The goal of this paper is to help small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) to find operative competitive advantage. This paper introduces a new method which applies critical factor analysis, risk and opportunities analysis to measure and propose resource allocation for companies in couple of next years. this research shows Knowledge/Technology (K/T) Calculation effect on (Balanced) Critical Factor Index (CFIs) depending on the proportions allocated among the different technological levels (Basic, Core or Spearhead) for each attribute separately. Moreover it helps firms to take balance in resource allocation for each attribute in changing environments on the basis of different level of technology. This paper presents the ’first in the world’ case study on operative sustainable competitive advantage and corresponding risk levels by taking into account technology and knowledge effects for 7 SME companies.

Opis:
A scheme for real-time optical demultiplexing is proposed by utilizing the time-broadened and linearly chirped pulses instead of the conventional mode-locked pulses. The copies of the optical-time-division-multiplexed signal are acquired through a dual-pump parametric gate and used as the parametric multicast block. Simulation results show that the demultiplexing from 160 Gb/s down to sixteen 10 Gb/s tributaries can be achieved only by using a sampling source of 10 GHz. The proposed scheme can effectively reduce the complexity of parallel processing, and find important applications in the high-speed all-optical signal processing.

By combining experimental tests and numerical simulations, the output pressure of JO-9c explosive was measured for a series of small-sized charge diameters, and qualitative rules and a quantitative model were obtained for the influence of charge diameters upon the JO-9c explosive output pressure. Results show that a small-sized charge diameter has a significant influence on the output pressure; in addition, the closer the charge diameter gets to the JO-9c critical diameter, the greater is the effect. The limiting diameter of JO-9c is 5 mm, and the critical diameter is approximately 0.34 mm. The deviation between numerical simulation results and experimental values shows that the numerical simulation method can predict detonation pressure with 15% uncertainty in the study of detonation rules for small-sized charges.

Maritime accidents have received considerable attentions due to the enormous property damage, casualties and serious environmental pollution. This paper first makes statistical analysis of the different types of maritime accidents in the period of 2012 to 2014 in the Yangtze River. Second, the problems of emergency management of maritime accidents are also proposed from the analysis of the major accident “Eastern Star”.. Afterwards, four practice cases, including decision support for maritime accidents, emergency resource allocation, emergency simulation system and effectiveness of emergency management, are introduced to present the insights gained from these practices. Last, in order to address these problems, this paper proposes that an artificial societies, Computational experiments, and Parallel execution (ACP) approach should be introduced to establish an improved management system for maritime accidents in the future, and an ACP based maritime accident emergency management framework is proposed.

In this work, the dispersive effect of low molecular weight sodium polyacrylate (PAAS) on serpentine, and its dispersion mechanism were systematically investigated through zeta potential measurements, micro and batch flotation as well as adsorption tests. At pH 5, where flotation of iron sulphide was routinely performed, pyrite and serpentine minerals were oppositely charged, and therefore they were attracted to each other. Slime coatings of serpentine adhered to the surface of pyrite, decreasing the adsorption density of a collector on the pyrite surface, but also reducing the flotation recovery. PAAS increased the flotation recovery of pyrite by promoting dispersion between pyrite and serpentine. The effective flotation separation of pyrite from the refractory iron sulphide ore was possible by using PAAS as a dispersant. Anionic PAAS adjusted the surface potential of serpentine through adsorption on the serpentine surface and changed the interaction between pyrite and serpentine particles from attractive to repulsive, and then dispersed pyrite and serpentine.

Opis:
Novel lead and copper salts based on anthraquinone, including 1,8-dihydroxyanthraquinone,1,4,5,8-tetrahydroxyanthraquinone and 1,8-dihydroxy-4,5-dinitroanthraquinone, were prepared and characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), elemental analysis (EA), and X-ray fluorescence (XRF). The catalytic effects of these compounds on the decomposition of nitrocellulose (NC) and on the combustion properties of double-base (DB) and composite modified double-base (CMDB) propellants were comprehensively investigated. The results demonstrated that the burning rate is significantly increased (by 200%) in the lower pressure range (2-6 MPa) as compared to the control systems without added anthraquinone-based salts. Concurrently, the pressure exponents (n) were obviously lower, exhibiting a “wide-range plateau” combustion phenomenon in the middle-pressure region. Specifically, for the DB propellants such a plateau region extended from 10 MPa to 16 MPa for n equal to 0.10, from 10 MPa to 18 MPa for n equal to 0.11 and from 8 MPa to 18 MPa when n is 0.05. In the case of RDX-CMDB propellants, the plateau was found to be in the range 6-18 MPa, with n in the range 0.16-0.27, depending on the type of catalyst, in contrast to the reference CMDB sample, which was characterized by n equal to 0.7 for the same pressure range.

