    Opis:
    Laboratory results of an initial study on CO2 removal from gas mixture by means of the air-sparged hydrocyclone (ASH) technology are reported. The CO2 absorption rate into sodium hydroxide aqueous solution was studied on a laboratory and pilot scale. The air flow rate was 900 dm³/min and the alkaline solution flow rate was 15 dm³/min in the case of pilot scale. The influence of CO2 concentration, pH of the liquid phase, the gas flow rate, and the alkaline solution flow rate on the efficiency of the process was investigated. An increase in the alkaline concentration significantly enhanced the CO2 absorption. A very low distribution of bubble sizes enhanced the carbon dioxide absorption, too.

    Two positron techniques have been applied to study dynamics of oxygen precipitation in Czochralski-grown silicon, annealed under high (up to 1.4 GPa) pressure. Lifetime measurements were performed with 180 ps resolution; Doppler broadening with a variable-energy slow-positron beam. Different thermal treatings rise the mean lifetime of positrons from 222 ps in as-grown samples up to 227 ps. In samples with a high (up to 85%) amount of oxygen precipitated, an intermediate (550-800 ps) lifetime is observed.

    The aim of the present paper is to study the possibility of application of the X-ray quasi-forbidden reflection method to the composition determination of the sphalerite-type Cd$\text{}_{1-x}$M$\text{}_{x}$Te = Mg, Zn, Mn) single crystals. The method is based on the property of quasi-forbidden reflections that their integral intensity is very sensitive to composition and weakly sensitive to crystal lattice defects. An example of application for a Cd$\text{}_{1-x}$Mn$\text{}_{x}$Te single crystal is presented.

    The structural perfection of Czochralski grown silicon crystals annealed at 1580-1620 K under hydrostatic pressure up to 10$\text{}^{9}$ Pa was investigated by X-ray diffractometry and topography supplemented by the method of absorption of infrared rays. Such treatment suppresses dissolution of oxygen-related defects. From the static Debye-Waller factor dependence on the reflection order it was concluded that large clusters or dislocation loops are the dominant type of defects for most of the samples.

    A child at the moment of birth has certain inborn patterns allowing it to spontaneously respond to the surrounding world and yet unknown sensations - called reflex. The most significant for speech development are reflexes of the orofacial area. The well-functioning reflexes allow the child to eat properly. The movements involved in alimentary action are reflected in the articulation of the sounds. The absence of orofacial area reflexes or their impaired integration inhibits the child’s normal speech development. It impairs motor efficiency of the articulation organs, and consequently leads to incorrect articualtion of sounds. The aim of this paper is to present the impact of orofacial reflexes on the development of alimentary functions and the development of the child's speech. The knowledge of the aforementioned subject plays a significant role in logopaedic prevention / early logopaedic intervention.
