopowych i serologicznych.

We obtain a result on the existence of a solution with big graph of functional equations of the form g(x,(x),(f(x)))=0 and we show that it is applicable to some important equations, both linear and nonlinear, including those of Abel, Böttcher and Schröder. The graph of such a solution has some strange properties: it is dense and connected, has full outer measure and is topologically big.

Opis:
W artykule omówiono cele polityki ekologicznej Unii Europejskiej oraz obowiązki polskich przedsiębiorstw wynikające z dostosowań w zakresie prawa ochrony środowiska. Przedstawiono standardy ekologiczne wpływające na inwestycje w elektroenergetyce. Wskazano na rolę funduszy UE i innych źródeł zagranicznych w finansowaniu ochrony środowiska w Polsce, w tym Programu Operacyjnego Infrastruktura i Środowisko. Celem Programu jest podniesienie atrakcyjności inwestycyjnej Polski i jej regionów poprzez rozwój infrastruktury technicznej przy równoczesnej ochronie i poprawie stanu środowiska, zdrowia społeczeństwa, zachowaniu tożsamości kulturowej i rozwijaniu spójności terytorialnej na dostosowanie do standardów. Na realizacje Programu Operacyjnego Infrastruktura i Środowisko przeznaczonych zostało 21,3 mld euro, co stanowi aż 35,7% całości środków na lata 2007-2013.
The adjustment of Polish enterprises to rigorous standards of environmental protection gives rise to the necessity to incur substantial outlays. Particularly tightened environmental standards concern electrical power engineering - major sources of fuel burning. Due to the necessity to provide the state with energy safety it is necessary to modernise and build new generation powers in electrical power engineering. One of opportunities to achieve means for this purpose are structural funds allocated in order to adjust to the European standards, including those of the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment the aim of which is to enhance the investment attractiveness of Poland and its regions by technical inftastructure development and simultaneous protection plus im provement of the environment, society's health, maintenance of cultural identity and territorial cohesion development. EUR 21.3 bn was allocated to execute the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment, which accounts for as much as 35.7% of total resources for years 2007-2013.

W artykule przedstawiono opracowany przez autorów model symulacyjny ruchu ciągnika przegubowego. Podane zostały zależności wykorzystane do opisu zachodzących zjawisk i przyjęte założenia upraszczające. Zaprezentowano postać modelu wykonanego w środowisku Matlab Simulink oraz jego badania symulacyjne. Wykorzystując przebiegi z badań doświadczalnych na obiekcie rzeczywistym, dokonano także identyfikacji wpływu ogumienia wielkogabarytowego na dokładność odwzorowania przez opracowany model toru ruchu pojazdu.
The paper presents a simulation model of articulated tractor movement developed by the authors. It includes the observed relationship, assumed simplification, and equations. Moreover, comparison of simulations data and real test results conducted with 20-t wheel loader are discussed. It enabled us to draw conclusion about specific problem of big-size tire used in heavy equipment modeling.

Paper presents the results of evaluation of the occurrence and population trends of mammals in 23 Polish national parks. Investigation was based on survey carried out among national park field workers. 29 large and medium−sized mammal species were found in Polish national parks. Growth in the populations of beaver Castor fiber, fox Vulpes vulpes, otter Lutra lutra as well as wild boar Sus scrofa were observed. A clear population regression was recognised for muskrat Ondatra zibethicus and brown hare Lepus europaeus.

There were scientists who believed that the beginning of the universe that cosmology speaks about should be identified with the moment of creation by God. One of them was Edmund Whittaker, who was convinced that the Big Bang provides a kind of scientific proof of the creation 'ex nihilo' and consequently of the existence of God. The present paper gives a short account of his natural theology. In the first chapter, Whittaker's philosophy of mathematics is presented - this is his point of departure: rational and mathematical character of the world is - in his opinion - a source of our knowledge of God. Chapters two and three give an account of Whittaker's natural theology; the stress is put on the Big Bang as a moment of the world's creation. In chapter four, the relevance of cosmology for the understanding of the Five Ways to God of St. Thomas is discussed. The last chapter deals with the problem of determinism and free will as seen by Edmund Whittaker.

Patrząc z perspektywy ostatniego stulecia trudno uznać przebieg rozwoju urbanistycznego Szczecina per saldo za zjawisko prawidłowe. Wydaje się, że podstawową przyczyną zakłóceń tego procesu były zbyt optymistyczne prognozy. Wywołały one codzienne migracje ludności na ogromną skalę pociągając za sobą trudne do oszacowania skutki ekonomiczno-społeczne. Wszystko wskazuje na to, że sytuacja ta stanowi obecnie najpoważniejszą barierę w rozwoju aglomeracji szczecińskiej.
Looking from the perspective of the last century it is difficult to find the town-planning development of Szczecin per saldo as a correct phenomenon. It seems that the basic reason for the disturbances of the process were too optimistic prognosis. This caused everyday migration of people on a large scale. All of this brought difficult to assess economical-social effects. Everything indicates that this situation is currently the greatest barrier in the development of the Szczecin agglomeration.
