Opis:
The paper presents a general introduction of Rajasthani – the language used in North-Western India – the development of the language and the beginnings of Rajasthani literature. It also draws attention to the complexity of linguistic nomenclature used for Rajasthani and to its relation with other North Indian languages, with a special regard to Hindi. The rise of literary tradition in the vernacular of North-Western India and its connection with the history of Hindi literature is analysed. Rajasthani is considered to be the first vernacular of North India in which literature has evolved, and hence predates the oldest works from the region known as Hindi belt by at least two hundred years. Rajasthani and Gujarati used to have one linguistic form, which only split into two languages after the 15th century whereby Rajasthani adopted its modern form, still used today, and Gujarati developed independently. The claims of some scholars that the initial literary period of North-Western India – i.e. until the 15th century – be included in the history of Hindi literature are also presented in the paper.

Opis:
Poly(L-lactide-co-glycolide-co-trimethylene carbonate) rods with risperidone and 17-β-estradiol were sterilized by electron beam irradiation. The aim of the study was to assess electron beam irradiation impact on terpolymer composition, chain microstructure, glass transition temperature, molecular weight and the morphological features of rods. Methods: Hot melt extrusion in the formulation of rods was applied. Sterilization of the rods was performed by electron beam in an electron beam accelerator (10 MeV, 360 mA, 25 kGy). The following methods in the development of rods were applied: nuclear magnetic resonance, differential scanning calorimetry, gel permeation chromatography and scanning electron microscopy. Results: Sterilization influenced only glass transition temperature in blind rods and rods with risperidone. As for the other parameters, no significant changes were observed as far as a sterilization effect is concerned. However, some changes were noted after introducing drug substances and after extrusion. Conclusions: Electron beam irradiation of rods with risperidone and rods with 17-β-estradiol is an adequate method for sterilizing implantable drug delivery systems.

Opis:
Vietnam has the 13th largest hard coal reserves globally, with the reserves totaling 2.22 billion tonnes, and estimated resources of 4.07 billion tonnes. Coal use is playing an increasing role in the energy mix and according to current planning, this role is to increase further. In parallel with the development of the Vietnamese coal sector, underground mining also underwent many stages of improvements, especially in the last two decades. This paper analyzes the achievement and the state of the mining technology applied into the underground mining by the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Ltd. (VINACOMIN) during 20 year period and proposes the recommendations for the sustainable development of Vietnam underground mining.

Introduction and objective. Y. enterocolitica is the causative agent of yersiniosis. The objective of the article was a study of single nucleotide polymorphism in the ystB gene of Y. enterocolitica strains isolated from various wild animal species. Materials and method. High-resolution melting (HRM) analysis was applied to identify single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) of ystB gene fragments of 88 Y. enterocolitica biotype 1A strains isolated from wild boar, roe deer, red deer and wild ducks. Results. HRM analysis revealed 14 different melting profiles – 4 of them were defined as regular genotypes (G1, G2, G3, G4), whereas 10 as variations. 24 of the examined Y. enterocolitica strains were classified as G1, 18 strains as a G2, 21 strains as a G3, and 15 strains as a G4. Nucleotide sequences classified as G1 revealed 100% similarity with the Y. enterocolitica D88145.1 sequence (NCBI). Analysis of G2 revealed one point mutation – transition T111A. One mutation was also found in G3, but SNP was placed in a different gene region – transition G193A. Two SNPs – transitions G92C and T111A – were identified in G4. Direct sequencing of 10 variations revealed 5 new variants of the ystB nucleotide sequence: V1 – transition G129A (3 strains); V2 – transitions T111A and G193A (2 strains); V3 – transitions C118T and G193A (1 strain); V4 – transitions C141A and G193A (2 strains); and V5 characterized by 19 SNPs: G83A, T93A, A109G, G114T, C116T, A123G, T134C, T142G, T144C, A150C, G162A, T165G, T170G, T174A, T177G, G178A, A179G, A184G and G193A (2 strains). The predominant genotype in isolates from wild ducks was G1; in red deer G2; in wild boar G3; in roe deer G1 and G4. Conclusions. The proposed HRM method could be used to analyze Y. enterocolitica biotype 1A strains isolated from different sources, including humans.

Opis:
Rare earth (RE) elements are important for the optical tuning of wide bandgap oxides (WBO) such as β-Ga2O3 or ZnO, because β-Ga2O3:RE or ZnO:RE show narrow emission lines in the visible, ultra-violet and infra-red region. Ion implantation is an attractive method to introduce dopant into the crystal lattice with an extraordinary control of the dopant ion composition and location, but it creates the lattice damage, which may render the dopant optically inactive. In this research work, we investigate the post-implantation crystal lattice damage of two matrices of wide-bandgap oxides, β-Ga2O3 and ZnO, implanted with rare-earth (RE) to a fluence of 5 x 10^14, 1 x 10^15 and 3 x 10^15 atoms/cm^2, and post-growth annealed in Ar and O2 atmosphere, respectively. The effect of implantation and annealing on both crystal lattices was investigated by channeling Rutherford backscattering spectrometry (RBS/C) technique. The level of crystal lattice damage caused by implantation with the same RE fluences in the case of β-Ga2O3 seems to be higher than in the case of ZnO. Low temperature photoluminescence was used to investigate the optical activation of RE in both matrices after performed annealing.
