Cel pracy: Podjęte badania miały na celu określić zmiany ontogenetyczne dorosłych kobiet i mężczyzn ciśnienia krwi i tętna w populacji o niskim statusie społeczno-ekonomicznym. Materiał i metody: W pracy wykorzystano wyniki badań 142 kobiet i 97 mężczyzn, mieszkańców południowej Lubelszczyzny. Badanych podzielono na grupy wiekowe, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50 oraz 51-60 lat. Wykonano następujące pomiary: ciśnienia tętniczego krwi oraz tętna. Wyniki poddano analizie statystycznej, obliczono wartości średnie i odchylenia standardowe dla każdej z grup wiekowych oraz wskaźnik dymorfizmu (WD). Wyniki i wnioski: Uzyskane wyniki wskazują na niepokojące zmiany nadciśnieniowe u mężczyzn w całym badanym okresie ontogenezy. U kobiet zaobserwowano bardziej regularny przyrost ciśnienia tętniczego z wiekiem; zmiany chorobowe pojawiają się dopiero w najstarszej z grup wiekowych. Nie stwierdzono nietypowych zmian w częstości skurczów serca. Zróżnicowanie międzypłciowe w badanej populacji względem ciśnienia tętniczego malało z wiekiem badanych.
Aim of work: The aim of this experiment was to determine ontogenetic changes of adult women's and men's blood pressure and heart rate within the population with low SES. Material and methods: our work made use of examination results of 142 women and 97 men ― habitants of southern Lublin Voivodeship. The examined were divided into 3 age group: 21-30, 31-40, 41-50 and 51-60. We measured pressure and heart rate. Our results were subject to the statistic analysis, average values and those of the standard deviation were calculated for all the age groups, as well as the dimorphism index. Results and conclusion: the results of the experiment indicate worrying changes in blood pressure in men independently of the age group. We recorded a more regular increase in women's blood pressure and pathological changes appear only in the oldest age group. Non-standard changes in hearth rate were not found. WD index of blood pressure diminished along with age of the examined.

Opis:
The reflection on the theme of formation to valuing in the context of pluralism entails several important areas of analysis. First of all, the social and cultural dimension of the process of formation has been stressed. This implies both a necessity to properly choose values in formation and to take into account social consequences of the strategies how to teach them. The concepts of formation and values have been explained here, and particular principles according to which select values in the process of formation have been described. The formative situation under the conditions of the pluralism of values has been characterized in particular detail, including requirements and approved valuing attitudes in this context. A complex context of pluralism calls for adequate strategies of formation to valuing, among which we find: strategy of dissonance, strategy of testimony and strategy of stimulation. The strategies under consideration are directed towards a desirable formative effect, such as: greater sensitivity of the disciple to values, a coherent order of the selected values, coherence between the selected system of values and the realized attitude.

Opis:
The paper points to one of the basic categories in scientific pedagogy which is „educatability.” It played an important role in the origins of pedagogy as a discipline of science and was combined with the acceptance in the point of departure, as a special hypothesis, that there are possibilities to form man. Assuming this possibility, J.F. Herbart (1776-1841), the father of scientific pedagogy, worked out his concepts of formation and general pedagogy. According to him, „educatability” (Die Bildsamkeit) is the basic category of pedagogy (Algemeine Paedagogik, 1806). As the contemporary pedagogical thought seeks more and more often an answer to the question about the sense and meaning of education, stumbling at the same time on the byways of its utopian and idealistic approaches, the category of „educatability” may become one of the ways to make the pedagogical practice and theory real and sensible. Like over two hundred years ago this category has become the ground upon which to build the scientific reflection in pedagogy. In the same manner this paper suggests that it may turn out very helpful to bring it back and remind. It can help us explain the contemporary problems connected especially with the discovery of the sense and possibility to educate man. The paper concentrates first on the discussion around the problem of educatability over the history of human thought. Listing its main representatives and its stages (from the ancient until the modern times), it exposes two standpoints characteristic of that „debate about the educatability of man”: „pedagogical optimism” and „pedagogical pessimism.” It also points to the contemporary solutions of that problem in „pedagogical realism” that characterizes, among other things, the Christian approach to the issue of man's educatability. Following the line of the latter standpoint, that paper discusses in detail the structure of the process of man's educatability, pointing to the basic elements and factors of the process of the person's educatability. The approach to „educatability” as a category giving sense to education and pedagogy is listed among the basic problems of the research of general pedagogy. Here we ask not only about the essence of education and its specific character, but also about the possibility and conditions of the process of education and about its sense and meaning (its noetic dimension).

Let \(ba(\Sigma)\) be the complex vector lattice of bounded finitely additive measures \(\mu:\Sigma\rightarrow\mathbb{C}\). We study locally solid topologies on \(ba(\Sigma)\). Let X be a completely regular Hausdorff space, E and F be Banach spaces. Let $C_b(X,E)$ be the space of all E-valued bounded continuous functions on X, equipped with the strict topology β. We study topological properties of the space $L_{β}(C_{b}(X,E),F)$ of all $(β,||·||_{F})$-continuous linear operators from $C_{b}(X,E)$ to F, equipped with the topology $τ_{s}$ of simple convergence. If X is a locally compact paracompact space (resp. a P-space), we characterize $τ_{s}$-compact subsets of $L_{β}(C_{b}(X,E),F)$ in terms of properties of the corresponding sets of the representing operator-valued Borel measures. It is shown that the space $(L_{β}(C_{b}(X,E),F),τ_{s})$ is sequentially complete if X is a locally compact paracompact space.

Opis:
The internationalization of Polish companies via equity entry modes is still a phenomenon limited in scope, especially when compared to that occurring in developed countries, however showing a clear upward trend. Within this research framework the following paper presents the results of a qualitative study devoted to the geographical patterns of foreign expansion of Polish companies. The theoretical analysis, based on the eclectic (OLI) paradigm of international production, the internationalization process model and the Strategy Tripod, is focused simultaneously on the determinants of location choice related to host country and firm characteristics. Case study results indicate that host country choice is related to the investment motives. Moreover, the role of location choice criteria depends on the host country level of development.
