    Changes in the legal conditions influencing the competitiveness of the electricity market necessitate a strategic reorientation of companies in this sector. Energy policy, market liberalization and increase in energy security, determine the requirement of permanent adjustment processes of energy companies in which restructuring plays a key role. This paper focuses on the issue of the nature and role of restructuring in the process of building a competitive energy company. Its aim is to determine the factors that enable restructuring and constitute its driving force, and to identify areas and ways of its implementation as an imperative of the strategic reorientation of the energy company

    Cluster is an example of a specific solution for improve the market position of companies participating in it. The aim of the article is to point out the possibilities of using cluster in logistics operations. There were different approaches to the concept and examples of cases of clusters operating in logistics, pointing to the essence of clustering in the sector, taking into account revealing barriers.

Celami opracowania są identyfikacja zjawiska koopetycji i uwarunkowań stosowania strategii koopetycji oraz analiza występujących relacji łączących kooperujące podmioty, na przykładzie współpracy przedsiębiorstw z branży energetycznej w warunkach ciągłej restrukturyzacji sektora. W artykule podjęto próbę analizy występujących relacji łączących kooperujące podmioty na przykładzie podejmowanej współpracy polskich przedsiębiorstw branży energetycznej w warunkach dynamiki zmian oraz wzrostu potrzeb restrukturyzacji sektora. Do osiągnięcia celu niniejszego artykułu niezbędne było użycie adekwatnych metod badawczych. Zastosowano metodę analizy literatury, metodę analizy i studium przypadku. Wykorzystano techniki badawcze w postaci obserwacji oraz badania dokumentów.
    The coopetition strategy has been inspiring for years due to the duality of its nature, which combines two opposing paradigms of competition and cooperation. The integration of these phenomena, which is the expression of a new quality of scientific considerations and the change dynamics of strategic business models, is increasingly becoming part of energy sector corporate strategies. This paper focuses on the issue of the nature and role of coopetition in the development of an organization as a new economic paradigm characterized by large, multidimensional exploratory potential. Its aim is to identify the phenomenon of coopetition and analyze the conditions, benefits and risks of the coopetition strategy. The author attempts to assess the relationships between coopetitors on the examples of cooperation processes in Polish energy companies in the conditions of continuous change dynamics and a growing need for the restructuring of the energy sector.

    Wokół części fortyfikacji Twierdzy Wrocław, wznoszonych od 1890 roku, funkcjonowały ograniczenia w korzystaniu z gruntów do celów cywilnych. W ten sposób rezerwowano grunty o charakterze służebnym zróżnicowane pod względem reżimu ochronnego niezbędne dla części fortów i schronów piechoty. Rejony ograniczeń zabudowy organizowały przestrzeń wokół pierścienia fortyfikacji oraz, w pewnym sensie, przyszłe pole walki. Miały istotne znaczenie w obronności miasta i w równym stopniu wpływały na rozwój przestrzenny metropolii. Obecnie ślady rejonów stanowią historyczną spuściznę po dawnej twierdzy, istotną z punktu widzenia świadomie kształtowanego na cele wojskowe historycznego krajobrazu miasta. W artykule przedstawiono wstępne wyniki badań nad zmianami pokrycia i ukształtowania terenu w obszarze rejonów wybranych fortyfikacji wzdłuż rzeki Widawy.

    Opis:
    Sliding wear properties and corrosion resistance in Ringer’s solution of uncoated and diamond-like carbon (DLC) coated X46Cr13 steel was tested. The Raman spectra showed that the DLC film was successfully coated by plasma assisted CVD method onto the steel surface. The wear test, carried out using a ball-on disk tribometer, revealed that the DLC coating show better resistance to sliding wear and lower friction coefficient against a 100Cr6 steel ball than five times softer X46Cr13 steel. The oxidation kinetic parameters were determined by means of both the gravimetric and electrochemical method. It was found that the DLC coating markedly decreased the rate of corrosion of the X46Cr13 steel, irrespective of the corrosion mechanism involved.

    Opis:
    Heat accumulation means denotes the of a material to collect and store inside a specific amount of thermal energy, which can be then returned for a period time from the material. There are many investigations devoted to finding a method to collect heat when there is an excess and to use it when there is a deficit. The parameter determining whether the returned heat long for a term will have an impact on the room temperature, is the time of emission of stored energy. For the specified amount of stored energy, the emission time cannot be too short (in such a case too much heat in the unit time is returned) or too long (in this case a too small amount of heat in the time unit is returned, for example insufficient for heating rooms). The main aim of this research is to investigate the behavior (during cooling) of natural rock materials. On the basis of research and performed calculations the evaluation of tested materials to serve as the heat accumulator was performed. This analysis would allow them to be applied for the production of components, including precast, working at elevated temperatures, in which the accumulation and transfer of heat is important (eg. housing furnaces and fireplaces).
    Akumulacja ciepła oznacza zdolność materiału do gromadzenia i magazynowania w jego wnętrzu określonej porcji energii cieplnej, która następnie może być przez pewien okres czasu przez ten materiał oddawana. Szuka się więc sposobów gromadzenia ciepła wtedy, gdy jest jego nadmiar oraz wykorzystania, gdy występuje deficyt. Parametrem, decydującym o tym czy oddający ciepło materiał w sposób długotrwały będzie oddziaływał na temperaturę pomieszczenia, jest czas oddawania (emisji) zgromadzonej energii. Przy danej ilości zgromadzonej energii, czas jej emisji nie może być zbyt krótki (wtedy w jednostce czasu oddawane są zbyt duże ilości ciepła) ani zbyt długi (wtedy w jednostce czasu oddawane są zbyt małe ilości ciepła, niewystarczające np. do ogrzania pomieszczenia). W niniejszej pracy zrelacjonowano eksperyment polegający na badaniu zachowania się, podczas studzenia, naturalnych surowców mineralnych. Na tej podstawie badań oraz wykonanych obliczeń oceniono jego zdolność do akumulacji cieplnej. Pozwoliłoby to na stosowanie ich do wytwarzania elementów, w tym prefabrykatów, pracujących w podwyższonych temperaturach, gdzie jest istotna akumulacja i oddawanie ciepła (np. obudowy palenisk i komików).

