Opis:
Due to the lack of history of insects production for food and feed purposes in Europe, food and feed safety issues, food and feed law requirements, are a new challenge for policy, producers and consumers. Producers of insects for feed and food must ensure compliance with the standards established for other types of production by introducing, documenting, implementing and maintaining continuous food and feed safety management procedures. Before placing the product on the market, it must be preceded by a risk assessment aimed at identifying and controlling hazards that could adversely affect the safety of insect products in the production chain. The requirements of EU law apply to all insect producers who rearing, processing, handling, or distributing insects in the food and feed chain. In this article major issues of these aspects were presented.

Opis:
The use of natural and organic fertilizers is increasing, as it makes it possible to use a significant amount of products from the rendering sector and the environment of livestock farming. This translates into the possibility of maintaining the appropriate biological, physical and chemical properties of the soil, and thus directly affects the state of the natural environment, as well as the safety of production of plant origin food (e.g. cereals, vegetables, fruit) and animal origin food, through feed. The threats from the above-mentioned sources should be properly identified, monitored and, after exceeding the critical values due to the achieved risk level, minimized. Many risk factors in this area are already identified and the relevant requirements are laid down in national and European Community law (e.g. on heavy metals, pathogens). An increasing issue is having comprehensive risk assessments of the potential presence of antimicrobial substances and microbial contamination in animal by-products, organic fertilizers, soil improvers and natural fertilizers. Pilot studies in this field were undertaken at the Department of Hygiene of Animal Feedingstuffs of the National Veterinary Research Institute in Puławy.

The sampling stage is an important element in ensuring high reliability of laboratory test results. In particular, it must be ensured that the laboratory sample sent for testing reflects the whole batch of feed with its characteristics. With this in mind, numerous legal requirements and international norms arose, which were presented in a synthetic way in the paper. Knowledge of these principles is a must for those involved in the control of feed safety and quality, and should be further improved.

Opis:
The aim of the article is to propose a new approach to one of the parameters of the Internet Utility Test of the University Library Service research – the level of completeness and the availability of information on Internet resources useful for scientific and didactic work; evaluation of existing methods of researching the usefulness of the Web services of libraries. It has been suggested to extend the meaning of the term “useful” with the attribute – solving the problem of ignorance of a user who does not know the specific tools and resources and does not know about them, but thanks to library service he or she should reach them due to their needs. Previously used methods of usability testing of library Web sites do not allow effectively solve the problem what finally comes to the fact that the examined user is not able to speak about what the service does not contain, and what it should provide. Experts’ assessments are also prone to the issue of not knowing the digital part of the information infrastructure by themselves. In response to the identified weaknesses in the usability testing methods of library services, the author proposed a new approach. The change consists in the development of a precise and detailed model of digital information infrastructure, which would also be a set of guidelines for the developers of university library services, as well as a set of research criteria to which both users and experts would refer.
Celem artykułu jest zaproponowanie nowego podejścia do jednego z parametrów badania użyteczności internetowego serwisu biblioteki wyższej uczelni – kompletności i aktualności udostępnianych informacji o przydatnych do pracy naukowej i dydaktycznej składnikach cyfrowej infrastruktury informacyjnej oraz ocena dotychczas stosowanych metod badania użyteczności tychże serwisów z punktu widzenia roli wspomnianej grupy bibliotek w dobie Internetu. Zaproponowano rozszerzenie znaczenia pojęcia „użyteczny” o atrybut rozwiązujący problem niewiedzy użytkownika, który nie zna określonych narzędzi i zasobów, nie wie o ich istnieniu, ale dzięki bibliotecznemu serwisowi powinien do nich dotrzeć ze względu na swoje potrzeby. Dotychczas stosowane metody badania użyteczności serwisów WWW bibliotek nie pozwalają skutecznie rozwiązać problemu, który sprowadza się do tego, że badany użytkownik nie jest w stanie wypowiadać się o tym, czego serwis nie zawiera, a co powinien mu dostarczyć. Także oceny ekspertów podatne są na problem nieznajomości części cyfrowej infrastruktury informacyjnej przez nich samych. W odpowiedzi na stwierdzone ułomności wykorzystywanych metod badania użyteczności serwisów bibliotek autor zaproponował nowe podejście. Zmiana polega na opracowaniu precyzyjnego i szczegółowego modelu cyfrowej infrastruktury informacyjnej, który byłby jednocześnie zbiorem wytycznych dla twórców serwisów bibliotek uczelnianych, jak i zbiorem kryteriów badawczych, do których odnosiliby się zarówno badani użytkownicy, jak i eksperci.

