Przedsiębiorstwo może skutecznie i w sposób kreatywny edukować swych konsumentów w zakresie podejmowanych w tym temacie działań.
    Today, the companies wishing to remain competitive in the market are required to make their actions not only consistent with the expectations of consumers. What is becoming increasingly important is the concern for the steadily deteriorating ecosystem. One of the concepts regarding this aspect is the paradigm of sustainable development. It entails specific terms and conditions for its implementation by a company. One of the advantages of such a practice is the increase of confidence and attractiveness of a company to the potential recipient. However, in order to consciously contribute to pro-ecological behaviours it is necessary to possess knowledge about basic concepts in the field of sustainable development. The essence of the topic presented in this study is the importance of inclusion in the strategy of the sustainable development of education in this area. The aim of the presented content is to realize the significance of raising awareness about the importance of education, so that the company could effectively and creatively educate its consumers in the field undertaken in this topic. The effect will be to raise awareness and stimulate creative activities undertaken by a company.

    Due to the complexity of planning processes, as well as the desire to satisfy stakeholders and entities involved in spatial development and planning procedures, there is a clear need to create a platform for managing spatial development planning information. The aim of this paper is to present a project and pilot version of an urban platform (spatial planning geoportal), which is intended to be a solution used for the creation, analysis, and presentation of spatial data related to spatial planning. To implement the concept of the geoportal, one of the models used in systems and software engineering known as incremental execution was used, together with the language for documenting phases of an IT project – the Unified Modeling Language (UML). The concept includes a formal description of the geoportal functionalities using UML as well as the perspective of solution users and stakeholders. This paper also shows the functionality of the pilot version of the geoportal, which refers to spatial planning at the local level and local spatial development. The spatial planning geoportal presented in this paper adheres to the reform of spatial planning and is intended to help in conducting spatial policy, both at the local and central level. Establishment of the spatial planning geoportal may contribute to increasing the efficiency and quality of the spatial planning system in Poland, as well as other areas such as management of local government units, local and regional transport, and regional planning.

    In this paper we present some generalization of the Cox-Ross-Rubinstein (CRR) option pricing model. We assume that two parameters of the model (an interest rate of a bank account and a volatility of the logarithm of the stock price’s changes) are different in each of two analyzed periods of time.

    ObjectivesThe Chalder Fatigue Questionnaire (CFQ) was developed to measure fatigue in 2 dimensions: physical and mental. The aim of the study was to translate, adapt and evaluate the psychometric properties of the Polish version of the CFQ (CFQ-PL).Material and MethodsThe process of translation was conducted using a forward and backward translation procedure. After cultural adaptation, the psychometric properties of the CFQ-PL were evaluated. Participants of the study were healthy individuals: medical students (N = 304) and pregnant women (pregnancy without complications, N = 925). The reliability and validity were estimated using fatigue numerical rating scales, the Beck Depression Inventory and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory. To examine the factor structure of the CFQ-PL, a confirmatory factor analysis was conducted.ResultsThe internal consistency of the CFQ-PL was similar to the original version (Cronbach’s α 0.85–0.91). Statistically significant correlations between the CFQ-PL and the current fatigue level, average fatigue and the sleepiness level (measured using numerical rating scales), as well as the intensity of depression and anxiety symptoms, all confirming the validity of the adapted scale. Using a confirmatory factor analysis, it was determined that a 1-factor model did not fit the data well. A 2-factor model with a correlation between mental and physical factors fitted better than the 1-factor model, yet fit indices revealed a poor fit. Using a 2-factor model with added covariance between items – 1 (problems with fatigue), 2 (resting more), 9 (slips of the tongue), 10 (finding the correct word) – resulted in acceptable fit indices in both groups of participants.ConclusionsAfter the process of translation, adaptation and validation of the CFQ-PL, it is now available for use under Polish conditions. This study provided evidence for structural validity of the 2-factor model of the 11-item version.

