In this paper, we discuss a class of integrodifferential equations with nonlocal conditions via a fractional derivative of the type: [formula]. Some sufficient conditions for the existence of mild solutions for the above system are given. The main tools are the resolvent operators and fixed point theorems due to Banach's fixed point theorem, Krasnoselskii's fixed point theorem and Schaefer's fixed point theorem. At last, an example is given for demonstration.

This paper studies the robust finite-time H∞ state feedback control problem of continuous-time Markov jump systems (MJSs) subject to norm bounded uncertainties. Transition probabilities are allowed to be known, uncertain with known bounds or unknown. Based on the continuous transition probability property and the developed slack variable technique, Lyapunov variables are separatek from unknown transition probabilities and system matrices. With these separations, a relaxed method for robust finite-time H∞ controller design is proposed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of and the benefit from the proposed method.

Opis:
A new phase of C2/m $OsN_2$ is proposed in this paper. The crystal structure, elasticity and electronic properties of C2/m $OsN_2$ were studied by first-principles calculations. The elastic constants, the elastic moduli (B, G, and E) and Poisson's ratio v of $OsN_2$ have been investigated. From the first-principles calculations, we find that C2/m $OsN_2$ is metallic and mechanically stable. The quasi-harmonic Debye model, using a set of total energy versus molar volume obtained from the first-principles calculations, is applied to the study of the thermal and vibrational effects. The dependence of structural parameters, thermal expansions, heat capacities, Grüneisen parameters and Debye temperatures on the temperature and pressure are obtained in the whole pressure range from 0 to 80 GPa and temperature range from 0 to 800 K as well as compared with available data.

This paper addresses a vehicle sequencing problem for adjacent intersections under the framework of Autonomous Intersection Management (AIM). In the context of AIM, autonomous vehicles are considered to be independent individuals and the traffic control aims at deciding on an efficient vehicle passing sequence. Since there are considerable vehicle passing combinations, how to find an efficient vehicle passing sequence in a short time becomes a big challenge, especially for more than one intersection. In this paper, we present a technique for combining certain vehicles into some basic groups with reference to some properties discussed in our earlier works. A genetic algorithm based on these basic groups is designed to find an optimal or a near-optimal vehicle passing sequence for each intersection. Computational experiments verify that the proposed genetic algorithms can response quickly for several intersections. Simulations with continuous vehicles are carried out with application of the proposed algorithm or existing traffic control methods. The results show that the traffic condition can be significantly improved by our algorithm.

This research characterizes a natural zeolitic-rich tuff from Yemen (Al-Ahyuq area) and its potential in environmental applications. A total of 40 zeolite samples of Al-Ahyuq area were selected and fully characterized by a variety technique to obtain the mineralogical and physicochemical parameters. Our results show that the purities of zeolite minerals range from 78 to ~100% zeolite. Clinoptilolite and mordenite are the major mineral zeolite whereas heulandite and stilbite occur in minor amounts present in the zeolite deposit. Accessory minerals include quartz, illite, mica, feldspar, kaolinite, and smectite. In addition, the chemical compositions of Al-Ahyuq zeolitic tuffs are found to be comparable with other zeolites compositions of high economic value in the world. Moreover, its environment application was also discussed in this paper.

The article contains a description and comparison of the Polish and Chinese legal system of environmental standards. In each of the legal systems of environmental standards are created on many levels, starting from the constitution, by laws, regulations of the competent ministers, until the local law. However, existing solutions in China allow the creation of separate local laws including environmental standards, while at the local in Poland are formed acts which are designed to ensure the proper implementation of the specific standards created at the national level. It must be emphasized that the legal system in China, "environmental standards" are a separate class of sources of law which is not in the Polish legal system, where environmental standards are contained in acts of general application.