    The paper shows an influence of doping on lattice constant of a semiconductor. Three effects are discussed: (i) "size" effect caused by a different ionic radii of dopant and host atoms, (ii) lattice expansion by free electrons proportionally to the deformation potential of the conduction-band minimum occupied by this charge, (iii) different thermal expansion of the undoped and doped samples. The experiments have been performed by using the high resolution X-ray diffraction at 77-770 K on AlGaAs:Te and GaAs:Si.

    Opis:
    Seven major types of sea space use (Nature Protection Measures, Fisheries Ex- ploitation, Geological Exploitation, Recreation, Large Infrastructures, Navigation, Military uses) in the Polish Marine Areas are presented in terms of how much space is used (km2) for each use and the degree of overlap among the different uses. The greatest degree of conflict is noted with regard to Nature Protection (which overlaps with 60% of the areas used for Recreation and Geological Exploitation), and Fisheries Exploitation (which overlaps with 60% of the areas used for Nature Protection, Recreation, Infrastructure and Navigation). On the other hand, Fisheries Exploitation areas are the least disturbed by other users, and its major competitor is Nature Protection, which claims 20% of the areas used by fisheries. A GIS–based map that illustrates the degree of conflict is included, and the authors suggest participatory management as the proper way to minimize conflicts over sea space use and to promote the effective protection of natural resources.

    Opis:
    The authors report on growth and results of infrared measurements of GaInN heavily doped with silicon. The lattice matched to GaN epitaxial layer of $Ga_{0.998}In_{0.002}N:Si$ has been grown in plasma assisted molecular beam epitaxy in the metal rich conditions. The room temperature Hall concentration and mobility of electrons are 2× $10^{20} cm^{-3}$ and 67 $cm^{2}$/(Vs), respectively. The refractive index has been determined by variable angle spectroscopic ellipsometry. The refractive index exhibited a significant reduction of its value (from 2.25 to 2 at 1.55 μm) at near IR range where are the main interests of potential applications for nitride based intersubband devices. Reported here values of refractive indices at 1.55 and 1.3 μm are appropriate for fabrication of cladding layers with the required contrast to GaN for intersubband devices. The observed drop of refractive index is attributed to the carrier-induced plasma edge effect, which has been directly observed in reflectance spectrum.

    We present experimental evidence that at high pressures indium donors in CdTe localize electrons in spatially correlated manner. We have studied Hall mobility, μ$\text{}_{H}$, as a function of electron concentration, n$\text{}_{H}$, at T=77 K. Changes of n$\text{}_{H}$ have been achieved by two methods. High pressure freeze-out of electrons onto localized states of In-donors leads to the mobility enhancement with respect to the situation when n$\text{}_{H}$ has been modified by means of a subsequent annealing of the sample. As a result, depending on the degree of spatial correlations in the impurity charges arrangement, different values of μ$\text{}_{H}$ correspond to the same value of n$\text{}_{H}$. The variation of mobility with electron concentration suggests that the localized state of In-donor represents likely negatively charged DX state.

    Spin relaxation in degenerated two-dimensional (2D) electron gas is studied by measurements of the magnetic field dependence of the weak antilocalization corrections to the conductivity in GaInAs quantum wells. Consistent quantitative (up to order of magnitude) description of weak antilocalization data on GaAs like heterojunctions and quantum wells was obtained. Our results show that spin precession around the effective magnetic field direction as described by the Dyakonov-Perel model is the main spin relaxation mechanism in degenerated 2D electron gas in semiconductors with no inversion symmetry.

    High resistivity 10$\text{}^{4}$-10$\text{}^{6}$ Ω cm (300 K) GaN single crystals were obtained by solution growth under high N$\text{}_{2}$ pressure from melted Ga with 0.1-0.5at.% of Mg. Properties of these crystals are compared with properties of conductive crystals grown by a similar method from pure Ga melt. In particular, it is shown that Mg-doped GaN crystals have better structural quality in terms of FWHM of X-ray rocking curve and low angle boundaries. Temperature dependence of electrical resistivity suggests hopping mechanism of conductivity. It is also shown that strain free GaN homoepitaxial layers can be grown on the Mg-doped GaN substrates.

    Opis:
    In this note we report briefly on the details of pulsed-current operated "blue" laser diode, constructed in our laboratories, which utilizes bulk GaN substrate. As described in Ref. [1] the substrate GaN crystal was grown by HNPSG method, and the laser structure was deposited on the conducting substrate by MOCVD techniques (for the details see Sec. 2 and Sec. 4 of Ref.~[1], respectively).