    W zakresie sporządzania miejscowego planu zagospodarowania przestrzennego (mpzp) jednym z tematów, który do tej pory nie doczekał się systemowych rozwiązań uregulowanych przepisami wykonawczymi jest cyfryzacja opracowania w powiązaniu ze standaryzacją i harmonizacją danych planistycznych na potrzeby infrastruktury informacji przestrzennej. Niniejsza publikacja stanowi głos w dyskusji dotyczącej potrzeby podjęcia działań zmierzających do pilnego wprowadzenia jednolitych w skali kraju założeń do realizacji i publikacji miejscowych planów zagospodarowania przestrzennego w postaci wektorowej. Celem głównym opracowania jest przedstawienie wybranych aspektów tworzenia numerycznych opracowań, które mogłyby być wstępem do wypracowania wytycznych dla wykonawców planów miejscowych. Celem szczegółowym jest analiza zmian w ustawie o planowaniu i zagospodarowaniu przestrzennym dotyczących zakresu i postaci danych przestrzennych planów miejscowych.
    In the field of elaboration of a local plan, one of the topics that has not yet been solved by systemic solutions regulated by implementing rules is the digitization of the plan in conjunction with the standardization and harmonization of planning data for spatial data infrastructure. The paper is a voice in the discussion on the need to take action to urgently introduce assumptions for the implementation and publication of local spatial plans in a vector form. The main objective of the paper is to present the selected aspects of numerical spatial plans that could be a base for developing of guidelines for contractors for local plans. The detailed objective is the analysis is of the amendments to the act spatial planning concerning the scope and form of spatial data of local plans.

    BACKGROUND: The objective of the paper was the self-assessment of satisfaction performed by the residents of social care homes in various European countries and analysis of the correlation of the level of satisfaction with the quality of life and chosen independent variables. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The study was carried out among 126 residents of nursing homes in Norway, England, Belgium, Holland, the Czech Republic and Poland, aged on average 79.3 years. The authors of the study used a survey questionnaire of their own authorship consisting of 35 questions including 6 demographic ones and 29 questions related to factors including satisfaction and quality of life. The conducted research was a pilot study. RESULTS: The majority of the residents was satisfied with their stay at the nursing home. The level of their satisfaction proved to be different depending on the location of the nursing home. The average level of self-assessment of the quality of life was 4.9 (on a scale of 1–6). It was demonstrated that the level of satisfaction correlated with the quality of life, age, the duration of the stay and residing with a spouse. CONCLUSIONS: The level of satisfaction of the residents of nursing homes in selected European countries is varied and demonstrates positive variation with the quality of life. The level of satisfaction of the residents of social care homes in certain European countries demonstrates a positive correlation with age, the duration of the stay and residing with a spouse. The comparative analysis of satisfaction and the quality of life of nursing home residents in various European countries requires taking into consideration cultural distinctiveness.
    WSTĘP: Celem pracy była samoocena satysfakcji osób mieszkających w domach opieki w różnych krajach europejskich oraz analiza korelacji poziomu satysfakcji z jakością życia i wybranymi zmiennymi niezależnymi. MATERIAŁ I METODY: Badanie pilotażowe przeprowadzono z udziałem 126 osób zamieszkałych w domach opieki w Norwegii, Anglii, Belgii, Holandii, Czechach i Polsce. Średnia wieku badanych wynosiła 79,3 roku. Autorzy zastosowali kwestionariusz ankiety własnego autorstwa obejmujący 35 pytań, w tym 6 pytań demograficznych i 29 związanych z czynnikami dotyczącymi satysfakcji i jakości życia. WYNIKI: Większość mieszkańców była zadowolona z pobytu w domu opieki. Poziom ich satysfakcji okazał się różny, w zależności od kraju prowadzenia badań. Średni poziom samooceny jakości życia wyniósł 4,9 (w skali 1–6). Wykazano, że poziom satysfakcji korelował z jakością życia, wiekiem, czasem trwania pobytu w domu opieki i mieszkaniem z małżonkiem. WNIOSKI: Poziom zadowolenia mieszkańców domów opieki w wybranych krajach europejskich jest zróżnicowany i wykazuje pozytywną zmienność z jakością życia. Poziom zadowolenia mieszkańców domów opieki w niektórych krajach europejskich wykazuje pozytywną korelację z wiekiem, czasem trwania pobytu i zamieszkiwaniem z małżonkiem. Analiza porównawcza satysfakcji i jakości życia mieszkańców domów opieki społecznej w różnych krajach europejskich wymaga uwzględnienia odrębności kulturowej.