According to the ISO Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS), if two or more specifications of the same characteristic are to be indicated, they may be combined as a composite tolerance. Therefore there are no definition differences between the single separate tolerance indicators and their composite tolerance, which is different from the ASME standards. Hereby, the definitions of the combined tolerance which specifies the additional location, orientation and form of tolerance zone are not explicitly defined in the current ISO. It restricts the required definitions of tolerance specifications of a component which are often utilized in practice. However, the required definitions cannot be notated in the technical drawings by using the ISO semantics, because the ISO definitions are insufficient. It causes definition gaps and misinterpretations. This paper focuses on developing the definitions of line profile composite tolerance and suggests a new approach for explicitly defined and function-oriented systematology of line profile composite tolerance. This research is based on the analysis of physical behaviour of geometric feature of a component on a theoretical level. Completed and enhanced definitions in an improved systematology for line profile composite tolerance is formulated which fills the definition gaps and eliminates the deficits in ISO GPS.

Two types of plastic bonded explosives (PBXs) based on ε-2,4,6,8,10,12hexanitro-2,4,6,8,10,12-hexaazaisowurtzitane (ε-HNIW, CL-20), and PBXs based on 1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazinane (RDX), β-1,3,4,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocane (β-HMX) and cis-1,3,4,6-tetranitro-octahydroimidazo-[4,5-d]imidazole (bicycloHMX, BCHMX) were prepared using a polyisobutylene binder with dioctylsebacate (DOS) as plasticizer, i.e. a C4 matrix. One version of the ε-HNIW PBX is a product with reduced sensitivity (RS-ε-HNIW). All these PBXs, referenced respectively as RS-ε-HNIW-C4, ε-HNIW-C4, RDX-C4, HMX-C4 and BCHMX-C4, were tested using the Small Scale Gap Test according to STANAG 4488. The results of the gap test on the PBXs with RDX, β-HMX and BCHMX correspond to the impact sensitivities of the original crystalline nitramines. This is not entirely valid for ε-HNIW. In other words, PBXs with RS-ε-HNIW cannot achieve as low a shock sensitivity as would be expected from the differences obtained from the impact sensitivities between RDX, β-HMX and BCHMX, on the one hand, and RS-εHNIW on the other. It is shown that the morphological stability of RS-ε-HNIW in the C4 matrix is insufficient. However, further development and use of RS-ε-HNIW as a filler of PBXs would seem to be both desirable and beneficial. Despite the relatively high impact sensitivity of crystalline BCHMX, the shock sensitivity of its analogous C4 PBX is already good, and comparable with that of RS-ε-HNIW.

