Opis:
A ternary semiconductor $Ga_{1-x}Al_{x}P$ has been synthesized for the first time by hot implantation of aluminum in GaP. Two mixed crystals of various compositions have been synthesized when implanting by two different fluencies of aluminum ions. The identification of the above mentioned mixed semiconductors in the amorphous as well as in the crystalline phases has been carried out by the laser Raman spectroscopy. The synthesis of the ternary compositions has been carried out at different depths from the substrate surface by implantation of aluminum ions of various energies. $Ga_{1-x}Al_{x}P$ synthesized by the ion implantation shows the behavior of two-mode mixed semiconductors. The synthesized compounds are defective and the Raman spectra prove the fact. The share of disordered structure of the composition synthesized with high fluencies of aluminum ion implantation, $2.5 \times 10^{17} \text{ion}//cm^2$, is especially big.

Reflection spectra of pure explosive materials and their simulants were measured in transmission and reflection by means of time domain spectroscopy in the range 0.1-3 THz. Spectra measured in two reflection configurations: specular with incident angle equal to 45° and stand-off with close to normal incidence and distance 30 and 40 cm to samples was analyzed.

Two optical bands and four EPR (or spin-Hamiltonian) parameters (g factors $g_{∥}$, $g_{⊥}$ and hyperfine structure constants $A_{∥}$, $A_{⊥}$) of the tetragonally-compressed $Nb^{4+}$ octahedral center in glasses are calculated from two methods, the complete diagonalization (of energy matrix) method and the perturbation theory method. Both methods are founded on the two-spin-orbit-parameter model where both the contribution to the spectral data from the spin-orbit parameter of central $d^{n}$ ion and that of ligand ion via covalence effect are considered. The calculated results from both the complete diagonalization (of energy matrix) method and perturbation theory method show reasonable agreement with the experimental values. The signs and possible misprint for the observed hyperfine structure constants $A_{∥}$ and $A_{⊥}$ are suggested, and the local structure of the tetragonal $Nb^{4+}$ center in glasses due to the Jahn-Teller effect is gained from the calculations. The results are discussed.

Absorption spectra of hexogen and penthrite-2 commonly used explosive materials in the range 0.3-3 THz are presented. The measurements were carried out by means of time domain spectroscopy and compared to spectra obtained by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Good conformity is observed.

In this paper, we report on measurements of reflection spectra of hexogen (RDX) by means of time domain spectroscopy. We analyzed both phase and amplitude of reflected impulses for three cases: detuning, samples with rough surfaces and samples with curved surfaces. It can be concluded that both spectral characteristics can be applied for identification of explosives in the reflection configuration.

Opis:
Electrochemical formation and microstructure of porous GaP have been investigated. Nanostructured porous GaP layers of thickness up to ≈ 20 μm were fabricated on n-type (111)-oriented crystalline c-GaP substrates. Studies of microstructure of porous GaP in dependence on electrolyte type and regimes of technological procedure have been carried out by scanning electron microscopy. The samples were characterized by spectroscopic ellipsometry in visible and near UV spectral range. The investigations have shown that the structure and optical response of porous GaP can be efficiently controlled by technological procedure of electrochemical formation. The shape and dimension of pores can be varied from nanometer-scaled cylindrical pores to GaP nanorods.

In this paper, we report on measurements of absorption spectra of hexogen, penthrite, and octogen. The measurements were carried out by means of time domain spectroscopy and compared to spectra obtained from a setup, which bases on an optical parametric oscillator combined with a Golay cell. For time domain spectroscopy measurement, Teraview TPS 3000 unit with accessories in transmission configuration was used.