    W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań nad tempem wypowiedzi uczniów szkoły specjalnej dotkniętych oligofazją o podłożu niepełnosprawności intelektualnej w stopniu lekkim odniesionych do grupy kontrolnej – rówieśników niedotkniętych żadnymi zaburzeniami rozwojowymi. Analizy wypowiedzi uczniów objęły wybrane ilościowe i jakościowe aspekty mowy. Wśród analizowanych parametrów znalazły się: liczba sylab i głosek użytych w 30-sekundowym fragmencie wypowiedzi, liczba pauz wraz z ich charakterystyką, a także procentowy udział pauz w wypowiedzi. Uzyskany dzięki zastosowaniu programu Audacity materiał poddano analizom statystycznym za pomocą testów: Shapiro-Wilka oraz Manna-Whitneya.
    The article presents the results of the research into the pace of speech of the students with oligophasia which results from the mild intellectual disability as compared to their peers with no disabilities. Both quantitative and qualitative aspects of the speech were analysed. The analysed criteria included: the number of syllables and phonemes used in the 30 seconds-long utterances, the number of pauses made and their characteristics, and the percentage of the pauses within the utterance. The material obtained in the research through the usage of Audacity software was subsequently analysed with the use of Shapiro–Wilk test and Mann–Whitney test.

    The article deals with the concept of silence developed by Marcel Marceau, one of the founders of contemporary mime. An analysis of the concept of silence is proposed, starting from a broader research, linguistic and philosophical perspective, encompassing the ideas of Martin Heidegger, Maurice Merlau-Ponty, Józef Tischner and Martin Buber, which aims at an interpretation of Marceau’s theatrical concept, which is presented in his work and statements and contains many elements of philosophical anthropology. For Marceau, the human stands in the center, working in a world where words fail. Mime artist and spectator conduct a distinctive dialogue without using words, thus giving rise to reflections and leading to catharsis. Because the scope of the concept is wide, it has been included in the cognitive framework of the anthropology of silence, proving that Marceau’s concept enriches the debate on the anthropology of silence and opens the perspective for further research on his concept of theater.

The analysed criteria included: the number of syllables and phones used in 30 second-long utterances, the number of pauses made and their characteristics, and the percentage of the pauses within an utterance. The results of the analysis allowed for the study of the speech pace of the children as well as their general pace of speaking. We tested 5 girls and 11 boys, all of the children were intellectually disabled. The average age of the control group was 9 years and 1 month. Both the quantitative and qualitative aspects of the speech were analysed. The obtained data consisted of audio recordings which were subsequently re-played multiple times in order to properly analyse the crucial phenomena occurring within the speech samples. This part of the research made use of the Audacity software (Audacity(R): Free Audio Editor and Recorder [Computer program]. Version 2.1.0 retrieved September 19th 2015 from http://audacity.sourceforge.net/). The material obtained in the research through the usage of Audacity software was subsequently analysed with the use of the Shapiro-Wilk test and the Mann-Whitney test. Estimative qualitative and quantitative analyses showed differences between the groups in all of the parameters which influence the pace of speech. However, the statistical analyses did not confirm any statistically significant differences in the average pace of speech, the ratio and the percentage of pauses within the speech samples, and the average duration of all types of pauses. The formulated hypotheses for the presence of significant diffe rences in the average pace of speech of children with autistic spec trum disorder and the normative group of children have not been confirmed. No significant differences have been noted in the average pace of speech, the ratio and the percentage of pauses within the speech samples, and the average duration of all types of pauses between the two groups.

