A restriction of the name Anadenidae Pilsbry, 1948 to Asian species, i.e. members of the genus Anadenus Heynemann, 1862, is proposed. Anadenus (A.) nepalensis n. sp. is described. The following names are synonymized: Anadenus Heynemann, 1862 = Gymnanadenus Bhatia, 1926 syn. n.; Anadenus altivagus (Theobald, 1862) = Limax modestus Theobald, 1862 syn. n. = A. schlagintweiti Heynemann, 1862 syn. n. = A. jerdoni Godwin-Austen, 1882 syn. n. = A. beebei Cockerell, 1913 syn. n. = A. dalhousiensis Bhatia, 1926 syn. n. = A. (Gymnanadenus) matthaii Bhatia, 1926 syn. n. Names of unclear status are regarded as nomina dubia: Anadenus banerjeei Rajagopal, 1973; A. dautzenbergi, Collinge, 1900; A. giganteus Heynemann, 1862; A. insignis Godwin-Austen, 1882 and A. sinensis Möllendorff, 1899. All the known species-level taxa are discussed, based on the type material, museum specimens and newly acquired material. The descriptions, illustrated with original figures and photos, include external appearance, taxonomically useful characters of internal structure, especially genitalia, localities and numerous comments on taxonomy; an original identification key to species is provided.

Opis:
Communicative aggressions can be explained as a value based conflict in a media sphere about the symbols of belief. They result to value based polarization of public conciseness which feeds general aggressive tone towards otherness. The analyses of this phenomena is a burning scientific objective which is reached on the base of axiologically oriented media researches. The paper discloses the aim and objectives of further research of communicative aggressions of the XXI century. The research is undertaken by the initiative group of researchers (political scientists, linguists and experts in field of journalism and mass communication theory) from Poland, Russia and Finland. Based on the assumption that communicative aggressions is a way to make informational damage to an opponent/enemy the project plans to analyze the symbolic bases of this phenomenon, the practices of communicative aggressions in a policultural environment as well as roots of nihilism and hate in political online communications. The paper covers theoretical approaches to the interpretation of the phenomena of communicative aggressions. Value based analyses is promoted as an adequate research approach to learn about new phenomenon.

Opis:
Material collected during malacological surveys in Pakistan in 1990–1992 is discussed. Previously, only one slug species, Anadenus altivagus Theobald, 1862, was recorded from Pakistan. Deroceras laeve (O. F. Müller, 1774) and Candaharia rutellum (Hutton, 1849) are documented for the first time from the country. Distribution maps and ecological notes are provided for the Pakistan records of these three slug species.

Limax seticus n. sp. from Nepal belongs to a genus whose distribution range was believed to be limited to theWestern Palaearctic, the ranges of other genera of the family Limacidae being also situated far from the type locality. This alpine site (the highest situated locality known for slugs) on the foreland of a glacier and the natural character of the habitat exclude the possibility of introduction. In its external appearance, structure of genitalia and of alimentary canal, L. seticus resembles the European L. cinereoniger, but it is five times smaller and differs in some other characters.

Celem pracy było określenie wpływu jedno- oraz dwukrotnego zamrażania i rozmrażania na wybrane właściwości fizyczne wybranych produktów spożywczych. W tym celu próbki tkanki roślinnej (ziemniaka, buraka, banana) oraz tkanki zwierzęcej (schabu wieprzowego) poddano jedno- lub dwukrotnemu zamrażaniu i rozmrażaniu, a następnie zmierzono w nich zawartość suchej substancji, przewodność elektryczną właściwą, przewodność cieplną właściwą, objętościowe ciepło właściwe oraz dyfuzyjność cieplną. Stwierdzono, że przewodność elektryczna właściwa w wyniku zamrażania/rozmrażania rośnie istotnie w porównaniu z materiałem świeżym, niezależnie od rodzaju badanych próbek. Pomiar przewodności elektrycznej właściwej okazał się być skutecznym narzędziem do identyfikacji powtórnego zamrożenia tkanki warzyw (ziemniaka oraz buraka ćwikłowego). W większości przypadków nie stwierdzono natomiast istotnych zmian właściwości cieplnych wskutek zamrażania i rozmrażania bez względu na liczbę cykli tej obróbki technologicznej. Istotne zmiany stwierdzono wyłącznie w przypadku dyfuzyjności cieplnej banana oraz buraka ćwikłowego.
The aim of this work was to analyze the possibility of electrical conductivity and thermal properties measurement to identify repeated freezing and thawing treatment of food products. To do this three different plant origin tissues: potato, beetroot, banana and one animal origin sample (pork chop) were selected. Samples were prepared in a cylindrical form (diameter of 18 mm and height of 5 mm) and afterwards they were frozen at –18°C and kept in this temperature for 24 h. Afterwards all materials were thawed by the means of natural convection at room temperature (18°C) and either freezing and thawing cycle was repeated. Samples subjected to double freezing and thawing cycle underwent the same analysis that samples frozen and thawed only once. In thawed (or double thawed) material electrical conductivity, dry matter substance, thermal conductivity, specific volumetric heat and thermal diffusivity were determined. Obtained results were statistically analyzed by the means of ANOVA, two-way ANOVA, Pearsons’s correlation and PCA procedures. Electrical conductivity of frozen and thawed samples were higher in comparison to raw material regardless the number of freezing and thawing cycles. However, bigger differences were stated for plant origin tissue. For instance, electrical conductivity of frozen and thawed beetroot was 27.1 times higher than electrical conductivity of fresh material. In the case of pork chop the increment was only 1.1 times higher when compared to raw sample. It was possible to statistically (α = 0.05) identify repeated freezing and thawing cycle only in the case of vegetable tissue, i.e. potato and beetroot. Similar results were obtained regarding dry matter content of examined materials. The differences between material which was frozen and thawed in one cycle and in two cycles were statistically irrelevant in the case of banana and pork chop samples. Freezing and thawing regardless the number of cycles in general did not altered significantly the thermal conductivity and specific volumetric heat of investigated material. Relevant changes were found only for beetroot and banana in the case of thermal diffusivity when compared fresh and frozen and thawed material. Therefore, it can be stated that it is possible to utilize electrical conductivity to identify repeated freezing and thawing of vegetable tissue whereas thermal properties measurement utilization in this field is limited.
