Opis:
InAs quantum dots were grown by molecular beam epitaxy in the Stranski-Krastanow growth mode and annealed under $N_2$ atmospheres at different temperatures. The evolution of quantum dots with the annealing temperature increasing were slightly different with the results reported in the literature. Atomic force microscopy investigations of quantum dots uncapped layer show a size initial increase followed by a prompt decrease as annealing temperature increases. It was found that the photoluminescence signal on quantum dots capped with GaAs layer was first slightly red-shifted and then blue-shifted with an increase in annealing temperature. The blue-shift can be attributed to In/Ga interdiffusion in annealing process. Red-shift of optical features indicates the change of the quantum dots compostion, size, and strain from the barrier.

Opis:
The superlattice-in-well structures were grown using a cycled submonolayer AlGaAs/GaAs deposition technique. The optical quality of Al-Ga interdiffusion in AlGaAs/GaAs superlattice was investigated by measuring the photoluminescence of samples grown at temperature from 610°C to 630°C. Results show that Al composition can be modulated under some growth temperature or period. Effect of the growth interrupt in the growth process of superlattice on film optical quality is also discussed. Especially, the role played by the period of superlattice in the process of obtaining high quality film material with low composition is investigated in detail.

Opis:
There are many kinds of explosives, and their detection methods vary. Nitroaromatic compound is one of the composition of the explosives commonly used. The fuorescence will be quenched when they touch the fuorescent conjugated polymers. General methods for explosives detection have been summarized in this paper, in addition the application of novel fuorescence analysis technique in explosives detection has been introduced. Fluorescent conjugated polymer as chemical sensing material for explosive detection has been reviewed in detail, also a novel fuorescent sensing flm self-assembled by fuorescent small molecule pyrene and homogeneous fuoroimmunoassay have been presented briefy. The development of fuorescence analysis used in the area of determining explosives has been prospected.