Mechanizmy te mają zastosowanie również w instytucjach edukacyjnych. Niniejszy artykuł jest teoretyczny, powstał na bazie literatury przedmiotu oraz praktycznego doświadczenia autorów. Celem jest próba określenia specyficznych dla instytucji edukacyjnych cech zaangażowania organizacyjnego i jego znaczenia dla sukcesu instytucji edukacyjnej.
    The success of an organization is determined by people and their unique features: knowledge, skills, talents, openness to changes, innovation and passions. The worker decides how he will fulfill the assumed roles or how much of his cognitive, emotional and physical energy will be devoted to his work. The decision about the worker contribution to work is determined by his organizational commitment. Organizational commitment is perceived in literature as a determinant of high quality and effectiveness of operations, a tool of creation of the image of the organization and the way how it is perceived by its customers. These mechanisms can also be applied to educational institutions. This study has a theoretical character, it is based on the literature and the practical experience of the authors. The aim of the study is to try to determine the specific for educational institutions features of organizational commitment and its importance for the success of an educational institution.

Celem publikacji jest określenie relacji pomiędzy zaangażowaniem organizacyjnym, w jego trzech komponentach, a dzieleniem się wiedzą w kontekście etapu edukacyjnego, na którym pracują nauczyciele. Podstawą funkcjonowania edukacji jest zaangażowanie nauczycieli, którzy zajmując się tworzeniem, dystrybucją i wykorzystaniem własnej wiedzy i idei, stanowią fundament swoich szkół. Publikacja ma charakter teoretyczno-empiryczny. Powstała na podstawie studiów literatury tematu oraz wyników autorskich badań empirycznych przeprowadzonych z zastosowaniem metod ilościowych w grupie 494 nauczycieli pracujących na różnych etapach edukacyjnych. Wyniki badań empirycznych wykazały wpływ etapu edukacyjnego na relację pomiędzy zaangażowaniem organizacyjnym a dzieleniem się wiedzą pośród respondentów. Istotne statystycznie, dodatnie zależności pomiędzy zaangażowaniem normatywnym a wszystkimi wskaźnikami dzielenia się wiedzą stwierdzono w grupie nauczycieli pracujących w starszych klasach szkół podstawowych oraz w szkołach ponadpodstawowych. Zidentyfikowano relację pomiędzy zaangażowaniem organizacyjnym w trzech komponentach: zaangażowania afektywnego, trwania oraz normatywnego a dzieleniem się wiedzą nauczycieli na podstawie moderatora w postaci etapu edukacyjnego.
    Organisational commitment and knowledge sharing enjoy unflagging interest in the modern world. Due to the benefits of a high level of organisational commitment and knowledge sharing, this issue is important for scientific and educational development. The aim of the publication is to determinate the relationship between organisational commitment and knowledge sharing in the teachers' community, in the context of the educational stage at which they work. The basis for the functioning of education involves the commitment of teachers who, by creating, distributing and using their knowledge and ideas, are the foundation of their schools. The publication was based on the results of previous research, conducted in the form of literature studies and empirical research using quantitative methods in a group of 494 teachers working at various stages of education. The results of the empirical research showed the impact of the educational stage on the relationship between organisational commitment and knowledge sharing among the respondents surveyed. Statistically significant positive correlations between normative commitment and all indicators of knowledge sharing were found in the group of teachers working in secondary and post-secondary schools. A relationship was identified between organisational commitment in the following three components: affective, continuance and normative commitment, and teachers' knowledge sharing based on a moderator in the form of an educational stage.

