Opis:
The subject of the study were high-rise office and mixed-use buildings in Europe, with a height exceeding 150 meters and realized after the year 2000. The aim of the analysis was to examine the correlation between form and structure of the overground parts of this buildings. The skyscrapers were categorized according to the analysis of the core location and the form of the building. The article presents the results of analyses of skyscrapers with a single, inner core. The analyzed high-rise buildings’ forms are highly varied. Although the skyscrapers of biaxial symmetry plans seem to dominate, one can observe the increasing forgoing of design forms with regular, repetitive floors. However, translating the projects with free-form shapes into the material form constitutes a significant problem. The most important parts of the skyscraper are the ground floor and the top part, which is often shaped as a structure between a flat ending and a spire. The structure of high-rise buildings in Europe almost always rely on the cooperation of the core with the peripheral supports. The cores, frames and ceilings are based on different material solutions, but the most common combination is the whole structure made of the monolithic reinforced concrete. The core is usually placed in the central part of the plan and its area on the average equals 23% of the ground floor’s area. The dimensions and areas of the cores are mainly functionally conditioned, and they decrease as the height grows taller.

Opis:
Europe cities with their dense historic fabrics greeted skyscrapers with a great deal of scepticism. It was not until the 1950s that Europe began to construct buildings taller than 100 meters. By 2013, skyscrapers had been constructed in over 100 European cities located in 30 different countries, and the trend towards the expansion of high-rise construction continues. Nonetheless, rarely does a comprehensive study of the development of the European high-rise buildings take place. The aim of the study is to fill in the gaps in this knowledge. In addition, the analyses aim at identifying the dominant type of high-rise buildings. Research shows that a record number of skyscrapers were completed in the first decade of the 21st century and it appears that this record might be surpassed in the next. Although Europe is currently constructing its first two supertall skyscrapers, European buildings generally do not exceed 250 meters. Today, the majority of European skyscrapers are office buildings; although in the 21st century there has been an increasingly significant tendency to equalize the quantity of residential and office buildings. Moreover, the highest European skyscrapers are designed as mixed-use buildings. Significant development continues in leading centres of high-rise office construction located in the area between the United Kingdom and Italy, in Spain, and in Central and Eastern Europe. The majority of European office towers have been built in capitals. The key centres in the ongoing office skyscrapers’ development remain: Paris, Frankfurt and London.

Opis:
Pomnik przyrody to jedna z dziesięciu form ochrony przyrody w Polsce. Według Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego obecnie jest ich na terenie kraju 35094. Wśród nich wyróżnia się pomnikowe drzewa, źródła, wywierzyska, wodospady, skałki, jary, jaskinie. Spośród prawnie chronionych obiektów drzewa stanowią najliczniejszą grupę (94,40%). Są to pojedyncze drzewa, grupy drzew, aleje. Sędziwe drzewa oraz związane z nimi tajemnicze historie, wierzenia i legendy mogą stać się zasobem interesującym turystów. Czasem mogą stanowić przyrodniczą wizytówkę miejscowości, być istotnym elementem jej promocji. Turystyka stwarza człowiekowi dogodne warunki do poznawania wartości, odbierania różnego rodzaju treści poznawczych i estetycznych. Drzewa, jako element naturalnego krajobrazu, wśród bogactwa zasobów przyrodniczych mogą stać się również podstawą rozwoju turystyki edukacyjnej. W niniejszej pracy zostaną przedstawione przykłady i możliwości turystycznego wykorzystania drzew pomnikowych występujących na terenie Państwowego Gospodarstwa Leśnego „Lasy Państwowe” (PGL LP) jako obiektów dziedzictwa przyrodniczego, i kulturowego.
The monuments of nature are the one of ten forms of protection of nature in Poland. In according to Main Statistical Office is them on terrain of country 35094. Among them the monumental trees, waterfalls, canyons and caves of source. Trees make up are the most numerous group (94,40%) from among legally protected objects. They are individual trees, group of trees, alleys. Old trees as well as connected with them mysterious histories, belief sand legends can stand with interesting tourists supply. They can make up the natural visiting-card of locality, essential element of his promotion. The trees, as element of natural scenery, among wealth of natural supplies can stand with basis of development of educational function tourism also. The examples in present introduced and the possibility of touristic use of monumental trees of The State Forests National Forest Holding terrain as objects of natural, historical and cultural heritage.

Opis:
Single crystals of 21-hydroxyprogesterone have been γ-irradiated at 295 K and studied using X-band ESR and ENDOR. The structure of the one type radical has been determined on the basis of an analysis of the angular variation of the spectra. This radical is formed by abstraction of the hydrogen atom from the C(6) carbon, while the unpaired electron is delocalised onto the system O(3), C(3), C(4), C(5), C(6). Hyperfine splitting constants and unpaired electron density distribution have been calculated for the proposed radical structure by using the Gaussian98 set of programs. The results are in very good agreement with the experimental data. The effect of the hydrogen bond and biological activity on the anisotropy of α-hyperfine splitting tensor have also been discussed.

Opis:
The aim of the study was to analysis the criteria applied to the trees that are the candidates to become the monuments of nature and their importance attribute of the natural and social for recognition to embracing individual law protection in Poland. The study attempts to classify trees that are monuments of nature in terms of natural and social aspects, as part of the methodology for recognition the trees as the natural monuments. Attention was paid to the role of trees in the environment, with particular emphasis to the old specimens and trees with significant role because of their natural and cultural values. Trees – monuments of nature are a valuable cultural and natural heritage, but what distinguish them from the monuments of material culture is the fact that it is not possible to restore them. Hence, prudent determination of specimens, which will constitute in the future a natural monument, is particularly important because of their social importance and also to obtain funds for their care, maintenance and arrangement of the environment.
