    In many health space analysis of the relationship between the State of health and the environmental factors that may be in many ways. As a rule, this issue, as in the scientific literature and in the form of various legal acts, is presented in the light of environmental threats to health. Beyond the research nature shot as a factor stimulating health, typically no direct references to health in documents that contain various aspects of nature protection law. In the article it was decided to discuss the health of the legal and administrative context of environmental policy tools and the scale of their impact on the level of awareness of the ecological and health societies. Confirm you can fact complementary perception of the relationship between ecology and health, when in fact a range of environmental health legislation without threads binding health with nature.

    The aim of the article is to present the factors which affect the choice of place of recreation, as well as indicate the preferred forms of physical activity taken up there. The authors also discussed the relationship between distance from open areas and frequency of visits. Moreover, they evaluated current knowledge about the role of the natural environment as a physical recreation space. The research was conducted among a group of 305 physically active individuals (students of the Academy of Physical Education and Sport in Gdańsk), using questionnaires. The respondents defined the role of location in comparison to other motivational factors for a range of physical activities (recreation). They also spoke about their preferred forms of physical activity in the natural environment, compared to the roles of natural and human environments with regard to physical activity. They also provided an answer to the question whether an open area which does not provide respondents with an opportunity to undertake their favoured recreation would remain of interest. The study results demonstrate the unquestionable importance of having access to attractive natural surroundings with respect to physical activity. This allows a relation to be made between leisure in the natural environment and an improvement in the health of the physically active.

    Celem autorów artykułu było wskazanie czynników wpływających na wybór miejsca wypoczynku oraz preferowanych form aktywności fizycznej w przestrzeni przyrodniczej. Scharakteryzowano także związki między odległością miejsca zamieszkania od terenów zieleni a częstotliwością ich odwiedzania. Ponadto oceniono stan wiedzy na temat roli środowiska przyrodniczego jako miejsca rekreacji ruchowej. Badania zrealizowano w grupie 305 młodych osób aktywnych fizycznie (studentów AWFiS w Gdańsku) przy zastosowaniu techniki ankietowej. Wyniki badań dowodzą niepodważalnego znaczenia dostępności do atrakcyjnych przyrodniczo terenów w odniesieniu do podejmowania aktywności fizycznej, co pozwala wiązać zaplecze rekreacyjne w postaci środowiska przyrodniczego ze wzmacnianiem zdrowia osób aktywnych fizycznie.

    Praca dotyczy istotnego problemu postaw młodzieży wobec turystyki i rekreacji. Materiał badawczy stanowiła grupa 220 chłopców i dziewcząt z 4 szkół województwa pomorskiego. Cel pracy realizowano przy zastosowaniu metody sondażu diagnostycznego w formie ankiety. Wyniki badań wykazały, że postawy te w grupie młodzieży szkolnej są pozytywne na poziomie 2,82 w skali od 0 do 4. Ich najważniejsze determinanty to poziom dziennej aktywności fizycznej oraz płeć. Pozostałe uwarunkowania okazały się nieistotne statystycznie, a zaliczono do nich wykształcenie rodziców, status ekonomiczny rodziny oraz miejsce zamieszkania. Wyniki są częściowo zbieżne z dotychczasowym stanem wiedzy na temat społecznych uwarunkowań postaw wobec kultury fizycznej.
    The paper refers essential problem concerning youth attitudes to tourism and recreation. Research group were 220 boys and girls from four elementary schools of Pomeranian province. Aim of the paper was executed by diagnostic survey in form of questionnaire among a selected group of people. Results of the investigations have shown that attitudes are positive on the level 2,82 in scale between 0 and 4. The most important conditions of the attitudes are level of daily physical activity and the gender. Another factors have not statistical significance, for example parental education, economical status and place of residence. Results are partially coincided with current empirical knowledge about social conditions of attitudes to physical culture.

    Popularność turystyki miejskiej jest kojarzona z najważniejszymi atrakcjami turystycznymi zespołów miejskich, wśród których prym wiodą kulturowe zdobycze cywilizacji w postaci zabytków czy dziedzictwa niematerialnego. Czynniki te decydują o natężeniu ruchu turystycznego, szczególnie w miastach pozbawionych znaczących atutów przyrodniczo-krajobrazowych. Celem artykułu jest określenie atrakcyjności najpopularniejszych turystycznie polskich ośrodków miejskich w świetle ich charakterystyki ekologicznej, za główne elementy której uznano wielkość terenów zielonych w stosunku do całkowitej powierzchni miasta i zanieczyszczenia powietrza. Interesującym spostrzeżeniem badawczym jest to, że w wielu przypadkach analizowane elementy stanu ekologicznego nie korespondują z subiektywnie ocenianą atrakcyjnością turystyczną miast. Podróżujący, wybierając konkretne miasto jako obszar penetracji turystycznej, w niewielkim stopniu kierują się jego warunkami ekologicznymi. Ma to miejsce jedynie wtedy, gdy środowisko przyrodnicze staje się dodatkowym elementem planów wycieczek. Rzadko natomiast pobyt turystyczny bywa oceniany przez pryzmat potencjalnych zagrożeń zdrowotnych.

    Safeguarding the functioning of local and international tourism is one of the most important social challenges. Mastering its principles is a prerequisite for success in the fulfilment of such human needs as relaxation, wellbeing and exploration of the world. The effectiveness of any steps to limit the risk and its consequences in tourism stems from multiannual observation of social phenomena, but it is also dependent on the level of theoretical preparation to take practical action for increased security at every stage of the journey. The aim of this article is to explore the idea of developing skills in securing safety in travel as an additional educational need of school children and young people. The article recommends supplementing the school curriculum at the primary and secondary school level in order to help create a profile of a student able to secure broadly understood safety for himself and for others.

    Introduction. In addition to knowledge and aptitude, practical skills are necessary to competently pursue every profession. For students, teaching practice is the first opportunity to confront knowledge and skills acquired at university with school reality. The goal of this study was the self-esteem of didactic and educational skills among full-time and extramural Physical Education students of Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz participating in teaching practice as well as the comparison of their self-esteem with the assessment of teachers − placement supervisors. Material and Methods. A total of 625 Physical Education students of Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz and the same number of placement supervisors were involved in the study. The diagnostic survey method was carried out to collect the data. The questionnaire technique was used. Results. Based on the conducted research, the following conclusions were formulated: the majority of full-time and extramural students assessed their didactic and educational skills as good or very good, both full-time and extramural students were very well prepared for teaching practice in Physical Education, and the assessments of teaching practice supervisors, in principle, were higher than the self-esteem expressed by student teachers (p = 0.0000 for the Z test).

    The Lake Qarun (Faiyum Oasis, northern Egypt) is a relic of the much larger Holocene lake. Past lake levels and extensions were reconstructed, based on setting of archaeological sites scattered along northern paleoshores of the ancient lake. However, geoarcheological works did not yield enough data to establish continuous environmental history of the lake. A deep drilling FA-1 on the southeastern shore of the lake, performed in 2014, supplied with a core, 26 m long that is the one of the longest lake sediment cores in northeastern Africa. The basal section of the core consisted of thin-laminated diatom marly deposits, underlain at the Late Pleistocene/Holocene boundary by coarse-grained sands. The sediment lamine were quite well developed, especially in the lower part of the core. Preliminary results indicated annually deposited sediment sequence with seasonality signals provided by microlamine of diatoms, calcite, organic matter and clastic material. Early Holocene varved sediments from the Faiyum Oasis supplied with exceptional paleoenvironmental data for northeastern Africa, which enriched a record from previous logs drilled at the southwestern margin of the Qarun Lake.