Propolis is a waxy substance produced by the honeybee that has been used as a form of traditional medicine and natural medicine since ancient times. Propolis has a wide spectrum of alleged applications, including potential anti-infection and anti-cancer effects. The following paper used a propolis extract containing 90% ethanol solution, 70% ethanol solution, ligarine, and dichloromethane as solvents that extracted the bioactive components. The highest yield of the propolis was obtained via the 70% ethanol leaching method and dichloromethane immersion stirring method. Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) analysis proved that the extracted propolis with dichloromethane had the highest methylene content and the maximum types of effective propolis components. A Propolis/PLA electrospinning solution was prepared by adding PLA powder into the supernatant of the dichloromethane-extract of propolis (DEP) directly, with there being no need for purification of the propolis extract and thus reducing the loss of active ingredients. DEP/PLA nanofiber was prepared via the electrospinning process, where it was found that with additional 4% PLA, the final electrospun fiber membrane was stabilised. tStudy of the antibacterial performance of the DEP/PLA electrospun membrane showed that the membrane affected some of the antibacterial properties. It was particularly effective when inhibiting Staphylococcus aureus, but not as effective when inhibiting Escherichia coli. This electrostatic spinning membrane could be used for food preservation, wound healing, and tissue engineering.
Propolis to woskowa substancja wytwarzana przez pszczołę miodną, która od starożytności była stosowana jako forma tradycyjnej medycyny i medycyny naturalnej. Propolis ma szerokie spektrum domniemanych zastosowań, w tym potencjalne działanie przeciwinfekcyjne i przeciwnowotworowe. W pracy użyto ekstraktu propolisu zawierającego 90% roztwór etanolu, 70% roztwór etanolu, ligarinę i dichlorometan jako rozpuszczalniki, które ekstrahowały składniki bioaktywne. Najwyższą wydajność propolisu uzyskano metodą wymywania 70% etanolu i metodą mieszania zanurzeniowego w dichlorometanie. Analiza w podczerwieni z transformacją Fouriera (FTIR) wykazała, że wyekstrahowany propolis z dichlorometanem miał najwyższą zawartość metylenu i dużą skuteczność. Roztwór propolis/PLA przygotowano przez dodanie proszku PLA bezpośrednio do ekstraktu z dichlorometanu propolisu (DEP), bez potrzeby oczyszczania, tym sposobem zmniejszono utraty składników aktywnych. Nanowłókno DEP/PLA zostało przygotowane w procesie elektroprzędzenia, w którym stwierdzono, że przy 4% PLA membrana z włókien elektroprzędzonych jest stabilna. Ocena skuteczności antybakteryjnej membrany DEP/PLA wykazała, że posiada ona właściwości przeciwbakteryjne. Stwierdzono zadowalającą skuteczność w hamowaniu Staphylococcus aureus, przy jednocześnie niższej skuteczności w hamowaniu Escherichia coli. Wytworzona membrana może być używana do konserwacji żywności, gojenia się ran i w inżynierii tkankowej.

Due to safety requirements, insensitive behaviour under slow thermal heating (cook-off) conditions is a desirable behaviour for today’s munitions. In this paper a cook-off device is designed to test two groups of RDX-based PBX explosives. In the first group the binder type was varied and in the second group the binder content of the RDX-based explosive was changed. Eleven samples were examined in order to evaluate the influence of four different binders and seven different binder contents on the shell deformation and the degree of the involved reaction. The test results showed that the degree of the reaction can be improved by changing the binder content, but not by the binder type. This phenomenon was explained by the thermal-conduction theory.

As one of the lifeline projects, an urban gas network is a complex system, as it requires maintenance of the supply capacity when any single pipeline is isolated due to failure. For such a system, its reliability needs to be evaluated. Considering that existing structural reliability and hydraulic reliability analyses reflect different aspects of the working conditions of an urban gas network, system reliability theory is employed to explain that only the gas supply reliability can achieve a comprehensive evaluation of the work capacity of the entire urban gas network, as it takes into account the combined influence of the structural reliability and hydraulic reliability. To calculate the parameters in the gas supply reliability evaluation, such as pipeline failure rate, flow reduction in the gas network under different failure conditions, etc., some research achievements in the field of structural reliability and hydraulic reliability are fully utilized. Then, the detailed calculation procedures of these parameters are given to evaluate the gas supply reliability in terms of operational and practical considerations. Finally, using an example of a simple double-loop gas network, the detailed process of the gas supply reliability evaluation of an urban gas network is described, and the feasibility of this evaluation method is also illustrated.
Miejska sieć gazowa – jeden z kluczowych elementów infrastruktury miasta – stanowi złożony system, ponieważ wymaga utrzymania zdolności przesyłowej gdy przepływ gazu w jednym z rurociągów zostaje zamknięty w wyniku awarii. W przypadku tego rodzaju systemów, konieczna jest ocena niezawodności. Biorąc pod uwagę, iż dostępne w literaturze analizy niezawodności konstrukcyjnej i niezawodności hydraulicznej odzwierciedlają różne aspekty warunków pracy miejskiej sieci gazowej, nie dają one pełnego obrazu niezawodności systemu jako całości. W artykule wykorzystano teorię niezawodności systemów, która pokazuje, że jedynie ocena niezawodności dostaw gazu stanowić może kompleksową ocenę wydajności pracy całej miejskiej sieci gazowej, ponieważ uwzględnia ona zarówno wpływ niezawodności konstrukcji jak i niezawodności hydraulicznej sieci. W pracy wykorzystano dotychczasowe obserwacje badawcze dotyczące oceny niezawodności konstrukcyjnej i niezawodności hydraulicznej sieci gazowej do obliczenia parametrów oceny niezawodności dostaw gazu, takich jak intensywność uszkodzeń rurociągu, redukcja przepływu gazu w sieci gazowej w różnych warunkach uszkodzeń, itp. Następnie, podano szczegółowe procedury obliczania tych parametrów w celu oceny niezawodności przesyłowej sieci gazowej pod kątem eksploatacyjnym i praktycznym. Na koniec, na przykładzie prostej sieci gazowej składającej się z dwóch pętli, opisano szczegółowy proces oceny niezawodności dostaw gazu w miejskiej sieci gazowej i zilustrowano możliwość wykorzystania proponowanej metody.

