    Actions that are environmentally friendly are increasingly being undertaken by private organizations, the public entities and the community. This process strives to meet the needs of society and to maintain balance between the natural environment and the economic activity. One of the solutions is sustainable building for energy efficient buildings, waste recycling and water saving and in addition, the use of renewable energy, regional materials and raw materials, recycled and environmentally friendly, as well as the promotion of bicycles and public transport. The process of making a dialogue between the local authority and residents is supported by spatial information acquisition and processing technologies and Internet communication tools The aim of the article is to analyze the resource-efficient and effective projects implemented in the city and to indicate the benefits for the economy. These benefits are to be achieved through green innovations that combine innovation with environmental sensitivity and ecological awareness.

    Do sfery ekonomii społecznej należą organizacje z pogranicza, realizujące cele ekonomiczne i społeczne. Takim przypadkiem jest stowarzyszenie, którego analizę działalności przeprowadziły autorki. Jego misja zakłada realizację celów spójnych ze społecznymi celami w zakresie zrównoważonego rozwoju. Stowarzyszenie podejmuje inicjatywy koncertujące się na tzw. zielonej polityce. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja obszarów skutecznego działania i źródeł problemów stowarzyszenia we wdrażaniu zielonych innowacji. Na potrzeby niniejszego tekstu przyjęto tezy, zgodnie z którymi organizacja elastycznie i sprawnie reaguje na zmiany otoczenia, zaś największą trudnością jest zaangażowanie do działania ludzi nieprzekonanych. Tekst powstał na podstawie analizy dorobku literaturowego oraz badania przeprowadzonego w wybranej organizacji ekonomii społecznej. Do badań literaturowych posłużyły wybrane źródła naukowe, raporty i statystyki oraz wcześniejsze badania jednej z autorek. Do badania organizacji zastosowano studium przypadku, gdzie wykorzystano źródła wewnętrzne organizacji, obserwację uczestniczącą i pogłębiony wywiad z członkiem zarządu. W ocenie autorek istotną umiejętnością organizacji jest szybkie dostosowanie się do zmieniającej się sytuacji społeczno-gospodarczej i politycznej, wykorzystanie nowych modeli biznesowych, tworzenie sieci współpracy, również z samorządem, uczenie się od siebie, obecność w życiu środowiska lokalnego, odpowiedź na jego potrzeby oraz działania na rzecz innowacji, spójności i środowiska.
    The sphere of the social economy includes “borderline” organisations pursuing economic and social goals. The association analysed by the authors is such a case. Its mission assumes the implementation of goals consistent with social goals in the field of sustainable development. The Association undertakes initiatives focused on “green politics”. The aim of the article is to identify the areas of effective operation and sources of problems of the association in the implementation of green innovations. For the purposes of this text, theses have been adopted according to which the organisation reacts flexibly and efficiently to changes in the environment, and the greatest difficulty is to engage the unconvinced. The text was based on the analysis of literature and a study of a selected social economy organisation. Selected scientific sources, reports and statistics, as well as earlier research of one of the authors were used for the literature research. A case study was used to study the organisation, where internal sources of the organisation, participant observation and an in-depth interview with a board member were used. According to the authors, an important ability of an organisation is quick adaptation to the changing socio-economic and political situation, the use of new business models, creating a network of cooperation, also with the local government, learning from each other, being present in the life of the local community, responding to its needs and for innovation, cohesion and the environment.

    The paper aim is to increase knowledge concerning formation of eco-clusters regarding their origin and transformation process. Since eco-innovation is emerging as an industry, it should attract attention of decisionmakers of different levels. Author presents the complexity of eco-clusters development and the consequences for its governance. The paper shows what is the role of different stakeholders in this process. The author aim is to recognize the current links between cluster policy directed to sustainability and eco-innovation. Clustering may have significant implication on development of a city or a whole region. From the perspective of regional or city development, eco clusters can play important role in development strategies. Countries, regions and cities search how to improve competitive conditions and attract firms and other stakeholders to their locations prepared for cluster initiatives. Author analyzes policy and support instruments for eco-clusters used in the European Union and in Poland. The paper reviews main theoretical framework, empirical findings and statistical data on clusters in Europe.

