The studied section of the upper Narew river is an example of an anastomosing system. It consists of a network of interconnected channels and interchannel areas covered with peat-forming rush and reed vegetation. The channels have low longitudinal gradient, are laterally stable, relatively deep, they have sandy bed and strongly overgrown banks. There are no natural levees built of clastic sediment. Straight-type channels dominate in the channel system. Meandering reaches lack discernible point bar topography. Vegetation plays an important role in the evolution of the anastomosing system of the Narew.
Badany odcinek Narwi jest przykładem systemu rzeki anastomozującej. Składa się on z sieci rozdzielających się i ponownie łączących się koryt oraz z obszarów pozakorytowych, porośniętych roślinnością torfotwórczą. Koryta mają mały spadek, są stosunkowo głębokie i lateralnie stabilne, a ich brzegi są silnie zarośnięte. Większość koryt ma stosunkowo niewielką krętość, ale podrzędnie występują także odcinki kręte, typu meandrującego, pozbawione jednak dostrzegalnych łuków przyrostowych, charakterystycznych dla topografii odsypów meandrowych. Brak jest wyraźnie rozwiniętych wałów przykorytowych zbudowanych z materiału klastycznego. Roślinność odgrywa znaczącą rolę w rozwoju omawianego systemu.

Predomination of sandy bedload is typical of the anastomosing channels of the Narew River. Several types of in-channel accretionary macroforms have been found in these channels: side bars, concave-bank bars, plug bars, point bars, linguoid bars, and mid-channel bars. The first three types are relatively rare, point bars occur only exceptionally, while linguoid bars and mid-channel bars are quite common. The bars usually occur in main channels, which are the master routes of sand transport in the whole anastomosing system of the Narew. The lower parts of the bars are built of coarse- and medium-grained sand, similarly to the sediments in the deeper parts of the channels. Fine-grained sand, locally alternating with organic-rich muddy sand, predominates usually in the upper parts; peat with high content of sand is present in the highest parts of some bars. All bars are rapidly colonised and stabilised by plants. It is for this reason and due to the low energy of the river that the bar sediments have a high preservation potential. The development of bars is usually not accompanied by lateral migration of channels. Consequently, sediment accretion in bars is one of the factors leading to gradual narrowing of channels. Deposits of some sand-bars, when preserved in fossil record, may probably be represented by characteristic "wings" in the outer parts of ribbon-like sand bodies.

Elastyczność rynku pracy jest jednym z czynników warunkujących efektywność jego funkcjonowania oraz sprawność zagospodarowania zasobów ludzkich w gospodarce. W dłuższym okresie może wpływać na polepszenie sytuacji na rynku pracy. Można zaobserwować jednak obawy, związane ze społecznymi konsekwencjami wzrostu elastyczności na rynku pracy, a w szczególności ze stosowaniem elastycznych form zatrudnienia i organizacji czasu pracy. Z badań wynika, że mogą one mieć niekorzystny wpływ na stopień ochrony rynku pracy, w tym pracowników.
The flexible market of labour can significantly increase the competitiveness of ones country economy. The flexible forms of employment actually became more and more popular in the population of workers, as well within their employers. The discussed forms make many unemployed possible return to a position of employed persons, as well make possible them to work in accordance with their needs, and help entrepreneurs increase the efficiency of their business activity, due to the labour cost engagement cutting, as well support adjusting the engagement structure to actual needs of a business. The flexible forms of employment have also a numerous weakness, coming above all from the lack or not existing adequate legal regulations. The interviewed persons have stated that the assessed flexible forms of employment are less advantageous to workers, because do not guarantee them the same rights, which have persons engaged on contract of work on not limited and full time of work.

Zachowania dzieci i młodzieży podlegają takim samym prawidłowościom jak osób starszych, jednak noszą też cechy charakterystyczne tylko dla omawianej grupy konsumentów. Ze względu na rosnącą aktywność młodych osób na rynku, można zaobserwować wzrost badań na temat ich uczestnictwa w decyzjach zakupowych. Problematyka ta jest zagadnieniem interesującym dla producentów i handlowców, którzy poznając prawidłowości postępowania młodych decydentów, mogą zdobytą wiedzę wykorzystać do zaspokojenia ich potrzeb. Również ekonomiści twierdzą, że warto inwestować w ten rozwijający się segment rynkowy.
Children and youth are a very important group of buyers which is relevant to the development of the market of consumer goods. From an early age they actively participate in the process of making purchases. Older children have a greater impact in family on the final decision on the selection of products. Young people make purchase for themselves and another members of family. They often take independent decisions, however, they willingly make the purchase with parents or colleagues because of lack of experience. Children and youth are a group of consumers which is very susceptible to suggestions and can be easily mislead.

The Western Outer Carpathians flysch of Poland comprises clasts of crystalline rocks representing source areas that supplied sedimentary basins with clastic material. Zircon from quartz syenite and granite cobbles representing the Silesian Ridge, the currently unexposed source area located at the southern margin of the Silesian Basin, yielded uniform U-Pb dates of 604š6 Ma and 599š6 Ma. These are interpreted as the age of igneous crystallization. Similarly, zircon from a gneiss cobble derived from the northern source terrain gave 610š6 Ma date, which is interpreted as the age of crystallization of the granitic protolith to the gneiss. The Neoproterozoic magmatism is interpreted to have occurred at the Gondwana active margin.

The article shows the possible ways of use of federated database technologies in data management in the logistic chains of companies. The architectures and components of software for creating the federated systems and some suggestions for the architecture of data management information systems for companies are presented in the text. The mentioned solution stands a proposal to resolve the difficult problem of cooperation between the computer information systems in companies, which refers to making the data of company available to the external users and managing data in the logistic chain. The authors included an overall review of commercial software, which can be used to build the software of data managing in the chains of cooperating companies.

