Opis:
Numerous tracks and trackways are preserved in the a cross−strata of the Lower Jurassic Navajo Sandstone of northern Arizona and southern Utah, USA. Tracks and trackways of small theropod dinosaurs are particularly abundant within one 10−m−thick interval. This paper describes a crouching trace from a theropod dinosaur that shows impressions of all four limbs, the ischial callosity, the tail, and tracks leading to and away from the crouching site, and revises the interpretation of a well preserved trackway hitherto referred to the synapsid ichnogenus Brasilichnium and here considered to be from a sauropodomorph dinosaur. It is named Navahopus coyoteensisisp. nov. on the basis of morphological differences from the type ichnospecies N. falcipollex. The ichnofamily Navahopodidae is revised to include Tetrasauropous unguiferus, Navahopus falcipollex, and N. coyoteensis.

Opis:
Eleven new tracks from the Upper Jurassic of Portugal are described and attributed to the stegosaurian ichnogenus Deltapodus. One track exhibits exceptionally well−preserved impressions of skin on the plantar surface, showing the stegosaur foot to be covered by closely spaced skin tubercles of ca. 6 mm in size. The Deltapodus specimens from the Aalenian of England represent the oldest occurrence of stegosaurs and imply an earlier cladogenesis than is recognized in the body fossil record.

Opis:
The newly discovered White Mesa tracksite in the Burro Canyon Formation represents a snapshot of a diverse, Lower Cretaceous dinosaur fauna from south-eastern Utah. The tracks were found at a construction site where the sandstone had been bulldozed and broken up. All tracks were found as deep, well-preserved natural casts on the underside of the sandstone slabs. Individual theropod tracks are 19–57 cm in length; one peculiar track shows evidence of a possible pathological swelling in the middle of digit III and an apparently didactyl track is tentatively assigned to a dromaeosaurid. Individual sauropod tracks are found with pes lengths of 36–72 cm, and interestingly, three distinct shapes of manus tracks, ranging from wide banana shaped to rounded and hoof-like. Ornithopods are represented with individual tracks 18–37 cm in length; a sin gle track can possibly be attributed to the thyreophoran ichnogenus Deltapodus. Zircon U-Pb dating places the track-bearing layer in the Barremian, contemporary to the lower Yellow Cat Member of the Cedar Mountain Formation, which has a similar faunal composition based on both tracks and body fossils. This new track-fauna demonstrates the existence of a diverse dinosaurian assemblage in the lower part of the Burro Canyon Formation, which hitherto is not known to yield skeletalre mains.

Opis:
In 2005, numerous vertebrate tracks were discovered in carbonate aeolianites in and around the town of Paphos, in the south western part of Cyprus. The main track-bearing exposure is located in a protected archaeological site near the Agia Solomoni Church in side the city of Paphos, where cross-sec tions through tracks are abundant in vertical exposures of the aeolianite along Apostolou Pavlou Avenue. Some exposures show as many as 10 tracks per m2 of vertical exposure. Several additional tracks were found in the extensive subterranean tomb complex, the Tombs of the Kings, just outside Paphos. The aeolian deposit was formed when westerly to southwesterly windsdrove fine- to medium-grained calcareous sand onshore from the beach. This generated low coastal dunes, represented by 1–2-m-thick, cross-bedded sets made up of grainflow and wind-ripple strata, and sand sheets composed entirely of wind-ripple strata. The sediment does not yet have an absolute date, but is considered to be of Late Pleistocene to Early Holocene age, as are many other coastal aeolianites in the Mediterranean area. The Late Pleistocene endemic fauna in Cyprus was limited to the dwarf hippopotamus Phanourios minor Desmarest, 1822, the dwarf elephant Elephas cypriotes Bate, 1902, a small carnivore Genetta plesictoides Bate, 1903, and (possibly) humans. The exposed tracks are 5–15 cm in diameter, with a few tracks up to 23 cm in size. This range of size correlates well with the estimated foot size of dwarf hippopotami and dwarf elephants. This low-diversity, endemic is land fauna provides a unique opportunity to correlate tracks with trackmakers.

Opis:
The article is a result of the collaboration between Polish and Czech scientists who explore the issues of applying the resources from e-learning environment by academic teachers. The presented studies were conducted in 2015-2016 within the IRNet project – International research network for study and development of new tools and methods for advanced pedagogical science in the field of ICT instruments, e-learning and intercultural competences in Poland (University of Silesia in Katowice, Faculty of Ethnology and Educational Science in Cieszyn) and the Czech Republic (University of Ostrava, Pedagogical Faculty). The undertaken research was aimed at learning the opinions of academic teachers on their preparation for distance classes and for the stimulation of students’ learning process. In the studies, the constructivist perspective was applied, which highlighted (in the educational process) the learner’s activity resulting in the subject builds their educational reality. What was referred to due to the comparative nature of the research was Harold J. Noah’s model of comparing the quality of University education. The cases of Poland and the Czech Republic were discussed.