Coal mining is the dominating industry in the study area of Huainan (Province Anhui, China). As a consequence, subsidence of the surface takes place reaching up to 21 m. It is predicted that nearly 7.700 km2 will be affected until the end of coal mining activity. As a countermeasure, reclamation is done by depositing coal mining waste or fly ash. These substrates are covered with topsoil for agricultural use. The aim of this study is the relationship of the pH value, nutrients supply and water balance and other index between thickness of topsoil, in order to achieve sustainable and economic application of the reclaimed land.
W niniejszej pracy badano wpływ na środowiska przemysłowej Huainan (Prowincja Anhui, Chiny). Wykazano, że na tym obszarze subsydencja powierzchni sięga do 21 m. Oszacowano, że blisko 7700 km2 powierzchni zostanie dotknięte działalnością górniczą, dopóki prace górnicze nie zostaną wstrzymane. Aby zapobiec temu stanowi rzeczy, wykonuje się prace rekultywacyjne polegające na składowaniu odpadów górniczych oraz popiołów lotnych. Tę warstwę pokrywa się warstwą gleby ornej celem umożliwienia na tym terenie wprowadzenia upraw rolnych. Celem niniejszej pracy było ustalenia związku pomiędzy wartością pH value, a dostarczaniem nawozów sztucznych do gleby, jak również określenie bilansu wodnego potrzebnego do wykonania rekultywacji terenu.

The evolution of the microstructure of hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane (CL-20) after a thermal stimulus plays a key role in the performance of CL-20. In the current work, microstructural variations of CL-20 caused by thermal treatment were investigated by X-ray diffraction, in situ variable-temperature optical microscopy, atom force microscopy, and small-angle X-ray scattering. A wave-like process, an abrupt volume expansion, movement, and fragmentation of CL-20 particles during phase transition were observed. After the phase transition (160 °C) the CL-20 sample acquired a very rough surface with numerous dimple depressions, and during the thermal decomposition stage (200 °C) a large number of voids were produced in both the bulk and the surface of the CL-20.

Nitro and amine groups were introduced into the cyclopentane skeleton, and the heats of formation, detonation performance, bond dissociation energies, and impact sensitivity for these aminonitrocyclopentanes were calculated in detail at the B3LYP/6-311G** level. The results show that all of the derivatives have negative heats of formation, which are influenced by the position of the substituent groups. Their stabilities were estimated and analyzed according to their bond dissociation energies and calculated characteristic H50 values. Most of the compounds were found to have a lower impact sensitivity than HMX. Furthermore, the detonation velocities and detonation pressures were predicted via the Kamlet-Jacobs equation. Of all these aminonitrocyclopentanes, E has the best detonation properties (ρ = 2.05 g/cm3, D = 9.11 m/s, P = 39.62 GPa) and can be considered as a candidate high energy density material.

The thermal damage in octahydro-1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocine (HMX) based plastic-bonded explosive (PBX) was investigated using in situ small-angle neutron and X-ray scattering techniques. The microstructural evolution was quantitatively characterized by the model fitting parameters of total interfacial surface area (Sv) and void volume distribution. The Sv of HMX-PBX decreased markedly above 100 °C, indicating the movement of binder into the voids. After subsequent cooling to room temperature, the scattering intensity increased significantly with increasing storage time, and a new population of voids with average diameter of 20 nm was observed, accompanied by the gradual phase transition of HMX from δ- to β-phase. The experimental results implied that serious damage within the HMX-PBX was developed during storage after heating.