The author has analyzed these digital collections, created and made available online via libraries, archives and a variety of institutions and organizations to promote knowledge of history, which can be classified as sources for the study of recent Polish history. He also determined that most research-friendly for researchers are resources created using software called dLibra. What is more, he showed that the special interest of web developers archives and libraries arouse regional materials, newspapers, collections of photos and videos of witnesses of the history and materials related to the history of the opposition to the communist regime, the movement of “Solidarity” and the fate of Poles in exile, in particular those persecuted in the East.

The article contains a bibliometric analysis conducted on the basis of bibliographic data from the years 1996–2022, extracted from the Scopus database (May 2022). The method used involved steps beyond the traditional counting of publications and citations as well as drawing conclusions based on reading the content of academic papers. Complete biographic datasets were used for advanced analyses performed in the program CiteSpace. The state of research into digital culture may be described as follows: (1) it constitutes a new area of research that has seen particularly intensive development for the last 15 years or so; (2) systematic research is conducted by a small set of researchers; (3) they publish the findings of their research in a small selection of journals (around a dozen) and in books; (4) books contribute most to the development of such research (mainly around a dozen of the most popular ones); (5) the subject-matter of this research embraces mainly such issues as: copyright law, critical digital studies, digital art, network society, digital media, digital modernity, information technology, digitalisation, influencers, the internet era, memes, new media, social media, social networks, video games, and visual culture.
Artykuł zawiera analizę bibliometryczną przeprowadzoną na podstawie danych bibliograficznych z lat 1996–2022 wydobytych z bazy Scopus (maj 2022). Zastosowana metoda wykracza poza tradycyjne liczenie publikacji i cytowań oraz wyciąganie wniosków na podstawie lektury treści artykułów naukowych. Kompletne zbiory danych bibliograficznych zostały wykorzystane do zaawansowanych analiz przeprowadzonych w programie CiteSpace. Stan badań kultury cyfrowej można scharakteryzować następująco: (1) jest to nowy obszar badawczy, który rozwija się intensywniej od około 15 lat; (2) systematyczne badania prowadzone są przez niewielką grupę badaczy; (3) publikują oni wyniki swoich badań w niewielkiej grupie czasopism (jest ich kilkanaście) oraz w książkach; (4) największy wpływ na rozwój badań mają książki (głównie kilkanaście najpopularniejszych); (5) przedmiot badań obejmuje głównie takie zagadnienia jak: prawo autorskie, krytyczne studia cyfrowe, sztuka cyfrowa, społeczeństwo cyfrowe, media cyfrowe, cyfrowa nowoczesność, technologia informacyjna, digitalizacja, influencer, era internetu, memy, nowe media, media społecznościowe, sieci społecznościowe, gry wideo, kultura wizualna.

The purpose of this article is to find the answers to the question whether the Internet is an effective educational space? In particular, does it offer the tools and resources which enable to achieve educational purposes desired by modern society and simultaneously minimize the negative effects of "immersion in the Web”, which are commonly described? The text is based on a qualitative research in which the author has reviewed, tested and evaluated various websites and online tools. Several groups which meet the abovementioned criteria have been distinguished. The usefulness of educational resources has been confirmed by the results of the work of students who had regularly been receiving tasks that required specific use of these resources. The author concluded that the allegations that the educational use of the Internet is harmful are mainly due to the study only of the unprofessional and inconsiderate use of net resources that skips the learning outcomes based on an active and creative use of the wealth of the Internet.
