Comodification and branding are rapidly expanding their area of influence, therefore, they could not omit the area of sport and ethnicity. Catalan identity constitutes, in some measure, an added value to the club, a strong foundation, which also distinguishes Barça premium brand from the rest. At the same time, merchandise that is unique easily finds itself on the economic market and it generates desired profits.

Komodyfikacja, branding poszerzają swoje strefy wpływów w zawrotnym tempie. W związku z tym nie mogły ominąć także sfery sportu i etniczności. Kreowanie marki FC Barcelony ma charakter specyficzny, gdyż jest kompilacją tego co globalne z tym co lokalne. Katalońskość stanowi niejako wartość dodaną klubu, silną podbudowę, która jednocześnie pozwala odróżnić markę premium Barçy od pozostałych. The topic of the article are the complex stages of the formation of the Bon Pastor neighbourhood in Barcelona, and contemporary efforts to create the remembrance space system that would preserve the social memory and historical identity of the place. The author presents how the urban development plans for the district were transformed as a result of major changes in national politics, economy, and social policy, since the 1930s, through 60s and 70s, till today. The article describes the Bon Pastor Civic Memory project as an interesting example of a participatory action aimed at the preservation of local heritage. The implementation of the Civic Memory project was possible due to the neighbours’ initiative and their cooperation with cultural and academic institutions. The aim of this project is to mark certain points of the territory which possess historically and socially significant value, and to enhance them through public art, urban design and other implementations envisaged. The Association of residents of Bon Pastor (Barcelona) has been characterized, since 1974, for its combative and vindictive nature, at the same time as for its great capacity to launch solidarity initiatives and manage complicated processes to improve the living conditions of residents of the neighbourhood. After the struggles to obtain a health centre, the improvement of communications by metro and bus, and the constant improvement of public space, in recent years, the Association is co-managing with the Barcelona City Council, the radical transformation of the neighbourhood. The different phases for the remodelling of the neighbourhood, by replacing the so-called “cheap houses” with new buildings, with more spacious apartments and with better material conditions, is coming to an end and now, the possibility opens up, driven by the neighbours and the Museum of the History of the City (MUHBA) to have a metropolitan museographic space devoted to the presentation and study of the evolution of workers’ and popular housing in Barcelona.

The paper is a part of a wider research developed by the authors since 2014 about the relationship between Modern Architecture in Barcelona and Milan between ’40s and ’60s . Here a particular building type the „double slab” has been investigated. It is based on a modular design system for housing quite popular among architects in Barcelona and throughout Spain. The “double slab” is very well typologically defined and for this reason got a strong identity but at the same time it is quite flexible and easy to be adapted to different styles which span from pre-modernism to the contemporary styles passing through the Regionalism.

Este artículo indaga sobre distintos aspectos de la relación de Barcelona con el cine. En la primera parte, siguiendo el hilo de la película Vida en sombras (1949) del cineasta catalán Llorenç Llobet Gràcia, se evidencia el protagonismo de Barcelona como impulsora del desarrollo del cine y de sus progresos tecnológicos, y como centro de producción, distribución y exhibición cinematográfica. En la segunda parte se aborda el papel de Barcelona como escenario cinematográfico. Adoptando la perspectiva de la cinematic urban archaeology, se comentan, a través de una selección de películas, las transformaciones experimentadas por la capital catalana desde finales del siglo XIX hasta nuestros días. Las películas constituyen un observatorio privilegiado para estudiar la metamorfosis del paisaje urbano barcelonés y los cambios políticos, sociales y económicos más significativos sufridos por la ciudad durante más de un siglo: el imponente desarrollo urbano e industrial entre los siglos XIX y XX, la guerra civil española y la dura posguerra, el boom económico y la expansión urbanística incontrolada bajo el mandato del alcalde franquista José María de Porcioles (1957-1973), la restauración de la democracia y, finalmente, el renacimiento urbano de los años ochenta y noventa, impulsado por la nominación de la ciudad como sede de los Juegos Olímpicos de 1992.

This paper focuses on the seldom studied poetry of Roberto Bolaño, using "La Universidad Desconocida", the exhaustive compilation published posthumously in 2007. Although Bolaño received wide recognition and many awards for his novels, he defined himself as a poet. In his poetry, we find the same topics and tendencies that he developed in the characters and plots of his narratives. A prime example is "Los detectives salvajes", a novel about a group of young rebel poets in the Mexico of the seventies. Bolaño’s poet characters, as well as his travels, exiles and criticisms of the literary establishment, take on a new light when compared alongside his poetry. this article explores the modes of poetic production as understood by Bolaño, as a way of life outside universities, the literary canon, and any other institutional networks. Instead, his poetic production is marked by the figure of Arthur Rimbaud as the archetype of the cursed poet.