The application of hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane (CL-20) in energetic materials will be expanded by its use as superfine particles. A method of fabricating nano- and micron-sized spheres of CL-20 by using electrospray is discussed. The effects of the precursor solution and the experimental conditions on the morphology and the crystal phase of the CL-20 particles are introduced. A variety of solvents was used to dissolve raw CL-20 for the preparation of the precursor solution with different CL-20 contents. The conductivity and viscosity of the precursor solutions were tested before the electrospray process. The electrostatic parameters were adjusted by changing the voltage and the distance between the nozzle and the plate. The morphology, crystal phase, mechanical sensitivity, density, and thermal stability of the raw CL-20 and the as-sprayed CL-20 samples were determined using scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Furthermore, the density and the mechanical sensitivity were tested for the raw and the as-sprayed CL-20. DSC tests were conducted to compare the thermal stability and reactivity of the samples.

Self-assembled face-centered cubic FePt nanoparticles were embedded into the oxide capping layer using the atomic layer deposition technology. The effect of the oxide-matrix layer on the structure, mono-dispersibility, and magnetic properties of the FePt/oxide composite thin films was investigated. Experimental results suggest that the protection of the oxide-matrix capping layer can effectively inhibit the grain growth and particle aggregation, and preserve the ordered domains of the FePt nanoparticles during the L 1_0 ordering transition through annealing. The combination of the atomic layer deposition capping layer and self-assembled FePt nanoparticles provides a new potential approach to fabricate the ultrahigh-density magnetic recording media.

According to the ISO Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS), centred part alignment with one centred point can be described clearly using technical drawings. There are two main limitations of this standard; Firstly: the uncertainty over use of notations in technical drawings when more than one centred point is applied, and secondly, the use of fixed datum targets to centred points which causes an unstable alignment process. This article suggests a new approach for a functional, explicitly defined notation system of datums and datum systems based on the research of orientation constraints between datums. This new approach simplifies the technical drawing, thereby eliminating notation uncertainties. An improved methodology for a stable alignment process was developed based on physical analysis of the centred part alignment which implements movable datum targets.

Opis:
The scratch on a fused silica surface was treated as a chain of connected damage sites and mitigated one after another using CO2 laser irradiation. The optical microscopy image shows that a scratch with the width of about 30 μm and length of several millimeters can be completely mitigated without the formation of debris and bubbles. The mitigated scratch can survive under raster scan laser irradiation with the fluency increased up to 11.0J/cm2 at 3ns and 351nm. On the contrary, the substrate without CO2 laser mitigation is seriously damaged under this irradiation. The light modulation induced by mitigation is much smaller when the scratch is mitigated before being damaged. The light modulation is about 2 when the distance to the mitigated sample is larger than 20cm. The birefringence induced by residual stress in the mitigated scratch is measured. The retardance of the mitigated scratch before being damaged is not visible. Therefore, residual stress in this mitigated scratch before being damaged should be not a critical potential risk in laser damage.