    The basic aim of the research presented in this paper was to check whether the language proficiency level of bilingual children with Polish as one of their languages is also related to the pace of speech, which is the result of two specific parameters i.e. articulation rate and speaking rate. It was assumed that children who use Polish more rarely and mostly at home will display slower speaking and articulation rates when contrasted with children who use Polish both at home and at school on an everyday basis. Participants were thirty-two children who speak Polish as one of two languages, the first research group consisting of sixteen Polish-French students at the age of 8.11 living in Wal-lonia. The second group consisted of sixteen Flemish-Polish students living in Flanders. Here the average age was 9.3 and subjects used Polish much less than their first group coun-terparts. The comparative analysis included the following parameters essential for the de-scription of the rate of speech: 1. basic: average speaking rate (phones/sec., syllables/sec, duration of pauses), average articulation rate (phones/sec., syllables/sec.), average ratio of pauses in speech sample (number and percentage), 2. accessory: average duration of all pauses (sec.), average duration of proper pauses (sec.), average duration of filled pauses (sec.), average duration of semi-filled pauses (sec.). The numerical data from the research was obtained with the use of free Audacity software. The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the two research groups in either the basic or the accessory speech rate parameters. In the Polish-French group the results were comparatively better but still statistically insignificant. It seems that the data obtained will confirm the need for considerable caution in the evalua-tion of the competence of bilingual children with high language skills. Similar to children with imbalanced bilingualism, these children may also, perhaps, require some extra time to deal with certain language tasks.

    The article takes a position on speaking rates in people with intellectual disabilities, where speech tempo is a research category. It presents the findings of research on speech tempo in special school students with moderate and mild intellectual disabilities, which are compared to the results of a control group – nondisabled peers. Students’ utterances were analyzed in terms of selected quantitative and qualitative aspects of speech. They included: the number of sounds used in a 30-second-long speech segment, the number of pauses, and also the percentage share of pauses in an utterance. To test research hypotheses, statistical analyses of the linguistic material collected were made with the use of the Student’s t-test, the non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test, and the Shapiro-Wilk test.
    W artykule ustosunkowano się do zjawiska szybkości mówienia osób niepełnosprawnych intelektualnie, za kategorię badawczą przyjmując tempo wypowiedzi. Przedstawiono wyniki badań tempa wypowiedzi uczniów szkoły specjalnej dotkniętych niepełnosprawnością intelektualną w stopniu umiarkowanym i lekkim odniesionych do wyników grupy kontrolnej – rówieśników niedotkniętych żadnymi zaburzeniami rozwojowymi. Analizy wypowiedzi uczniów objęły wybrane ilościowe i jakościowe aspekty mowy. Wśród analizowanych parametrów znalazły się: liczba głosek użytych w trzydziesto sekundowym fragmencie wypowiedzi, liczba pauz, a także procentowy udział pauz w wypowiedzi. Celem weryfikacji hipotez badawczych uzyskany materiał językowy poddano analizom statystycznym, wykorzystując test t-Studenta, nieparametryczny test U Manna-Whitneya oraz test Shapiro-Wilka.

    The aim of the article was to evaluate the rate of speech of people at an advanced old age and without any demential illnesses when compared to the control group of 9-years-old children without any developmental disorders. Because of the fact that the control group consisted of children, we have also made references to the notion of elderspeak – a phenomenon similar to the baby-talk – but related to the way younger people talk to senior citizens. We tested the rate of speech in 32 subjects: the experimental group comprising 16 healthy people of an advanced old age without any neurodevelopmental illnesses (the average age: 83.1) and the control group, which included 16 children without any developmental disorders (the average age: 9.0) in order to achieve a correlation in terms of the male/female ratio for the comparative analysis. The analysed parameters included: the speaking rate, the articulation rate, the numer of pauses, and the ratio of pauses within the speech samples. The estimative quantitative analysis showed insignificant differences in the parameters that influence the rate of speech in both groups. The statistical analysis also showed that there were no significant differences in the main research parameters – the speaking rate, the articulation rate, the number of pauses, and the ratio of pauses. The research hypotheses regarding the differences in the speech rate of those at an advanced old age and of the children at the age of 9 were negated by the results of the ana lyses. It has been proven that the rate of speech of the elderly who age physiologically does not differ from the rate of speech production by the children.