    The article discusses the role of eco-innovations in sustainable development. The first part of the paper pertains to the essence and meaning of sustainable development, with a particular attention paid to the technical dimension. Then a qualitative model of eco-innovations, which are the main factor of green growth, is introduced. The last part of the article contains the analysis of the results of CIS 2008 survey in relation to the propensity and motivations to introduce the eco-innovations, as well as the benefits from the introduction of the eco-innovations in enterprises from EU countries.
    W artykule omówiono rolę ekoinnowacji w zrównoważonym rozwoju. W pierwszej części opracowania przedstawiono istotę i sens zrównoważonego rozwoju, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem wymiaru technicznego. Następnie przedstawiono jakościowy model ekoinnowacji stanowiących główny czynnik zielonego wzrostu. W ostatniej części artykułu przeprowadzono analizę wyników badań – CIS 2008 w zakresie skłonności, przesłanek i korzyści z wprowadzania ekoinnowacji w przedsiębiorstwach z krajów UE.

    Green entrepreneurship is an important phenomenon from the point of view of economic development. However, the topic has not been sufficiently analysed and knowledge in this area is not systematised. Supporting the development of green enterprises and increasing the resilience of the economy and natural ecosystems requires a more in-depth analysis of the conditions and factors that influence the development of green entrepreneurship. Green (or ecological) entrepreneurship is closely related to the textile sector, which should be particularly interested in the introduction of various types of eco-innovations that reduce or prevent negative environmental impacts while contributing to the achievement of competitive advantage and profitability. The textile sector is focused on sustainability issues - both in terms of environmental protection and global social responsibility. The goal of this paper is to organise knowledge on the phenomenon of green entrepreneurship and to analyse the prospects of its development in the light of opinions of Polish textile industry entrepreneurs. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on 56 Polish companies from the textile industry. The results obtained indicate that Polish textile industries are interested in implementing all kinds of eco-innovations concentrated in the so-called environmental management system, which should become part of any organisation in the sector analysed. The paper is divided into three main parts. In the first part the phenomenon of green entrepreneurship is characterised. Then the methodology of the survey is presented. The final part is a presentation of results of the survey conducted in Polish textile industry enterprises.
    Zielona przedsiębiorczość jest istotnym zjawiskiem z punktu widzenia rozwoju gospodarki, jednakże nie jest w sposób dostateczny zbadana, a wiedza z tego zakresu jest nieuporządkowana. Wspieranie rozwoju ekologicznych przedsiębiorstw oraz zwiększenie odporności gospodarki i naturalnych ekosystemów wymaga bardziej dogłębnej analizy warunków i czynników, które wpływają na rozwój zielonej przedsiębiorczości. W związku z powyższym zielona przedsiębiorczość (lub ekologiczna) ściśle wiąże się z sektorem tekstylnym, który szczególnie powinien być zainteresowany wprowadzeniem różnego rodzaju innowacji ekologicznych, które zmniejszają negatywne oddziaływanie na środowisko naturalne lub zapobiegają im, a jednocześnie przyczyniają się uzyskania przewagi konkurencyjnej oraz zysku. Sektor tekstylny i odzieżowy charakteryzuje orientacja na kwestie zrównoważenia – zarówno jeśli chodzi o ochronę środowiska i globalną odpowiedzialność społeczną. Konsument jest coraz bardziej świadomy śladu, jaki dana działalność pozostawia w środowiskowego, a konkretne rynki przemysłowe przyciągają innowacje. Celem artykułu była próba uporządkowania wiedzy dotyczącej zjawiska zielonej przedsiębiorczości oraz analiza perspektyw jego rozwoju w świetle opinii polskich przedsiębiorców z branży tekstylnej. Artykuł podzielono na trzy zasadnicze części. W pierwszej scharakteryzowano zjawisko zielonej przedsiębiorczości, następnie zaprezentowano metodologię przeprowadzonego badania. Ostatnia część w całości obejmuje prezentacje wyników badania ankietowego na polskich przedsiębiorstwach z branży tekstylnej.