The paper presents a sound synthesizer dedicated to parametric sound compression, but also able to generate any signal in the audible band. The synthesizer is realized on an FPGA platform, and it uses additive sound synthesis. The synthesizer is characterized by a high quality, faithful reproduction of sound and low power consumption.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań wpływu zewnętrznego stałego pola elektrycznego na moment hamujący w układzie: wirujący wał–olej–uszczelnienie wargowe. W badaniach używano bazowych olejów silnikowych syntetycznych: glikol polialkilenowy (polyalkylene glycol = PAG) i polialfaolefina (polyalphaolefin = PAO) oraz dodatków uszlachetniających: przeciwzużyciowy (AW) i modyfikator tarcia (FM). Doświadczenia te prowadzono dla różnych temperatur czystych olejów bazowych i ich mieszanin z dodatkami AW i FM. Właściwości elektroreologiczne bazowych olejów i ich mieszanin z ww. dodatkami AW i FM wyznaczono na stanowisku składającym się z reometru pracującego w układzie obracająca się tarcza–płyta i z przystawki umożliwiającej wytworzenie stałego pola elektrycznego między tarczą i płytą.
The paper presents the experimental results of research on the effect of an external DC electric field on the braking torque in a rotating shaft–oil– –rotary lip seal system. In the research, polyalkylene glycol (PAG) and polyalphaolefin (PAO) base oils and two additives antiwear (AW) and friction modifier (FM) were used. These experiments were performed for different temperatures of pure base oils and their blends with the AW and FM agents. Electrorheological properties of base oils and blends with AW and FM additives were performed using a rotating rheometer, which worked in the plate-plate system. A DC voltage across the upper and lower plates was generated by a current/voltage power pack. In both experiments, it was found that the DC electric field in both interfacial systems caused the braking torque and the complex viscosity modulus to be changed.

Pure and undoped strontium-barium niobate Sr_{0.40}Ba_{0.60}Nb₂O₆ (SBN40) single crystals grown by the Czochralski method were investigated by single crystal X-ray diffraction methods. The study below T_{C} (429 K for SBN40) confirmed the structure with P4bm space group. Above this temperature the structure transforms into the paraelectric, centrosymmetric one with P4/mbm space group. Analysis of the recorded diffraction patterns allowed to observe several signs of crystal structure modulation. On the registered diffraction images satellite reflections were found. A modulation vector q=(δ,±δ,), where δ=0.3075(6) (at room temperature) was found and it was similar to that occurring in the SBN61. In addition, above the phase transition temperature on the (hk) planes with l integer a weak diffuse scattering was observed.

In recent years there has been a marked increase in the competitiveness of some very interesting (user) applications software within the field of computer graphics and animation. This paper presents an analysis of selected examples of the use of graphic applications software designed for professional use within various areas of human activity, and also focusses on the potential for further development of this software. Graphic applications software that makes use of motion capture, performance capture, time-lapse, morphing, Augmented Reality and the use of avatars in human-computer communication has become increasingly popular, cheap and simple.

W Krakowie, ze względu na zwartą zabudowę w śródmieściu, dąży się do wprowadzania działań na rzecz zrównoważonej mobilności. W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono wybrane rozwiązania wraz z ich oceną. Pierwszym przykładem jest wprowadzenie strefy pieszej na ulicy Grodzkiej, natomiast drugim – zmiana organizacji ruchu na I obwodnicy. W pierwszym z rozwiązań wprowadzono strefę A (strefa ruchu pieszego) na odcinku ulicy Grodzkiej od skrzyżowania z ulicą Poselską do skrzyżowania z ulicą św. Idziego. Ocena tego rozwiązania polegała na sprawdzeniu, czy ograniczenie dojazdu samochodem wpłynęło na zmniejszenie przychodów podmiotów gospodarczych funkcjonujących przy ulicy Grodzkiej. Analizie poddano wpływy z podatków przed i po zmianie organizacji ruchu. Drugie rozwiązanie polegało na zmianie organizacji ruchu wokół Plant. Wraz z przebudową ulic: Podwale, Straszewskiego oraz Basztowej wprowadzono ruch jednokierunkowy, przeciwnie do ruchu wskazówek zegara dla samochodów, a wewnętrzną jezdnię zamieniono na pas rowerowy. W tej części analizy skupiono się na porównaniu czasów przejazdu tramwajów przed i po zmianie organizacji ruchu oraz czasów przejazdu rowerem po nowym pasie rowerowym w odniesieniu do istniejących już tras przez Rynek Główny oraz Planty.
In Cracow, because of its compact spatial development in historic city centre, sustainable urban mobility schemes have been introduced. This article presents examples of such solutions, together with their assessment. First example is the introduction of pedestrian zone in the section of the Grodzka street, the second one is the change of traffic organisation scheme on the first ring road. First solution, is based on the reduction of unauthorised vehicle entrance and parking on the Grodzka street, between crossings with św. Idziego and Poselska streets. Evaluation of this solution was based on the analysis if the limited car access affected profits of businesses operating in this area. The value of taxes paid by entrepreneurs operating in Grodzka street before and after the change were compared. The second solution was to redevelop first ring road along the streets: Podwale, Straszewskiego and Basztowa, together with the change of traffic organisation scheme. One-way traffic for cars, counter-clockwise has been introduced along this ring and the internal road lane has been transformed to bike lane. In this part of analysis, tram travel times before and after change have been compared. Moreover bicycle travel times have been measured and compared with travel times on existing routes through the Main Market Square and the Planty.