    This paper presents the results of: 1. measurements of selected parameters determining the rate of utterances, 2. comparative analyses of specific parameters in two study groups: physiologically ageing people, falling into the “old-old” category, and nine-year-old pupils with no developmental or language disorders. When gathering the study material with the use of measurement tools (the Audacity program) and its statistical processing (tests: Shapiro–Wilk, Mann–Whitney, Fisher–Snadecor), the following parameters-indicators allowing the prediction of the speech tempo were taken into consideration and analysed: 1. basic: the average speaking rate (speech sounds, syllables + duration of pauses), the average articulation rate (speech sounds, syllables), the average share of pauses in utterances (number + percentage data); 2. supplementary: the average duration of all pauses, the average duration of proper pauses, the average duration of filled pauses, the average duration of partly filled pauses.

    The article characterizes the pace of speech as a research category which gives us the ability to analyze both normative and impaired speech. The practical part consists of the description of the research process and the obtained results. It is preceded by the theoretical part which describes the notions of the pace of speech and the pace of utterance and their main components. Special emphasis has been put on the notion of pause.     W opracowaniu podjęto temat szybkości mówienia osób dotkniętych chorobą Alzheimera (AD). Odwołując się do studiów literaturowych, badań eksperymentalnych, obliczeń ilościowych oraz ich statystycznej weryfikacji z wykorzystaniem testów: Shapiro-Wilka i Manna-Whitneya, wyznaczono tempo tworzenia wypowiedzi słownych w tej jednostce chorobowej. Dokonując analizy i deskrypcji tempa artykulacji (articulation rate) oraz tempa mówienia (speaking rate), decydujących o szybkości, z jaką mówią osoby dotknięte otępieniem alzheimerowskim, ocenie poddano także następujące parametry szczegółowe: średni udziału pauz w wypowiedziach (liczba + dane procentowe), średni czas trwania wszystkich pauz (s), średni czas trwania pauz właściwych (s), średni czas trwania pauz wypełnionych (s), średni czas trwania pauz częściowo wypełnionych (s). Rezultaty porównano z normami określonymi dla polszczyzny na gruncie ontolingwistyki. Otrzymane wyniki odniesiono także do wyników analogicznych, uzyskanych w grupie osób starzejących się fizjologicznie. Dodatkowo, dążąc do szerszej perspektywy badawczej, rezultaty porównano z wynikami uzyskanymi wśród osób autystycznych oraz niepełnosprawnych intelektualnie.
    This work discusses the subject of the pace of speech among people affected by Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Referring to published studies, experimental research, quantitative calculations and their statistical verification with the use of the Shapiro–Wilk and Mann–Whitney tests, the tempo of formation of word utterances with this disease is indicated. In conducting an analysis and description of the articulation rate as well as the speaking rate, determining the speed at which people suffering from Alzheimer’s speak, the following detailed parameters were evaluated: average share of pauses in utterances (number + percentage data), average duration of all pauses (s), average duration of appropriate pauses (s), average duration of filled pauses (s), average duration of partially filled pauses (s). The results were compared with norms determined for the Polish language on an ontolinguistic basis. The obtained results were also referred analogically to those obtained in the group of people physically aging. Additionally, in aiming to achieve a broader research perspective, the results were compared with results obtained among autistic and intellectually disabled people.

    The aim of the research was to analyse the rate of speech of physiologically and dementially ageing people with the following parameters in mind: the rate of speech and the rate of articulation, the ratio of pauses within the speech and their total duration, proper pauses and semi-filled pauses. The research data has been analysed with the use of Audacity software. Shapiro-Wilk and Mann-Whitney tests were utilised during the quantitative and the statistical stage of the study. The results obtained clearly show that the rate of speech of people with dementia is slower compared to the rate of speech of physiologically ageing people and to the control group, which consisted of children.
