Objectives The objective of this study has been to evaluate the occupational heat exposure of 12 workers at 5 plants in a subtropical country. Material and Methods The heat stresses and strain on workers in 5 plants were assessed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 7243 index (wet bulb globe temperature – WBGT) and the ISO 7933 index (maximum allowable exposure time – $ \text{D}_\text{lim} $). Results Results indicated that 42% of the subjects (5 workers) surpassed the WBGT limits. According to the $ \text{D}_\text{lim} $, 42% of the subjects could not continue working in the hot environments. The relationships between the various heat stress indices and the WBGT index were also correlated. However, further studies from different heat environments and more subjects should be performed. Conclusions The sensitive dependence of skin temperature on meteorological and physiological indices for each subject was clearly observed. Obviously, the heart rate response to metabolic rate was much greater than that caused by environmental heat alone. The exponential relationship between workers’ duration-limited exposure time, predicted by various estimated criteria, and WBGT were also found. Int J Occup Med Environ Health 2017;30(3):379–395

Opis:
The nature and mechanism of interaction between carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) with cassiterite (and chlorite surfaces) and their effects on the flotation separation process of cassiterite (from chlorite) were investigated by micro-flotation tests, surface adsorption experiments, zeta potential measurements, solution chemical calculation, infrared spectroscopy, and X-ray photo-electron spectroscopy (XPS). The results from single mineral tests revealed that CMC exhibited good selective inhibition effects with cassiterites and chlorites. When the dosage was 12.5 mg/L at pH 8, cassiterite and chlorite recovery was 92.2% and 6.3%, respectively. The artificial mixed ore test revealed that the flotation separation effect was the best when the dosage of CMC was 6.5 mg/L. Cassiterite used during the studies was 75.1% pure. The recovery was 82.8%. The interaction between CMC and the cassiterite surface led to a shift in the zeta potential toward the negative direction. CMC was weakly adsorbed on the cassiterite surface. There was no significant impact on the subsequent collection of sodium oleate. The concentration of C atom increased post interaction, and the potential shifted toward the negative direction. Characteristic CMC peaks were observed at this point. Hydrogen bonds and weak chemisorption interactions between CMC and chlorite affected the interaction between sodium oleate and the chlorite surface. It also affected the flotation results. The cassiterite and chlorite were separated effectively.

Without the restriction of metrizability, topological dynamical systems $(X,⟨ T_s⟩_{s ∈ G})$ are defined and uniform recurrence and proximality are studied. Some well known results are generalized and some new results are obtained. In particular, a topological dynamical characterization of central sets in an arbitrary semigroup (G,+) is given and shown to be equivalent to the usual algebraic characterization.

Opis:
Since the implementation of the compulsory sorting of domestic waste policy in China, the participation rate of residents is low, which leads to the unsatisfactory result of terminal reduction of domestic waste. Therefore, the problem of domestic waste reduction still needs to rely on source reduction. Based on the panel data of 29 provincial capitals in China from 2009 to 2018, this study conducts a comprehensive threshold effect test on per capita GDP and other influencing factors of domestic waste production, conducts panel threshold regression for the factors with threshold value, and explores the nonlinear relationship between per capita GDP and domestic waste production under the influence of different threshold variables. The results show that when the urban population density is less than 272 people/km2, the increase of 1% of per capita GDP will lead to a decrease of 0.251% in the domestic waste production, otherwise, it will lead to an increase of 0.249%; when the per capita consumption expenditure is less than the threshold value of 10,260 yuan/year, the influence coefficient of per capita GDP is 0.155, which increases to 0.207 above the threshold. When the share of tertiary industry is taken as the threshold variable, the two threshold values are 61% and 71% respectively. Through the analysis of control variables, it has been found that population size and amount of courier per capita have significant positive effects on domestic waste production, while gas permeability and the number of non-governmental organizations have significant negative effects.