    Opis:
    The main purpose of the study is an assessment of the relationships between sustainable competitiveness of the economy, sustainable development and responsible innovations. For this purpose the indicators from the 2030 Agenda and data published by OECD describing the concept of green growth were used. The results were obtained on the basis of a two-stage procedure. In the first step the rankings of the EU countries in each the considered areas were calculated and in the second one the results of the previous stage were used to create typological groups with the application of correspondence analysis. The outcomes presented in the paper clearly confirm the significant level of differentiation of the results achieved by EU countries in various areas that make up the overall concept of sustainable competitiveness. The value added of the paper comes from the approaches to the evaluation of the relation between various areas sustainable competitiveness.
    Głownym celem artykułu było badanie relacji występujących między zrównoważonym rozwojem i konkurencyjnością gospodarki. W badaniu wykorzystano wskaźniki stosowane przez Komisję Europejską do monitorowania postępów we wdrażaniu Agendy 2030 oraz dane zaczerpnięte z bazy OECD opisujące wyniki krajów w zakresie realizacji koncepcji zielonego wzrostu. Do badania relacji między wskazanymi obszarami wykorzystano dwuetapową procedurę badawczą. W pierwszym kroku wyznaczono rankingi w każdym z obszarów, w drugim na ich podstawie dokonano podziału krajów UE na grupy typologiczne z wykorzystaniem analizy korespondencji. Powtwierdzono znaczne zróźnicowanie krajów UE, czego efektem jest podział aż na siedem grup.

    Economic crises often become the source of new business concepts and the transformation of economic systems. Since the global financial crisis of 2008, the importance of implementing the principles of sustainable economic development has been growing as a key element of the green revolution and the transformation of the existing, traditional, brown economy of surplus into a sustainable, green economy of moderation. However, the main factor behind the increase in popularity in the world of science of the issues of sustainable economic development, social environmental responsibility, green economy and circular economy are confirmed by the results of research conducted by climatologists, biologists, ecologists, etc. the process of global warming, the source of which is the growing emission of greenhouse gases, which is a side effect of the development of civilization based to a large extent on the classic model of energy production based on the combustion of fossil fuels. This article deals with a holistic, interdisciplinary approach to the issues of determinants of the implementation of the principles of sustainable development into economic processes, including corporate social responsibility, environmental social responsibility, eco-innovation, green finance and the pro-ecological transformation of the economy towards green economy and circular economy.
    Kryzysy gospodarcze stają się niejednokrotnie źródłem nowych koncepcji biznesowych i transformacji systemów gospodarczych. Od czasu globalnego kryzysu finansowego 2008 roku rośnie znaczenie implementacji zasad zrównoważonego rozwoju gospodarczego jako kluczowego elementu zielonej rewolucji i transformacji dotychczasowej, tradycyjnej, brązowej gospodarki nadmiaru do zrównoważonej, zielonej gospodarki umiaru. Jednak głównym czynnikiem wzrostu popularności w świecie nauki problematyki zasad zrównoważonego rozwoju gospodarczego, społecznej odpowiedzialności środowiskowej, green economy i circular economy są potwierdzane przez wyniki badań klimatologów, biologów, ekologów itd. niekorzystnych zmian klimatu, tj. przede wszystkim postępującego co- raz szybciej od końca XIX wieku procesu globalnego ocieplenia, którego źródłem jest rosnąca emisja gazów cieplarnianych, będąca efektem ubocznym rozwoju cywilizacji opartego w dużym stopniu na klasycznym modelu energetyki produkcji energii bazującej na spalaniu paliw kopalnych. W niniejszym artykule podjęto się holistycznego, interdyscyplinarnego ujęcia problematyki determinantów implementacji zasad zrównoważonego rozwoju do procesów gospodarczych, w tym również społecznej odpowiedzialności biznesu, społecznej odpowiedzialności środowiskowej, ekoinnowacji, green finance oraz proekologicznej transformacji gospodarki w kierunku green economy i circular economy.

    The problem of sustainable development of production is directly related to the three components of the "green economy" - economic, social, and environmental. Their harmonious combination makes it possible to obtain results that improve the social relations of both producers and consumers of goods and services. The implementation of the components of the "green economy" is carried out by various projects. The projects are carried out by irregular end-to-end business processes that compete for common resources in the process of their implementation. The impact on the components of the "green economy" is realized by the proposed model and technology. For this purpose, the software tool was developed. The use of this tool by the decision-maker employee allows them to find the best solutions for process management. The solution is represented as priorities to access to shared resources by each process. This ensures their fulfillment within the deadlines established by the contracts. The level of innovations, economic indicators, production stability and competitive ability of products in a dynamically changing market is thereby improved. The results of such commercialization of scientific research have an impact on all components of the "green economy".