The paper discusses a secondary, figurative meaning of the proper name Misiewicz that has evolved in the current political discourse in Poland. The data under examination have been retrieved during the years 2016-2017 from paper and electronic editions of Polish newspapers and magazines, including online commentaries and opinions of their readers. It is claimed that best documented and most frequent uses of the name Misiewicz/e [SG./PL.] exhibit a paragonic sense. Barcelona’s [2003, 2004] model was adopted in the explanation of the metonymic mappings underlying them.

In the Europe of the European Union, policies and programmes on the social inclusion of millions of Euros have been presented for years in different countries, with a greater concentration in the countries of the South and neighbouring countries. This issue is of concern to state, regional and also local governments. The strategies proposed are also multilevel. It is the latter that have the most complicated role since they are the ones that are closest to the problem.  For this last level of public administration, the main obstacle is the lack of resources, becoming clearly dependent on European, national and autonomous funds. The analysis of the plans guides us as to which aspects are the most important. This is the case of Barcelona, because it is an example of inclusive support measures and teamwork on a European and international scale. A theoretical model derived from the analysis of the theory and the results of the application of the different social policies of inclusion through training is presented, in which the leader has a determining role and a new actor is incorporated into the traditional models.

Gdyby przeprowadzić ankietę na tytuł książki najlepiej obrazujący stosunki przestrzenne między miastem a płynącą przez nią rzeką, to jeszcze do niedawna duże szanse miałby tytuł „Miasto tyłem do rzeki”. To samo dotyczy miast położonych nad większymi akwenami, w tym na brzegu morskim. A przecież setki autorów w wielkiej ilości książek i innych tekstów od lat pisują, że powinno być inaczej. Autorzy przypominają np. historyczne przypadki Wenecji, Amsterdamu, Petersburga, Berlina, Rotterdamu i innych miast, po czym przechodzą do doświadczeń najnowszych, które wskazują na konieczność instytucjonalizowania opieki nad frontami wodnymi. Korzystając z tych doświadczeń, możemy być pewniejsi, że najważniejsze potrzeby mieszkańców miast, w tym potrzebę tworzenia współczesnych przestrzeni publicznych, będą łączone z odzyskiwaniem dla miasta nieużywanych terenów portów, w najciekawszych krajobrazowo częściach tych portowo - przemysłowych miast. Teksty takie łatwo jest zilustrować opisami konkursów architektoniczno - urbanistycznych na przebudowę frontów wodnych, a także powszechnie znanymi projektami realizowanymi w największych dziś światowych zagłębiach budowlanych, to znaczy w krajach Zatoki Perskiej i w Chinach. Są także przykłady europejskie, w tym polskie. Dodajmy, że ci wszyscy, którzy przechodzę akademicki kurs urbanistyki na wiedzą czym jest lustro wody dla miasta, a wraz ze wzrostem zainteresowania środowiskiem naturalnym, rola wody w mieście jest coraz silniej podkreślana. Jest to takie widzenie problemu w którym nie chodzi o tradycyjny „landscaping”, upiększający dodatek do „twardej urbanistyki”, ale o miasto stające się krajobrazem, otóż pozycja ta powoduje wzrost znaczenia wody w „urbanistycznych krajobrazach”. Pamiętając jednocześnie jak bardzo niebezpieczna potrafi być woda, upowszechniać należy współczesne rozwiązania równocześnie anty-powodziowe i pro-wodne, które wynikają z motywacji ekologicznych i kulturowych. Ważne jest tez dziś to, że budowa frontów wodnych to element, który podnosi konkurencyjność miast, tworzy nowe czynniki miastotwórcze, a co za tym idzie zmienia się architektura owych frontów.
If carried out a survey on the title of the book best showing the spatial relationship between the city and the river flowing through it, a good chance, until recently, would have the title of "The city located back to the river". The same applies to cities located on larger surface of water, including the sea shore. And yet, hundreds of authors in a large number of books and other texts for years write that it should be otherwise. The authors remind for instance example - Historical cases of Venice, Amsterdam, St. Petersburg, Berlin, Rotterdam and other cities, and then go to the latest experience, which indicate the need for institutionalization the care of waterfronts areas. Using these experiences, we can be more confident that the most important needs of city residents, including the need to create modern public spaces, will be combined with the recovery for the city of unused areas, harbours in the most interesting parts of the scenic port and - industrial cities. Such texts it is easy to illustrate with descriptions of architectural competitions - the reconstruction of urban water fronts, also commonly known projects implemented in major building basins of the world today, that is, in the Persian Gulf countries and China. There are also examples of Europe, including Polish. Note that all who pass the academic course on urban planning know what the mirror of water for the city is, and with increasing interest in the environment, the role of water in the city is increasingly emphasized. This is also a problem’s perception where it's not about traditional "landscaping", beautifying addition to the "hard urban planning," but about the city becomes as a landscape. And so this situation increases the importance of water in the "urban landscapes". While bearing in mind consciousness how dangerous can be water, there should be disseminate at the same time the modern anti-flood and pro-water solutions, which result from ecological and cultural motivations. It is important also today that the construction of water fronts is an element that increases the competitiveness of cities, creates new city – creative factors, and thus changing architecture of these fronts.
