Opis:: The soldiers (Polish and Lithuanian) had deputed their legations to the seym in the March of 1652 to ask for payment of overdue pay. The president of parliamentarians, Andrzej Maksymilian Fredro, had given two times the responses to the delegates. These speeches are the example of „high-level” style, rich in the applications of rhetorical devices, which provided for dishonest persuassion. This high artistry had served for making the empty promises to soldiers.

Opis:: One of the argumentation tools used in Polish parliament speeches from 1556 to 1564 were maxims and proverbs. They were used willingly by more than half of the speakers which included senators (secular and ecclesiastical) as well as by gentry representatives. It was also proper for the monarch. Thе subjects of the proverbs concerned politics, praxis and sociology. Frequent use of proverbs during parliamentary debates demonstrates the high rank of this form of expression in sixteenth century Poland.

Opis:: Parliamentary speeches of the second half of XVIIth century are the the place of inner differentiation in a statement’s style. Besides of the formal style there are some orations, which were created in just forming „average” style and looked almost like a colloquial language. Castellan’s of Poznań, Krzysztof Grzymułtowski’s speeches are the excellent base for studies with this differentiation. The speech in the seym in 1662 is the example of „high-level” style, rich in the applications of rhetorical devices. This kind of style had ussually appeared, when matters seemed hard to the speakers, and it was this case.
